Something interesting and most profound about our God is that He changes not. His ways are the same. Nothing changes outside the word. The word is the trigger for man’s desired supernatural change. He sent His word to Jacob and he became a nation. He sent His word to Abraham and turned him from a nobody to a generational blessing. A word is all it takes. Any believer that won’t open his heart to the word can’t see changes. Church Gist. As we behold Him through His word we are changed from glory to glory. His word is a glass. You don’t connect with the word, you are not a candidate for change Sir. You can be a most powerful pastor, if you don’t engage the word you can’t see change. God is no respecter of persons. He doesn’t look like a man looks. Outside the word, no believer qualifies for a change of story. Not just the word found, the word believed, the word applied. In this opportune season of change of story, no one here will miss his place.
Finding the word is what we Charismatics celebrate, Revelation! Revelation!! Revelation not believed will never become a manifestation. Revelation believed and not applied will not become a testimony. So let’s wake up, if the word can’t change your approach then nothing will. When that prophetic word came, the Lord stirred them and they began to engage and their beauty was restored. Everyone’s lost beauty shall be recovered this time. Church Gist. My prayer is that no one goes through this season without an outstanding story to tell. A story of infallible proofs. If you are arguing against prosperity and you come here and still argue then you are blind. They are not borrowing, they are not harassing anybody, they are not preaching to people’s pockets yet they are prospering. Let’s listen to what they are talking about.
Father confirm your word again tonight. Speak to our hearts as individuals. Let your word change our approach. Let it change the quality of our walk with you in Jesus name we have prayed.
I like you to be set for your word of change. We are already amid the 40 days post-resurrection appearance of Christ. One valid proof is encounters with the word of the kingdom. Acts 1:3. It is not some angel flapping wings. It is an encounter with the word about your place in the Kingdom. Watch out for it. We are trading one thing in this place, faith and action in the living word. Church Gist. Faith validated by action in the living word and God turned them into manifestation time and again, 41 years unabated. May you never treat any revelation from heaven to you with levity. God has no other way of reaching you. He shows you His word and if you are interested believe it and apply it and trust me to confirm it.
How many know they have been redeemed as stars after the order of Christ? How many know what they have to do for that star to shine? How many are doing what they know? Walk in the light of the word and you will outshine your generation. Isaiah 60:1-8, Daniel 12:3. There is no guesswork here. Do you want to be listed among the stars? One simple instruction – get addicted to turning men to righteousness. Your star will be shining from one grade to another because one star exceeds another in glory. You keep growing and you are now over two villages, next five cities, next one state and you keep growing, next one nation, next four nations, next West Africa, next Africa, next two continents because one star exceeds another in glory. Where is your star? He is not a Father Christmas God, you will cry from now till tomorrow if you don’t do what He said you should do. The scriptures can’t be broken. You can’t move God against His word. It is settled in heaven forever. “Oh God make me a star” He doesn’t make stars that way. Find out what makes a star and engage it and your star will start rising from one grade of glory to another. Until you answer the faith question you can’t be healed. You receive your healing according to your faith, not according to the anointing of the person praying for you. Jesus laid hands on them and there was nothing, He marvelled at their unbelief. Church Gist. You can’t receive healing for free. You may fall down, but that doesn’t mean you are healed. It is important to settle down and find out your side of every revelation so you don’t live in frustration. Find out your side. Now you are a giver but you are always talking lack, so your tongue is killing your harvest. “Things are hard in Nigeria now, nobody can build a house unless he is a thief” okay go and steal. “I don’t have anything in heaven and on earth” and he is a tither. A giver with no account in heaven. You won’t see your harvest because you are not conscious of your side of the deal. Somebody has heard it over again and has said “God that is the only thing I won’t do, tell me another thing. It’s not enough for me to now remove tithe from it, you are not hungry so what is my problem. Excuse me from that one”. Let me tell you this: you can’t taste prosperity by the hand of God if you are not a giver. Not pity seeking prosperity, genuine prosperity. You can’t taste it. It is not about your business size, it is not about your salary, it’s about your covenant stand. He said whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper, whether he is a carpenter or a pepper seller.
Signs and wonders are the manifestations of applied revelation. It’s revelation applied that God confirms into a sign and a wonder. Exodus 4:17. You do what the word says to command signs. There is nothing mystical about commanding signs and wonders. Just apply yourself to the demands of the word with faith and you commit God to confirm His word with signs. Our topic today is COMMANDING THE SUPERNATURAL. It is so practical, there is nothing mystical about it, it is so real. Just imagine that you do half of what you have learnt here.
I never learnt from anyone under heaven about corporate prosperity, Jesus walked to my room in Sheraton Hotel, on September 4th 1987, the tithe that Abraham paid was not his personal tithe. It was the tithe of his company that went to war. They were 318 and Abraham as Commander in Chief paid the tithe of that company. The prosperity of that tithe is still in Israel today. Every organization, company, institution including Churches can come under my prosperity agenda by tithing. I have read quite a few materials on prosperity before and I have never seen that. By the grace He gave me, I jumped the Church into it. We were not worth one million as a Church worldwide when I saw that. You know we are a bit more than 1 million now. No lack around here. Anybody who says we are owing him let him bring the paper. Church Gist. Ask any bank in this country. Both the ones that have died and the ones that are still alive. We have never taken an overdraft. Please apply yourself to the word with delight. The day I will stand here to deceive you in the name of God, I will go to heaven the day before. Deceive you to get what? Support? I am not looking for votes and I can never look for votes. I am already voted. I have an election of grace on my life and you have it too. My prayer is that nobody will treat God’s word with levity again. It is not to God’s advantage, it is to your advantage. Obeying God adds nothing to God. God doesn’t need peace, He doesn’t need joy He laughs only. He that sitteth in heaven laughs like you breathe air. That’s how your joy will become. How does it come about? Jeremiah 15:16. To eat means to apply or to engage with. The good news tonight is that your story has changed.
We look at two factors that we engage in commanding the supernatural
- The Name Of Jesus
It is not Mary who named Jesus, it is not Joseph who names Jesus. Luke 1:35. When God names a name, no devil can disname it. He now bestowed authority on that name. Philippians 2:10-11. He gave Him the name. Romans 11:29. Every gift of God is ordained to be forever when we remain on God’s side. Jesus was always on God’s side. He did what always pleased God. That gift is eternally potent to deliver whatever you and I will ever need. You saw the man called Elisha, he died and was buried. They threw a dead body into his sepulchre when they saw the enemy coming and the body touched the dry bones of Elisha and somersaulted back to life. 2 Kings 13:20. Church Gist. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance. How much more are the gifts bestowed on Christ. How much more the gifts upon Christ, it is still as potent today as the day it was conferred on Him. So you can count on that name to subdue the forces of the wicked that are out to make life unbearable for you. Hagin said he gave us the power of the attorney to use his name. We have the legal rights to it in redemption. We can invoke that name to clear obstacles off our path and take hold of what belongs to us.
The prophecy said his name shall be called Wonderful. His name is pregnant with wonders. You engage that name, you have triggered wonders. Acts 3:6, 16. So there is so much in the name of Jesus. Therefore in the name of Jesus Christ, no one who came here with any disease is permitted to return with it. Anyone appointed to death by any medical verdict, that verdict is reversed in Jesus name.
The disciples were too conscious of the potency of wonders that name carries. Acts 4:30-33. The name of Jesus is self-anointed. It carries an inbuilt anointing to deliver our desires. Songs of Solomon 1:3. When you say in the name of Jesus Christ, you are spraying that unction on that situation. Just like you spray your insecticides. When you spray it, viruses, sicknesses and diseases just collapse like mosquitoes. I was telling you that all this noise about Coro was just the noise of the devil, now they have cancelled all the laws that you must wear a mask. We were not part of that global fold because we didn’t have it before. It is not right that one virus sent the whole world into their houses, what if four came at the same time? Church Gist. There is so much power in the name of Jesus that it stays clear of your family, your home, and your business. Nobody can convince me that some fellow didn’t want to make money out of that thing. Nobody can convince me that it wasn’t targeted against the Church. The Church was growing stronger. Unusual expansion. Aren’t you glad that they have removed the inconvenience from your nose?. The Lord said I should ask you to remove it a long time ago. Somebody is free. If one billion viruses enter the earth, the Church of Christ will still be untouched. Before each plague, He separated Israel. You must have an exemption mentality, you are not part of the wrath. Thank you, Jesus. There is mighty power in the name of Jesus. The moment Christ is up to it in your thinking and your spirit man, the deal is sealed. All satanic powers cannot stand against the authority of the name. That is heaven’s verdict. Philippians 2:10. So you carry such tremendous authority on your tongue as a Child of God. Proverbs 18:10. You have a heavy covering over the name in the name of Jesus. You can’t forget that one, you don’t have to refer to any scripture. Just know what that name is worth and then you are in command.
To see the raw hand of God demands that you are on the go for Jesus. That power delivers maximally for people on the go for Jesus. Mark 16:16-20. Be part of this. You met a young chap that has been in a cult group since secondary school. He has matured in it and is number 3 in it. A woman walked there and said follow me and he followed. That is power. Church Gist. He sat down and gave his life to Christ and God reformed him, dignity restored. She was on the go, authority followed her. That man won’t follow you for any reason except God moves him. There is the story of someone who was addicted to drugs and a little girl said to him “Come”. He didn’t come, she kept disturbing him and he came finally and gave his life to Christ. You can’t see the power without being on the go.
- The Power of Testimonies
Hebrews 6:12
Listen to testimonies of those who have inherited certain promises that are interesting to you. Find out what they did for it to happen, you want it? Line up with it. There are no private testimonies in the kingdom. Testimonies are prophetic. Revelation 19:10. Every act of God in the lives of his people is a prophetic pointer to what is available if you are interested. Psalm 119:111. Every testimony is a pointer to your heritage.
Matthew 9:21-23, Matthew 14:36.
It is one testimony that moved the whole multitude to be looking for him and they got it after the same order. You heard that a 69-year-old gave birth to her first child “These are just fables” “you got a job without knowing anybody? In this country”. “You are not borrowing, how will you get your business to grow?” He has shut himself out of the pointers of his destiny. When I saw Church Growth in South Korea, I went full blast that the God who did it there will do it here. I have been riding on testimonies. Testimonies of Smith Wigglesworth gave me my authority over devils. You read negative meanings to testimonies, that is why they don’t work. Did you pray for four hours? All our agenda on our prayer guide can they use four hours to pray for them? Because he is not praying on his own he is only reading it. Jesus was praying one prayer point for three hours saying the same thing. That is fervency. Pressing until you are heard. Those who mock testimonies live with trials. Isaiah 28:21-22. Those who mock testimonies end up as mockeries. Every act of Jesus is prophetic and will deliver in the life of anyone who cares to believe it. You have heard too many testimonies, they must hear your own this time. Church Gist. Testimonies are spiritual seeds they have the ability to bring forth after their kind. Goliath fell by the arrow of testimonies. The power of testimony brought Goliath destiny. Your past testimony paves a way for your present victory today. You better key into the chariot of testimonies and make the most of your life. God who could rip off cancer of the mouth through preaching can take care of backache, and headaches. Somebody carried elephantiasis preaching and God healed the leg the same day. God never lies.
Nothing changes people’s stories like Favour from God. After 400 years of misfortune, He turned their story around in one day. He told Moses they won’t go empty, He will give them favour that will terminate their 400 year’s emptiness and He did. Exodus 3:21, 12:36. Church Gist. They never saw gold who would dash monkey banana but gold and silver became their luggage. Their captivity was turned into celebrity. By the favour of God this coming Sunday, God’s favour will rewrite many people’s stories. Favour does not just land upon anyone. Favour is consciously intreated, favour is provoked. Psalm 45:12. There is something that you engage with that triggers it. That key that keeps you perpetually under favour as this ministry has been for 41 years running will come upon your life.
