It is always an assembly of joyful people, triumphant people, ever winning people here. This is a family that never loses. Your days of losses are over. Because like begets like, we belong to an ever winning Commission. Church Gist. 44 years of no setback, from today your life is going forward. 44 years of favour, today marks the end of every air of misfortune around your life. 44 years of divine supplies, no begging, no borrowing, no overdraft from any bank, today marks the end of your financial struggles.
Some are where God is but they don’t know. Jacob said “God is in this place and I knew it not”. You better know that at the centre of the happenings in this place is Jesus, not a team of people. Behind all the happenings here, get me out of the way I am not responsible. My Father which dwelleth in me doeth the works. This is nothing but God at work. Anything marvellous in any believer’s life is the doing of the Lord. Church Gist. Anything marvellous about any ministry is the doing of the Lord. So we owe Him thanks. People who think we are using expertise are wasting time. We are creating room for God to work and He is doing His work. We thank God for all the wonders of the last 44 years.
UNLOCKING THE SUPERNATURAL 4
The supernatural is our birthright in redemption. Isaiah 8:18. They were no children of God in the Old Testament, it is prophetic. John 3:8. Every child of God is redeemed a wonder to his world. The supernatural is our birthright in redemption. Among God’s supernatural agenda in redemption is the fact that we are redeemed for unending progress. Proverbs 4:18. Church Gist. Setback is not your heritage, downtrend is not your portion. From now, it shall be for you and your household, forward ever and backward never. 2 Corinthians 3:18. Redemption entitles us to continuous progress. In the name of Jesus, your life will not suffer a reverse again.
He said to me back in 1981 while I was in His presence, “I have not designed life for ups and downs but for ups and ups” and He was speaking to me from Proverbs 4:18. Church Gist. He said to me “I mean the justified (Those who have been justified by the blood of Jesus) are ordained to be as a shining light that shines more and more until Christ returns (the perfect day). So stagnation is not your portion and you are out of it today.
We are also ordained for exploits in redemption. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law which includes the curse of mediocrity. Galatians 3:13-14. What did God say to Abraham? Genesis 12:1-3. So we are redeemed to be a blessing to our world, not a burden. Redeemed to be a blessing not to your family alone, a blessing to your world. Church Gist. You are not redeemed a burden, you are not redeemed a prayer project. Genesis 12:3. “In thee shall all of the families be blessed.” That is generational impact, that is exploits. From nothing, Abraham emerged an emperor with an army to himself that could take on the army of another nation and crush them.
That is your lineage in redemption. Therefore come out of your shells. There is much more inside you than you can ever imagine. Mathew 11:11. All of the Old Testament saints are below us in potential. Church Gist. Please allow your eyes to be opened. You are ordained for exploits, outstanding success, out of this world kind of success. Therefore your days of struggling for survival, your days of struggling at the bottom are over. Genesis 22:16-18. Galatians 3:28-29. We are redeemed to be a blessing to the families of the world. Church Gist.
- Every ceiling you have placed on your destiny, I command them lifted right now.
Galatians 3:29. Whatever God said concerning Abraham’s seed, He said to you, you’re Abraham’s seed.
We’re redeemed as priests and kings to reign on the earth. We’re redeemed for Dominion on the earth. Church Gist. We’re redeemed to command dominion in our various areas of engagement. All these provisions are only deliverable by the operation of the supernatural. But one way to keep flowing in the supernatural is by celebrating God, the root of our supernatural birthright, as was the habit of Paul. You find Paul saying, “I thank God through Jesus. I give thanks all the time. We’re about to give thanks”. Church Gist. He was a thanksgiving addict. He was addicted to a lifestyle of praise. Let me allow you access to some of these Scriptures, you just put them down. Romans 1:8. Romans 7:25. 1 Corinthians 1:4. 1 Corinthians 14:18. Ephesians 5:4,20. Colossians 1:12. And we saw how Paul operated in the supernatural naturally. He was a strange man, sir. Acts 14:11. Acts 14:19-20. He was a strange man. Acts 19:11. Church Gist. Paul was an addicted thanksgiver, a man given to a life of praise, God was working wonders through his life. Acts 19:14-15. In Acts 28:1-6, the people changed their mind, “he’s a god”. He was bitten by a venomous viper and he was supposed to be swollen and fall down and die. He walked for a long while, he was still standing, “ah, no, this is not a man, he’s a god”. Acts 28:1-6.
The secrets of men are in their stories. The more addicted we are to a life of thanksgiving and praise, the greater command of the supernatural we gain. Church Gist. If you just know how much damage you’re doing to your life through incessant complaints and murmuring, you’ll be afraid. How much defeat you have incurred through murmuring and complaints. Can I tell you something? You may secure compassion from man through complaints, not from God. You complicate your matter with God when you complain. Nehemiah 11:1. 1 Corinthians 10:10. Church Gist. People don’t know how much damage they cause themselves by doing some careless things according to tradition of men. “When I complain, when I look funny, they may look well on me”, God will turn His back. He said, “cheer up first. You want my help? Cheer up!”
- Somebody is free this morning.
A friend of mine and I were coming in from the old Church down here, he said to me when we arrived, he said, “can I tell you something?” I said, “what?” He said, “You have said ‘thank you Jesus, Bless you Lord’ 72 times between old Church and new”. Church Gist. It has become an addiction. Celebrating Jesus as an addiction puts you in command of the supernatural. 44 years have come and gone, I’ve not seen one thing God did wrong in my life. I must have done Him a lot of wrong but has God did me some wrong? I’ve not seen one, “that God see how you did me”, no. Church Gist. But everyday, you’re always counting things against God. Okay, take Him to court.
During the construction, one of the trusses fell from here, fell on the other day and three of them came down and they called me on phone, “I said, hey, is everything okay? I hope nobody is hurt? Tidy up that place. What is it to you?” It ended there, God still completed His work. Stop complaining my friend! The secrets of men are in their stories. Church Gist. Behind the supernatural exploits of Paul is his addiction to thanksgiving and praise. Hebrews 13:15. 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Ephesians 5:20. So, we only know that for all things, in everything, we don’t know it.
God told me at a time years ago, He said, “if you have anything, I’m the reason why you have not lost everything. If you don’t give me thanks for what remains, you’ll lose it again”. Church Gist. If you have lost anything, God is the reason why you have not lost everything. So, what do you do? Give Him thanks to preserve what remains. You have lost a job, you have not lost your life. You have lost a business, have you lost your life? Okay, between your business and your life, which one? Ordinary riffraffs, you call them armed robbers, they say, “your life or your money?” What do you do? “Carry my money”. Church Gist. That’s how valuable your life is to you and God gave you that for free, supernatural life for free and you’re blocking the flow? Sir, if you don’t give God thanks this year, you won’t see anything next year. No. Amen? You say, “why are we doing thanksgiving?” You relax, you’ll know why we’re doing this.
When this building was completed, I told our Pastors, If anybody went round and said we built it, God will kill him. We don’t have the capacity. But if we give Him thanks from the depth of our hearts, that’s not the last one He’d do. Church Gist. See what He’s doing around the world today. You see, you’re at the same spot because you won’t give thanks for where Grace has brought you so you’re there all the time. Enter your room, you complain, enter your car, you complain, is it not God’s fault to give you a house? “See this house now, I should be in a smart house”, go to a dull one. Church Gist. All kinds of junks, people just tie themselves down without knowing. Sir, many have held themselves captive, not the devil.
- Now, I curse the root of complaints and murmuring that blocks your access to the flow of the supernatural in the name of Jesus! Be free from it in the name of Jesus!
Now, we saw the example of Jesus in this regard. Thanksgiving as a lifestyle is a trigger of the supernatural as illustrated by Christ. John 6:6. A little boy here has a little lunch pack and they said, “what is that to feed this multitude”. Church Gist. He said “bring it now. Haba, bring it. Father, I thank you” and the bread multiplied supernaturally. John 6:6-11. Lazarus had been dead and in the grave for four days, “Father, I thank you for you hear me always. Lazarus, come forth” and he that was dead came forth. John 11:40-44.
Luke 10:21. You see thanksgiving oozing from the realm of the Spirit. Jesus rejoiced in spirit, not just talking things to impress the people in the environment. He rejoiced in spirit. “I thank Thee oh Father, Lord of Heaven and earth. Church Gist. I thank Thee oh Father, Lord of Heavens and earth.” And Jesus was a walking miracle. His name is called: ‘a sign’. “The Lord shall give you ‘a sign’.” “What manner of man is this?” He was given to thanksgiving and praise as an addiction.
-May that become your portion from now in the name of Jesus!
God does fearful things in praise. Exodus 15:11. Psalms 22:3. If you want to secure God’s presence, be ever thankful. Be ever praiseful. There is no level of invitation that will get a fish from the ocean to attend the Faith Tabernacle, no! He can’t arrive here before he will die. The only environment that can secure divine presence is praise. Church Gist. Just like fish requires water, so God requires praise to indwell the life of a person, in the midst of a people. Praise! When praise dries up God’s presence is withdrawn and man is back with his struggles. When praise dries up in the life of a man, God’s presence is withdrawn from the man and let’s see how far he can go? “For without Me ye can do nothing.”
I wish you have the video of when we dedicated the Fred K.C Price Hall, a building that was done in two weeks. We danced as celebrating a global cathedral not inside the Building, we danced round the Building. It’s not praise inside, it’s praise outside first. You first sweat outside before you come inside. God was watching! And now, we have sanctuaries around the World. If you don’t want to stink, start being thankful. When you stop giving glory to God, you are bound to start stinking. Church Gist. Don’t let His glory depart. Jeremiah 13:15-16. So it is important to respond. Somebody says: “What is giving thanks every month?” Why are you breathing every month? Since you breathed last month; you can rest this Month. No! I slept and I woke because He sustains me. So for one whole month, He sustained you night and day. You are bouncing about like a football
You say: “Why are we giving thanks to God?”
- May He not turn His back on any of us! May God not turn His back on any of us! May God not turn His back on you!
So we don’t prevail by strength, we prevail by engaging Bible sense. Bible sense is the secret behind the triumph of the believer; operating according to the dictates of Scriptures to secure your future. Church Gist. Not by intellectual strength, not by physical strength but by Bible sense. “My ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. You better do what I say if you want a change of story.” Thank You Jesus!
- Your days of struggles are over.
Somebody said: “Everybody is struggling!” It is a lie! Not everybody is struggling! Come out of your struggles! Does everybody have headache? Come on! Church Gist. Does everybody have headache? Everybody have stomach ache? Stop pacifying yourself when you are challenged! Come out of it!
-You are coming out of it today! Your dry season is ending.
Praise triggers supernatural interventions. 2 Chronicles 20:22.
-He is taking over your battles today.
2 Chronicles 20:22-24. They didn’t shoot an arrow yet they won the battle.
-God is taking over your battle today!
Paul and Silas were locked up in the prison to be brought out to the slaughter the following morning. Acts 26:25-26. And that was it, their shame was converted to honour. Church Gist. God took over their battle. And the jailers said: “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They have become ‘Sirs’ just now!
-Everything buffeting you, must bow to you this year! As God takes over your battle, your tormentors will bow. Thank You Jesus!
Furthermore, it’s discovered from Scriptures that praise is a vital requirement for fresh oil which enhances our level of command of the supernatural. When the Holy Ghost came afresh on them in Acts 4:33 with great power, they have moved from power to great power. Fresh oil has come upon what they received in Acts 2 and greater manifestations follow. Church Gist. Then in Acts 5, we saw Peter’s shadows healing the sick, setting free the oppressed. John 4:12. It takes praise to step into the realm of fresh oil. Psalm 92:1.10. Straight line connection. Psalm 92:10. And what will result? Access to fresh oil that will silence your enemies and will make you to flourish like a palm tree.
-You will still bring forth fruits in old age. You shall be fat and flourishing to show that the Lord is upright.
Now, thanksgivers don’t run out of fresh oil. Praise addicts always enjoy fresh oil. Thanksgivers don’t know the meaning of burnout. Thanksgivers are ever burning. Why? They are ever in His presence. They are ever burning.
-No one’s head here will lack fresh oil.
Now, let me tell you what fresh oil is. Psalm 89:20-23. That’s when fresh oil is speaking. Don’t play around any fresh oil carrier. Don’t wash your mouth on any fresh oil carrier, God said He will plague that individual. You better save your head since you don’t know whether the oil on that man is fresh or not. Church Gist. Save your head and keep your mouth and keep your mind and think right, think good things. “I’ve found David my Servant, David the Praiser, David the Thanksgiver, with my holy oil have I anointed him. The enemy shall not exact upon him anymore, nor the son of wickedness afflict him. I will beat down his foes before his face and plague all them that hate him.” That’s the security of fresh oil and fresh oil comes through a life of thanksgiving and fresh oil is your security against the wickedness of the wicked. That’s why God said “I will give men for thee and people for thy ransom. Those who won’t let you go, I will crush them. Those who are after your hurt, I will heap them. Those who hate you, I will plague them.” That’s what fresh oil does Sir. Praise God. That’s what fresh oil does. There are people, you don’t try to hate them, you hate them, you hurt your life. Church Gist. You attack them, you are crushed.
- That’s where you are coming into!
- The blessing of today will make you a touch-not entity! Thank you, Jesus.
- You are going places!
So, if you look at the divine presence dimension, you look at the fresh oil dimension, everything should go for praise, everything.
Today is our Showers of Blessing Service and I want you to know, God means what He says and He says what He means. Your God is not a joker. Church Gist. He means what He says and He says what He means. It is blessings that follow obedience and that’s why He has called today our Showers of Blessing Service.
- The kind of blessing you have never read about or heard about in your life will take place in your life.
He said, “Prove me now” You have proved Him with your obedience in your hot chase after souls. You can relax, God’s side is always secure.
-Therefore, in the name of Jesus, the kind of blessing you have never heard with your ears nor seen with your eyes will take place in your life.
Ezekiel 34:24-26. That’s what He gathered you here for. Showers of blessing is reserved for you!
Now, quickly. But who is God committed to bless?
- God is committed to bless the Redeemed. Acts 3:26. So everytime we turn away from our iniquities, we become candidates for His blessings. Every child of God is redeemed to be blessed and be a blessing and that is simple to know from what we said earlier on. Church Gist. Every child of God is a seed of Abraham. “I will bless thee and thou shall be a blessing and in they seed shall all the families of the Earth be blessed.” So, it’s up. Abrahamic Covenant is our entitlement to His blessings in redemption. So, if you are born again, you are a candidate for His blessings.
- For everyone today as a child of God in this Service, it’s your turn and for those who give their lives to Christ this morning, it’s also your turn.
- Those who obey His commandments with delight. Psalm 112:1-10. Every blessing of God comes down with security. Every blessing of God is divinely insured. Psalm 122:10. So, they are all envy provoking kind of blessing. When we delight in His commandment, we run into envy provoking order of blessings. Can I hear your Amen? Who will God bless? Those who choose to obey His commandment with delight. With delight, not coercion, not “As a member, what can I do? I have to do what they said we should do. I mean, as a Pastor in this Church, if I say I’m not going out now they’ll say I’m not zealous.” It was in my own room that I wrote the vow, 1976, nobody was there. Church Gist. With delight, I sold off to Jesus and without stress, by His grace, I’m standing out in life, delight! I was in that room when I signed up Deuteronomy 8:18 as my discovery for my recovery. Nobody else was there in that room when I saw it. Delight! Come on, say delight. They don’t have to pump you, pump you, don’t do it. They pump you too much, don’t do it. Choose to do it. Okay, I was running around 1976, I was still running around yesterday, yesterday Saturday and I’m the Preacher today. You better relax. Church Gist. My delight in obeying His commandment is one vital secret behind my small life. You better tune in, (I don’t know which one is right, tune up or tune in. Laughter) Okay, so it’s all left to you. All these things you are doing by force, by force won’t work nothing, won’t bring you anything. 1977, the Lord showed me Deuteronomy 28:47,48. So, it’s counter productive.
- May you choose to be delighted in keeping His commandment.
- May it be personal and heart rooted.
- May it become your way of life for life. Let me hear your loudest Amen!
There is no backing of man under Heaven that would compare with the backing of God, there is none. Deuteronomy 28:1,2. The Lord said to me, “My son, there’s a place for you on top if your are interested” 1984, 41 years ago. I said Lord, I’m interested. Church Gist. “Then whatever I tell you to do, do it” So, you have a place on top Sir. We have been redeemed as a city on a hill that cannot be hid, but it takes delightsome obedience to keep changing levels to the topmost top that God has marked out for you. You will get there!
- Those who are committed to serving Him and the interest of His Kingdom. Exodus 23:25. It’s a deal. “You shall serve, I shall bless. You serve, leave me to bless. You can’t bless yourself. You serve me, I will bless you” and what kind of blessing? “I will bless your bread and your water” You won’t beg for what to eat. Church Gist. You won’t beg for what to drink. “And I will take sickness away from the midst of you” What? What a blessing for free. “You shall not be barren nor cast your young in the land” Ehn? No IVF (In Vitro Fertilization)? What? “And the number of your days, no matter how many witches are in your village, I am committed to fulfill. The number of your days I will fulfill.”
- I said, the number of your days, He will fulfill!
Some people run away from the Country because of witches. They have transferred their fight to the other country where they went. Church Gist. So the witches there just welcome them “welcome, you are tired of being beaten there, we are here to beat you again.” So you find them running from pillar to post, no escape. Thank you Jesus!
- It’s your turn!
When our obedience is fulfilled, He will silence all disobedience. When your obedience is fulfilled, every of your adversaries will bow. Everyone of them will bow because darkness must bow before light. Church Gist. When you are walking in the light of God’s Word, darkness can’t stop your way. Thank you Jesus!
- It’s your turn!
Serving God entitles us to His blessings. Job 36:11, Matthew 6:33.
- That’s where you are coming!
- That’s your new status!
- You will begin to experience supernatural additions!
- Things you will be wondering, “I didn’t ask for this”, He will add it to you!
- Things you couldn’t imagine by now, “He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all you are able to ask or think,” by serving Him, you are just in another world!
- Tithers and those committed to giving to the needy. This was read earlier on, “Malachi 3:10-11.” God is committed to bless tithers and those who are committed to giving to the needy. Proverbs 28:27. Giving to the needy exempts you from lack and want. Church Gist. Who will God bless? Those who are committed to tithing God’s blessings on their lives and giving to the needy around them as they are able.
Among the blessings of giving to the needy, we have it in Psalm 41:1-3. Can money deliver people in time of trouble? Church Gist. So when you are helping the needy, you are securing your destiny.
- He won’t watch sickness destroy you!
So start from where you are. Living to self makes a slave. It’s living for others to live that keeps you refreshed. Get committed to it. There is a little child in that your Cell that he’s not in school and how much is that school? Age 5, just primary school and it’s more than within your reach to help, you just pray over him and walk away. Church Gist. That’s not life. People who put smiles on the face of others don’t lack smiles. People only lack what they keep, they don’t lack what they give. So, tune in please!
You are a seed of Abraham, you are redeemed to be a blessing to the world around and start from where you are. Genesis 13:14. We started giving scholarships in my family since 1992 and you know what level we were (in) 1992. Church Gist. But that’s where our heart was and it’s growing in tempo and it’s increasing in tempo and God is blessing as He said He would.
- I see new generation Abrahams arising that will be out for the rescue of others!
Genesis 18:20-32…Abraham won’t let go, he doesn’t know them. Amen! No! Now, they arrested his brother or he became a prisoner of war, the One who rose against him; Abraham pursued his enemy to rescue him. Church Gist. That was Abraham, your father. That’s Abraham, your Father.
One of my old time fellows sent me one quote from Pope Francis yesterday. It’s very interesting. He said, “trees don’t eat their own fruits, they give it to others.” Amen! Amazing things! Church Gist. So it is how much we give out that defines our worth in life. Please, be part of that.
Look at the Kingdom Care thing going on, what stops every member of this Church that is in a position to, to take one needy each and say, “Lord, thank you for the privilege to be part of this man’s life, this family’s life” and start watching over them? That’s how you live. Church Gist. “The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive because He needs more of such people in the World.”
- No one will die young here! Thank you Jesus!
As we round up this morning;
- Those who engage in heartfelt thanksgiving and praise as a lifestyle. Church Gist. Psalm 67:5-7…fearful blessings provoked through heartfelt thanksgiving and praise as a lifestyle.
- Fearful blessing is coming upon your life today and shall be retained for life!
- Those who follow His leadings. Those who are committed to following His leadings. Isaiah 48:21. Following His leading always provokes His blessings. Psalm 23:1,5-6. His leadings may appear challenging but that’s what makes champions. Church Gist. Exodus 13:17…“I’m taking them through a long route by the Red Sea so that I can shut down on their enemies.” It may not look funny but it holds a future. God’s leading holds a future
Please note that your anointed place is your appointed place of blessings. Your God appointed place is your appointed place of blessings. He said to Abraham, go to that place, I will blamess thee and make thy name great and thou shall be a blessing. God directed him to his appointed place. He said to Isaac, don’t go down to Egypt, abide in the land I will tell you to and watch what I do with your life. And the man went forward, he waxed strong and became very great and the Philistines envied him. Genesis 26:1-2, 12-14.
Our appointed place is not our choice, but his choice. 2 Samuel 7:10. Our impact is in our God appointed place. God was manifesting himself strongly with Peter and among the Jews and with Paul among the Gentiles. Please, allow him to lead you. Your destiny is tied to His appointed place for you in life. Allow Him to lead you. Church Gist. For instance, God has appointed a place of worship for every believer. You find in Deuteronomy 12:13-14, that God has a place for us. That you don’t find it does not mean he dies not have it. God has a purpose for every man but that you don’t find it does not mean He doesn’t. You have not bothered to find out.
- May you not miss your step in life.

I remember a family came down from Atlanta and had been waiting on the Lord for the fruit of the womb for long and I was on my way to the airport. “Sir I am just here for a touch”. I said, “What is the matter?” We have done 3 or 4 IVFs. I said, “In Jesus Name, it is over. I am on my way to the airport, bye bye.” That was it. They were with me sometime back with 3 children.
