The core story changer in the Kingdom is light. ‘Let there be light” was the foundation that gave shape to the world. Genesis 1:3. The earth was without form and void until God stood up to it and called light to set the pace for the wonders we see in the world today. Isaiah 60:1. Arise, shine, your light is come to effect your change of story. 2 Corinthians 3:18. Light is sweet. It gives taste to living. Redemption without light equals frustration. Light is what opens new chapters to our lives. Church Gist. May the outbreak of light in the course of these 21 days of prayer and fasting remain lifelong assets to you. Ecceliesiates 11:7. No one ever doubts what they can see and it is to you according to your faith. What you can see. Genesis 13:14-15. Light opens up destinies. That is why after the anointing which gives access to light, light comes on the scene to set the pace to our glorious destiny. In the precious name of Jesus, grace to value light as it comes our way receive it now.
Father, thank you! Tonight we are again at your feet and on the third day you will raise us up. Let there be a tangible change of position tonight for every one connected to this service from around the world. Church Gist. Thank you Father for strength. Thank you for renewal of strength. Thank you for answers to prayers in Jesus name.
Just today, that young man came out of his frustration because it is our year of Fortune. His misfortune ended. Any air of misfortune around any one of us must end this time. Some fellows went after him, he found his way back to Jesus and Jesus turned his misfortune to open fortune. Church Gist. They found the rifle that was said to be stolen, restored him back to his place and where he was supposed to be for eight years, he was there for two years and Jesus set him free. Somebody is here, any air of misfortune around your life, around your children, around what belongs to you must end within these 21 days of prayer and fasting.
Every great story in the Kingdom is traceable to encounter with light. You can’t have an encounter with light and walk in that light without a story to tell. Church Gist. That is the guarantee of the change of story that light brings about.
UNDERSTANDING THE GUARANTEED OUTCOMES FROM THE PLATFORM OF PRAYER AND FASTING.
We have already looked at two of these outcomes which includes spiritual empowerment and the stirring of our love for God and the interests of His Kingdom. Now, today we shall be looking at four others as follows.
1. Prayer and fasting is a covenant platform that changes our level of sanctification.
Nine verses in Isaiah 58:6-14, four of these verses touch on sanctification. Which imply that sanctification is a major outcome from the platform of prayer and fasting. This includes verses 7,8,9 and 13. They all touch on sanctification. You find sanctification appears a major outcome, something to look out for when we are in a fast. What a time to do that because that gets you on God’s side, the flourishing side of life. Psalm 33:18-19. Sanctification secures our destiny in hard times. Psalm 37:18-19. Church Gist. Whatever is happening on the earth, it won’t tamper with them. In the teaching of Jesus on prayer he asked us to pray “lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil.” Every item in that chapter of scriptures is ordained for daily engagement. Every other thing there is daily. That is how vital that is to keep us on God’s side. Remember Jesus said those that hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled. There is a place to hunger and thirst for it. Fasting is one of the platforms that enhances the breaking forth of our righteousness. Matthew 26:41
We have to take covenant responsibility to live a sanctified life. 2 Timothy 2:19-21. That defines four categories of believers – the gold believers, the silver believers, the wood and the earth. 1 John 3:3. So our covenant responsibility includes prayer and fasting. Church Gist. Why? To break the hold of the wicked on our life that wants to defy us and make God turn his back on us. Matthew 6:17-18. When thou fasts, not it. So it is an agenda of God for men. So, fasting and prayer is ordained of God to break the hold. Matthew 17:21.
– Every unwanted habit in anyone’s life that is hindering the way forward must go off this time.
Matthew 17:20,21.
– Every kind that has proven to be stubborn must clear the way this time.
2: Praying for access to the cleansing Word of life. John 17:17. John 15:3. Ephesians 5:26. Psalm 119:9-11. Church Gist. There is the cleansing Word that we need access to. When that word comes through, we are cleansed.
3: Craving for the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. There is the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. Jesus himself needed it. He called it the Spirit of holiness. Romans 1:4. Spirit of the fear of the Lord. Isaiah 11:1,2. Church Gist. It is also what we call the Spirit of holiness. We all need that. It becomes simpler by recognizing it as the Spirit of obedience. John 8:29. Ezekiel 36:26,27. It enables us to do the will of God without struggles.
– May each one return from here today with a fresh enduement with the Spirit of obedience.
– May we all return from here tonight with the fresh enduement with the Spirit of the fear of the Lord.
– May we all return from this service tonight with a fresh enduement of the Spirit of holiness.
God won’t tell you and I to do what He has not engraced us to do. 1 Peter 1:15,16. Matthew 5:48. He can’t tell us to be what He has not engraced us to be. That means He has made provisions for us to be if you want to be and among the provisions is what we are talking about. Church Gist. Let’s seek the same way we seek for breakthroughs. Let’s seek for the Spirit of holiness, seek for the Spirit of the fear of the Lord, seek for the Spirit of obedience. It will open up destiny in grand styles.
The Lord spoke to me, He said ‘Reposition the Church spiritually for next level of breakthroughs’. Church Gist. Our breakthroughs will not exceed our spiritual breakthroughs. That’s where the limit of our breakthrough is defined. 3 John 1:2.
– Somebody’s story is changing!
4: Engage the power of the blood for the purging of our conscience. The only spiritual virtue that has access to the conscience of the believers is the blood. Hebrews 9:14. We need to get to that point, sir. He said ‘Turn to your stronghold’. It’s a spiritual stronghold on warfare. The blood. When the blood came down from Jesus to the Earth, there was an earthquake, there was darkness. Amen? It’s God’s last card in dealing with any stubborn situation, the blood. Church Gist. Exodus 11:1. So, He brought the blood in and all the gods of Egypt gave up. The blood. So, everything that won’t let you go, put in the blood, engage the blood, they will lose their grip off you. The blood is ordained to purge our conscience of dead works and reposition us to serve the living God and what a joy tonight, we are partaking of the blood of Jesus. It has capacity to purge our conscience from dead works.
– Anything you don’t want to see anymore must die tonight.
Why must we crave for this? Sir, it blocks access to prayers. It robs us of our inheritance in Christ by blocking access to revelation. Church Gist. It makes our giving ineffectual. Almost everything that decorates destiny is tempered with when we toy with the fear of the Lord.
Zechariah 9:11,12. It has power to bring us out of the dungeon of sin into the realms of glory in the precious name of Jesus by the blood of that everlasting covenant. Church Gist. If you check that scripture through from verse 9, it is talking about the blood of Jesus, ‘The one that is riding on the colt’. It’s the blood of the everlasting covenant, it’s still bringing people out today.
– He’s bringing someone out here tonight from every unwanted situation of your life.
– The same way God brought out that my son from the prison in grand styles without any human hand, God will change someone’s story.
5: We’re talking about covenant responsibility to live a sanctified life. Praying for the grace to take responsibility, to do what you must do in order to be free. Church Gist. Hebrews 4:16. 1 Corinthians 15:10. 1 Thessalonians 2:10. Grace to behave according to order. Grace to behave according to the dictates of the scriptures. We need grace for it.
The number two aspect of the outcomes of prayer and fasting is the outbreak of revelation. Isaiah 58:8. Outbreak of light! We fast our way into revelation. Why? 2 Corinthians 4:4. So there is a battle against access to light. Satan will like to keep anybody religious for life. “God will do whatever He wants to do at any time He wants to do” – he says, ‘yes you are very correct.’ Church Gist. He wants to keep you and I away from accessing the light of scriptures which make highflyers on the earth. Isaiah 60:1,22. Flight!
Light empowers for flight. Satan hates us to gain access to light because he operates in the realm of darkness and when light comes, we disarm him. Church Gist. So, he wants to block our access to light and some resistance will not clear except by prayer and fasting. So we must continue to pray to gain access to light. Psalm 119:18, Jeremiah 33:3.
We are in the days of darkness and gloominess in the World today and light is the only power that can set people free. You can’t be free from the torture and torment of darkness without light. Church Gist. No other weapon has any impact without light. Light first and then other weapons can now have value. Without light, darkness will prevail.
No power can be a substitute to light in the battle against darkness. Joel 2:1-2…It will precede the day of His coming. Amen! This is the Chapter that defines the end time army. The days of darkness and gloominess will precede the day of His coming. Church Gist. But in the midst of that darkness, a great people shall emerge. You can’t emerge in darkness without light. Unusual light will come to the Church. Praise the Lord!
Revelation of the Word is one force the devil has no answer to. Christ came on and said it is written – one. It is written – two. It is written, he fled. He can’t stand light. No devil in hell can stand light. Luke 22:53. The ultimate the devil has is called the power of darkness. Church Gist. So when you come in with light, darkness bows. Because we are in the days of gross darkness, we are in the days of great light that will cause God’s people to emerge while the World is suffering and cringing under the torment and torture of darkness. John 1:1-5. Darkness can’t handle it. No power of darkness in hell can challenge the authority of the light from Scriptures. No level of power of darkness can resist the authority of the power of light from Scriptures.
I once shared a testimony in 1979 after reading the book ‘The Apostle of Faith.’ It was a book on Smith Wigglesworth. I saw my far above status in redemption. I was intoxicated with it and I went on to represent one of my brothers who couldn’t go for a meeting he was invited for. After making the altar call, I got very furious. “How many of you are witches here? Stand up!” Church Gist. They stood up, so many. I said “sir come down my friend. I’m not asking whether they accused you of being a witch. If you are a practicing witch, stand up” and they stood up en masse.” I asked one of them “come on here, tell me what do you do with the devil?” He said “anytime we want to suck blood, we get on the road, any vehicle coming, we cause it to summersault and we suck the blood thereof.” I said “what of when people like us are coming?” You know, I’m talking about light. What light does is to embolden you and stir your confidence in God. He said “when we sense a higher power on the way, we clear off the highway.”
– From today, evil will start clearing the way for you!
Acts 19:15, Luke 4:34. So this power destroys the hold of the wicked.
– I believe it’s our turn for a change of story in the name of Jesus!
There is no substitute for light in our battle against the powers of darkness. So a quest for revelation is wisdom. In this World of gross darkness, we need light. Guess work hardly works in the Kingdom. Guess work hardly works. Church Gist. We must stop living our lives to chance otherwise we have no chance. Let’s live our lives to the choice of light from the Word. Let the Word dictate the steps we take in the way we go.
“Have you come to torment us before the time?” So light torments darkness and Christ is the Light. “As long as I am in the World, I am the Light of the World.” Church Gist. So light has power to torment darkness. Light has power to destroy darkness.
– From now, I see evil clearing the way from you because evil bows before the good and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
– I see evil bowing at your instance. You step in anywhere, evil will step out of the place!
Number 3 we are looking at is restoration of health and vitality. Isaiah 58:8. Most sickness and diseases are raw oppressions of the devil and they operate in the realm of darkness. Ephesians 6:12. We wrestle not wrestled – present continuous tense. Church Gist. Acts 10:38. So most sickness that Jesus healed were raw oppressions of the devil. This is why God’s healing power resides in His Word. He was teaching, the Bible says “and the power of God was present to heal” – Luke 5:17, Matthew 4:23.
I like you to get ready to be here on Friday night. God has given me some good news for the Winners Family Worldwide. We shall torment sickness this year. Death won’t take anyone again for cheap. Wherever they may be, whether on their sick bed, God’s Word will blow forth. Church Gist. We shall torment the powers of sickness and rescue everyone appointed to death. Only the aged shall be buried in this Church by the power of light.
Matthew 8:8-10,13. A Word was going on here in our Midweek Service and someone who fled from Ghana because of the harassment of the family idol, the Word went forth and the idol vanished from the shrine. Church Gist. Every siege of the wicked tormenting your life, as you encounter the light of His Word they will vanish off their hiding places.
Let’s look briefly at how the Word stirs restoration of health and vitality.
The Word is light that shatters the powers of darkness.
This is why whenever light breaks forth, health springs forth by the power of light. Also, we partake of divine nature from the Word which is immune to sickness and disease. People don’t die in heaven. 2 Peter 1:4. We escape what torments the world by partaking of divine nature. Church Gist. Divine nature resides in the Word. The more of the Word we imbibe, the more divine nature we give expression to. That is immune to sickness and disease. We must therefore pray for the sent word that heals and delivers. Everyone must encounter the sent Word in this season. Psalm 107:20.
4. Fasting and prayer is a platform that grants us access to our high places.
You can’t put together those five things already dealt with and not change level. You can’t access the anointing and not change level. Jesus returned and his fame went all abroad. He returned in the power of the Spirit. You can’t walk in love and not be a surprise. What eyes have not seen nor ears heard becomes your portion. You can’t seek after righteousness and not flourish in hard times. High places! Fasting and prayer set the pace for our flight into realms and heights that our energy and strength cannot get us into. The master key to our high places is called obedience. Church Gist. Deuteronomy 28:1. So when you say “I don’t believe that,” you are just saying “Lord leave me where I am.” Anything the Word says is a step forward. Doing anything the Word commands to do is a step forward. Ignoring what the Word says to do is going backwards. Luke 6:46. Nothing flies like obedience in the Kingdom of God. Psalm 112:1-3. No games! Genesis 22:16-18. Obedience will turn a global citizen out of a local entity. Delightsome obedience to the Word of God will turn a global star out of a local entity. Get ready for such liftings this year as you connect with what the prayer and fasting platform offers and engage to secure your place in it. It shall be a great time for every one of us in the name of Jesus.
Back in 1984, I was in the scriptures, in Deuteronomy 28 and the Lord said to me, “Son, there is a place for you on top if you are interested. Then I responded “Yes, Lord I am interested” Then He said “Whatever I tell you to do, do it. That was where I saw that putting the Word to work can set any man above all the nations on the earth. It is one thing to see it, it is another thing to walk in it. Let God’s Word be strong enough to determine your steps in life. Don’t pull your shoulders against God, it doesn’t work. Church Gist. Simple obedience like Abraham, “Get out of thy country” at once he departed. “Circumcise all the males born in your household” immediately. “Bring your only son Isaac” he rose up early in the morning. Galatians 3:14. Jesus died to connect us to the realm of Abrahamic blessings. John 8:39. That is the way to secure our way to our high places.
Crave for God to move you from the realm of revelation to the realm of illumination. We have the two of them in John 1:5, 9. Revelation is enlightenment, illumination is being the light. Glory to God! Because darkness can’t stand light, wherever you appear, light appears. Luke 4:33-34, 6:26. Church Gist. You will need to quote scriptures for the devil to clear when you are enlightened but he clears at your instance when you are illuminated. Enough of every harassment of the enemy, Lord move me from the realm of revelation to the realm of illumination.
– Your dominion over failure, over sickness, over defilement shall be established.
– May everything you have asked for be turned into a testimony in your life.
– Every passing day of this season shall be a step forward for us.
