AS EAGER AS GOD IS TO HEAR AND ANSWER PRAYERS, NOT MANY PEOPLE SEE ANSWERS TO THEIR PRAYERS.
THE DEEPER THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE WILL OF GOD YOU HAVE, THE STRONGER THE DIMENSION OF FAITH YOU’LL OPERATE IN AND THE STRONGER WILL BE THE FORCE OF YOUR PRAYER.
YOU DON’T BEG FOR POSSIBILITIES IF YOU ARE NOT LACKING IN RESPONSIBILITY.

-Pastor Paul Enenche on ‘FAITH AND PRAYER’
Preservation and Power Communion Service, Dunamis International Gospel Centre.

Father, we give You the praise, we give You the honour, we give You the adoration because You are God. In You we live, in You we move, in You we have our being. Thank You for the privilege of knowing You, thank You for the privilege of relationship. Thank You for all Your children here tonight and those connected on Dunamis Television, connected across the world, connected in all our locations tonight; we ask that not one person will leave here the same way they have come in the name of Jesus.
Speak to us, do something tangible in somebody’s life; be glorified in Jesus precious name!

Very quickly tonight, we’ll deal on the subject of faith still, which is the subject for the month. Tonight, it is:
FAITH AND PRAYER
Understanding the connection between faith and prayer, that is our objective tonight.
Mark 11:24, James 1:5-6.

I want to say by way of introduction, that we serve a prayer answering God (Psalm 65:2, Jeremiah 33:3, Psalm 18:3 John 16:24 Matthew 7:7-8, Hebrews 4:16). Every scripture here shows that God is a prayer answering God, but there is a second issue; as eager as God is to hear and answer prayers, not many people see answers to their prayers. Church Gist. God is eager to hear and God is eager to answer prayer but not many people see answers to their prayers.
Why?
Among other things, there is the challenge of faith; the faith component of prayer.

What has faith got to do with prayer? That’s where the message is tonight:
1). Faith involves the knowledge and understanding of the reality and reliability of God (Hebrews 11:6). So, at the place of prayer, it must be clear that God is real and that God is reliable.

2). Faith involves the revelation of the Word of God, that is; understanding God’s dealings and operations in Bible days (Romans 10:8, 17, Hebrews 11:32-34). Church Gist. So, at the place of prayer, when you pray in faith, you are aware that you are not dealing with a God who has not done it before. A. A Allen said, we know what God can do because we know what He did. If we are aware of what God did before, we can be convinced of what He’ll do now. So, faith involves an understanding of the reality and the reliability of the Almighty.

Yesterday, I saw a young man who was brought into the Service, mother and father held him while he could barely walk. They held him to come. In the course of the Healing Service yesterday, the power of God touched him and they didn’t need to hold him anymore, he could walk out by himself. That was the testimony he came out to testify about. But my heart flamed and I laid hands on him and violently, he stood up and ran up this altar and ran everywhere. Church Gist. I told somebody who was so shocked about that miracle, I said, that was A.A Allen operation; if you ever watched or got to know about the healing revival. So, faith happens when you know what God has done before, in Bible days, in history and you pray from the point of view, that God has done this and that before and He will do it again.

  • God is giving somebody a turnaround miracle tonight!
  • He’s giving you a change of story tonight!
  • Every paralysis in your life, tonight, that paralytical condition is over!

3). Faith involves the knowledge and understanding of the will of God regarding particular situations. That is, you are praying, you are not guessing.

You know God wants you healed; you know it is the will of God to be delivered (1 John 5:14-15, 3 John 1: 2). You are allocating scriptures that show you what God wants for you and so, your prayer is based, not just in what you need but what God wills for your life. God wants you to be well, free, be established, have supplies, be married and have children. So, the deeper the knowledge of God’s will you have, the stronger the realm of faith you’ll operate in and the stronger will be the force of your prayer. Church Gist. You know prayer had different levels of force. There are times even God will reveal His will to you in the revelation of the night, like this site, God showed it in the vision, revelation of the night and I sent the young man to go to the Airport Road on so and so site and look for the land for the Church. So, when the will of God is known, prayer ceases to be a struggle. When the will of God is known, faith is no longer an issue.

4). Faith involves praying with conviction and confidence that your requests shall be answered. Say it in another; it is praying from a victory point of view. You are not praying from a defeat point of view (Mark 11:24). Church Gist. There is no need to pray if you don’t believe. Don’t pray about anything if you don’t believe it will be answered, because it won’t be answered.

There are so many people, for them, prayer is more like guess work; “let me try, maybe God will answer.” No, when you pray, believe. If you don’t believe, no need to pray. So, it is praying from a victory vantage point. Praying fully well that your Heavenly Father knows your need and He’s willing to meet them (Matthew 6:6-8, Philippians 4:19). That is, God is aware of what you came to ask. Then, why do we need to ask if He already knew what we needed?
a). To confirm our dependence.
b). To confirm our helplessness without Him.
c). To give Him the pleasure of being requested from. “Daddy, give me this makes fathers happy.” He knows, so you are praying from the position of “My Father knows what I am in need of, so I am not about to beg Him to do what I’m about to ask. He knows it before I came (Philippians 4:19).”

  • I announce to someone here today, something that is a concern in your heart now, before the next twenty-four hours, it shall become your testimony!

5). Faith involves praying from the position of spiritual responsibility. One of your strongest dimensions of faith is when you have done what God wants you to do and you are coming to ask Him what He says He will do, if you have done your part (John 15:16). So, you went out and brought forth fruits that remain, then you came to Him and say, “Father, You said if I bring forth fruit that remain, anything I ask of You, You will do. I am not asking for too much, I am asking for fresh fire (Exodus 23:25). Lord, I am serving You the best I know how in soul winning, Kingdom service, financial service; You say You will take sickness away from the middle of me, take this hypertension away.”

When you have discharged spiritual responsibility, you are connected to spiritual possibilities. You don’t beg for spiritual possibilities if you are not lacking in responsibility. That is why it appears some people are faster than others on this spiritual journey. No, they studied the scripture to know their role, so they played their role and God is playing His role.

I have not asked God for money, for maybe thirty years; “Lord, I need money.” You can ask my wife, we have been married for 28 years or when we’ve joined hands together and say, Father I need money. It’s not a prayer point. I do what brings the money. I do with God what He expects me to do; I discharge my responsibility and He ushers me into possibilities. Church Gist. You are seated in a church where you are not under any trace of pressure financially. There are places where you will be afraid of coming to church on Sunday because you don’t know the next offering; if you don’t bring, don’t come. You are fully relaxed at home; whether you gave offering, nobody is aware. If you didn’t give, nobody is aware. Even many times, the Pastor forgot to take offering. Then the Church members will be reminding him.

  • It’s a new day for you!
  • I announce to you today; anything you need to do for that prayer point of yours to be answered, God will reveal it to you!

6). Faith involves praising and praying and praying and praising.
What is the meaning of that?
You praised before the prayer, you praised in the course of the prayer, you praised while waiting for the results, you praised when the results came (Philippians 4:6-7, John 6:11, John 11:41, Psalm 106:12).

“I am not about to struggle with God. All the things I’ll ever need, God has provided. So, Father, I thank You for the crusade in Cameroon, I thank You for the drastic things You are going to do; the witches that will suffer and the wizards that will return back to hell and the powers of darkness that will be buried. Church Gist. Father, I thank You and I give You the praise. Be glorified Lord in the name of Jesus. So, now I make demands on fresh fire, fresh power for that crusade and then, I pray; thank You Lord because You have heard.”
You started with worship, you stepped into supplication, branch back into worship and the things are happening and you are worshipping. Do you remember the night of the crutches? That night, massive celebration that follows; God’s answer.

Many people pray as if they are quarreling: “Lord, why? Am I the only one? Why did you forget me? I’ve tried ooo, all this while, I’ve been believing you…”
No, let’s start with thanksgiving. After a while, the climate of your prayer is charged, so charged that when you release one word of prayer, it passes through principality limitation, dark cloud of witchcraft limitation and goes where the answers are needed and something changes in your life.

  • I announce to someone here, tonight is that night you’ve been waiting for!

Take the time to understand and know the God you serve, just know Him first; He’s the foundation for faith. Take the time to go through scripture and know who God is and what He did before. Don’t rush into prayer, most times you should assemble from scripture what you believe is God’s Word concerning what You are asking; what is His will on this matter? Assemble it. I heard from God’s servant, Bishop Oyedepo, he said, He writes down his prayer, the basis of it first, he’ll just write it down before he start praying, like calculation.

Pray with conviction, if you are not sure it will be answered, don’t pray. When you pray, believe. Accept spiritual responsibility; “Is there anything Lord, You are expecting me to do to make this prayer to be answered? Show me! Be profuse in praise and appreciation and God shall give us result. I want us to pray six prayer points within the next few minutes.

Lift up your hands and let’s thank the Lord for His Word to us tonight.

PRAYERS:

  • Father, I come before You today, I ask that You will show me who You are; show me Your reality and Your reliability oh Lord, that I may know You. Reveal Yourself to me, help me to know You in this season like never before Lord, oh Lord, in the name of Jesus.

Psalm 119:18

  • Father, I ask that You will give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You and Your Word. Open my eyes to see wonderous things out of Your Word in this season, to enter into the wonders of faith; open my eyes to see wonders from Your Word Oh Lord, in the name of Jesus.
  • Father, I make demands on the revelation of Your will for my life, the revelation of Your will from Your Word, from the Spirit; show me what You want so I can ask you what You want me to ask You. I receive grace to access the revelation of Your will for my life, I receive it now!
  • Father, I ask for an impartation tonight of the Spirit of faith to pray from a victory position, to pray with expectancy, to pray with confidence, to pray without doubting and to pray believingly. Father, I receive the impartation of that Spirit of faith now!
  • Father, show me what to do; the responsibility to accept in order to see the possibilities I expect, I receive it now!

Isaiah 54:17)

  • Father, tonight I decree that everything that is working against my life, destiny, family, the Church, Dunamis, the Nation; every weapon, device, tongue of judgment, confrontation, litigation, accusation against my life destiny, the Church, Nigeria, in the name of Jesus, I command scatter now!

Psalm 124:1-8

  • In the name of Jesus, every trap, every snare from the pit of hell set for me, my family, the Church, for Dunamis and the Nation; today we decree, oh you trap and snare catch fire now!

Revelation 12:11

  • satan, in the name of Jesus, concerning my life, my family, the Church, Dunamis and the Nation, the blood of Jesus is against you. We overcome you by the blood of Jesus now!

Lift your hands and thank Him for the answer to every prayer we pray tonight; honour Him, adore Him and worship Him.
