To Winners Worldwide, I say congratulations. For His manifest presence in our midst over the years, His strange works and strange acts, His unfailing faithfulness and mercy. Every sent man is merely a microphone. It is the sound behind the microphone that engenders impact. Acts 19:11. Church Gist. God behind the scenes speaking through the microphone wrought special miracles. For all the miracles we have seen in the last 43 years, Jesus did. I know and I am persuaded He did because I have never felt virtue leave me for once. That I ministered and then it is Jesus who would say “Virtue left me.” Virtue has never left me, that means it is not my virtue. It is His virtue flowing through an ordinary virtue.
The reason I am often moved to tears when I hear testimonies is that I didn’t know when it happened. Go and return with testimonies. I can’t tell when I told you that. So I wasn’t the one who told you. The microphone can’t remember what it said, it is the voice behind it that does. I am not sent as an expert. ‘Powerful short man’, I am a mere microphone in the hands of Jesus. Church Gist. So whatever flows to you, came from Him. Whatever touched your life came from Him. Whatever turned your life, came from Him. All that we see as a Church, all that we have seen as individuals are the wonderful works of God, the wonderful works of Christ, the amazing works of the Holy Ghost. The glory goes to Him.
Jesus, we say thank you. Thank you again and again. You said in clear terms, “Without me, you can do nothing”. It is the Lord’s doing and it is marvellous in our eyes. Jesus, we acknowledge you as the one behind the scenes working all the works. Take all the glory, take all the praise. Show yourself again tonight. Manifest yourself again in our midst tonight. Do what only you can do again tonight. Church Gist. Let every soul connected to this service return liberated. I can see sickness flying out, spells and enchantments dissolving, satanic barriers disappearing, the siege of untimely death being destroyed, your tears being turned to cheers, your mourning turned into dancing. As we were told earlier, it shall be a night to be much remembered in your life and my life in the name of Jesus.
Tonight in our first segment we will be looking at UNVEILING THE MYSTERY OF THANKSGIVING. I like you to please listen with an open heart because it will change your story forever. We live in a Kingdom that is governed by mysteries. Mark 4:11. Mysteries are simply the deep things of God ordained for the glorification of the saints. Church Gist. Ephesians 3:8-11. The end time Church will be reigning by mysteries, access to the deep things of God. The depths of God are unfathomable. Romans 11:33.
What Makes Thanksgiving A Mystery?
Mysteries are God’s ways laid out in scriptures. They are higher than our ways. They are God’s thoughts on issues, His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Church Gist. They are hidden treasures embedded in scriptures that turn giants out of ordinary believers. Just gain access to them and you gain mastery over the issues of life.
There are nine major treasures we look at tonight that are hidden in the mystery of Thanksgiving.
1. Supernatural Strength
Psalm 92:1-2, 10. A unicorn connotes strength. Within the mystery of thanksgiving is hidden supernatural strength. Psalm 100:4, 84:7. With thanksgiving we keep appearing, we keep appearing and we keep going from strength to strength. Thansgivers experience supernatural strength. The strength of the unicorn. It is part of the characteristics of the end-time army. They shall run like mighty men. They shall climb the wall like men of war. Joel 2:1-11. Supernatural strength is the lot of genuine thanksgivers. Church Gist. Supernatural strength because they appear before the Lord again and again and there they go from strength to strength. You don’t want to go from weakness to weakness? Then get addicted to Thanksgiving as a lifestyle. You keep going from strength to strength.
2. Fresh Oil
Psalm 92:1-2, 10-11. Fresh oil for supernatural victory over the battles of life. The oil is renewed through the mystery of thanksgiving. Thanksgivers don’t run oil dry. The oil on the head of thanksgivers doesn’t go stale. Thanksgiving is a mystery, don’t drain yourself of strength. Don’t drain yourself of unction. Church Gist. Watch every genuine thanksgiver they are ever fresh. Isaiah 10:27. The anointing destroys barriers on your path. Isaiah 45:1-3. The anointing clears barriers off our path. Every barrier that has stood between you and God’s agenda for your life shall clear off tonight.
3. It Secures Our Place In The Kingdom.
We get planted in the house of God through thanksgiving. You are constantly there. Psalm 92:12. Planted because in everything you give thanks. For the things He has done, thank you. To keep them happening. For the things not done, ‘Thank You’ to make them happen. When thanksgiving becomes your lifestyle, you have nowhere else you are going to. God becomes more than enough for you. You heard me say whatever my God cannot do, let it remain undone. Church Gist. Whatever my God cannot give me, may I never have it. Wherever He cannot take me to, may I never get there. It brings you to your bus stop in life. Thanksgiving brings you to your bus stop in life. Which implies heaven becomes a sure thing because you have become one with God. His presence becomes your joy, you constantly look forward to it. It secures one’s place in the Kingdom. Psalm 84:2-4. You just dwell there, you are just lost in God. You are just having the best of fun hanging around with Jesus with thanksgiving.
4. Thanksgiving Causes The Redeemed To Flourish In Season And Out Of Season
Psalm 92:14-15. Flourishing in season and out of season is the lot of thanksgivers. ‘We are in the desert, how do we get food to buy for these people?’ Thanksgiving is what you need. ‘Father, I thank you’ and the little boy’s meal satisfied 5000 men, not counting women and children. The minimum number of guests was 10,000 people because there would be more women there than there are men, minus children. Thanksgiving caused them to feed fat in the desert. Flourishing in season and out of season. Church Gist. You look at the last meal in your house and you give thanks, then the pot of flour keeps multiplying. The cruise of oil never ceased through the mystery of thanksgiving. Particularly hard times have come upon the world today, we need to lay hold on this mystery of thanksgiving to keep flourishing as things keep getting harder and harder for the world. You will notice there has been no tension of supplies in the ministry since inception. Father thank you, He says I hear. Nothing good finishes in your hands again. Thanksgivers don’t know dry seasons. To be thankful in season and out of season is to keep flourishing at all times. Habbakuk 3:17-19.
5. Thanksgiving is a trigger for the supernatural.
Thanksgiving triggers the supernatural. Thanksgivers don’t look for miracles, they are miracles themselves. Addiction to thanksgiving enables believers to operate the supernatural naturally. “Father, I thank you” and the stinking Lazarus came out of the grave. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. Thanksgiving destroyed death in the case of Lazarus. When our last daughter was dying I said Jesus thank you because there is a way out. Church Gist. I was saying that with a smile. 🎶 give thanks with a grateful heart. Give thanks to the Holy One. Because He has given Jesus Christ, the Son 🎶 now, don’t give thanks with a grin. Give thanks with a grateful heart. Thanksgiving without a grateful heart doesn’t fly. I was smiling, our daughter was dying. Jesus, thank you. There must be a way out. In no time, fiery words came down. Four scriptures and life came through. She is alive. You better wake up! All these thanksgiving with one side of your mouth won’t fly. With a grateful heart.
My wife could not believe service had ended in Kaduna when she first came to Church because of the kind of joy I used to return with, you can’t marry with the number. They are not the same. They are very unequal. It is not faking it, I was on top. If you don’t give thanks for small, you will never see big. If you stop giving thanks, big will start getting small. The supernatural answers to thanksgiving stronger than it does to prayers. Because you have carried God’s presence, only what can stop God will stop you. Your days of setbacks and stagnation are over. 1 Corinthians 15:26. The toughest of all demonic strongholds is death and Jesus gave thanks and death gave way. Church Gist. John 11:41. Somebody says I am on medication. Yes, won’t you thank God that medication is working? What if it is not working? There are people afflicted, no matter what drug you give them it doesn’t help. My hand is paining me. Won’t you thank God, it is only your hand that is paining you? That the other parts are free. Miracles answer to thanksgiving.
– From today, no more barriers on your path of triumph.
He hasn’t changed. He is still the same forever.
As we all know the anointing of the Holy Spirit is the custodian of the supernatural. Joel 2. Signs! That is the Holy Ghost. When He landed on the day of Pentecost signs just kept flowing from Chapter 3 of Acts all the way to the end. Signs and wonders are His major ministry. The Holy Ghost is the custodian of signs and wonders. Through thanksgiving, you are anointed with fresh oil, that connotes the eruption of signs and wonders as you walk through the path of life. Church Gist. If you look through the Psalms, lots of them are thanksgiving and praise. Lots of them. They are all just thanksgiving, they are all just praises unto God. He never lost any battle. You will never lose any battle in your life. One Cannot Be Tormented With Thanksgiving. Psalm 89:20-24. That is what the anointing does. You touch the anointed, you pay. Psalm 105:15. He turns you into a Touch Not entity on the streets. Don’t mess with Him. Signs and Wonders Are Natural With Thanksgiving.
6. Every prophetic scripture demands thanksgiving for fulfilment
2 Peter 1:19. Revelation 19:10. All scriptures are prophetic. They are the testimonies of Jesus, He is the Living Word of God. 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Hebrews 10:36. What is the will of God? In everything give thanks. After that, expect the fulfilment of God’s promises. Expect fulfilment of God’s promises in your life. Give thanks. We saw the story of Abraham in Romans 4. He staggered not at the promises of God through unbelief, he was strong in faith giving glory to God and Isaac came. Church Gist. As he kept giving glory to God, Isaac came according to that which was spoken. He kept giving glory to God and then the Word came fulfilled. Thankless believers hardly see prophecies fulfilled. They are busy complaining and explaining. We have the example of Jehosaphat in his battle against three strong nations. 2 Chronicles 20:17-22. They began to sing and to praise and God set ambushment against their enemy. They paved the way for supernatural victory by giving God all the glory. God hasn’t changed. The last battle you lost is the last you will ever lose in your life.
We have the testimony of Hezekiah. Isaiah 38:20. God said I will heal you, He said ‘I will sing my songs to facilitate the delivery of that prophecy.’ God is set to liberate you tonight. Therefore be filled with songs in your soul. Church Gist. Be filled with thanksgiving because tonight the siege of your life shall be over. The siege against your destiny shall be broken. The spell of the wicked shall be shattered.
The end time Church is ordained for explosive growth according to Micah 4:1-2. Explosive growth! Jeremiah 30:19. The growth of the end time Church is triggered by thanksgiving. You hear us every time we pray, ‘now give thanks’. It is the only way to get across. Acts 2:46-47. That answers to thanksgiving. Thank God for intercessions, thanksgiving is required to experience to stir supernatural growth. Would you give God thanks for the growth we have experienced thus far as a Church over the years? Where thanksgiving stops, Church growth will cease. Church Gist. Malachi 2:2. Giving God glory from the heart for the addition of 1,2,3,4… it will keep multiplying. Isaiah 55:8. You will find some wild praise in our old videos celebrating God for where He brought us to. That may not mean much to many people but that is where He brought us to. If you don’t thank God for where you are, you are going no further.
1. Supernatural Change Of Level
Psalm 92:12. Scaling unusual heights as a result of verse 1 and 2. Habbakuk 3:17-19. From below sea level to high places. We suffered a failed crusade years ago. We were about to start the crusade and about 30 minutes to the time, the company we hired equipment from said they are not giving us again. There was no time to make alternative arrangements. We still had a very interesting crusade. I saw less than 20 people, so we joined our hands and I preached to them through prayers. I got to the hotel and I saw that some people were already worn out. They already felt defeated. Church Gist. I said if anybody complains that is the last crusade we will ever have. So I said let’s give God thanks. We gave God thanks. I said when next we are in town, there will be no room. That happened. You can’t change level without thanksgiving. I don’t care how you complain no matter what your reasons are, you can never change level.
Our entry into Kaduna was quite an amazement, we went for a week long Healing and Revival Week. It was a powerful meeting. Highest attendance was 63. A city wide event. So we got together on Monday morning and then I came together with that prophetic song 🎶All the glory must be to the Lord for He is worthy of our praise 🎶 You will think that we are going to gather somewhere and be complaining, No! One night, one person got saved. You can’t save an ant. That’s where we are coming from. You better receive this grace today instead of panting for nonsense. That you are still breathing, you owe God thanks. See where we are today in Kaduna by the grace of God. No one changes level in the Kingdom without thanksgiving. Church Gist. No matter how smart you may claim to be. Many are just where they are because they cannot give thanks. “Well God has not done anything for me this year, it is supposed to be our year of fortune. See my misfortune.” I can see it. Give thanks. You have gone round that mountain long enough, give thanks to secure a change of level. It is your turn.
When this building (Faith Tabernacle) was completed by God, the pastors gathered together and I told them that if anybody says we built this house, God will kill them. We have no power nor capacity nor strength or skill to do it. God did it. As we keep thanking Him, this will not be the last one He will do. Church Gist. We gave it all to Him, He said Yes, you got me. Now, see the Ark coming up. If you don’t give thanks for what is happening, it will stop happening. You give God thanks for what is happening, more will happen. So it is all in your hand and my hand. It is your turn.
8. Thanksgiving provides uncheckered access to revelation.
With thanksgiving, we gain access to His presence and in His presence, He shows us the path of life. Thanksgivers don’t lack access to the path of life. Psalm 16:11. You know also that the Holy Spirit reveals the deep things of God and thanksgiving gets us under fresh oil providing access to the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. Thanksgivers don’t lack access to revelation. Church Gist. Complainers and murmurers don’t have access. When you know the truth, the truth will set you free. Isaiah 60:1-3, 8, 22. That’s what happens with access to revelation. True revelation changes people’s stories. True revelation transforms people’s lives. It is not big grammar, it is big change. As we behold Him, we are changed from glory to glory. People celebrate grammar and all that. That is not it, they can’t see the change, you haven’t seen anything. You better not persuade yourself of nonsense. If it is not changing you, you have not seen it. Every true revelation changes people’s stories. When he revealed Church Growth to me, it changed our story. He revealed prosperity to me, it changed our story. He revealed corporate tithing to me, it changed our story as a Church. Church Gist. He revealed hitch-free marriage to me, it happened. Every true revelation produces a change. It signals a change. Isaiah 12:3. His presence brings us joy unspeakable which provides us access to the deep things of life. It is a treasure. Today, in the name of the Lord Jesus I curse everything that murmurs and grumbles in your life. Murmuring only messes up people’s situations. Complaints complicate people’s matters, get out of it. It is not your portion. You are free from it today in the name of Jesus.
9. Thanksgiving stirs joy unspeakable.
Can I tell you what that does? It delivers from depression. Thanksgivers don’t know depression. Thanksgivers don’t suffer depression. They are always on top of situations. You will appreciate this better. During the time of my wife’s health ordeal, I was difficult to greet. Joy overflow in my heart. I can’t do it, the one who can do it demands that I be joyful. He won’t do it if I am not joyful. Church Gist. Let’s wake up. That was not one month, not two months, not twelve months. Wake up! Thanksgiving brings you into the realm of joy unspeakable full of glory. That is our portion in the midst of thanksgiving. You never smell depression all the days of your life.
Have you ever come to Church all the years that you have been here, with any grim look on the altar? We want to thank God but brethren, things are tough. I can’t remember one day that robbed me of my laughter. He that sitteth in heaven shall laugh. Church Gist. I am seated with Him so I will laugh. Don’t stop laughing so you don’t get out of there. Ephesians 2:6. Psalm 2:4. Where are you sitting? What should you do?
This is what happens, a merry heart doeth good like a medicine, so joy enhances health. Joy is a covenant therapy for health. The more joyful a man is, the healthier he lives. Your days of breakdowns are over. So anytime something wants to cast you down, ‘Common now, I am seated in heavenly places.’ Church Gist. They don’t look grim there. They laugh there. They call it conqueror’s laughter. You laugh the conqueror’s laughter from within. You are engaging the conqueror’s laughter from within. The battles of your life are over.
I want everyone waiting on the Lord for the fruit of the womb, God’s prescription is Isaiah 54:1. ‘Sing oh barren.’ ‘I want to visit you, you must get out of depression to experience my visitation. Church Gist. Sing oh barren in business and career, He wants to visit you.
– Today marks the end of mourning in your life.
– Today marks the end of sorrow in your life.
