LIVING THE LIFE OF GOD; subtopic: ‘Walking In Love’. 1 John 4:8. God is not prayers, God is not fasting, God is not signs and wonders but God is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13. Charity is love. In the New Testament, the word ‘charity’ is also love. He said for all virtues, love is the greatest, it is greater than faith and hope. Nothing you do will profit you in the Kingdom of God without love. Love is the greatest of all spiritual virtues. Church Gist. Love is God’s nature and it is a spiritual connectivity to Him. It is what connects you to God because that is His nature because two cannot walk together except they are agreed. Amos 3:3. God’s nature is what? Love. So to walk in love, you are walking in God. 1 Corinthians 2:9. When you are truly in love, you become supernaturally connected to divinity.
What is love in this context?
What is love? Because many of us don’t know what love is. I’m sure before you even came to Church, you said to somebody: ‘I love you’. True? Okay! Many of us don’t know what love is. How many are married? Church Gist. How many want to marry? I’m sure, nobody is a gay here. Now, I’m gonna show you in this Second Service those of us who are married and those who want to get married what love is. Most times what we call love is not love. Are you getting what I’m saying? In the process I will show it to you, glory to God. What is love in this context?
1. It is to put God first.
Matthew 22:37-39. If you say you love then you must put God first.
Declarations: I’ll put God first in all my affairs.
2. It is to make His Kingdom a priority.
Matthew 6:33. ‘Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and every other things shall be added unto you’. Church Gist. What Jesus meant was for you to seek first the advancement, expansion and promotion of the Kingdom of God in righteousness without faking it. That’s what it means to love God then things the world is dying for shall be added unto you.
How can I know I’m putting God first?
a. Be a soul winner
If you are not a soul winner you are not putting God first. 2 Peter 3:9. Luke 14:26-27. Church Gist. Come to the point where you place God and what He loves above all else including self. God loves soul winning.
3. Love people.
One of the proofs of love is to love people. Matthew 22:37-39. Mark 12:30-31. I’m going to read; these are the proofs of somebody who loves. Every married person listen to this part I’m going to read now and take them one after the other. Even if you are not married, this Scripture is for you as a child of God. Church Gist. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (AMP). If you say you love, you will be patient with the person. Anybody you are not patient with, you don’t love the person. Love is kind and thoughtful, take note. Every love, you will be kind to the person, you will think of the person, you will not think of yourself alone. It (Love) is not jealous. Do you know there are people who are jealous of others, even husband and wife? You will never be jealous, you will never be envious!
Jealousy is a sign that you don’t understand love, envy is a sign that you don’t understand love. Love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. 1 Corinthians 13:3 (AMP). Every man you see who talks big does not understand love. If you see some people in Church the way even em dey move, the pride is overflowing. You see it! They are so arrogant, they are so proud because they don’t understand what? Love. There are people they would never relate with, they say: ‘That guy, he doesn’t belong to my class’. Which class do you belong to? Church Gist. God came down from Heaven to your own level, you, you can’t come down to people’s level. He will say: ‘Why do you like joking with all these boys’. Who? ‘No!!! Don’t joke with them, you should maintain your class’. Class what? Jesus came from Heaven to your level, you now, small appointment they give you, you say: ‘I don’t like talking to all these boys in the Church, I won’t even belong to that Service group because of the kind of people there’. Who are you? What do you have? You don’t understand what? Love.
1 Corinthians 13:5 (AMP). It is not rude, did you hear that? It is not self-seeking. Take note! You are always thinking of yourself because you don’t love. Every small thing you are angry, you don’t love. Every small thing, you are angry! People will always wrong you, ‘You did this the last time’, you don’t understand love. I don’t have syllabus for previous records. 1 Corinthians 13:6 (AMP). Did you see the qualities? When they deal with somebody you don’t keep quiet. I Corinthians 13:7 (AMP). Church Gist. There is no faultless person, so you will look at the strength of the person, you don’t look at the weakness of the person because everybody has something. If he is good in dressing your bed, he is not good in preparing food. Look at the good part of the dressing bed and then help the person in preparing food. Don’t say: ‘No’! The only weakness is what you see, the other good quality should overshadow the other weakness. Are you getting what I’m talking about? He’s good in washing but he’s not good in bathing, help him. If a woman leaves her husband when he’s passing through a challenge, she never loved him. And many women leave their husbands when there is small challenge and some men too leave their wives when there is small challenge.
Do you know many men divorce their wives once the woman has small health challenge? 1 Corinthians 13:7 (AMP). He lost a job one year, the whole world has known that your husband lost job, everywhere you go, ‘The man yeye oo, yeye man, I’m the one providing for the children. I am the one paying the school fees’. When he was paying the school fees did anybody hear? Only one year he has not been able, you have announced to your neighbours, you have announced to your father, you have announced to your mother. ‘He knows that I’m the one feeding the house’. I pity men too who depend on women’s money. If a woman gives you food one day, the whole country will hear. ‘I’m the one feeding him, useless man’.
1 Corinthians 13:8 (AMP). All of you who want to marry, before you marry read these verses (1 Corinthians 13:1-8 AMP). See whether you can give those attributes to the next person otherwise don’t go into marriage. Are you hearing me? Because the husband or wife you marry will not be Mr. Perfect. Never! No perfect person, not one. If you want to find fault every human being has fault including you who is a fault finder. Even the Apostles had their own faults, Peter was hot-tempered, Paul was an argumentator, Philip – doubter, Thomas – chief doubter but Jesus loved them all. Church Gist. There is nobody who is perfect including you. Some of you, the way you eat some persons will not be able to eat. You eat and make noise with your mouth yet somebody loves you. It’s not that ‘I love you, I love you’, He says, it does not think evil of the next person. You stand when the person is going through challenges. You know why I’m preaching all these? Do you know that period they carried fake news about me? I knew Men of God who stepped aside. How many of you know the story? When they carried their frame-up, some Men of God that I know just stood aside, they said: ‘Make I know whether em go survive’. I laughed! Some did not call me oo, it was after the thing was over they said: ‘Man of God I didn’t know oo’. I said: ‘Look at you, deceive yourself, you didn’t know, it was on the internet’. But I have always been concerned about other Men of God’s problems, I go all out. That’s why God has a way too of showing me His mercies. 1 John 4:20-21.
Tell your neighbour: ‘Before you marry, read where we read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Amplified oo not King James so that it is not small thing you shout: ‘Gbagbagba’!!! Your wife sleep snoring, the whole compound is hearing it, you have recorded it. ‘This my wife she go snore like this I no go fit sleep, your own wife? You no dey snore? You say: ‘I no go fit sleep with my wife oo, she dey snore too much’. When you love you won’t remember the snoring. 1 John 4:20-21. How many of you love God? You love God? Then what are you saying about the person close to you? Even though he says: ‘I just bought a new car’, ‘For what? Church Gist. Car wey go get accident! Na this one go come buy car? Thief’! My greatest secret is what I’m preaching: I walk in love. I don’t preach love; I walk in love, I live love. With all humility before God, there is no Pastor today on earth who treats Pastors the way I treat Pastors, not one. Tell me one Pastor who will now give houses to even some wey I know they don’t love me. Do you think every Pastor working with me loves me? It’s a lie! But I still love them. Jesus knew that Judas hated Him but He loved Him. Somebody left this Ministry, that I know that with anger, I gave him 10 million with his Jeep. I said: ‘O boy! Take 10 million go start any life wey you want start’. 10 million oo no be 10 naira. Person wey dey go, wey vex dey go. I said: ‘Take your Jeep dey go, I dash you the Jeep’, if there is another thing there I for dash am. You know why nobody can fight me? When I show you love you fight me, you are in trouble. Love is the strongest weapon, when you fight a lover you are fighting God. This life? How many years you go spend here? Then everything irritates you, everybody irritates you, small thing you go dey vex.
My birthday wey dey come now go dey vex you, you dey give me money. You go say: ‘Every time na em Papa go dey say make dem give him money’. And you say you love me? Do you know some people get angry in this Church? They say: ‘Papa, every time we go come dey give am money for this Church’ and when they come to me they will say: ‘Pastor, I never pay School fees oo’. But for my back you dey shout oo, na your money? Before who dem go give no be me be their Pastor? Some people get angry oo, you don’t know? I’ve seen somebody who got angry maybe that’s why the person too na em know why em commot. Church Gist. He said ‘Papa, I think that instead of giving you offering they should put a box’. So I asked: ‘They don give you something? Your husband na Government Commission, they don give am something before em throway am? She said: ‘Papa why you dey talk am’. I said I bought cars for Pastors, people were angry in this Church they said: ‘No! Pastor it’s not good you buy them cars, some of them will be arrogant’. I said: ‘If they want to be arrogant, let them be arrogant, they should use bicycle to come to work’? I said: ‘You, Government official, they bought you car, Pastor should trek’? She said: ‘No! You know Pastors should grow’. I just saw the bitterness and anger that Pastors are driving good cars. Do you know some people get angry? Not you oo, some people get very angry. If your Pastor dey ride bicycle you no go run? Won’t you say: ‘Pastor what is happening’? You know that some people that’s what they like. ‘The coming up Pastors, we are going to help you’, e no go help any of us, God will help you! Love!! Let there be love in Tokyo (Laughing). Love tonic!!
Benefits of loving.
1. You manifest the fullness of God.
When you walk in love everything about God just flows through you. Ephesians 3:19. Church Gist. When a man walks in love you just carry the fullness of God. Where you go, God goes. Where you sleep, God sleeps.
2. You become failure-proof.
1 Corinthians 13:8 (AMP). Lovers can’t fail.
-Today marks the end of you failing!
Love never fails because God is love and that is what makes love a failure-proof virtue.
3. Love makes you fearless and indestructible.
Deuteronomy 9:3. God is a consuming fire and fire consumes fire so when you are walking in love, God is a consuming fire and the nature of fire is in you. So love is His nature. Anything that wants to consume you God will destroy, God consumes it. 1 John 4:18. Church Gist. Those who walk in love don’t fear anything. You don’t see the way I talk? If I talk you can see the strange unction, you walk in love you walk in God. I am fearless, it’s not because of how my chest is, it’s because of the love of God.
4. Guarantees instant answers to prayers.
1 John 3:22-23.
When you are a lover, before you open your mouth ‘Pam’, God answers you. See Solomon in 1 Kings 3:3. Before he will ask for money, God has answered him.

Declarations: I will love.
Walk in love by putting God first, making God’s Kingdom your priority and learning to love people. You cannot pretend to say you love God when you don’t love the people you see. When last did you pay School fees for somebody? When last did you share the small food you had? When last did you give somebody a good clothes? I don’t mean the rags you don’t want to wear, good good clothes! The boys working with me in the studio, of recent I just said: ‘Bring out all my things’. I have given close to 30 of them all the young men, I don’t give them something that was tired oo fresh things, I don’t give people what I don’t want to wear: ‘Bring it! No’! I gave the Men of God two suits, suits worth 6000 dollars per one, I just gave it to them. Not the one you will not wear oo, you don’t know where to throway it, you now say: ‘Bring’! ‘Nna, this shoe, I no go wear this one again oo, bring all the shoes wey I no go wear, no’! That’s not it, you can give those ones but also give what you can wear that’s how you will know. Are you getting what I’m talking about? Not when you are tired of something, it is the one you are tired that even rag it will not be used for. Church Gist. One day somebody brought something for sacrifice, when I carried the suit. I said: ‘This person brought this? Even a madman will not wear this suit. Come on throw them away’. We threw them away oo if you see the coat – the odour, smelling, dirty. I said: ‘Hey! You want to give God this kind, who go come wear this one? Even a beggar you give am sef beggar go say: ‘Na this one you wan give me? This one because I dey beg’. I said: ‘Throw away this thing into dustbin abeg. Nobody go fit wear am’. And some of you will say: ‘These are the clothes that I have, I want people to wear them’. Thank you, you don see people wey no get anything.
Declarations: Love! Don’t just send text as love, practicalize love.
Now if you understand love you will never divorce both the man and woman. Do you know there are women who are rich who will never buy their husbands one thing even stockings they will not buy because we will always talk about men! Some women are stingy to a fault, you will see your husband has no money you no go fit bring small money, some women are stingy oo. You know in this Church, I talk more about the men, most women are stingy and selfish, very selfish. Okay your husband has been giving you, you, is it written anywhere that you cannot buy him something? You are seeing a man struggling you cannot bring out your money to help him but you are doing hair, you are doing and moving like peacock up and down. Are you hearing what I’m saying? When you love you don’t care. Ask my wife, I will buy something she go vex she go say: ‘My husband, I don warn you oo no buy this thing’. I go say: ‘No vex even if you no like am take am like that’. She go say: ‘Next time you buy am…’. One time I bought her a jewelry she sent the jewelry back, she didn’t know I knew but because of love I kept quiet. Till tomorrow, she will not know how I knew because I’m a Man of God. Church Gist. I didn’t see the jewelry on her neck, I said: ‘This woman no like those jewelry, she no take am’. Love! I’ve bought bag before she took and said: ‘Every time I don warn you no buy bag again’ and me I love bags as a person I love bags, when I go again I will look for another bag. I said: ‘Even if you no like am use am like that, just use am’. Love! If you no love, your wife will say she does not like bags, you go say: ‘Thank you! God, thank you! Thank you abeg, you no kukuma like the thing wey I buy, so next time when you go, you say: She say she no like wetin I buy so I no dey buy again’. You know? It does not keep record. That is what love is, not this one we sing in Church: 🎶 I love you Lord 🎶 Then inside the same choir, the next person carry microphone she say, I no go back am up.
Declarations: I will give expression to love as I walk in the fullness of God.
You know when you walk in love you walk in the fullness of God. Anywhere you appear, God appears. When you approach anywhere the doors are opened. It’s so powerful! Many think that it is 40 days fasting. Let me tell you: ’40 days fasting cannot do what love will do because fasting is not God’s nature’. Where did you hear that God fasted? Church Gist. God is not of faith. There is nowhere they said: ‘God of faith’. Your faith makes Him to act but God is love. So when you walk in love you carry the nature of God that’s why some of us don’t struggle to manifest God. It’s not because of how rigorous we fast but the nature of God. Church Gist. Between David and Isaiah, who should get more results? Isaiah in the natural but David had more results, true? You know why? David loved God more than Isaiah. He was only a Prophet, there was nowhere he went an extra mile for God, true?
As powerful as Elijah, God never referred to him, it’s only in prayer but He referred to David. When Jesus came, He didn’t say: ‘Son of Elijah but He said: Thou son of David’, love! They said: ‘Pray like Elijah’! They didn’t say: ‘Son of Elijah’. The love David had was too much, you know why? David was at the highest of the pinnacle of power and then he was going to Church. He said: ‘Three times a day do I pray, seven times do I praise’. So ten times he had time for God, God said: ‘This is a man after my heart’. Church Gist. You know when you are poor it is easy to come close to God but when you are rich… Do you see even the small small politicians how they come to Church? They just come, they just come late, very late, because of small what? Small money. They come late most of them, they come even late, they don’t even officiate, they don’t do anything but you know? The ones who are looking for something you stay some three, four, five pray like this. Now when you get money we go know whether you love God. So David had so much money but God said: ‘This man loves Me’. Because in spite of all the weaknesses he is a man after my heart.
Romans 5:5. So you have love already, give it expression. I don’t need to struggle now to express my love to somebody, I knew a Man of God who hated me from his bladder and I told my driver. Take this new car, go and give to him, my driver was shaking. He said: ‘Sir, to which man? This man wey no like you’? I said: ‘Shut up! Take the car to him, new car tear rubber Range Rover, clean. I said: It’s love’. One day Men of God came, the three of them who came, they came with cars that I gave to them, heavy cars not cars I’ve used as second-hand oo, tear rubber’! Church Gist. I gave a Man of God a car that today is sold for 220 million. You know what love is? You think love is preaching? I don’t preach love, I practice love, that is my greatest secret! You don’t know my secret until you know how I love. If I don’t love you, you think I will pray for you the way I pray for you? You have the Spirit of God, the way I pray for you is it how ordinary person pray. No! Some people pray: ‘Father in the name of Jesus, if they like make dem dey blessed if they no like make dem go’. When I pray for you God sees my heart, I pray from here (my belly).

-Whatever blessing love virtue carries, I decree receive it now.
-I decree because of the love of God, everyone under the reach of my voice, whatever is your heart desires is granted in the name of Jesus! If He gave you Jesus, He will give you healing, He will give you fruitfulness, He will give you breakthrough, He will sign your documents.
-Every document anywhere you have submitted is approved in your favour in the name of Jesus.
-Because of love, I declare in the name of Jesus, this shall be to you a season of remembrance.
-Whatever you are struggling to get before this week is over, it is released in the name of Jesus.
-Anything stopping you, God will stop it! Whatever you are asking God for, not tomorrow this moment all are released to you.
-You will go home and hear good news! Your body is perfect, your health is restored!
-Your children going back to school tomorrow, they will be the best in their academics!
-Be blessed in the name of Jesus! The hardship in the land where you are will not affect you, you will be exempted! As I’ve decreed, so shall it be!
-To everyone sick, I command by the virtue of the fullness of God, that sickness leaves you right now! That disease is destroyed!
