Every turnaround in the life of a believer is stirred by encounter with the Word. Isaiah 60:1. Nothing changes without an encounter with the Word. Word Time is the greatest time in every service. He sent a Word to Jacob, it turned a nation out of him. Church Gist. Isaiah 9:8.Lord Jesus, we are all at your feet. All eyes are on you to receive from you. Let there be no one here without a takeaway. Let everyone have a treasure to take away. So shall it be in Jesus name.
Again, this month our prophetic focus is MY HELPER HAS COME. It will be evident by the end of this month that your helper has truly come. Church Gist. Every area of our lives where we appear helpless, the helper will come to our aid. No one will miss the ministry of the Helper this month.
We are looking at UNVEILING THE HIDDEN MINISTRIES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT Part 2. We had part 1 last Wednesday. We are having Part 2 today. The Holy Spirit is a multifaceted personality with diversities of operations and differences of administration all by the same Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:6-7. It is a multi-faceted personality. Church Gist. All of His operations and gifts are for our profiting. Everything about the Holy Spirit is to make us live a profitable life here on earth and make it to heaven. It is not just about speaking in tongues, it is about manifestation of values. Profitable living.
1 Corinthians 12:31. We have an open cheque. Make demands for any of His diversities of operations that you are interested in, that you truly crave for or desire. It will add profit to your life. Covet earnestly the best gifts. Make demands for it. The reason we are examining these diversities is for you to know which one makes the most in your life. They are all available, they are all attainable. Depending on where we stand in our walk with God. Church Gist. We are not empowered for show, we are empowered for service. We saw Jesus empower His disciples to serve His purpose. Matthew 10:1, 8. They are empowered to serve His purpose. Empowerment is not for sitting down, it is for serving Heaven’s purpose on the earth.
The husbandman shall be the first partaker of the fruits. When the healing virtue comes on you, it first benefits you and then flows to others. Jesus said you say physician heal thyself, look at me.The healing virtue was flowing through him but first blessing him and then flowing to others. Church Gist. Everyone set to go after His Father’s business is a candidate for empowerment. Everyone that is genuinely set to serve the purpose of heaven on the earth is a candidate for empowerment.
There was a man by name Simeon in Acts 8, he was a magician, a witchdoctor. He got saved and he saw how the Holy Ghost came upon people as Peter laid hands on them. Then he offered him money, “Give me some of this so that anyone I lay hands upon will be filled with the Holy Ghost.” Peter said his heart was not right. Acts 8:17-22. He was going to use it for his business where he came from. Church Gist. “Ah! This is power. Let me have it. That is our stock in trade. It is going to be a new wave.” His heart was not right so he had no part or lot in it. It takes a right heart to have a part of the Holy Ghost. It takes a right heart. He said you are in a bond of iniquity so you have no part or lot in it. It takes a right heart.
Remember no one puts new wine in an old wine skin or else the wineskin will burst and the wine will spill off. New wine must be put in new wine skill. Church Gist. Luke 5:37-39. We must clean up to access the diversities of His operations. For His various gifts and administrations, we must clean up.
Let’s examine three of the hidden ministries of the Holy Ghost.
- The Holy Ghost Is The Custodian Of God’s Plan And Purpose For Our Lives.
Life will be without direction without the Holy Ghost in our life. Guesswork hardly works. You can imagine going to an exam hall without nothing on the inside but going there to guess because it is Multiple Choice Questions. You will have multiple failure. You say ‘Okay, let me do it like this, AAAA, BBBB, CCCC to E. You will so fail that they will be looking for you. Guesswork hardly works. Church Gist. There are many guesswork Christians around the earth today. They are out of touch with the plan and purpose of God. They are going anywhere that seems right. Proverbs 14:12. There is a way that seems right unto a man, put it on the scale of human wisdom, it is all balanced but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 16:25.
It takes accessing God’s plan and purpose for one’s life through the person of the Holy Spirit to walk safely and walk triumphantly and walk majestically on the earth. Joel 2:26-28. He is the custodian of God’s plan for our lives. It is not about checking the internet to find out what is happening now but knowing what God’s plan for you is. Church Gist. Jeremiah 1:5, Galatians 1:15. The purpose of every product is determined by the factory, not the market. So get across to the manufacturer through the ministry of the Holy Ghost to know where you actually belong, not where you think you belong.
We had such favour years ago in Japan and I thought, oh! What an open door. Let’s get started. I really felt God was speaking to me and here is what God said to me, “Although there is a need in Japan, you are not the one I am sending. A need is not equal to a calling.” They need a hospital in your village, why didn’t you build one? He has not given you. A need is not equal to a calling. I was going far away to Japan and God has a plan for Africa for me. Church Gist. You travel forever before you get there. Now, behind my house here I can get to one country in Africa. That came two years after. People just jump cues. I wasn’t praying to go to Japan, we were there and God opened a door. There was great utterance, there was great miracles and I felt those were indications but He owns my life, He owns your life.
The Lord said to me years ago, “I am committed to leading you, if you are committed to following me.” That speaks volumes. So He doesn’t lead everybody, only those who are committed to following Him. Church Gist. Some will just say “Shut up. I am a man of myself, I know what I am doing.” There are many Christians like that today who are suffering all their life because they are men and women of themselves.
Without a vision, the people perish. The word ‘perish’ does not mean to die in that context. Church Gist. It means struggling for survival. It means being stripped naked.
Without locating God’s plan, your plan does not have the colour or the beauty that his plan has. John 16:12-14. He is the custodian. He receives God’s plan for us and shows it to us. He’s in charge and He speaks, he shows. John 16:13. – he shows you in pictures where applicable so as to know where God is leading. Church Gist. Now, that means therefore only the truly spiritual can access God’s plan and purpose for their life. Why? If you’re not in the spirit you cannot hear. Revelation 1:10. So it takes spiritual men. Now, if you’re not in the Spirit you can’t know. You’re not spiritual you can’t know. 1 Corinthians 2:14 – he’s speaking, he can’t hear, can’t know, so he can’t know where to go.
- May this month mark a turning point in everyone’s spiritual life!
The hallmark of the endtime army is vision with precision. Joel 2:1-8 – verses 7 and 8 precisely show what the mystery behind their exploits. Joel 2:11 – so as they walk in his ways they commit to keep executing what he commands them to do. He is the one doing it, they’re merely fronting for him. Church Gist. That’s the beauty of vision. The beauty of vision is: walking in it commits God to make it happen, to fulfill it, to perform it. The Holy Spirit is the custodian of God’s plan and purpose for our lives, the custodian of God’s vision for us, God’s agenda for our lives. We need a sweet fellowship with him to access it.
I was in a car coming in from Zaria to Kaduna when God said, “the harvest of Africa is now over ripe; rush in and preserve it from decadence.” I was in the bathroom when God said, “arise, get down to Lagos, raise me a people.” Sweet Jesus! Everybody has equal access; we just need to tune in on the required frequency. Church Gist. Galatians 5:25. God’s plans are greater than our plans. God’s plans are more fulfilling than our plans. God’s plans are ever guaranteed if you discover and walk in them. No one will miss his step any more!
1977 the Lord said to me, “my son, your future is not in your plan, your future is in my plan.” Jeremiah 29:11 (RSV) and the voice said to me, “my son, your future is not in your plan, your future is in my plan.” Church Gist. My idea and plans for anything came down to zero – “Lord, your plan. Just your plan. Whatever you call it, your plan.” So sweet! “What I say to you I say to all,” everybody’s future is in God’s plan. When you’re off God’s plan, you have to back up yourself. God will only back up his plan, not my plan, not your plan.
- The Holy Spirit empowers believers to operate in the supernatural which subdues our enemies under our feet: Joel 2:28-30. That is one core ministry of the Holy Spirit – The stirring of the supernatural. We saw that first in Jesus, he returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, things turned. Luke 4:14-18; Luke 4:28-30. A demoniac was crying, “shut up! – Jesus said.” “Have you come to destroy us?” Church Gist. The power to destroy the devil was there. Luke 4:34-36. He branched off in Peter’s mother in law’s house and she was down with fever, he rebuked the fever and immediately she stood up and started cooking. Luke 4:40. The supernatural usually accompanies the manifestation of the spirit of God – It (accompanies it) naturally. So he is the custodian of the supernatural – the Holy Spirit. You can’t operate in the supernatural without him. I can’t operate in the supernatural without him. So let’s stop the make up, let’s face realities.
Every time Jesus spoke about power to his disciples, it is accompanied with signs and wonders. Luke 9:1-2, 6. Power and authority always trigger the supernatural. The days of begging should be over in our lives! May our level of command of the supernatural go to the next level this time. We need the Holy Spirit for that to happen. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to operate in the supernatural which subdues our enemies under our feet. Church Gist. Luke 10:19. Power subdues the enemy. Psalm 66:3. The enemy will only surrender to power, the wicked will only surrender to power, power has to come on the stage for the wicked to surrender. The Holy Spirit is the power of God. Luke 4:14, 18 – “anointed” means empowered me.
One great evidence therefore of his indwelling presence is the manifestation of the supernatural in our lives and that’s our position in redemption. John 3:8. Church Gist. So we are redeemed as signs and wonders to our world and the Holy Spirit is the one that orchestrates these signs and wonders in our lives – so we need him. Today, he’s being put in the back seat. People speak in tongues for fancy.
- it’s a brand new day for us!
- The Holy Spirit empowers our steadfastness in stewardship which guarantees the fullness of our rewards: Luke 22:28. Continuity requires the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Acts 26:22. It takes the help of the helper to continue. Not all that saw Wonder Double 2015 are still in the faith today. Church Gist. It takes the help of the helper to continue. Some are not in the faith not that they are not in this Church – they are not in the faith any more. The fuel is finished. It takes the help of the helper to continue. Everybody needs help for continuity. Everybody needs the help of the Helper for continuity.
A friend of mine came in here 2016 and we were in our revival prayer time getting ready to go out. Church Gist. And when we closed, he said to me ‘I can’t believe you are still doing this thing.’ We were doing it together before but (his) fuel finished.
- Your fuel will not finish!
Because God’s full agenda will only speak at the end. So if you like, get up a quarter to the end, get up 2 minutes to the end, it doesn’t matter. If you don’t finish the line, you can’t get the prize. Church Gist. Prizes are won at the end of a race not in the beginning, not in the middle; not three quarter to the end. But we need His help. Everybody needs His help for continuity.
- May that help of the Holy Spirit that empowers for steadfastness and continuity in stewardship come upon each one of us today!
Now, Isaiah 42:1-4…I have put my Spirit within him, he’s my servant – he shall not fail in serving me till he accomplishes his mission on the Earth. Church Gist. He shall not fail nor be discouraged. So there is that Spirit that keeps you going in season and out of season. Can I hear your Amen?
- Now may each one of us receive that afresh right now!
- May we receive the freshness of that Spirit right now!
- May we receive the freshness of that Spirit right now that keeps you above fainting, failing or being discouraged on the way – may we all receive that afresh tonight!
1 Corinthians 15:58. At the end, it shall speak. So keep abounding, keep multiplying in it, keep filling the cloud. As soon as the cloud is full, the rain will fall. Keep filling the cloud. That’s what He does. He keeps you going in season and out of season. He shall not fail nor be discouraged till his mission on the Earth is accomplished. Church Gist. And Paul said, I have finished my course, now I can see a crown waiting for me – I have won the prize (that’s the meaning). I have finished my course, I’ve won the prize.
- May we all receive that unction that will make us finish strong! That will make you finish strong!
- Everyone of us needs it, may that come upon us tonight!
Can I tell you this? It’s a marathon. People are dropping as the race is on. People are dropping (I mean) I was in marathon race before, people drop on the way. You know, Red Cross vehicle is backing you up, ambulance is backing you. So as you drop, they put you inside. Church Gist. Praise God! People are dropping. But with that Anointing, you don’t fail, you don’t get discouraged, you don’t faint, you are on going.
- Receive it now in the name of Jesus!
Now, prove that you are back on the track, prove that you are back in the race during this ongoing operation. Prove that you are back in the race, don’t be casual about it. Prove that you are back in the race. Recover your first love. Get back on fire and keep going. Get back on fire. Past tense stewardship does not count with God. Church Gist. If a man has been doing good all his life and returned back to do that which is wrong, God will forget all the good he ever did. We must keep on going. We have no choice but to keep on going. We have no choice and the Holy Spirit is our Helper. He is our Helper. With Him at work, we keep going.
Holy Spirit, keep me going (Speak to Him now) in season and out of season; keep me on fire for God.

- Lord, rekindle the fire in everyone of us to engage beyond our wildest imagination!
- To finish strong like Paul, the Apostle!
- Let your help keep us on track!
- Let your help keep us burning in the name of Jesus!
- Lord, begin to unveil your plan and purpose to each one of us!
- Let no one miss his step in the journey of life!
- Now, I decree a new realm of the supernatural operating in the lives of everyone of us!
- Let it be Lord in the name of Jesus!
- Whatever disqualifies anyone for fresh oil, Lord, I decree the uprooting of such things!
- Lord, clear the debris off the path of everyone and show yourself strong in our lives in Jesus name!
Please note that soul winning is a Kingdom gold mine. God will reward anyone with anything that he does not even think he needs when he engages faithfully and fruitfully. Church Gist. There are some soul searching questions I will leave with you before we close in this Service.
If you truly believe that soul winning gets a believer into favour with God, would you respond or not? How many want favour from God? Nothing flies in the Kingdom like favour. Nothing! Church Gist. It can translate a prisoner to a prime minister overnight. Nothing flies like favour. So, if you truly believe that soul winning brings a believer into favour with God, would you respond or not?
If you believe that soul winning secures the health and vitality of a believer, would you rise up to the task or not? That medication has no side effects. Every faithful ambassador is entitled to healthy living. Church Gist. If you believe that there is a health insurance package in soul winning, would you get involved or not? The issue is, the blindfold of hell that won’t let people see what is hidden in God’s commandment.
- The truth is this, the last assault of sickness you suffered will be the last you will know in your life!
- This operation will bring an end to every concern on your health!
As you engage on the prayer altar, you engage in passionate soul winning, you engage in bringing souls to the Kingdom, you engage in inviting (people) to Church – my friend, He needs more labourers so He will keep you fit. He will keep you fit because He needs more labourers.
- The days of ups and downs in your health, they are finally over!
- I said, they are finally over!
Now if you believe that soul winning guarantees having miracle children, won’t you jump into it or not? You have done IVF (1,2,3,4) and you have heard people who did and God turned their story around by doing this simple thing, would you engage or not? People can’t see. Church Gist. So the response is a proof of not being able to see. Poor response is a proof of not being able to see.
If you believe that investing your financial resources in advancing the Kingdom of God brings a believer into realms of financial fortune, will you invest or not? I don’t mean financial management – financial fortune. Church Gist. I don’t mean scratching the bottom of your pot to find what to eat – I mean financial fortune. If you truly believe in it, would you engage or not?
If you believe that turning men to righteousness makes a star of believers, would you pursue or not? Church Gist. Daniel 12:3…The stars that keep shining even after you have gone – it’s shining in your family, shining in your lineage, shining on and on. You will engage.
If you believe that soul winning secures supernatural promotion, would you respond or not? You will jump. You have been faithful with a few things now have thou authority over 10 cities. “I am promoting you, I’m changing your level” – you will engage. Church Gist. If you believe that soul winning secures express answers to prayer, how will you respond? John 15:16.
- None of your prayers will return unanswered anymore as you engage with all your heart!
If you believe that soul winning puts a believer in command of the supernatural, will you respond or not? Yes, you will. Church Gist. If you believe that helping the challenged to get to Church where Christ will change their story entitles a believer to honour from God, will you engage or not? You will. Answer these questions by yourself. It will impact on your response in this operation and beyond.
If you believe praying Kingdom advancement prayers entitle believers to open rewards, you are praying in secret, He’s rewarding you openly, would you get involved or not? Of course you will. Our inaction is obviously a proof of lack of faith in the reality of the returns from Kingdom advancement stewardship. Period! It is not unspiritual to expect returns in our stewardship, it is scriptural. Church Gist. The disciples asked Jesus, “we have left all and followed you, what shall we have?” He said, “wait a minute, let me tell you what you will have.” He didn’t say ‘keep quiet, you are carnal.’ No! It’s scriptural. Expectation of returns is scriptural from our stewardship. He said, ‘you have left everything for me, you will have a hundredfold of it now in this present time and in the World to come life everlasting.’ Hundredfold means 100 by 100, ten thousand percent interest rate of anything you invest. There is no such interest rate anywhere in the World. Wake up and get involved.
I knew that all things that others are dying to get shall be added to me 48 years ago. My God! He hasn’t failed. I signed up for it, He hasn’t failed and His grace has helped me, I’ve not stopped. Over to you. It didn’t show like it’s real first one year, 5 years, 6 years, 10 years. No! We were still subject of mockery. Church Gist. But at the end, it shall speak. You are almost at the end where it speaks, don’t turn your back. You are almost at the end where it speaks, don’t pack up. Pay day is 30th, you are on the 28th day, don’t pack up. You are on the 29th, one day more, don’t pack up or you are never there.

- Operation Rescue 2024 is your final rescue from despair, from defeat, from failure, from despondency!
- It’s your rescue and my rescue!
This is what we do here. Life is sweet on this side. Amen. We sing here everyday, we shout for joy everyday. We are in Zion. We are the Family of God. If you are here, you want to be saved, be part of this Living Family of Jesus. I’d like to pray with you. All you need is to genuinely repent of your sins, accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and then you begin to walk in the newness of life. Church Gist. I was writing something on my table today, how does a man know whether he is saved or not? When your salvation impacts on your lifestyle, then you are. If you are not walking in the newness of life, you are not saved. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away, all things have become new.” So it’s not an assumed membership of a Church that makes a believer.
