Lord speak to us tonight we are all waiting in Jesus name.
This is the last service in this awesome month where your helper has finally come. May you never run out of His help all your life. I want to believe that His greatest help is helping us to obey God. Because of all virtues, obedience remains the master key that commits God to perform His Word in our lives. Obedience is better than sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of rams. Church Gist. That implies, there is no sacrifice under heaven that will be a substitute for obedience. Living by what God says, not by what is convenient. Living by what God says, not by what you feel or you think God should say. Of all virtues manifested by Christ as stated in Philippians 2:5-11, He was obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him a name above all names. At the name of Jesus, every knee should bow. On the basis of His unreserved obedience, He secured His place in eternity. His Lordship over all creation. He was obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. He confessed, “I have the power to lay it down and I have the power to take it again.” So it takes power to operate according to what God says in season and out of season. John 10:17-18. May that Spirit of obedience come upon every one of us afresh today in the name of Jesus.
The Church of Christ in most parts have remained so powerless simply because we are yet to discover our covenant access to empowerment. What does it take to qualify for His empowerment? There is no provision in the Kingdom without conditions required to be met for access. Hosea 4:6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge of what it takes to access what I have provided. They have gone into captivity because they have no knowledge. Church Gist. Otherwise, all things are loaded in their favour but they have no knowledge of access. Isaiah 5:1-13. For instance, we are not empowered for show, we are empowered for service. So commitment to serving God and the interests of His Kingdom is the covenant platform for access. We are not empowered for show, we are empowered for service.
I wrote a piece in the course of the week as I sat at the feet of Jesus: Stop fighting. Stop making war. Just endeavour to get it right. No one’s breakthrough is the reason for your struggles. No one’s breakthrough is the reason for my struggles. Stop fighting. Stop making war. Just endeavour to get it right. James 4:1-3. The word kill means you hate. You hate the hand of God upon others. You hate it. “See that sister who gave testimony tonight. I did what she did but I didn’t get that scholarship.” You didn’t do what she did. God is not a respecter of persons. You kill, it doesn’t mean you carried a knife to cut somebody’s neck. Church Gist. 1 John 3:15. You hate to see the breakthroughs of others. You keep reading negative meanings to it. What you hate to see in the lives of others disqualifies you from it. If you hate somebody else’s breakthrough, you will never see it. Relax! Nobody’s breakthrough is the reason for another one’s struggles. You don’t have an understanding of how to get it. You don’t ask “Why is my case not opening up?” Not that you don’t ask in prayer. You can ask in prayer and get nothing. Not everybody who prays gets answers. You pray according to His will before He can hear you. “Just let me see my breakthrough first, I will show them in this area. All my village people will know in this world.” Stop fighting. Stop making war. Just endeavour to get it right. God is no respecter of persons. My prayer is that everyone under the sound of my voice tonight will get it right this time.
We have just four weeks and a few days to go, please get it right. It doesn’t take a century for a change of story. It takes an encounter. Church Gist. The Lord sent a Word to Jacob and it turned His life around. We are in the golden days of the Church. No devil can stop that. May you be a partaker of those golden days.
I did some work on this: There is a place for everyone in space. Too wild! An old proverb says the sky is too wild for two birds to collide. You have your place there but your obedience will take you there. Church Gist. Our place is there reserved but it takes our obedience to secure our place there as individuals. There is a place for everyone in space. Deuteronomy 28:1. There are no limits. As many as care to obey me has a place in space. It is your turn.
Acts 1:8. I am empowering you to become my effective witnesses. I am empowering you to serve my purpose. I am prospering you because I want to use you as one of my channels for building the latter house. I am not empowering you for show as a philanthropist. Big name and all accolades. I am not empowering you for chieftaincy titles, I am empowering you financially as a channel towards building my Kingdom. Church Gist. Anything with God and the interests of His Kingdom behind it qualifies you and me for empowerment in that area. Before I had the first bank account in my life I desired in my heart, “Should you bless the works of my hand Jesus, I want to be building you churches. I couldn’t buy ten blocks together when I said that. God heard it inside me. He knows your heart. Church Gist. He knows my heart. I can’t see your heart but your fruits can show where your heart is. For by their fruits, we shall know them. You have pursued your things for so long, it hasn’t brought much rest. You haven’t seen much breakthrough. Do what He says and watch out for a difference. If we don’t know the platform for empowerment we will be crying for life without experiencing it. Are you set to serve Him? Then you are a candidate. Are you genuinely committed to serving the interests of His Kingdom? Then you are a candidate for empowerment.
Jesus empowered the twelve and the seventy with the same mandate, Go and preach, heal the sick, cleanse the leper, raise the dead. Freely you have received, freely give. Matthew 10:1-8. Luke 9:1-2. He empowered them to carry out His mission. You can’t be committed to His mission and miss His empowerment. We are empowered to go about our Heavenly Father’s business and not be bench warmers because Christ wants all men saved and established in the faith. Church Gist. His core mission on the earth today is to draw all men to Himself. The reason He went through the gruesomeness of the cross is to draw all men unto Himself. John 12:32. So we come on key with that, we win His heart. We win His favour and nothing flies like favour. We keep flying while others are struggling and sweating. You cannot miss your place with a heart for God. No one can miss his place in life and eternity with a genuine heart for God. Let’s come awake.
UNVEILING THE HIDDEN MINISTRIES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. How He helps us to make the most of our adventure on the earth.
Let’s examine three of these hidden Ministries of the Holy Spirit.
- The Holy Spirit Is The Lord Of The Harvest
Matthew 9:38. Luke 10:1-2.
- I therefore pray that prayer for everyone under the sound of my voice tonight, be empowered for greater effectiveness on the harvest field!
- be empowered for greater fervency on the altar of prayer
- Be empowered for greater passion for the lost in the name of Jesus!
Now, how does he empower us to be effective on the harvest field?
- He directs us to where the harvest is waiting: Acts 10:19-23 – that was how the breakthrough came to the Gentiles in the house of Cornelius. All that gathered were baptized in the Holy Ghost, baptized in water same day. Acts 10:44-50. Church Gist. The Spirit said to Peter, “go with them.” – verse 19. It was orchestrated by divine direction, that eruption came up by divine direction. Romans 8:14. So he leads us to where the souls are waiting, to where the souls are ready for harvest. So we have a responsibility to ask, “Holy Spirit, where are the harvest reserved for me this time waiting? Where are they? Where is the place?” He directs them. Acts 16:6-9. The Holy Spirit guides us to where the souls are ready for harvest.
Let’s stop doing things as usual, let’s allow him to lead the way. Whenever he leads, it shows. Acts 22:17-23. Paul thought God accepted his explanation -verse 21. He guides us to where his testimony will be received. He knows where the Word will be received – ask him. Church Gist. Every supernatural breakthrough follows divine direction. Isaiah 48:21. Jesus sent his disciples – Matthew 10:5-6, “Go not into the way of the Gentiles and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” He directs to where the harvest is waiting.
We are fishers of men and the Holy Spirit knows where the fishes are in the water. Luke 5:4-7. On the same water that they laboured all night and caught nothing, he showed them where the thing was. Luke 5:1-8. John 21:5-6 – they got it right. Church Gist. The remaining four and half weeks, you’re going to catch amazing harvest in the name of Jesus! When we allow the Holy Spirit to lead and direct which way to go, we shall continue to return with bumper harvest. Ecclesiastes 10:10, 15; Proverbs 21:22.
- in the name of Jesus, one direction will lead to amazing harvest this remaining four and half weeks! No one shall labour in vain in the name of Jesus!
- We can only preach, we cannot convict. So the Holy Ghost steps in, by giving us utterance with words that prick the heart unto repentance. As we saw in Peter, the Holy Ghost came and what should get them angry, pricked their heart to repentance by the utterance of convicting words by the Holy Ghost. John 16:7-11. Church Gist. He’s the convicter and the converter. Sweet words don’t convict anybody, it’s Holy Ghost powered words that do. “Holy Spirit grant me utterance today as I open my mouth to testify of you. Empower the words of my mouth to prick the heart of anyone I speak to unto repentance that will lead to their conversion.”
Don’t assume, don’t quote prrruprrruprrru (sound of talking plenty) Scriptures. They have never had the Bible, they don’t know what you’re talking about, you’re talking about James, Joshua, where do they live? Are you in the same town? And because he knows one Joshua who is a drunk, you say according to Joshua. He says, “Joshua? So you know Joshua? To the point that you can be quoting him? Haba! I’m not interested, carry your Gospel go.” But you open your mouth by the Holy Ghost without quoting any Scripture but the life in you oozing forth, it brings conviction. Church Gist. We are going to see wonders! Most of the times we go on our own strength and we fall flat by having no result. ” Holy Spirit, I can’t convict anyone, only you can. I can bring anyone to repentance only you can. I am going forth depending on you for utterance, the kind that convicts and converts. So help me Lord.” You pray that from the depth of your heart, whether you’re in a partnership or not, you pray that inside you, you get to a point where you are the one to speak. Just saying, “Jesus loves you can bring conviction.” “Jesus save me (pleading)” – you’ve not said one Word than Jesus loves you.
That is one of his hidden ministries which most people forget and keep labouring and labouring. I was part of that before. You just go, (and say) “you go to hell. Repent or perish. I said, repent or perish.” Church Gist. He says, thank you. I said, repent or … I said, Thank you, what else? (he retorts). “…I’ve heard your information.” Because you feel that by harassing him you convict him.
Holy Spirit come to our aid this time, grant supernatural utterance that convicts and converts in the name of Jesus!
Peter was preaching such wonderful message that should get them angry and stone him, but 3,000 people were convicted and converted because it was by the utterance of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:41. You saw what Jonah did in Nineveh? That was an abusive message – “40 days you perish.” They should even kill him but that’s the Word he was given. Jonah 3:2. Church Gist. He was behind that statement, he worked through that statement and brought conviction to a whole city.
“Holy Spirit, I need you. I can’t get any result without you. I can’t see anyone saved without you. You are the Lord of the harvest. I need your utterance that brings conviction and bring in harvest to the Kingdom of God.” Can I hear your Amen?
- The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of vengeance that clears the path for the delivery of any given task. The Holy Ghost came to empower the believers to realize their glorious destiny but here we have the enemy saying, “never, not when I am here.” Church Gist. So He came to rescue us from the oppression of the wicked. Isaiah 61:1-3. More often than not, until vengeance answers, the wicked never gives up. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of vengeance. He comes down heavily against our adversaries to open up our destiny and fulfill His agenda for our lives.
We had Elymas that stood by the deputy of that city, maybe deputy mayor or whatever and while Paul was ministering, Elymas was resisting the deputy from listening to the Word. And Paul turned aside and invoked vengeance on him. He went blind on the spot and the deputy believed. So we need to call for vengeance against all operations of hell as we go out to see people saved. ‘Lord, let your vengeance answer on every installation of oppositions of hell against their salvation.’ Church Gist. You send them to bed. While you are there, they will be sleeping and never wake up until when God has finished rescuing the people. You can send them on a journey that has no meaning and He can plague them if they resist.
We need to understand the vengeance ministry of the Holy Ghost to fulfill God’s agenda in our lives. We must invoke it. When we notice resistance, we invoke His vengeance. Church Gist. Holy Spirit, come down with your vengeance, there must be a way out here. Can I hear your Amen? Acts 13:12.
The good news today is that we have access to these hidden ministries or helps of the Holy Spirit but only on demand. Isaiah 44:3-4. Only the genuinely thirsty is a candidate for empowerment. Luke 11:13, Psalm 63:1-3. His helps are only accessible on demand. Don’t assume, make demands. ‘Holy Spirit lead me this remaining 4 and a half weeks to where the harvest ordained for me is waiting. Church Gist. Holy Spirit empower my utterance for conviction leading to conversion. Holy Spirit, I demand for your vengeance against all oppositions from hell as I step out.’ His ministries are only deliverable on demand. We can’t access it without making a demand for it.
As I close, it is not unscriptural to expect returns from our Kingdom advancement endeavours. It is scriptural and it’s a covenant between us and God. Isaiah 45:19. It’s scriptural. It’s a covenant between us and our Father and He is not known to be a covenant breaker. We serve a covenant keeping God. Church Gist. It’s not unspiritual to expect returns. Exodus 23:25-26. It’s not unscriptural to expect returns from our Kingdom advancement engagement. Job 36:11. It’s a covenant between us and our lovely heavenly Father.
Now, Jesus, the most Spiritual, He is a spirit. The Bible calls “the second Adam a quickening spirit.” They asked Him, we have left all and followed thee, what shall we have then? He said, come, let me tell you this… Matthew 19:27-29, Mark 10:28-30, Luke 18:28-30. Church Gist. He didn’t say, get off my sight, you unspiritual people. He answered them. It is not unspiritual to expect returns from our Kingdom advancement endeavours. It is scriptural and it’s a covenant between us and our Father God.
On the prayer altar, God who sees your prayer investment in secrets has vowed to reward you openly. So you find Kingdom advancement prayer testimonies (flowing in) like that. Matthew 6:6,17-18. Church Gist. So you can fast for breakthrough on the harvest field, you can fast to know where you are going. He said, God who sees your investment in fasting and prayer will reward you openly. John 4:35-36. So it’s not unspiritual to expect returns.
- We are going to swim in strange order of returns as an aftermath of this Operation! Set yourself for it.
Everyone is a partaker of his hope. What you don’t hope for never happens. What you don’t expect, you never experience. Now, get set for amazing returns on your Kingdom advancement endeavours. Get set for it. It’s only what you hope for that comes to happen. Church Gist. Everyone is a partaker of his hope in Kingdom stewardship. 1 Corinthians 9. So, expect amazing returns not hidden coming your way in return.
Finally, 1 Corinthians 3:6-8. So let’s say, planting for sharing the Word. The Word is the seed, we are planting the seed. Let’s take prayer as watering. Everyone shall receive his own reward according to his own labour (according to the effect of his prayer and the returns from his soul winning endeavours). Church Gist. Everyone shall receive his own reward. God does not reward groups, He rewards individuals. He does not promote groups, He promotes individuals.
Big question; why do we hear the same thing under the same prophetic blessings and yet getting different results. What we hear does not change us. What we believe does not change us. It is what we do with what we hear that does. Church Gist. The prayers prayed must be allowed for answers in your life. It doesn’t drop on people anyhow. God will not bless the disobedient. God will not bless any man’s disobedience. His blessings always trail man’s obedience.
‘Lord, open the windows of Heaven and bless everybody.’ He won’t. He told you who He will bless. You are a tither, I will bless you. You are a Kingdom promoter, I will bless you financially. You are none of them, forget the prayer of Papa – Papa’s prayer and the World, no! Too far! The just shall live by his faith. Church Gist. Now, Jesus the Faith Himself, He marveled at their unbelief because what He brought to them, they could not take delivery. He marveled at their own unbelief. So why do we hear the same thing and get different results? We do different things with what we hear. And we hear it and everybody thinks we believe it. We don’t believe it. If you believe it, it will show. Why do we hear the same thing and under the same prophetic blessings and yet get different order of results? Some will get thirtyfold, some sixtyfold, some hundredfold that means, some onefold. That means some no fold. (Laughs)! So it depends.
- May you come on key in getting it right!
- God is out to decorate his people, His agenda for the end time, you will not be left behind!
- God is out to decorate his people, reposition them, enthrone them, you will not be left out!
Therefore, may your heart be opened to receive the diverse helps of the Holy Ghost in making the most of your walk with God. It always pays.
