Christianity would be an adventure in frustration without actively engaging in value-adding endeavours in the kingdom, actively engaging in our various local assemblies, actively engaging in expanding the Kingdom of God. Church Gist. In seeing to the wellbeing of the kingdom of God in all its ramifications, that’s what makes this journey meaningful. Because no one knows the day or the hour when He shows up, it’s wisdom to stay occupied till He comes.
The King is come. Yes, He’s coming for rapture – agreed, but He’s always coming to appraise where we stand, to determine where next to place us.
- May He find us worthy of next levels whatever time He shows up. Can I hear your loudest Amen?
One of the Bible set parameters for His coming, the ultimate coming is that this Gospel of the Kingdom must be preached among all nations and then shall the end come. Church Gist. So, every investment in terms of time, energy and resources in driving the spread of the Gospel should call for our attention. Matthew 24:14.
God is doing amazing things in our country today. We have Nigerian missionaries in almost every part of the world today, by the act of grace, by divine visitation that we have been privileged to experience but too many more rivers to cross. Church Gist. The King is coming but we must get set for Him to come. He’s also coming for a triumphant Church, a sanctified Church, a raining Church. Church Gist. The King is coming, and so there must be a buildup and we only change level through service.
Now, listen to me, no one is eligible for promotion in any organization where he’s no longer in service. If you retire from the Army in Nigeria as a colonel, till you die, you’re still a colonel, ‘Colonel Rtd’. You can’t say because you’re now very old, then you’re now a general. No. Church Gist. The day you retire is when your promotion stops. Jesus is coming for men and women like nations. Isaiah 60:22. Psalm 87:1-7. But the platform for the rise of these giants is selfless, sacrificial stewardship in advancing the Kingdom of God.
1 Samuel 12:6. It was God that advanced Moses Aaron and who will God advance? Those who advance His kingdom. Church Gist. “Draw near my Kingdom, I’ll draw near to you, advance my Kingdom, I’ll advance you”. So, at the root of the rise of these giants is selfless, sacrificial, faithful and fruitful stewardship. This is so important.
- I pray that this Word will sink into our heart to take our position in the name of Jesus Christ.
Who is a servant of God? Anyone serving God and the interest of His Kingdom on the earth, young or old, male or female, with or without a title, is a servant of God. Romans 6:16. Church Gist. It has nothing to do with title. Just being Kingdom-driven, Kingdom-committed and engaging accordingly, you’re a servant of God. Serving God is neither a calling or a gift, it’s a choice, Joshua 24:15. It’s not a calling, it’s not an election, it’s not a gift, it’s simply a choice. Joshua 24:15. It’s a choice to make and it’s a choice for the wise. The interesting thing is that it’s an open ended choice. Church Gist. It’s as open as ‘open’ can be, no limits. There’s more than enough room for anybody who chooses to serve. In our various local assemblies, so much room for anybody who desires to serve. So much room. It’s a choice and it’s a choice of the wise. Job 36:11.
- My prayer is that all of us will make that choice and renew that choice today.
Serving God entitles believers to rewards that have no comparison on earth. Exodus 23:25-26. Church Gist. There’s no condition of service anywhere in the world that covers that, “I will take sickness away from you”, they’ll treat you for a while, if you’re not well, they’ll throw you out.
- Therefore, today, anyone that came in here with any kind of sickness or disease, you’re not going back home with it.
Your decision to serve God entitles you to healing, health and wholeness.
- Therefore, I decree, every torment and torture of sickness or diseases on anyone to vanish right now in the name of Jesus.
Exodus 23:26. There’s no job offer anywhere in the world that covers that. Church Gist. You can’t buy that in the market. Nothing in the world compares in rewards with serving God in truth and indeed.

No pre-qualification, you’re born again. John 15:16. So, everybody is called. 2 Corinthians 5:17-20. Church Gist. It’s everybody’s opportunity after being born again. It’s time to come away from our slumber and take our place in the kingdom, in the name of Jesus.
