For massive salvation of souls in their countless numbers over the first 42 years, receive our thanks! Church Gist. For access to the Word at all times in all services because You gave it, receive our thanks. For confirming Your Word with signs, wonders and diverse miracles, receive our thanks. For growth and expansion that has been without stress, receive our thanks.
Now, we are here in Your presence reach out to each one of us in the name of Jesus. Let this 2023 Liberation service be a landmark event in everyone’s life. Put us right we have missed it, get our feet on the solid rock. Let no one in this family be robbed of our inheritance and take all the glory in Jesus precious name.
Praise God, I am finally on Covenant Highways of life. Congratulations. Give the LORD a good hand of praise and please you may be seated.
One of the things that the LORD told me, very early after this dramatic encounter that delivered the vision is that “My son I have not chosen you because you are better than anybody else neither are you smarter than anyone else, I have only given you a privilege and should you abuse it, there are better hundreds at the door.” Church Gist. How many have heard me say that before? There is no single indispensable person in the Kingdom of God not one! 1 Samuel 15:28. There is always somebody better next door, may your crown another man not take. I pray that your crown in the Kingdom, another man will not take. I wasn’t saying that, sometimes later I told them exactly when God told me, that I am absolutely dispensable, I should see it as a privilege and jealously guard it. Interestingly, I said to God “What will I be teaching that will still be relevant for one whole year? LORD, what are You exposing me to?” I met it, I didn’t have it and now by His grace, we have not finished preaching what He is saying. Most people fail because they know it too much. They are too much in their own eyes. Church Gist. No proud believer has a future with God. Let’s learn a lesson from it. I was broken because I couldn’t imagine what I would be teaching one whole year that will make meaning and people will still be hearing and I won’t be repeating myself over and over again. He knew my heart. Somebody is liberated from secret pride today because the meek will He guide in judgement, the meek will He teach His way. Psalms 25:9. In Matthew Chapter 11, the Word says in 28 and 29, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” Come and learn of Me but come with meeekness and you shall find rest for your soul. Church Gist. May the grace for the required meekness to keep accessing divine guidance, divine insight be everyone’s portion today.
For the time we have, we will be looking at “UNVEILING THE MYSTERY OF THE PROPHETIC MANTLE.” Whatever touches the anointed, particularly a clothing materials conveys the anointing on the anointed. Two scriptures; in Psalms 45:6-8, maybe that was what the woman heard in the temple and started looking for the garment of Jesus. All thy garments! Psalms 133:1-3. So, the anointing on the anointed is ordained to flow through any clothing material that touches him. We saw that in the New Testament, from the ministry of Jesus, that woman touched Him and the flow of blood stopped immediately. Luke 8:44-46. She touched His clothes not His flesh.
We also saw how handkerchief and aprons were taken from Paul the Apostle to them that were sick, the diseases departed and evil spirits went out of them. They were healed, special miracles. Acts 19:11-12. Church Gist. So, it is not a new thing, we just need an understanding of it to be able to tap into what he carries. Today, in the name of Jesus, no one here shall be an onlooker! You are leaving here a bonafide partaker of the free grace of God.
It wasn’t Paul at work, it was God at work through Paul. Acts 19:11-12. God did it through the hands of Paul flowing through the unction that is in Paul to reach out to the people. So, it’s not new.
The question then is, why is this mystery not working in every hand? It’s important to ask questions. Why is this mystery not working in every hand? Why do you hold the prophetic mantle in your hand and you are still defeated? Church Gist. Without faith, it is impossible to move God. Everything works by faith in the Kingdom, outside of your faith and my faith, there is no access. Matthew 10:41. You can tap into what a Prophet carries without receiving that Prophet by faith as a messenger from God. Church Gist. Luke 8:45-46. We are all thronging, somebody is touching by faith. He said to the woman “thy faith has made you whole.” It didn’t work for Peter. No!
He couldn’t tap the virtue there. No! But that weak woman, 12years flow of blood, reached out to Jesus and drew virtue out of Him. You can’t draw virtue out of the mantle without your faith, you can’t! But, this morning, I will like to quickly look through a few things that you need to check if you must be a partaker of any of these spiritual instruments of the Word of God that are ordained for our triumphant living.
Let me try to define a mantle as any clothing material taken from the hand of God’s Apostle and Prophet for the purpose of transmission of spiritual virtues but we must believe both in God- the source of that grace and His Prophets – the carrier of that grace that access them. 2 Chronicles 20:20.
We saw the mantle come down from Elijah into the hand of Elisha. How he smote the waters and it parted hither the same way it did for Elijah.
– Whatever works for this Commission, as you depart from this service today all around the world, it shall begin to work in your life.
We live in an arrogant generation that hates warnings, they detest instructions. You can’t go far. Somebody has said “They that walk, walk with many. They that run, run with a few but they that fly, fly alone. We walk by common sense, we run by principles. We only fly by instructions. Those who hate instructions are not candidates for the flight. Church Gist. In aviation school, you don’t have professors, you have instructors. It is not a thing to debate, there are instructions to follow. If you don’t follow you are down. They won’t let you go up so you don’t kill innocent people. We are redeemed for a flight.
Jesus came as the bright morning star and as the Father has sent us, so has he sent us. So we are redeemed as high fliers in redemption but it takes instructions to arrive there. Moving this ministry from Kaduna to Lagos was not an advice, it was an instruction. Then the next chapter opened. Church Gist. Moving from that Agege area to Africa was not an admonition, it was an instruction. Moving from there to this forest was an instruction. People hate instructions so they suffer stagnation and frustration. It takes instructions to experience distinction.
We should also understand the warning ministry of God’s apostles and prophets. Ezekiel 3:17-20. This is why things are not working for you. Stop doing that, stop doing this if you want them to work. Acts 20:31. These things should work in your hand why is it not working? Check this out. Watch out for these areas. Church Gist. Don’t keep suffering defeat when you are ordained for triumph. The days of your defeat are finally over. Psalm 19:11. We get great rewards by heeding the warnings of scriptures. That it doesn’t work for you does not mean it isn’t working. It won’t work for you because you are not on key with what you need to do in order to make it work.
1. First, let us recognize that you can never access the grace you despise. The grace you despise you can never access.
2. The grace you don’t celebrate you cannot partake of.
3. The source of the grace you don’t value cannot release any virtue unto your life.
I have said over the years that without a sense of value, there will never be a flow of virtue. A sense of value is what triggers the flow of virtue. The grace you don’t crave, you cannot be imparted with. That is why the prophetic mantle is not a magic wand. It requires a covenant positioning for delivery. You saw the man called Gehazi, the prophet gave him his rod. Not a handkerchief, not a mantle, the staff of office of the prophet was given to Gehazi to go and lay on the Shunamite son that was dead, he returned and said “he waketh not”. Church Gist. Who was Gehazi? We saw him in his true colours in Chapter 5. He was a man after money. He was always after what he could grab. It won’t work in his hands. A carnal man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God because they are spiritually discerned. Neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14. So it takes spirituality. Romans 8:6. The prophetic mantle is not a ritual but an instrument of power. We saw when Elisha returned, the mockers bowed and said “The Spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha”.
I was on a mission to the U.S. in 1986 with a desperation to return with the mantle of Hagin. I had no right, I had no opportunity to meet him in my life. I sat down like you are sitting now. I was in the gallery and because that was all I went for, I couldn’t tell who was on my right and my left side. My eyes were focused on that altar and suddenly I saw his face change like a little baby and I saw oil dripping down from his head down to his feet. Church Gist. Something was fired into me where I was sitting. I broke down into tears uncontrollably and God said to me in the midst of the sobbing “My son David, the baton has been passed down to you”. I am praying that somebody here will return with the baton of this commission today. It is an instrument of power. The mockers who were mocking him a moment ago, said ‘The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha’ Your mockers will start celebrating you.
That is why the Prophetic mantle does not deliver in any kind of hand. What do I need?
1. A right spirit Psalm 51:10.
We saw a man here by name Simeon, wanting to buy the power of God in Acts 8:19-21. This man was on the other side of Jordan and after hearing the preaching of Philip, he surrendered his life to Christ. Church Gist. After he saw the Holy Ghost come on people, he gave Peter money in verse 19 of Acts 8:19-21. Without the right Spirit, the mantle will never work in your hand. Without the right Spirit, you are not a candidate for His manifestation.
The things of the Spirit require discipline for delivery Ecclesiastes 5:6. Some people destroy the works of their hands without knowing because of their loose tongues- Busy bodies in other men’s matters. Somebody was out in town talking against Covenant University and God smote him with a terrible mouth odour, he ran down here crying. Church Gist. Caution! Face your business because our walk with God is on an individual basis 1 Peter 4:15. God does not count us in groups while dealing with us but as individuals Isaiah 51:2.
3. Beware of scattering the flock of Christ in any way
It is a hard thing for any man to kick against the Preacher. Church Gist. You come against the Church of Christ, you are broken into pieces, beware! And if He comes against you, you are ground to powder, beware! When you are talking against the Church that you belong to and the move of God in it, beware! Indiscipline has destroyed many destinies Sir, nothing good can flow into your life in a Church that you don’t believe in. Don’t waste your life, you have only one life (you don’t have a spare).
We have just finished Operation Hit Your Targets and the Forty Weeks of Harvest. Listen to me by the grace of God and to the glory of Jesus, my team have five thousand, nine hundred and seventy-two (5,972) new converts, we have seven thousand, three hundred and ninety-seven (7,397) of them in the Church and then sixty-four (64) new Home Cell Fellowship created for our new converts. Church Gist. Now, you will not want to do anything, another person will do their own work plus your own, beware! There is no Prophetic move without casualties.
-No one here shall be a casualty!
-You shall not be overthrown.
Please understand that this is not a Church of man or a Church of a group of people, this is a Church of Christ. Jesus told me at the beginning, ‘I will build My Church not your Church’ Matthew 16:18. If it is your Church, you will build it but I will only build ‘My Church’ and we saw Jesus building this thing like a joke! Awesome God! Church Gist. There was a place where some folks gathered together and they deported our missionaries from that Nation and a Clerk in our office was holding the Services and the Church was getting full- A Clerk not a Deacon, Cell Minister or Pastor. Don’t play with God, I will like you to be spiritually well-positioned.
-Between this Liberation Service and the next one, you will be a wonder to your world.
You are either part of the ingathering or a scatterer Matthew 12:30, Acts 20:28-31. Very important please, no believer qualifies to be called a pillar in the Church of Christ, we are all parts of the building blocks. Church Gist. The Church is the ground and pillar of the Truth, we are all lively stones in the process 1 Peter 2:5, 2 Timothy 3:15.
-God will keep lifting people here from one level of glory to another.
Don’t ever come to a point where you will see yourself as a pillar or you will crash. The Church is built upon the foundation of the Apostles and the Prophets. Church Gist. Jesus Himself is the Chief Cornerstone, He is the pillar Ephesians 2:19-20.
-People are going to be lifted to some strange heights here but may pride not cut anyone down!
Next warning! Beware of these teachings that proclaim liberty in captivity; “only your soul can sin, your Spirit cannot sin”. What? Can’t you see the list of those who will not make Heaven? Is it their spirit sinning that sin? No. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. Caution!! This all-inclusive Gospel is a device of the devil to keep men in captivity for life and if we check it, it’s not working. Church Gist. So much games here and there, it’s not working.
– it’s a new day for you.
The Bible calls it ‘Seducing spirits and doctrines of devils’. It’s all over. “God can’t love you any less, just behave anyhow, you’re okay”. Check our tenets of Faith, it’s been there from inception, God’s eyes are too holy to behold evil. “Why is this not working?” You have to maintain a strong spiritual stand for any spiritual instrument to be delivered in your hand. Church Gist. You cannot be faking it and not know and you cannot be facing it and not know. Now, we have waves of Bible translations of all kinds. Some of them, you won’t even believe that it’s the Bible that they are talking about, they are talking about something else. Many Scriptures have been grossly watered down and people seem to enjoy it because they cover all their areas of challenges. Church Gist. You can do nothing against the truth but for the truth. Let’s settle for the truth, let’s maintain a strong personal work with God, it’s a way to see God’s Word come to pass in our lives from time to time.
We are in the days of uncontrolled additions and subtractions to the Word. Revelation 22:18-19.
– no one shall be a victim here.
The good news is, with a right spiritual positioning, what you’re taking from here today will start speaking in your life for life.
– it will start speaking in your life for life in the name of Jesus Christ.
As I close, beware of hypocrisy. Posing to be doing what one is not doing. There is no future for the hypocrite in the Kingdom. Church Gist. Matthew 5:37. Job 34:29-30. We saw Christ was proclaiming woes on hypocrites, let’s be warned.
-My prayer is that the virtue reserved for you for today shall not be wasted!
– by the strange hand of God, we have seen the dead brought back to life through prophetic mantle, nothing dies in and around you anymore from this service.
A young child was suffering from epilepsy for 10 years, came into one of those services, held the mantle and that ended it there.
– in the name of Jesus, every evil spirit tormenting anyone’s life, as you lay hold on this mantle today, they are gone off you forever!
One of my sons was out on one of those ill-fated flights, Ethiopian flights in 1996 and had his mantle on his neck when the plane was misbehaving in the air. Church Gist. The plane broke to two in front of him, he was the only survivor without a scratch, God exempted him. It’s not a ritual, it’s a magic wand, it’s a Power conveyor.
– today, that power that will exempt you from all evil will be delivered into your hand.
Someone went to a store and smote all his goods that have not been selling for so long with the mantle, the following day, they came in and cleared up everything.
– whatever the enemy has sat on on your life, as you engage this prophetic mantle on your correct spiritual positioning, it shall deliver in your life.
– Everything works here. From this service, everything will start working in your favour.
– We have never suffered a downward trend in 42 years, from today onwards, no more setback for you.
In spite of our enemies, God has gone to prepare a table before us and our cup has kept running over. Church Gist. So the enemy don’t need to die, they should be there to see it.
– from today, no enemy shall have negative impact on your life anymore!
We have never borrowed, we have never begged and yet, we have never lacked.
– grace to position yourself in the covenant of abundance, the way this Church has been in 42 years, receive it now in the name of Jesus.
We were in that prayer meeting and God said to me, from Psalm 34:5, He said, “my son, you have two eyes, can you make one to look up and one to look down?” I tried and He said, “anytime you’re looking up to man, never come to look up to me. But if you fix your eyes on me, you will never be ashamed”. Church Gist. September 6, 1983, from that date till I go to Heaven, I don’t have who to look to Sir, except God. I refuse to look at myself for anything that God says to do, I look up to Him alone and I’ve never been put to shame.
– from this day, grace to remain connected to God under all circumstances, receive it right now!
The good news is this: every grace traceable to this commission… Every apostolic grace is ordained to be freely given. Matthew 10:8. So it is freely available but people are not connected to the flow. It is freely available. All I saw in Hagin that I desired, I began to see them in my life. Church Gist. All I saw in T. L. Osborne, Kenneth Copeland, I began to see. Just get connected genuinely; don’t fake it. It flows naturally – no appeal, no struggle. All I saw in E. A. Adeboye began to flow in my life. It is faking it that has brought us to where we are. We fake too many things. Shout halleluyah in Church and then on the street, “I don’t understand what they are doing in that Church at all.” You can’t get anything there – you can’t get nothing there.
I’ve not been one place in my life that Hagin was maligned and I stayed there – I can’t survive! The atmosphere is poisonous for me. I’ve never been somewhere where they brought down Benson Idahosa, E. A. Adeboye, Copeland and I settled? No, That’s my connectivity! I’m connected; I don’t want the flow broken. Church Gist. You better watch your life. Today see what God is doing there with the Ark project. It is the largest Church sanctuary facility on the Earth today. See how relaxed you are as a member of this Church.
– The greatest events of your life shall be without tension!
Can I harass the devil a bit? All the escalators, the travelators, most of them have arrived, others are on their way coming. All the air conditioning issues, most of them have arrived, the rest are coming. Now, the roof is already there, the factory is there, they are about to start fabricating. Church Gist. Everything is there! Now, without stress, without begging, without cutting corners, without begging anybody, in the name of Jesus, the same grace upon this commission will find way into your life.
As I close, there are specific graces placed upon specific Churches. Paul the Apostle speaking about the Macedonian Church – 2 Corinthians 8:1-7. So there are graces deposited on certain Churches. Church Gist. That Church has unusual giving grace at work in them and the effect is (evident). 2 Corinthians 9:8. They had all sufficiency in all things by the grace at work in them. There’s a grace of abundance here.
– May that grace find expression in your life!
You can’t do what we do and not see what we see. So get connected. 1 Thessalonians 2:14. The grace to overcome temptations, persecution, was at work in that Church. Psalms 65:4. So every ministry has the goodness of God reserved in them. Church Gist. All we are saying here today is: connect with the ones here. Don’t be a theoretical member of this Church. Be a genuine partaker of the grace of God that is at work here and you will be glad you did.
– The good news is between now and next annual liberation service there shall be no evil report from your quarters!
– All the eyes that see today will be there that time! You will not only be there, you will be there in your multiplied form.
The starting point for accessing any grace in the Kingdom is New birth. Gifts and endowment are of no value to the dead. John 3:5. But we have so watered it down today that people don’t even know the difference between born again and not being born again. Acts 3:19-21. Church Gist. New birth is not by just making proclamations – REPENT! Conversion – Let there be an inward change as you commit your soul to Jesus and then a time of refreshing will come to validate it. Many have never experienced that time of refreshing and yet they claim to have repented – it’s not genuine. A time of refreshing usually attends to genuine repentance. Genuine repentance will bring about conversion, conversion will connect you and me to a time of refreshing. Romans 14:17. They call it the Joy of Salvation – time of refreshing always validates genuine repentance. Don’t assume, don’t appropriate it. Until there is a time of refreshing there is no genuine repentance. Don’t go there, “Lord thank you, now I’m saved. You’re my Lord, you’re my God.” Some catch it there, some don’t know the meaning. Church Gist. They go back same to what they were doing there before – nothing has changed. 2 Corinthians 5:17. You’re not back in depression any more, no, something has entered you through conscious repentance not appropriated repentance.
It’s never late to be right. It’s better late than never. February 19, 1969 I gave my life to Jesus – sweet. Church Gist. I devoured Matthew, Mark, Luke, John in 3 months like a ravenous wolf. God’s word was so tasty to me. The effect is here today.
– In the precious name of Jesus, whatever presents itself as salvation that is not salvation, today you are free from it!
I can tell you this: when you are born again, you are born an overcomer in a world of challenges.
– In the name of Jesus, today will be that day in your life!
ALTAR CALL:
PROPHETIC MANTLE MINISTRATION;
Everyone lift up your two hands to heaven and express your desperation today with the prophetic mantle. Begin to express your desperation. Psalms 63:1. I want to see Your power in my life today, Your power through this mystery has raised the dead before, let everything dead in my life bounce back to life. Church Gist. It has opened impossible doors before, let impossible doors be opened to me by this mystery. It has wrought strange works and strange acts of God in the lives of many before, it must work in my life today. Thank You LORD in Jesus precious name, we have prayed! Acts 19:11- 12. Who did? So, the credit is not to Paul, is to God. Every torment of evil spirit on anyone’s life, family, destiny, health, as this mantle gets to you, they depart from you forever. They go out of you forever! Instant healings! Instant deliverances at the instance of this prophetic mantle in the name of Jesus. May this prophetic mantle mark you out as a winner indeed!
No evil report shall be heard from your quarters, between now and the next year’s liberation service, it shall be good report only in the name of Jesus. Everyone called barren is now declared fruitful! Everyone carrying a business spell, a career spell is now liberated. Everyone carrying a marital spell is now set free in the name of Jesus. The battle over your life is now over. You shall sing your new song. Church Gist. Now, watch, the LORD said to me “Behold I have touched your tongue with the coal of fire and from henceforth as you say it, you will see it.” I didn’t touch myself, He touched me, now, every word proclaimed in your direction today, I decree wholesale delivery! With established spiritual stand, I decree wholesale delivery! No one here shall be an onlooker in this commission anymore! No one shall be an onlooker in this commission anymore! I declare you a bonafide partaker of the grace here. Paul the Apostle said “Ye are all partakers of my grace.” So, it has no limit of how many can partake of it. The whole Church! Philippians 1:7. Every grace of God at work in my life, I freely release them to you through this prophetic mantle. Receive that now in the name of Jesus.
Listen to me, I have never had any issue obeying what God says, it soothes me. From now, I decree by this prophetic mantle, grace for delightsome obedience to what God tells you in your privacy as you study His Word, as you listen to His Word, receive it from this mantle. Church Gist. No guesswork work here!
One of my sons was in Sierra Leone and I said “Get out of that city now!” He left at about 3 or 2 O’clock, the rabbles invaded that house looking for him to kill him- he was our missionary.
