The supernatural answers to the Word, not to our feelings, not to our emotions. Exodus 4:17. Jesus is that rod that came out of the stem of Jesse (Isaiah 11:1). Thou shall take this rod in your hand and then you are in command of signs. Church Gist. Please listen very earnestly. Collecting prayers all over town will not help you. Becoming a prayer project in your team will not help you. Do you want to see signs? Take this rod in thy hand.
The supernatural is your spiritual DNA. It is not something you are looking for and struggling to get. I got free from tuberculosis as a new born child of God. “Jesus, if it is true that you did all you did in Mark, Luke and John, do it now.” He said Yes, I hear. I wasn’t filled with the Holy Ghost yet. It is your spiritual DNA. It is locked up in you, you are to unlock it. Church Gist. The thing is in you. You don’t become a human being because you are getting older, you are a human being from the day you are born. You are developing capacity, that’s okay but you are a human being already. You are not walking on four feet and they say that’s okay, stand straight. You are a human being already. So is everyone that is born of the Spirit, new birth.
That which is born of flesh is flesh, that which is born of spirit is spirit. That is new birth. At new birth, you carry a spiritual DNA of the supernatural inside you. You are not ordained and created to live an ordinary life. In the name of Jesus, this shall be a month of open doors for you. It shall be a month of spiritual open doors for you.
Please listen, it is the Word you have heard, you have seen and you have handled that puts you in command. You hear it, you see it, you can hold it in your hand and then you are in command.
As the Word goes forth today, healings shall be taking place. I was teaching back then in 1982 and a man who had this haemorrhage was already slated for a procedure. As the Word was going forth, he said something touched him. He went to the bathroom, for the first time in six years, no blood. Church Gist. No blood and no blood forever. God’s Word carries healing virtues. May the Word today bring healing to the sick, deliverance to the oppressed, breakthrough to the stagnated in the name of Jesus.
While declaring the month open, I heard this word from heaven which I documented and that becomes what you must look out for as we proceed in the month.
Entering Into The Month Of April 2025
Engaging with a Word from the Lord or the truth of scriptures is the breeding ground for the supernatural. Not just encounter, engaging. You shall take this Word in your hand wherewith you shall do signs. When we engage with what God says, we provoke the release of the supernatural. Fill the water pots with water. Fill! They did and it turned to wine without struggles. Obedience to the full. Obedience to the full. Go dip yourself seven times in Jordan. Church Gist. Nothing happened the first time, second time… fourth time… sixth time but the seventh time as obedience was full, his flesh became as that of a little child. Leprosy gone forever. 2 Kings 5:10. Go to the Pool called Siloam, not go and look for water from Siloam. Go to Siloam directly. He never saw, had no sight but he got there. How? Ask him. He washed and came back seeing. Obedience to the full. This is why obedience of faith is the mystery behind operating in the supernatural. Not confession of faith, obedience of faith.
For instance, when we are on His mission we enjoy supernatural breakthroughs naturally. We have left all things to follow you, what shall we have then? He said expect 10,000 per cent returns on all forms of investment. 10,000 per cent returns on energy invested, 10,000 per cent returns on time invested. Church Gist. There are some who are 40 years and they have generated impact of 100 years. Returns on time investment. Returns on financial investment. 10,000 per cent. Mark 3:14. Mark 10:28-30. Hundredfold means 100 × 100. Amazing returns.
Any truth of scriptures you are not committed to prove will never generate proofs in your life. Church Gist. You prove the truth of scriptures by your obedience of faith. It is the truth we choose to prove that generates proofs in our life.
Faith is a function of our full obedience. Until the cloud is full, the rain will not fall. When our obedience is full, we silence all disobedience no matter how many they are. Church Gist. 2 Corinthians 10:4-6. Ecclesiastes 11:3. Many are coming under heavy rainfall this time by your full obedience of faith.
I had 94 of our converts for the week in church last Sunday. Full obedience of faith is what counts with God.
Our teaching series for this great month in our Sunday Services is captioned UNLOCKING THE SUPERNATURAL. This suggests or points to the fact that it is on the inside waiting to be unlocked. It is stored inside you and me waiting to be unlocked.
The supernatural is simply the manifestation of the Word we receive, believe and obey which God confirms into signs and wonders. Church Gist. There is no games here. John 1:12. Mark 16:20. But the knowledge of who we are is what determines what we can dare. We need to know what redemption has made of us. That will position is to dare situations as they may arise. Question is, “who am I in Christ? What has Christ made out of this ordinary person like me?” John 3:5-6. Church Gist. That Word interprets the word, being born again. Man’s spirit died when Adam sinned and man got disconnected from God. But Adam was still walking on his feet, he still had some mind, he knew how to cover his nakedness. But something died in him, his spirit man went down, he lost connectivity with God. Church Gist. So, to be born again means a rebirth of that spirit man that died in Adam. It’s not mechanical. It’s not by joining a Church. It’s by connecting with Jesus through genuine repentance and then your spirit man bounces back to life. So you’re no more a human being as it were but a spirit being in a human figure. Acts 14:11. Church Gist. So, new birth is a rebirth of our dead spirit, bringing it back to life and connecting it back to God. That makes Believers peculiar among men. 1 Peter 2:9. We’re to be marvelled at by the world around us. Church Gist. Remember the Prophetic Focus for the month, “I’m redeemed as a wonder to my world”.
- I’m not only redeemed as a sheep of His flock, I’m redeemed also as a lion to prevail in the battles of life. Revelation 5:5. Church Gist. John 20:21, that’s Jesus. So, we’re redeemed as lions to prevail in the battles of life.
- I’m redeemed to operate in the realm of unlimited possibilities. John 14:12. Redeemed to operate in the realm of unlimited possibilities for there’s no impossibility with God. Mark 10:27. Philippians 4:13.
- We’re growing, we’d get there!
The question then, what is in the Word that makes it supernatural? This is very important because it’ll help us to place higher value on this Book called the Bible. Church Gist. What is in the Word that makes it supernatural?
From Scriptures, we understand that God’s Word is pregnant with wonders. Psalm 119:18. Isaiah 7:14. Matthew 1:23. When you’re born again, God comes to dwell in your heart. Revelation 3:20. So, you’re carrying a sign on your inside. Isaiah 9:6. Church Gist. So, that sign in Isaiah 7 is full of wonders and it dwells in you. So, God’s Word is full of wonders and gets mighty things done. Mighty God, everlasting Father, mighty things done.
What’s in the Word that makes it so supernatural? While every other thing is made up of letters, the Bible is made up of the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:6. Isaiah 34:16. Church Gist. So the Spirit of God broods over His Word. 2 Timothy 3:16. So, we encounter the spirit of life from this Book.
What’s in the Word that makes it so supernatural? The Word is creative as we saw in Genesis 1 – “and God said and God saw”. Malachi 3:6. 2 Peter 1:20. Church Gist. Everything here is as God said and whatever God says, He creates when we believe.
- expect every damaged organ in your body to be recreated!
The Word is also prophetic. Matthew 24:35. Isaiah 55:11
God’s Word is Prophetic. Church Gist. So when your faith comes alive on any Prophetic Scripture you have committed God’s integrity to confirm it.
-Somebody’s story is changing.
We are told it is the more sure word of prophecy. 2 Peter 1:19-21. What is in the Word that makes it supernatural? The Word is the Light that shatters the works of darkness and engender supernatural breakthroughs. Church Gist. John 1:5-9. It shatters the works of darkness because it’s a known fact that no degree of darkness can challenge the authority of light. The dominion of light over darkness is instant and unquestionable. When God’s Word lightens a man, the owners of darkness clears off his way.
-You are walking free.
Isaiah 60:3. Isaiah 60:15-22. So there is so much power here to cause the giant in anyone to rise.
-Something is breaking forth in your life this time. Isaiah 60:8. Church Gist. He is changing your story supernaturally.
We also understand that the Word of God sanctifies. The struggle to please God comes to an end when you encounter the Word that cleanses because it sustains your faith in that Word. It comes to an end. John 17:17. Ephesians 5:26. Psalm 119:9-11. There is cleansing power, sanctification power in the Word of God. Church Gist. The Word is also the incorruptible seed, when it’s sown into your good and honest heart, the harvest is sure. Genesis 8:22. Luke 8:11. Now the parable is this: the Seed is the Word of God, that is the original seed. Every seed of the Word you receive in your good and honest heart is bound to bring forth harvest. It’s a matter of time. It’s bound to bring forth harvest. It’s a matter of time. 1 Peter 1:23.
Next, the Word makes wise and not just wise talk but the wisdom that enthrones. Psalm 19:7-8. 2 Timothy 3:15. Not just wise talk but the wisdom that enthrones like we saw in Joseph. It’s the wisdom that enthrones, it’s domicile in the Word. Church Gist. The Bible is God’s wisdom in print. When we connect with what He says to do and we commit to doing them, it enthrones. Genesis 41:38-44. Proverbs 8:15-16. The wisdom of Scriptures enthrones.
Very important, listen to this: the Word is the sword of the Spirit that never returns defeated from battle. We saw Jesus engage that sword on the Mountain of Temptation: “It is written!” Wow! Church Gist. Matthew 4.4. satan came back. “Now, it is written! Wow!” Number 3, “it is written!” He vanished. Ephesians 6:17. It never returns defeated from battle. Colossians 3:16. It never returns defeated from battle. It is the ever winning sword of the Spirit.
-Somebody is free today. You are that one, let me hear your loudest Amen!
As we round up, healing power is domiciled in the Word. Psalm 107:20. Job 33:21-25. Church Gist. God’s Word is our ransom from the dungeon of sickness and disease. Full restoration by the Word.
-In the precious name of Jesus, somebody is here listening to me, I command the quickening of your mortal body.
-Jesus was teaching in Luke 5:17 and the power of God was present to heal them. Church Gist. There is power going forth right now, I therefore command your instant healing in the name of Jesus.
-John 6:63. There is quickening power in the Word. I therefore decree, every damaged part of anyone’s life under the sound of my voice today, be restored! Be restored in the precious name of Jesus.
Finally, the Word is our most reliable GPS (Global Positioning System) in the journey of life. It has the details of our life embedded in that system. It shows us where to go now and shows us what is to come. Church Gist. Psalm 119:105. When the Lord and the Word is your Shepherd, you shall not want. Goodness and mercy only shall be following you when the Word is your guide, when you are guided by the Word. All these are treasures loaded in the Word. Church Gist. May they start answering in your life and my life more than ever before. Isaiah 48:21. A gushing in the midst of the desert as you allow God to lead you and lead your steps.
- Somebody’s story has just changed.
So, signs and wonders are simply raw confirmations of the Word for those who believes. It is to everyone, everyone’s allocation from this Book (Bible) is according to his faith. But note, not just the Word, but the right Word. Job 6:25. Church Gist. There are issues around someone’s life, you are hunting for the right Word to deal with it, you are asking the help of the Holy Ghost to help you, the right Word. 2 Timothy 2:15. Right Word. The Holy Spirit is our access to the right Word. John 16:12-14. Interestingly, He does not only reveal the right Word to us, He also reminds us whenever required. Church Gist. John 16:13. What a plus. He does not only teach us, He brings to our remembrance those things whenever we are challenged.
We were on that narrow bridge 1984, some 41 years back, there was no way that bridge can take 2 vehicles. But here we were face to face with a truck on the other side of the bridge, we had already entered around 1:20 am in the morning. Church Gist. Suddenly there was a strike, “He will give His Angels charge over me when I’m on a narrow bridge, they will bear me up lest I smite my feet against a rock.” Psalm 91:11-12. Right there, right there, split of a second, instead of fear, “He will give His Angels charge over me, they will bear me up upon their wings when I’m caught up on a narrow bridge, lest I dash my foot, (not my head, my foot is so important to God) against the stones.” Church Gist. Right Word coming from your bank of studies. You can’t be reminded of what you have not learnt. That’s the plus we have above the World around us. He teaches us and brings to our remembrance those things whenever we are challenged.
- Thank you Jesus. Somebody’s story has just changed.
Please, settle with the Word. Proverbs 24:10. Build Word strength into your spirit against the day of battle. Build Word strength. The spirit of death came to try me out after a seminar on victory over death and the room was turning, but my heart was solid. Church Gist. Then a Word came from inside, “What are you doing here?” He said “I don’t know too” Jumped up. There’s something in there, I wasn’t guessing, I found what I was teaching.
- Somebody’s story has changed in the name of Jesus. No one here dies prematurely. Every one here enjoys a good age old. No one lives a sickly life here. You’ll be hale and hearty all the days of your life. The same applies to members of your family in the name of Jesus. Church Gist. Anyone with challenged children or spouse under the sound of my voice today who are challenged in their health, I command their instant healing in the name of Jesus. So shall it be. This (the Bible) is the control room of signs and wonders. Exodus 4:17. You’ll never be stranded again!
Today is our Covenant Day Of All Round Rest.
First, we must recognize that all round rest is the will of God for the Redeemed. John 14:27. The peace of God is our heritage in redemption. Like we understand, the fruit of the Spirit includes joy, peace. Peace accompanies our redemption. Church Gist. But the Word we don’t receive and believe, we are not entitled to experience. Some fellow say “All round rest? I don’t think that’s possible, I don’t think so. All round rest? Everything, working, how?”
What we don’t believe, we are not entitled to experience. What you don’t expect, never comes to be. “Let God be true and all men liars.” “There remaineth a rest to the people of God” but they couldn’t enter because of unbelief. Church Gist. Don’t be part of that majority that don’t believe in all-round rest so they have all-round troubles. Don’t be part of that.
10 of the 12 spies didn’t believe that the promised land is a reality. They did not believe. They formed the majority but they all lost out. Majority never wins the vote with God. It’s your vote that determines your victory. Your own vote! Church Gist. All-round rest is a reality. My friend, your Church has experienced all-round rest. “But what of all the attacks?” Relax! Did the attack have any effect? No! All-round rest – no apprehensions, no anxieties, no we don’t know what will happen. All-round rest – no sleepless nights on the part of leaders. All-round rest – not come and let’s settle this conflict once, 44 years running coming May. All-round rest is a possibility. There is nothing God says that is fake. You better believe in all-round rest. You better believe it.
I believed in the reality of hitch free marriage, we got it. It’s what you believe that you are empowered to become. I believed in a no borrowing verdict 44 years back – it’s a reality. Church Gist. There is nothing you and I will not believe that will never come to pass in our lives. Please, let your faith come alive. All-round rest is God’s agenda.
- It must speak in your life!
- Every area of unrest in your life must bow today!
- Every area of concern in your life must clear off the way today!
Hebrews 4:9-12…so we labour in the Word to enter into that rest. 2 Peter 1:2. The peace of God multiplies through the knowledge of the Word. Church Gist. Let’s labour in the Word to keep growing the peace of God in our lives beyond any form of shaking.
What Are The Keys To All-round Rest?
Remember, the Kingdom of God operates on keys. Matthew 16:19. Keys and these keys connote knowledge. Luke 11:52.
- Be born again. Because peace is one of the great gifts of redemption. No dead spirit can bring forth fruit like no dead seed ever grows. Until one is born again, he cannot have the fruit of the Spirit among which is peace. Be born again. Church Gist. 2 Chronicles 15:3-5. Until one comes to Jesus, he’s not a candidate for all-round rest.
- Be committed to learning the way to all-round rest. Isaiah 59:8. Let’s find out what it is that enhances our peace in redemption. Matthew 11:28-29.
- We must keep growing in our love for God as a lifestyle. Romans 8:28.
- May your love for God never go down!
- May your love for God keep growing!
- Settle down with God in the House of God. 2 Samuel 7:10. The Church is God’s City of refuge. He shields you and I from the assault of the wicked. Settle down with God in the House of God. Obadiah 1:17. Settle down with God in the House of God. Church Gist. Don’t be a passer-by, become resident. Stop looking at Church as a club. It’s your spiritual home, become resident. Let something ginger you when you are not in service. “What’s happening to me? What’s going on?” Psalm 132:13-16. Now, Zion is the Church of God in prophecy. Hebrews 12:22-24.
When you are in the boat with Jesus, your case is different. The storm that will swallow you must swallow Jesus along with you. So when you dwell in the House of God with God, your peace is guaranteed. “Master, don’t you care we’ll perish?” “Perish where? Peace be still!” There is a great calm. Don’t toil with the House of God. Don’t! God doesn’t need you and me for anything, we need Him for everything. Psalm 132:14-16. Church Gist. That is, triumph ever, triumph always. Triumph always, triumph ever. The winning side of any match is the shouting side. When you are dwelling on His side, you are on the winning side. Don’t ever play with the house of God. Thank you Jesus.
- Enter into a covenant to keep serving God and the interest of His Kingdom as your new lifestyle.
2 Chronicles 5:12-14. They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their ancestors, with all their heart and soul. All who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman. They took an oath to the Lord with loud acclamation, with shouting and with trumpets and horns. All Judah rejoiced about the oath because they had sworn it wholeheartedly. They sought God eagerly, and he was found by them. So the Lord gave them rest on every side.
Faith is never surprised at victory! Faith sets the pace for victory. Faith is never surprised at breakthrough. Faith always sees it before it comes and from the Word. Be awake. Church Gist. I entered into that Covenant with Matthew 6:33 and I entered into unexplained rest. Unfathomable rest. A never disappointing rest.
1976, next year will make it 50 years. Awesome God. Documented and signed. The original paper is in my house. People just get entertained in Church, thy won’t take steps. I know where I was when I entered that Covenant. I know where Grace has brought me to. I have never had a rethink. Church Gist. They entered into the realm of all-round rest and the Bible defined it as there was no more war. One covenant terminated the unrest.
In the precious Name of Jesus, may each one succeed to enter I to such Covenant today. Not to serve God, to keep serving God and the interest of His Kingdom as a lifestyle. I may appear a local man, but by grace, I have commanded a global reputation. Church Gist. You don’t need to run around. Settle with Jesus, He will settle you. I did.
I wasn’t going to ministry then. No, I wasn’t. I found it in the Word, I entered into covenant with it and there we are today. In the name of Jesus, no one will lose His crown in this place. Church Gist. Every believer has a crown, some will never take it, others will take it to add to their own. So some have 5 crown, some have 10 crowns and some are bare headed.
Of all the Covenant terms of all round rest, a covenant to keep serving God is principal. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things, all of them that others are dying to get, shall be added to you. Church Gist. It is your turn! No one will you pursue in your family to know God. Your children will know God more than you do. None of your children will break your heart. You are going places.
All round rest is a reality. I can’t have Jesus in my boat and be afraid of the storms. Jesus dwells in me and He dwells in you if you are saved. Church Gist. So He calms the storm by a simple command. Peace Be Still. Praise God
It is your turn. Some did not enter because of unbelief. Read the whole of that Chapter 4 of Hebrews, you find what unbelief can do to someone. The things you are not seeing today, you don’t believe it. Can anybody justake progress in Nigeria, no. Church Gist. That is why you are not making progress. Naira is down. When Naira was up, what did you have? People just waste their energy. Many years ago they said, there is no currency that loses value, just have enough.
In this great month of the supernatural, things must be turning in your favour. Where you are today is the function of the type of faith you are operating in. Church Gist. If you will change that level by engaging more with the Word of God, you will see changes.
Lift up your right hand to heaven and give God thanks. Can I have you say with me, I am pregnant with wonder. You know when the Word says I and the Children which God has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of Hosts who dwells in Mount Zion.
I release you today as a sign to your world. From now, I release you as an amazement to the world around you. From henceforth, the world around you will marvel at you. By redemption, you are a peculiar person. You are a royal priesthood, a holy nation. You are redeemed to show forth His praises on the earth. You are not to be pittmued or envied. Church Gist. Therefore, I release you as an envy to your world. From now, there shall be restored at work, rest in your business, rest at home, rest over your children, rest over your spouse, rest in your spiritual life. Rest in your health. Welcome to your realm of all round rest.
