We are on part 3 of this very awesome subject UNDERSTANDING THE BLESSEDNESS OF A REVIVAL. God’s presence is always accompanied by blessings. What we celebrate in a revival is a manifestation of divine presence not just in the midst of His people but also in the lives of each of His children. As a way of introduction, there is a shift in the realm of the spirit today. Just as the earth is in motion, God is ever on the move. He is on the move and He opens new chapters to His church as He carries us on. Numbers 9:15-23, every time the cloud moved they journeyed. Wherever the cloud settled, they settled. They moved like that till they got to the Promised Land. Church Gist. God is ever on the move. May the cloud of His glory never leave us behind. Every time He moved the cloud of glory moved, the pillar of fire for their protection and illumination moved. That is why there was not one feeble person among their tribe, they were under the canopy of heaven by moving with the cloud. There is a shift in the World of the Spirit today and we need to be sensitive to that shift. Isaiah 43:18-19. There is a shift today from the realm of promises to the realm of covenant. When we were growing up, we used to claim promises and claim and claim, many of them were unclaimable but we kept claiming and we were not experiencing the claims. Suddenly the cloud shifted to the revelation of the covenant. There is what we must do for God to do what He says He will do. Until we do what He says to do, we cannot commit Him to do what He says He will do. The ball is back in our court. Until we do what He says to do we cannot commit Him to do what He says to do. Again, there is a shift from the realm of meat and drink to righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Not what to eat and drink, there is a shift. Romans 14:17. What happens? Do you mean we don’t need meat or drink? You need it but this is God’s channel to having all your needs met. Matthew 6:33. Your Father knows you have need for these things but seek ye first. God is not pretending not to know that we need what to eat and what to drink but is showing us the way to gaining command of what to eat, what to drink and what to cloth ourselves. Psalm 34:10. It is a shift. When you get to the realm of this joy unspeakable full of glory. You gain unlimited access to revelation which is what connects us to our inheritance in Christ. Church Gist. So when you embrace the shift from seeking after meat and drink to seeking after His righteousness. The work of righteousness shall be peace, the effect of righteousness shall be quietness and assurance. Do you know what is peace? God will take over your battle when your peace is in place. Exodus 14:14. That is how that shift must be embraced. The peace transfers your battle to God, the joy gives you unlimited access to revelation. People are in need because they don’t know what they need. Something is breaking forth in your life.
It is our spiritual stamina that defines the limit of His blessings in our lives. 3 John 2. God does not tempt anyone with evil and His glory comes in wit. You don’t put a bag of cement on a toddler, he will die without any attack. The weight is too much. So we need to develop spiritual weight to secure the next level of glory because glory is in weight. 2 Corinthians 4:15. Spiritual renewal is key to a world of unending breakthroughs. Psalm 112:1-3 So it has left his realm to his seed. Unending breakthroughs are the lot of those who go after this shift. His righteousness endures forever that is what facilitates that unending breakthrough. Don’t be deceived, the Word says he that doeth righteousness is righteous. Church Gist. The anchor of every revival is the stirring of the fear of God in the lives of God’s people. Every revival is a spiritual awakening, people are awoken from their spiritual slumber. So if nothing is changing in a man’s spiritual life in a revival, he is not a partaker of it. 1 Corinthians 15:33-34. Don’t think that you are anointed or that you are strong and then you start relating with just any Jack and Harry on the street. You will fall like a pack of cards. We need to come awake and stay awake so we don’t lose our place in God’s agenda. A revival that is void of spiritual renewal is fake. We have been trying to examine and define what a revival is.
Let’s go back to it again this morning as we move forward.
A revival can be defined as a move of the Spirit that stirs the spirit of men to commit to God and Kingdom advancement endeavours. A renewal of dedication to God and the interests of His kingdom. That is a revival. That’s spiritual awakening. Haggai 1:14. A revival broke out in 2 Chronicles 15 and Asa took courage and put away all abominable things. That is a revival. Church Gist. You put away the things God hates, you hate what God hates. That is a revival. You are desperate to please God. That is a revival. Whatever God says is off His interest, get rid of it. That is a revival, it is not singing and shouting, it is a renewed relationship with God and the interests of His kingdom. I can tell you this, it secures a glorious future in grand style. Psalm 112:1-3. He has his pleasure in God.
2. A revival can be defined as a move of the Spirit ordained to terminate all frustrations and afflictions of God’s people thereby turning them into the envy of their world.
All mountains are shattered in a revival, all perpetual hills are brought low in a revival. So every barrier on the path of your glorious destiny is ordained for a crash in the course of a revival. Therefore, all the things that make people weep behind closed doors will clear like a dream of the night because we are in a revival. So if you are in a revival, it is a different thing between saying we are in a revival and you being in a revival. When you are in it, it shows. No barrier on your path shall survive. Every barrier on your spiritual path shall be crushed. Though nothing may be happening as you keep engaging but keep rejoicing as you engage, He will show up and make your feet like hinds feet and make you walk upon your high places. Habakkuk 3:3-6, 17-19. He changes the stories of His people dramatically in the midst of a revival. Zephaniah 3:17-19. Church Gist. That’s what He does in a revival. When God is in the midst of a people, He changes their stories supernaturally. He turns their lives around for His glory. So expect a dramatic turnaround for His glory. Let it begin from your spiritual life. Lord, I desire a dramatic turnaround in my spiritual life. Because when it is well with you spiritually it will be well with you in every area of your life. Romans 8:6. People don’t mind the details of scriptures so they get spiritually stagnated. Check out on those folks who hang on to God as their way of life, it is always well with them everywhere. It is always well all around them. They may be challenged but they are never overcome, they always emerge victorious over every battle. That will be your new phase of life. That is where you are going right now.
Somebody will now ask me or may ask, if redemption has made so much provision why are still many believers struggling for survival? I will give you two or three reasons. Now, every born again child of God is redeemed a light to his world but with a responsibility to let that light keep shining. He has that responsibility. You can liken that light to a rechargeable lamp. Here is a lamp, the battery is charged but if you don’t connect that battery to a power source, the battery will go flat, the light will go out and darkness will come back. That is the undoing of many believers. They have a lamp whose battery is gone off and the light is no longer shining. The power of darkness is in the absence of light. When light goes off, darkness comes back. Church Gist. The darkness is all about the realm of weeping and gnashing of teeth. That is the realm of darkness. We need to be conscious of this. Don’t watch the battery of your salvation go flat, it can be costly. You have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light. Don’t get back there it will be worse than when you were first there. When your battery goes flat, just like your telephone, you cannot make any call no matter how strong the network is. When your battery goes flat, you can’t pray.
Where do I plug my salvation battery to keep it charging? The church. No matter how strong you are, if you stop coming to Church, in three months you go flat. That is what Coro did to many churches around the world. One of the great nations, only one third of membership has returned. Some are virtually empty. A disconnect from fellowship gets your battery to go flat. You know there is a way the battery goes flat that it can’t be recharged. Church Gist. That is how powerful fellowship is. If you find any believer who because of one breakthrough or the other disconnects from fellowship, he is on his way out. We have seen many of them around. His language will be defied, his steps will be ugly, his approach to life will be so strange you will be wondering if he is not the believer you used to know.
The second reason is going after other gods. Which many believers are guilty of. Other gods include professional prophets that prophesy to them. “Your wife is your problem. Your first son is a witch” And they keep going, I can’t understand. That is spiritual adultery and you are on your way to divorce. Your creator is your husband so going after another god is adultery. Church Gist. He espoused us to one husband, his name is Christ. You just get divorced back to darkness. That will not happen to anyone here. That is why we must come awake and pray for grace to stay awake so all things can keep working together for your good. No one will miss his place. Thank you Lord.
This season must mark a turning point in everyone’s spiritual life. So we must fight against the spirit of slumber because a sleeper state is a dead state. Isaiah 56:10-11. We saw the spirit of slumber there. We have to fight against it, engage the name of Jesus so we can stay awake. Romans 13:11-14. That is what a revival is all about, it is to get us awake from our sleep to start doing what pleases God as dictated in scriptures. Acts 17:30-31. A day is coming so let us come awake and receive grace to stay awake. There is a timeline for repentance and God is counting. That judgement has not struck does not mean approval for a sinful life. Revelation 2:21-22. There is a space for repentance. He said these ten times you have provoked me, I am not going to take it again. Church Gist. So He is counting. Numbers 14:22. God is counting. A revival is a call to genuine repentance so that a time of refreshing can come from the Lord. It is time to turn for things to turn for us. Acts 3:19. There is a need for genuine repentance, God is counting. We saw the man, Esau, he had no room for repentance so he sought it bitterly with tears. Time will not be over in our lives. We are going to get there.
When is a revival said to occur? When the Word of God continues to come alive in one’s heart in increasing dimensions. Revival time is a time of explosive revelation. If you are there, you will know you are there. What has God been speaking to you since these three weeks? Have you heard any news from heaven? Church Gist. Jeremiah 31:34. It is a season of explosive revelation of the Word. Before this season is over God will show you details of the issues in your life and which step to take to come out of every unwanted situation and you will be glad to know that.
A revival is said to occur when going to church becomes a way of life, you are not been coerced or pressurised. It is a way of life. When the revival broke out in Acts, they were there in every house giving heed to the Apostle’s doctrine and breaking of bread daily. Church Gist. Acts 2:46-47. Acts 5:42. Daily! Going to church becomes a delight. You are glad when they say it is time to go to Church. You are excited because you know what it is all about.
What is in a revival for us? Every move of God is accompanied with blessings. Among the blessings in a revival is financial fortune. Financial fortune is unleashed on every engaging believer in a revival. Many of us are beneficiaries of that today. Through commitment to kingdom advancement endeavours we begin to enjoy a financial boom. I have one practical example here – The story of South Korea. In 1945, South Korea was about 400,000 people and the nation was among the poorest in the world. 40 years after, by a revival that broke out in the nation, South Korea has emerged as the 13th Most Industrialized Nation of the world. Revival bringing out economic awakening, explosive! By this time that population had become 13 million and about 4 million of them were believers. Every revival is accompanied with blessings, among which is financial fortune. The financial fortune of your church is a product of the spiritual awakening that has been on here over the years. Zero financial pressure. Church Gist. Zero! Pastors meeting, no prayer for finance. Deacons meeting, no prayer like that. It is not a concern, it is a natural flow. As you engage with God, He keeps showing His blessings so He can keep expanding His kingdom. If you know the purpose you won’t miss the blessing. The purpose of the blessing is to keep you promoting the Kingdom, when you stop, it stops. Zechariah 1:17. He prospers His people to spread His kingdom. No matter what forces are against you, He shatters them because He has His purpose for blessing you. No one will miss his part out of this, the days of begging are over in your life. Luke 16:11.
Here we are today, on our Covenant Day of Healing. Divine health is the lot of every believer engaging in a revival. Today is our Covenant Day of Healing, every oppression of the devil on your life shall clear the way today. Exodus 23:25-26. That is one of the amazing blessings in dedication to kingdom advancement stewardship. It is a covenant between God and His people. Do what I say and you have committed me to do what I said I will do. Thou shall serve and I shall bless. Church Gist. I shall take sickness away from you, I will ensure you are never barren or cast your young in the land. The number of your days I will fulfil. The devil can’t determine your time here. He is a covenant-keeping God. Thou shall serve and I shall bless. Your days of begging are over. God who feeds the ravens is still alive, God who clothes the lilies is still alive. You never go naked, you never beg for bread.
In 2 Corinthians 5, every child of God is redeemed as an ambassador for Christ. We are on a mission to reconcile the word back to God. Every faithful ambassador is entitled to healthy living. Proverbs 13:17. When you are faithfully committed to reconciling the world back to God, you have committed God to keep you healthy. He that bears fruits, He will prune so he can keep bearing more fruit. Therefore in the name of Jesus, every oppression of the devil on your health comes to an end today. Church Gist. So it is not about waiting to have it, it is about taking steps to secure it. Already provided, just do your part and leave God to His part. Stop struggling with God’s part, you cannot do His part. We are not permitted to serve sickness serving God. Serving God exempts us from serving sickness. Every siege of sickness and disease over anyone’s life is over today.
Now listen to this, medical science is utterly limited. That woman spent all her living on physicians but was not any better for 12 years. People pride themselves in who their doctors are. Zero! Christ went about healing all manner of sickness and diseases. Acts 10:38. Oppressions of the devil have no medical cure. They can’t see that in the scan, you can’t find it in an X-ray or a blood count. The doctor will tell you there is nothing wrong but you know there is something wrong. That is why Jesus is the final bus stop on all health matters. He never refers a case elsewhere. Jesus never referred any case any time. He is our final bustop. Jesus gave them the oil and they went everywhere and anointed as many that were sick and healed them. Church Gist. No probability. The oil is a major balm in Gilead. Mark 6:7, 12-13. His unction heals all manner of sickness and diseases. There went virtue out of Him and healed every one of them. Oppression of the devil, physiological disorders, psychological disorders, he healed all of them. Today the Lord spoke to me to anoint you from the altar. You have come to Mount Zion where there shall be deliverance so whatever is holding you bound shall be broken today.
You see that my son, the devil wanted to mess up his life. Young chap! Just finished a business meeting and just went bizarre. Poor devil! It is an oppression of the devil, if they never found their way to Jesus that would be the end. Now, you have found your way to Jesus this morning. That affliction must end. Everyone appointed to death is declared free. Every incurable disease is declared cured. Every terminal disease is terminated. Church Gist. Today, cancer shall be humiliated. Every deformity – partial deafness, partial blindness shall be healed today. The blind shall receive their sight today. The leper shall be cleansed today. Everything out of order in everyone’s life will come back to order. Every blood disease shall be healed today.
Now watch, emotional diseases are as devastating as physical sickness. People commit suicide not because they have a pain in their stomach. They just have emotional instability, they just can’t handle the situation that they are facing. Every emotional disease that is tormenting any individual today shall be healed and the individual set free. You shall be set free from emotional diseases. Today shall be a day you will remember in the name of Jesus Christ. Matthew 4:23, 8:16-17. He cast out the evil spirits by His Word and healed all that were sick. Today is your day. Church Gist. No matter the source of that attack on your life, it is going back to the sender. He does not only heal the sick, He raises the dead. Everything dying or dead in your system will come back to life today. Dead kidneys will come back to life. Dying or dead lungs will come back to life. Church Gist. Dying or dead liver will come back to life. They said Lazarus is already stinking and He said ‘Hold it, that is my area of specialty. Lazarus, come forth. Who said you are stinking?’ He that was dead came forth. By the power of the Word, everything dying and dead in you is coming back to life.
The oil remains a vital healing balm in the Kingdom. James 5:14-15. What is in the oil? The spirit of the Lord. David was anointed with oil and the Spirit of the Lord came upon him from that day on. When the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jesus, He was setting free the captives, opening the eyes of the blind, causing the lame to walk. Church Gist. May the forces of the Spirit of the Lord in the oil sort everyone out supernaturally today. Today by the anointing, the weight of sickness and diseases on your shoulder shall be rolled away. Every plague choking your neck shall be destroyed.
Healing is the right of all His children. Jesus said it is the children’s bread. If a man does not provide for his own household, he has denied the faith. 1 Timothy 5:8. So He provides our bread for us as members of His family. He told the Canaanite woman that we don’t cast the bread of children to dogs. Church Gist. It is the right of all his children to enjoy divine health. The price was paid the same day the price for our sin was paid. So we have a right to it. It is free yet it is real. When you are born again, it becomes your right to be healed and as you take responsibility, you stay healthy.
“Somebody touched me,” Jesus said, “because virtue has gone out of me” and he said, “Woman, thy faith has made you whole.” I like you right now to express your faith in this awesome prescription of the Great Physician. It takes an individual’s faith to connect with the virtue that heals. Church Gist. With your genuine faith, no devil in hell can stop your healing from taking place now. Ephesians 6:16. Isaiah 10:27. Today by the mystery of the anointing which carries the presence of the Spirit of the Lord, every yoke on your life is declared destroyed.
– The dumb will speak today.
– The deaf will hear clearly.
– The blind will see today.
– Every deformity will disappear on its own.
– I decree the termination of every terminal disease. Cancer shall be humiliated.
– Every failing organ bounces back to life.
– Every spiritual infirmity is finally over in the name of Jesus.
In the name of Jesus, the dead shall be raised. The lame shall walk, the blind shall see. All manner is sickness and diseases shall be healed as you anoint them. One of our daughters was on her way to work and heard some people crying so she stopped. It was a child that died, she brought out her bottle of oil from her bag, anointed the dead child and the child came back to life. She was on her way to work. Signs and wonders will be wrought by your hands. Church Gist. Somebody’s husband was declared dead. The wife began to anoint him while they were waiting for the body to be carried to the mortuary. The man jacked back to life. They never slept in that hospital that night, Jesus honoured his Word. Everything you anoint shall be a no-go area for the devil. So anoint your houses today, it becomes a no-go area for the devil. Anoint your business tomorrow, it shall be a no-go area for the devil. Anoint the pictures of your children who are not around. The same virtue flowing here will flow in their lives.
Don’t eat up His testimony. Share it. The only way to preserve, perfect and multiply your healing is to share it. Whatever you see here today Jesus did it. Church Gist. He is always waiting to be acknowledged, if you don’t acknowledge him you don’t get your testimony perfected. All the testimonies represented here today are declared permanent. There shall be no reversal.
Next Sunday is our Covenant Day of Marital Breakthroughs. The good news is every siege of unending marital crisis shall come to an end. Every siege of marital delay shall come to an end. The days of mourning in your marriages are finally over. The days of packing out today and coming back tomorrow are finally over. The threat of divorce is finally over. Church Gist. For everyone set for marriage, as the Lord lives who sent me and by the unction on this Commission, your days of waiting are finally over. Your life shall enjoy a thoroughfare.
