Somebody is asking why these operations every time? Would you ask yourself this question: why do I have to go to work every day? Why every day. Five years have passed, ten years, twenty years, why must I keep going? Now answer that question. When you stop going, your source of bread is cut. When you stop going, poverty becomes your new companion. Church Gist. When you stop going, begging to survive becomes your new lifestyle. When we stop serving Him, the blessings of service stops. Exodus 23:25-26. Job 36:11. Jesus came down with a verdict “Occupy till I come.” I mean, this task is till I come. Even in old age, you shall still be bringing forth fruits. It is a task of ‘till I come’.
Please don’t be trapped by self commendation. There is no ceiling on the destiny of a believer. It is ordained to be from glory to glory and strength to strength. It is when we stop serving that the changes stop. Church Gist. Don’t trash those publications, they are sent to you. Haggai 1:1, 2:1. In Habakkuk 3:2, He calls it “the midst of the year”, it is ordained a revival time that leads to our high places. So no matter how high you have gone, you are going higher. That is what it is.
I have been in this on a covenant platform since 1976. I was called to ministry only five years after, so it has nothing to do with ministry. It has nothing to do with being called to ministry. Respond for your own good. Pray to the point of transfiguration. We just concluded the 40 days adventure, I saw things and I heard things that I never knew existed. Church Gist. Yet God has been speaking to me from His Word consciously since 1970. There are things He told me from His Word, not by preaching, that are still working in my life today. Please reorder your heart. Until you give God His place, your place is not secure. I wrote a covenant back, 12th September 1976. It was me and God in the night when I saw what I call the jackpot of life. It is working like fire. Don’t join the group of those who scorn the prophetic Word. “They have started again, three epistles in one day. Have you seen that kind of thing? They don’t think we have a job to do?” una well done.
I found myself flying at 42. I was called to ministry at 28. It doesn’t take long, it takes truth. I will fly till Jesus comes. This Ministry will be on wings until Jesus comes. Church Gist. What is it? Nothing. Suddenly – the richest pastor in the world. How? From this ‘4th’ World country. Your place is determined by you. Please come awake. This shall indeed be a season of glory for you, your family and the works of your hand.
He said “from such, turn away…” Stay off from spiritual freezers. I call them spiritual freezers. Did you hear what they said in the Church today? We should be pushing, I can’t push anything. To push for what? Am I a pastor? Don’t crack a joke with your destiny. Don’t! I remember my friend will say “No! We have other things to do.” When we were growing up. I said thank you. Church Gist. I have found one thing to do and it impacts on all that you do. We are not spiritual robots. That is why everything we lay our hands upon works. Covenant University is working, Landmark University is working, Faith Academy is working, KHMS is working. Everything is working. Which church did you see that services 2000 people every week? 2000 every week! On welfare. From now, everything in your hand will start working.
Don’t be tired of God or you are tired of good. Don’t be tired of His instructions if you are not tired of His blessings. Church Gist. Don’t be tired of serving Him or you end up serving the enemy. God forbid.
UNVEILING THE MYSTERY OF FINANCIAL FORTUNE IN THE KINGDOM 4.
As we conclude this series today, today we look at three major channels through which financial fortune flows. We find this packaged in Joshua 1:8. Church Gist. Three major channels – your thoughts, your words and your works. Thou shall do and then you make your way prosperous and then you have good success. So our financial fortune requires those three channels for delivery.
1.Our Thoughts
As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. You can’t think lack and stumble on plenty. You can’t think poverty and experience prosperity. Proverbs 4:23.
No matter how hard you give, if your thoughts are contrary to the reality of God’s prosperity agenda, it’ll never come.
-I therefore decree that every anti-covenant thought be rooted out of everyone’s life!
1 Kings 8:17-18. So, our prosperity begins with our thoughts on the inside. So, we need a prayer of David. Psalm 19:34. Church Gist. We need that prayer. 1 Samuel 16:7. Jeremiah 17:10 So, God searches our heart to determine what He will place in our hands. We have never solicited any aid from any nation in 44 years of ministry. It was the normal thing to do in our days but no, not once because there was no poverty mentality, it was crushed by insight. Church Gist. Proverbs 4:20-23. It is the abundance of the heart that determines one’s abundance in life. Romans 10:12.
I’ll never be a racist till I go to Heaven because I have spiritual roots largely among those giants from the West. I got saved through one of them. Church Gist. But the truth is, He’s made all nations of one blood. There are no superior nations, there are no inferior nations. Therefore, guard up the loins of your mind, let your mind be settled on the validity of Scriptures. Philippians 4:8. So, we have a thinking syllabus.
I went to ORU (Oral Roberts University), I said one night, “this is God but it can happen anywhere else”. Covenant mentality matters to experience covenant blessings. Church Gist. “It can happen anywhere else” and when a team came from ORU, they said, “how did you get to do what took us 30 years to do in 3 years?” It’s God. Relax! Your thoughts have cost you a lot, tame it. “Nobody can build a house in this country now, it’s a lie”. What are they building? Sir, thieves don’t build oh because they’ll find out where they got the money from. Thieves can’t build. People are building everyday. “No, it can’t be except you’re a thief”. Church Gist. Okay, is your Church a thief? Amen? We’re just going back now to massive rural Church buildings. It’s your thoughts, it has cost so much setback without your knowledge.
Somebody in those days said, when he had some challenge with one of the brethren, he said, “all I have in Heaven and on earth is that money”. In Heaven and on earth? What of your tithe?
-I therefore decree the release of every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God in your life!
-I command every thought to be brought into subjection!
2 Corinthians 10:3-6. That is, the stronghold of the mind, you have to know how to conquer it. “No, I know what God said but the reality is..” eh? Church Gist. Which one is reality? Your own view or God’s Word? 2 Corinthians 10:5. Thank you Jesus.
Imaginations. People are just tormented by negative imaginations and we saw the power of imagination in Genesis 11:6. Church Gist. Imaginations, they’re strongholds of the wicked that holds Believers captive.
-Somebody is free! If you’re that one, let me hear the loudest Amen.
2. Financial fortune is tied to the words of our mouth.
Proverbs 18:21. Only those who speak good things see them. Ecclesiastes 5:6. Church Gist. So, the words of our mouths can destroy the works of our hands. Psalm 34:12-13. “I’m just cracking joke. I’m done. Nothing more. This is my cross”. Church Gist. Psalm 34:14. Do you want to see good things? Speak good things.
Psalm 35:27. Let them keep speaking prosperous words – Words of Prosperity. Continually!! One of our concerned women in Kaduna Church, one of our deaconesses was very bothered about how they were talking against me and came in that Wednesday before the Service and said: “Sir, please!!! Stop saying you will be rich. They’re all talking against you.” Ah! Ah! I said: “Wait a minute! Is it not me they’re talking against. Church Gist. Why are you crying?” I got to service I said: “Look! One of you was crying today that I should not say I will be rich. Ah! I will not only be rich oo, I’ll be the richest.” I looked at where she was sitting, she laughed; that, why did I go there to tell (everyone). Eh? It became worse because you stop me from saying it, I’ll (not) stop saying it. The money seed you sow requires watering and it’s with the words of your mouth that you water your seed. So many people’s seeds have suffered a lot of drought. It’s time to check it!
Proverbs 13:2. He doesn’t know how to talk, he will keep destroying what he is doing. Proverbs 12:14. That is, what he does with his hand will attract results through what he says with his mouth. Proverbs 18:20. Be careful, what you say. Hebrews 13:15. One way to tame your tongue is to be filled with thanksgiving. Can I hear your Amen? Psalm 67:5-7. Church Gist. You don’t thank God for one? It will never become two. You don’t thank Him for two? You don’t expect four. You don’t thank Him for ten? You are far from seeing twenty. You thank Him for a hundred? You are on your way to seeing a thousand. Thank Him for a thousand? You’re on your way to seeing hundreds of them. What you say with your mouth today is what you see tomorrow. Giving thanks has a multiplier’s effect. Jesus gave thanks and the bread multiplied supernaturally.
Mark 11:23. Whatever you say today, is what you see tomorrow. Proverbs 13:3. “It’s not working!!” Because of the way you think and the way you speak. The Scriptures cannot be broken. You can’t keep thinking sickness and enjoy health. You can’t keep thinking failure and see success. You are what you say! You can’t keep talking sickness and see health. You can’t keep talking failure and stumble on success. “Set a watch over my mouth oh Lord and a guide over my lips.” We need that Prayer! Everybody needs it. Psalm 141:3. (Keep speaking) the right things all the time. Church Gist. James 3:5. That’s the tongue! So we need prayer to keep our tongues in check so as not to destroy the works of our hands. Proverbs 18:21. Luke 21:15. Keep saying what God says, He will come to confirm it no matter what. As you keep doing what He says to do, you have the right to keep saying what He says. Please note. Matthew 12:34. The only way to speak well is to have this Good Word stored in your heart. Colossians 3:16. Matthew 12:34. The more Word-empty a believer is, the more vulgar his language becomes. Just check any man who is not in Church – First Sunday, Second Sunday, Third Sunday, Fourth Sunday, his language becomes street language. He didn’t plan it oo but that’s what it has become. There is no stocking of the Word inside him and you can’t bring out what is not inside you. Garbage in, garbage out! Treasure in, treasure out! No shortcut!
Without the Word of God dwelling richly in your heart, you can’t speak good things. You make the tree good and its fruit will be good. The more committed we are to the Word, the more covenant proven our words become. Church Gist. You’re not struggling for it. Thank You, Jesus.
– Nothing will block your access to God’s blessings again!
Psalm 19:14. We need that Prayer on a daily basis to keep moving from one realm of glory to another. Thank You, Jesus.
3. Financial fortunes answer to the works of our hands.
This has been taught before, but it’s important to mention here that one major platform for returns on our Covenant practice is the works of our hands. Psalm 1:3. Job 1:8-10. Ecclesiastes 5:9. Everybody has a profitable portion on the Earth, everybody. Do you wonder why our Covenant fathers never felt the heat of famine in their times? They enjoyed access to divine ideas through Covenant practice and so, Abraham raised the first Cattle Ranch business in history. Church Gist. Isaac got involved in the first Irrigation Farming System and Jacob was a specialist in Creative Cattle business, raising the Cattle of the colour of his choice. That’s why they were employing labour in the heat of famine. They know what others didn’t and they did what others don’t know exist. We saw from the story of Isaac that they came across this divine ideas through meditation. Genesis 24:63. Divine ideas flow largely through meditation. It also flows through inspiration, through teachings.
There’s that business in the US, I read about it many years ago, he attends a Baptist Church. From the teaching of the Pastor, he raised a business that employed 180,000 people, 180,000. So, divine ideas flow through both meditation and inspiration as engendered by the Holy Spirit and the Ministry of Teaching Priests. Can I hear your Amen? One of my sons in Liberia read the Book, Wisdom Diary, the third slot of it, ‘Living without working is dying without knowing.’ He said, what? Church Gist. So he had 100 Liberian Dollars, he bought brush and polish and became a shoe shiner. He built a Computer Center subsequently. He was busy looking for jobs, then light came. Can I hear your Amen? He built a storey building in Liberia, then that was something. God enlarged his coast from that seemingly ordinary thing because the profit of the Earth is for all, even the King is served by the field. Ecclesiastes 5:9.
In the old Church, I came back from Ghana one time and I began to teach, ‘There’s no food for an idle man’ I saw that inscription on a Lorry in the Hotel where I was staying and I said if I’m going to Nigeria by road, this is the Lorry I will board, because it will be speaking to me till I get there. A man had just left National State Council, an Accountant and looking for job all over town. He heard that I said, ‘Some of you are riding a job and you’re looking for a job. Church Gist. You have a car going nowhere. Go to the Airport now, don’t park inside, you don’t need any card. Say I’m going to V.I, V.I, V.I (Victoria Island)’ They entered. He returned that day with 3,000 Naira. The Wife said “from where?” He said “from yesterday’s message” From what? He built a duplex behind the Old Church. He was exporting food to European Nations. It all began from that point. Inspiration. Too many lazy people in the Church. You know, some Pastors say they are full time Pastors, they are full time lazy. I told my sons working with me, I said, “People think that Ministry is preaching. They have lost 90 percent of it. Preaching is 10 percent. The work that builds the preaching is the work.” Amen.
– Somebody’s story is changing.
It’s time to come awake. There was this person that was doing smoked fish and built a factory and built a house. Smoked fish in Britain, you think they don’t like it? They like it. When the idea comes from God, everybody will like it. “I want smoked fish, smoked fish, smoked fish” Everybody buying smoked fish. But here are people, they will sit down. Young people listening to me, you’ll sit down from morning till night, you’ll say you are looking for job. Church Gist. In your mother’s house, you eat morning, eat afternoon, eat night. They say fast, you say “No, I have ulcer” (Laughter) Amen. There is something for everyone to do. 2 Thessalonians 3:10. And God, He provides for us our daily bread by showing us what to do to keep going. Some are occupied, but they’re not occupied enough, so fill up the remaining balance of time, fill it up, fill up the balance of time. Proverbs 22:29. There is no place for an idle man in the Kingdom. Ecclesiastes 10:18. Proverbs 12:24; 20:4; 13:4.
A young man here at Covenant was hawking bread to pay his way through school. He has graduated now. Amen. Another one in Church here was hawking bread in Molue to earn his first degree at UNILAG (University of Lagos). Church Gist. There is no dirty business. Every business that will engender legitimate earning is a dignified business. Can I hear your Amen?
– Somebody’s story is changing!
Please, know that slothfulness is a curse. Free yourself from it. John 9:4, Proverbs 20:4.
– In the name of Jesus, I decree access to inspired ideas that will launch into next levels of financial fortune!
Before you find what you want, whatever your hand findeth to do where you are now, do it with all your might. Ecclesiastes 9:10.
As we round up this morning, beware of the enemies of financial fortune. The little little foxes, they spoil the vine. Songs of Solomon 2:15.
1. Beware of money worship. You cannot serve God and mammon. Church Gist. Exodus 32:31. Beware of money worship.
2. Beware of waste. Proverbs 18:9…beware of waste – that means they share a common heritage. The slothful will end up in lack, the wasteful will end up in lack. Church Gist. We heard the story of the prodigal Son, he wasted his substance on riotous living and after that, he began to be in want. Luke 15:13-15.
Jesus said, “gather the remnant that nothing be lost. Gather them.” John 6:12. God hates waste. Every waster today is sure to end up a beggar tomorrow. Be delivered from it!
3. Beware of covetousness. Achan said, “I saw this goodly Babylonish dress and some wedge of gold, I coveted it and brought it to my tent.” His entire lineage was destroyed. Church Gist. Joshua 7:19-26. Beware of covetousness. Luke 12:15. Beware of covetousness.
Godliness with contentment is great gain. Covetousness is an enemy of financial fortune. It can turn you to misfortune overnight. Gehazi pursued after Naaman and took something from him and came along with leprosy. Church Gist. Beware of covetousness. 1 Timothy 6:6-10. The end is always bitter for the covetous.
4. Nonchalant attitude to Kingdom promotion opportunities or even scorning it. “They are playing games. They are playing with your intelligence. It doesn’t matter.” ‘You will need matters tomorrow.’ Malachi 4:1-2…you will be growing up and going forward while they are burning down. Keep off from everyone that has no place for God in their hearts. Keep off from them!
December 1982 down to January 1st 1983, I prayed, “God disconnect me from everyone going backward, (It was Psalm 1:1-3 that drove me to the mountain of prayer) connect me with only those that are going forward” and helped me. Church Gist. I don’t play around those who don’t have a place for God in their hearts and it shows. Caution! Kingdom promotion opportunities are for our advantage. It’s to secure your flow in God’s financial fortune plan. Don’t toy with it.
5. Beware of financial impropriety including fraud and scam. Beware! It’s an enemy of financial fortune. The curse of the Lord is in the house of the thief. No matter what you give, it will be a mirage. Church Gist. Beware! Beware of financial impropriety including fraud, scam, stealing – it’s an enemy of financial fortune. It brings a curse instead of a blessing. That’s not your portion in the name of Jesus!
Today is our Covenant Day of Settlement and please pick these arrows of Scriptures.
1. You are due for settlement today. Proverbs 3:27-28. Is it in God’s power to settle you today? Church Gist. Does God have your settlement with Him today? Sir, He won’t ask you to come tomorrow.
– You are getting it today!
– Your settlement will be settled today!
– Your marital destiny will be settled today!
– Your fruitful destiny will be settled today!
– Your health will be settled today!
– Your marital life will be settled today!
– Your children will be settled today in the name of Jesus!
Now, if anyone is asked, “what time he wants his grown up son or daughter settled in marriage, career or business, the answer will be what?” Now! Church Gist. If any parent be asked, “when he wants his or child to be healed, the answer will be obvious?” Now!
Therefore, by redemption, no child of God is permitted to suffer beyond a while or a moment before he is settled. 1 Peter 5:10.
– Your settlement is today!
1 Peter 5:10. What is a while? 2 Corinthians 4:17. (I told you, arrows of Scriptures.) A moment. So we must recognize therefore that any affliction, any setback of long continuance is a curse, but Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. Deuteronomy 28:59. It is part of the curses of the law. Galatians 3:14-15 says Christ has already redeemed us so nothing is permitted to be of long continuance in your life.
– That marital delay is settled today. I decree great calm to those marital crises.
– Your health is settled supernaturally, today.
But we must take responsibility to secure the settlement we desire. Luke 6:46.
What Are The Covenant Responsibilities?
1. Be born again
The prince of peace comes to reside in you and that entitles you to the peace of God that passes all understanding. Revelation 3:20. When you are saved, among the character of the new born Spirit is peace. Galatians 5:22. The work of righteousness shall be peace. Isaiah 32:17. Church Gist. At new birth, we are made the righteousness of God in Christ and the effect shall be peace, quietness and assurance forever. You must be born again to experience God’s settlement agenda in your life.
2. Be committed to building your faith
They that believe do enter into rest. So, it takes your faith in God’s agenda of rest to have it. Church Gist. Hebrews 4:9-12. 2 Peter 1:2.
3. Demand for your settlement in prayers.
Whatever you call forth to be settled shall be settled.
– Whatever you demand for today will be delivered to you.
Lord, settle my marital destiny. He will do it. Lord, settle my family life He will do it. Settle my health today. He will do it. Settle the health of my children today. He will do it. Settle the health of my spouse today. He will do it. Settle me in my business today. He will do it. Settle me in my career today. He will do it.
When I cry, then shall my enemies turn back, this I know for God is for me. Psalm 56:9. Church Gist. Today is your day. He said you have not because you ask not. I am returning with my own settlement package today.
4. Enter into a covenant to serve God and the interest of His Kingdom.
You will be ushered into the realm of round about rest. A realm of no war. He takes over your fight and you are watching your victory on the screen. Chronicles 15:12-15 Church Gist. Thank you Jesus. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things that people are dying to get, they shall be added to you.
5. Engage a lifestyle of praise.
It is one of the mysteries of our enjoyable settlement. Isaiah 54:1-4. That is God’s prescription for changing our story. So when praise becomes a lifestyle, your story keeps changing. From one realm of glory to another. Thank you Jesus.
– It is your turn for breakthrough.
How many believe today is their day.? Your day of settlement. That jobless era is over, that begging era is over. The era of struggling for survival is over. The era of marital delay is over. Church Gist. Every enchantment and divination against your life is rendered null and void today in the Name of Jesus.
You have come to the God of all grace, the God of settlement in all areas. So, every unsettled area of anyone’s life is declared settled today. That rising storm in your life, I decree peace be still. Church Gist. Jesus did that and there was a great calm. Now, I welcome you to your era of great calm. Your settlement is delivered finally.
Now, place your right hand on your forehead. I decree the settlement of your health. I decree the rescue of your mind from captivity. I decree a guard over your mouth and a watch over your lips. Now, receive access to inspired ideas. Church Gist. Receive access to divine ideas. You will never be stranded again. For us by redemption, when one door closes, seven others open to replace them. Now, I decree your eyes open to see the diverse opportunities around you.
This woman left her child to die and God opened her eyes. She saw a well of water by her side. Genesis 21:19. And that was a new beginning. I decree your eyes to be open to see the diverse opportunities around your life and take advantage of them for legitimate living. You shall not be caught up in a fraud. You shall not be a victim of financial impropriety. You shall be an asset wherever you work. Your business shall be pure business in the Name of Jesus. Lift up your two hands and give God thanks.
