There are days and there are certain days. Certain days are memorable days. May today be a certain day in your life. I think it is the first time in the history of this Church where we have to revert back to the Covenant Day schedule as the teaching of the day and I must tell you what informs it. Inheritance has no value to an imprisoned person. You give him a car, they don’t drive cars in the prison. Church Gist. You give him a house, he doesn’t need it in prison. Nothing of value has any meaning to a prisoner.
- That is why today the foundation of every one’s prison shall be shaken.
- The doors shall be flung open. Every one’s bonds shall be loosed.
- Every closed destiny shall open up and the name of the Lord shall be glorified.
Imprisonment connotes a shutdown of everything.
- In the name of Jesus, every shutdown area of everyone’s life shall open up today.
John 1:12.
It is important for you to receive the Word and believe the Word, so you can be empowered to manifest its content. It is not the Word you hear that changes you, it is the Word you receive. Church Gist. You receive and believe, then you are empowered to become.
- Every trace of curses, spells and enchantments will lose their grip finally in your life.
The Bible is the answer book of life no matter the question. This book has the answer to all human questions. Our lack of access is behind all the struggles that we go through. You shall know the truth (His Word is the truth) and it shall make you free (John 8:32). Church Gist. His Word is the answer book of life no matter the question. It contains all the words of this life no matter what areas of concern one may have. Acts 5:20. It is important for me to lay this foundation as we go on because you will be wondering, are you sure this book is the thing?
So what is in the Word that makes it the answer book of life? Power! The power of God resides in His Word. Church Gist. He sent forth His Word and it healed them and delivered them out of all their destruction (Psalm 107:20). Luke 5:17. The power of God for triumphant living resides in the Word.
- Your days of defeat are over today.
What is in the Word that makes it the answer book of life? The light of life that engenders supernatural breakthrough is in the Word. John 1:4-5. Isaiah 60:1. Church Gist. When light comes, things change. You go from glory to glory.
- In the precious name of Jesus, your days of being on the same spot are over in your life.
Very important.
What is in the Word? The wisdom of God that offers direction and secures our establishment is in the Word. His wisdom is profitable to direct and His Word makes wise. Church Gist. We secure direction and experience establishment. Isaiah 33:6.
What is in the Word? The sword of the Spirit for conquest. Jesus said “It is written… it is written…” and Satan left Him. Luke 4:1-13. What is in the Word? The life of God that delivers from death. John 6:63, 67-68. Church Gist. There is a Word of eternal life that swallows up death in victory. John 5:24-26. There is life in the Word. The power to consume and swallow up death in victory.
- The siege of untimely death is over.
UNVEILING THE MYSTERY OF FINANCIAL FORTUNE IN THE KINGDOM. Today, we are looking at Breaking Generational Curses. Again, as we all know, when one is imprisoned, no inheritance can have expression in his life. Every prisoner must escape today. Church Gist. Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises, the prisoners heard them and immediately the foundation of the prison was shaken and all the doors were opened. Everyone’s bonds were loosened. God stepped in and blasted the prison gates (Acts 16:25-30). Today, the same God is stepping into your affairs and my affairs.
Curses are real but unfortunately many do not know but they are struggling with curses. Proverbs 26:2. Curses are real unfortunately many do not know that they are struggling with it. Church Gist. In Zechariah 1:17-20, we have this graphic picture that has to do with financial fortune. So it is not that they are not working but nothing is showing. All the forces behind the scene scattering your destiny in any form shall be put back in place today. They shall be sent packing today!
So, there are messengers sent to deal with the horns of the gentiles and set free the ones they’re holding captive. Church Gist. By the grace of election, I’m privileged to be one of them.
-Today, everyone in our Churches worldwide under this Apostolic unction is coming free from every assault of hell on their destiny.
There are families where nobody’s head is lifted, where nothing seems to work from generation to generation, where they’re living in the same old grand grand father’s house, going to school didn’t make a difference, graduating in flying colours didn’t make a difference. Church Gist. There are horns of the gentiles behind the scene that are scattering such destinies.
-Today is your day of rescue!
Isaiah 42:22-25. We are here to uncover the hiding place of the wicked so you can escape for your life.
-It’s your day.
Isaiah 42:25.
-Wherever anyone may have missed and opened the door to the enemy, today is your day of recovery!
For instance, Israel was under the curse of misfortune in Egypt for 400 years until they cried unto God. Church Gist. You don’t wait for things to change, you find out what to do to effect the changes you desire. If they didn’t cry, they’d be there. They were there 30 years extra. If they didn’t move, nothing would move.
-Today is your day!
Psalm 56:9. Anything happening around your life that is contrary to the truth of your redemptive heritage, it’s your turn to confront it and conquer it.
-Poverty is not your portion.
2 Corinthians 8:9. When He rose from the dead, He gave us gifts which include power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessings. Church Gist. Revelations 5:12. There’s no poverty there.
-So, every curse of lack and want, every curse of penury, begging and living under financial pressure is broken today!
As they cried, God brought them out from the land of bondage into a land that was flowing with milk and honey. Church Gist. He brought them out till He brought them into the Promised Land.
-You’re coming out today!
Know that curses are generational in nature with a lifespan of 3-4 generations which implies 300-400 years, if left unattended to. Genesis 15:13-16. Exodus 12:40.
-In the precious name of Jesus, today is your day of marching out!
Exodus 12:36. Your days of emptiness are over!
-Today will mark the end of your slavery and bondage! Your servitude in Egypt is over today!
Among these curses include the curse of serving another god. Exodus 20:3-5. Sir, we find out that this bowing to other gods has been a cultural plague within our culture in this part of the world and God’s Word has no respect for persons. Church Gist. The curse will keep ravaging until it’s consciously dealt with.
-Today, every such generational curse that emanates from worshipping other gods in anyone’s lineage is declared broken!
-No one here will leave a plague for their children!
Therefore, every cycle of evil in anyone’s life or lineage is an indication of a curse. Church Gist. This includes addiction, business and career frustration, marital spells, hereditary diseases, disabilities, infertility, financial misfortune, depression, name it.
-Every such cycle of evil ends today in your life!
When one is saved and abides in the faith, he or she is delivered from the curse of the law. Galatians 3:13-14. But it takes faith to deal with those curses as they raise their ugly head. 1 John 5:4. Church Gist. “I’m not under this curse anymore. Satan get your hands off my affairs!”, that’s faith. Fighting the good fight of faith. But, while salvation delivers us from curses, serving God and the interest of His Kingdom is what sustains us under the blessing and keeps the curses away. Exodus 23:25. And blessing is the number one cure for curses. Church Gist. When God blesses, curses cannot survive and serving God procures us His blessings that clears curses off our paths. Exodus 23:25-26. Job 36:11. Matthew 6:33.
Now, let’s examine some Biblical sources of curses that we must beware of. There are seven of them we are dealing with here.
- The curse of disobedience
Deuteronomy 28:15-18. Deuteronomy 5:32-33. Psalm 112:1. A genuine delight in walking in the Light of the Word is key to being set free from the plague of curses. Church Gist. The curse of disobedience, beware of it! Behind disobedience is a spirit! “The spirit which now worketh in the children of disobedience.”
-Today, by the anointing, that Spirit will be checked out of any life. Every reason against the truth is machinated by an evil spirit and in the name of Jesus, every knee must bow. Therefore, I command every foul spirit of disobedience to check out of every life here!
Malachi 3:6. People are still arguing today: “What is God going to use tithe for?” He doesn’t need the tithe but it’s an ordinance that ushers you into a world of blessing. The devil is a thief, he has come to steal to kill and to destroy so he sets you against every ordinance that is about your liberty so you can be held bound. Church Gist. Sir, you may never come across any believer sir, any, anywhere in the World who is not a tither and walks in financial fortune; except this Book is not true. Malachi 3:10. Please don’t let the Spirit of Disobedience get a hold of your life, it can hold you bound for life!
-May today be your day of encounter.
Please note, God does not need your tithe, it is from what He gave you that you’re tithing. It’s according to His blessings upon your life that you are tithing so He can’t be looking at what He gave you. Church Gist. No! But no matter how smart you are, you may be the brightest preacher in the World, if you’re not a tither you’re having fun; you will be under financial tension. You don’t have to! And what’s at work? The Spirit of Disobedience. “That’s what He said but I don’t believe that! Particularly this time, things are tight.”
-Somebody is changing level!
Sir, since 1982 till date, I have never asked God: “Please, bless me financially.” Church Gist. There are things you will never ask to pray for in your life, you obey into them. Deuteronomy 28:2. Not that you are struggling: “Oh! God!”
- The fear of the unknown
It was the undoing of Job. “The things I greatly feared is come upon me.” The fear of the unknown. Proverbs 29:25. Church Gist. Fear is a spirit. 2 Timothy 1:7. It was behind all the woes that Job had to suffer. Job 3:24-25.
-Today, I cast out the torment of every spirit of fear in the life of everyone in this Service. Be free in the name of Jesus!
The Bible calls that Spirit, the Spirit of Bondage. Romans 8:15. It holds people bound, it imprisons people! No man can be held bound by what he does not fear. Church Gist. Fear is the bait of the wicked to torment his victims. Fear torments. 1 John 4:18. That must be why “Fear not! Be not afraid” appears 365 times in Scriptures. It’s just like a pill per day. Walk out every day saying: “Fear! No room here!”
-May any assault anyone has suffered through the Spirit of Fear become over today!
- Pride of heart
Some can look so humble on the outside, arrogant on the inside. The Man, Uzziah was so blessed by God and marvelously helped by God. 2 Chronicles 26:5-14. Pride of heart is a major source of curse. Church Gist. Infact, most rise and fall in the Body of Christ is traceable to the Spirit of Pride at work. 1 Chronicles 21:1. Spirit of Pride! Joab said: “No! It’s against the law of the Lord.” 1 Chronicles 21:4-7. 70,000 people died! I think that was the time that David’s head began to fail. What you call self esteem most of the time is pride in disguise. Pride! Complete pride! And it shows by going down, you are just going down and down, before you know you are out!
Many women can’t keep a house, pride! Satan said “Look, too much, I won’t let you enjoy this life. How can that man be telling you what to do, no. You’re a Woman Liberation.” Some men can’t keep home oh. They can’t keep a home, brawling lions, all pride. Church Gist. They wouldn’t know it’s satan. Satan stood against David and provoked him. I was bitterly provoked during those 7 years of media assault. Silence is a powerful weapon. Silence with goodwill is a powerful weapon.
- Somebody’s story is changing.
From 1 Chronicles 21, it’s clear that pride is a spirit. You better get free from it. Pride is a spirit. Satan is behind it. That was what brought him down from Heaven. Some can’t be in WSF (Winners Satellite Fellowship) oh, they’re too much, they can’t be there. “No, no, no. I mean, those market women are there and I’ll be there? Church Gist. I’m MD of a bank. Ṣé on rí? (Can you see?) Are my colleagues under the bridge? Is that where they are?” Pride, pride! Proverbs 16:18. Caution! That man said, he couldn’t speak to anybody oh, Nebuchadnezzar killed himself, “See this great kingdom which I’ve built” He was alone. His heart was lifted up, he saw the writing, maybe it was in the evening. My God! Emi lon je be (I am the one that is called that.) He walked into the forest 7 years, sabbatical. 7 solid years, his fingers were like this, walking four footed. What a punishment. You ask children in school to do like this (bend) for 5 minutes they say (grumble). This Man did that for 7 years as an adult, for pride. Church Gist. The Word is going forth, you say, “You can’t be telling me that, I know what I’m doing.” You don’t know what you’re doing. The suffering you’re going through now means you don’t know what you’re doing. If I ask, “do you want to suffer?” You’ll say no. “This I why you’re suffering” You’ll say, “I don’t believe” “Okay, carry on”
- Somebody’s story is changing.
A man spoke and they clapped, “The voice of a god and not of a man” An Angel came down and smote him.
- You won’t go down
- You will not go down!
Looking down on others is pride. Come out of it. Looking down on others is pride. You are free from it in the name of Jesus. Church Gist. The Lord was just showing me to see the spirit behind those forces, so we can deal with them. Amen.
- The next vital source of curses is misuse of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21. Ecclesiastes 5:6. So, misuse of the tongue can destroy the works of our hands without any witch or wizard pursuing after us. James 3:5,6. The tongue. Things have not been working for many because they keep saying things don’t work here. They look at their business, “This business can’t fly in Nigeria again.” Numbers 14:28. That’s how dangerous misuse of the tongue can be. Numbers 14:29. Church Gist. You said so, so have it so. It’s what we say that we eventually see. Beware of the misuse of the tongue. But out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. So, let the Word of God richly dwell in your heart. You’ll be speaking it naturally. You’re not struggling. It’s flowing out of…it’s the reservoir. It goes that whatever you store into the reservoir flows down into the house. So, store the Word inside, it will be coming out of you naturally.
- May every damage that anyone may have caused his life through the misuse of the tongue be restored today.
Proverbs 13:3. Psalm 141:3. I pray that prayer for everyone, that nothing destructive comes from your tongues again. You believe that, let me hear your loudest Amen. Church Gist. Be careful what you say to your children, what you say today is what you see tomorrow. “You’re a dummy” That’s what you have been saying, that’s what you are looking for.
- The curse of serving other gods. Psalm 16:4. Any other thing you bow to worship, other than the Most High God, multiplies sorrow, including the god of gold. Exodus 32:31. So, flee idolatry. It’s a vital source of curses.
- Parental dishonor. Ephesians 6:1,2. Parental dishonor can be most costly. We saw the story of Noah and his 3 sons and how his last son saw his nakedness and went and told his brethren and a curse was invoked. Church Gist. “A servant of servants shall he be to his brethren” and he repeated that severally. Genesis 9:9-21,26,27. Beware of parental dishonor. Many have to genuinely repent today so as to recover from any curse that many have emanated from that, that it may be well with you. Proverbs 20:20. Matthew 15:1-6. Church Gist. So, it is Heaven’s tradition to respect and honour our father and our mother, so vital. In this freelance age, please note, there is a blessing waiting for you there. Thank you, Jesus and thank you, Jesus!
- Diabolical curses: We saw Goliath cursed David by his gods. 1 Samuel 17:42-43…and David gave it back to him in the name of the Lord and David had what he said. Church Gist. Please note, the cheapest way out is, come under His blessing and diabolical curses shall have no effect. Come under God’s blessing! Numbers 23:8,23.
- Nobody will see the mark of the wicked on your life again!
You can’t be under the blessings of the Lord and be under the curse of the wicked. The two of them cannot coexist like light and darkness. Church Gist. So, just sustain yourself under His blessings through delightsome obedience to His instructions as your new lifestyle, that is walking in the light of Scriptures. It will dispel every work of darkness around your life.
Light never fears darkness. So, walking in the light establishes your dominion over the works of darkness. Church Gist. So, diabolical curses cannot have effect on your life while you are walking in the light of God’s Word.
- Somebody is free!
No matter how hard you cry, darkness won’t give way without light. We can pray and fast for light but without light, darkness is still in charge. John 1:5. Let’s stop the abuse of prayer and fasting. Church Gist. You can’t force and twist God’s hand against His Word. John 12:35…walk in that light and free yourself. John 1:5. So it is important to know that diabolical forces will be cheaply dismantled walking in the light.
There is no one that tithes in faith and with delight and suffers financial assault. No! Don’t think that the devil likes me. The devil hates me more than the way he hates you. Church Gist. I’m tormenting him everyday. But why is he so powerless? Darkness is ever powerless before light.
- In the name of Jesus, your days of struggling with issues within your reach, they are over!
Now, from the above, it’s clear that most curses are self-inflicted yet they are influenced by forces of the enemy but it’s as we give room. Church Gist. He said, “give no place to the devil.” Shut the door against the devil by keeping yourself in the love of God.
While these curses are self-inflicted yet, satan is at work behind the scene to move the redeemed against the Word of God through his subtlety. He has never repented. The most subtle of all the animals that the Lord God created. 2 Corinthians 11:3…“no, that’s too simple to be true. That can’t be true.” Church Gist. Through his tricks (Ephesians 6:11), through his devices (2 Corinthians 2:11) and through his diverse deceptions (Revelation 21:9). But whosoever keeps himself, the wicked one touches him not.
- It’s your turn!
I’m not obeying God for God’s sake, I’m obeying God for my sake. I’m not honouring my parents for my parents’ sake, I’m honouring my parents for my Church Gist. When this dawn on you, obedience becomes delightsome.
- In the precious name of Jesus, every avenue of self-inflicted curses closes down in your life today in the precious name of Jesus!
Remember, nature abhors vacuum. When the Spirit of God departs from a man, evil spirit will take over. Church Gist. 1 Samuel 16:14-17, Matthew 12:43-45. Please, check the devil out of your place. He said, “give no place to the devil.”
- Today marks the end of satanic access to your affairs!
As we close, the following are some covenant curse breakers in Scriptures.
- Obedience of faith. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6, Ephesians 6:16. Obedience of faith! Church Gist. Obedience that believes in what God says to do and what will be the outcome of doing it. Obedience of faith!
- Tithing. “What if they believe not? He abides faithful. He cannot deny Himself.” What you believe is your cup of tea; what you don’t believe is your cup of coffee. Church Gist. You make your choice. Deuteronomy 30:19…so it’s a choice to make. Tithing is a major covenant curse breaker for financial misfortune.
- Giving to the needy. Proverbs 28:27. Giving to the poor sets free from curses. Psalm 41:1-3…what a blessing! Church Gist. So giving to the needy blesses us much more than it does the needy. Get excited about it and stay committed to it. Those who are living to bless others never run out of blessings. 1 Timothy 6:17-19.
- Altar of sacrifice. You are prompted by the Lord to rear an altar of sacrifice against any known plague that must cease. A plague came down on the Land of Israel and the Lord told the prophet to tell David to rear an altar of sacrifice that will stay the plague. He said, “I will not render unto God of that which cost me nothing.” So it’s not the volume that makes a sacrifice but the cost. Moses reared that altar and the Lord commanded the angel that destroyed the land, “it is enough, stay now your hand. It’s enough, stay now your hand.”
Now that goes to corroborate what happened in Genesis 8 after the flood. Noah took off every clean beast and they entered into that place two-two. So, it was a sacrifice. The altar of sacrifice averts curses. Genesis 8:20-22. It averts curses. Thank you Jesus. 2 Samuel 24:24-25. Church Gist. The altar of sacrifice averts curses. And Psalm 50:5.
- Goodwill to all men because to curse anyone blessed of God or one who may have been a blessing to us can be costly. Hear what God said, I will bless them that bless thee and him that curse you, I will curse. Genesis 12:3. Please save your head, don’t get angry with your neighbor that God is blessing. Don’t be part of gathering against him or her. Church Gist. If it is the Lord blessing him, don’t look for God’s curse. No one can break the curse of God.
Let your goodwill be extended to everyone blessed of God. Stop reading negative meaning to the blessings. That’s not your concern, that is not your business. Or anyone who may have done you so good in life. For he that rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house. There are many people under this self inflicted curse, they don’t know. Church Gist. Goodwill is the cure to avert such things in your life.
Apply the Word to yourself, don’t think of who it applies to. People are so bothered that they won’t remove the log in their eyes, they are looking for the moth in other people’s eyes. I will bless them that bless thee and he that curses you, I will curse. That is a dangerous statement. Church Gist. Now whether they are in church or out of church, it doesn’t matter. Whether they are preachers or not, it doesn’t matter. I will bless them that bless thee and curse them that curses thee.
- Everything against God’s agenda of fortune in your life comes down finally today.
Can I hear your loudest Amen. It’s over!
Proverbs 17:13. The answer to this is goodwill at all times, goodwill as a lifestyle. Jesus came with goodwill to all men. As the Father has sent me, so has He sent you, so goodwill to all men is our mandate. Church Gist. In 1 Peter 3:13. He said, and who is he that will hurt you. If ye be followers of that which is good. Who is he that will hurt you. Goodwill is an asset.
- May you go home with that asset today and you will continue to see good all the days of your life.
In this anointing service today, we shall all experience destruction of all curses. It shall come to pass in that day that the burden shall be lifted from off your shoulder. Church Gist. The burden of deception, the burden of tricks of the enemy, his devices, Isaiah 10:27. It is your day. Also, expect to enjoy restoration of your lost glory. Whatever the enemy has taken away from you by this anointing, you are getting it back.
Joel 2:23-26. Every shame that any curse may have brought your way till now shall be wiped away. Joel 2:27 Now, former rain and latter rain is talking about the Holy Spirit, talking about the anointing. The anointing carries restoration power. Church Gist.
- By this anointing today, the things you have been longing for all your life shall be destroyed today. Everything you have been robbed off by the devil shall be recovered.
Finally, expect the anointing today to be a mark of exemption, from any further satanic assault on your life. It won’t provoke you to pride. It won’t torment you with the Spirit of disobedience. You won’t be tormented with the Spirit of fear. By this anointing, every satanic assault comes to an end in your life and so shall it be. Thank you Jesus.
Please note, no force on Earth, underneath the Earth or from above can make the covenant of financial fortune of no effect. Church Gist. While the ark remains, that Covenant remains intact. The cheapest way to deal with every demon of financial misfortune is to walk in the covenant. Commit to walking in the Covenant. Church Gist. Even if everybody in your village is a witch, it won’t matter.
If all that is in the world is against you, it doesn’t matter. Commit to walking in the covenant. It is unbreakable. Jeremiah 33:20. As long as night and day are in place, that Covenant is intact. Nothing to fear Sir. Church Gist. I will rebuke the devourer for your sake, I will silence them. That is what they said. So let’s stop glorifying the devil about anything. Just work in the covenant and you are in command.
