Great things do happen on ordinary days and that’s what makes them certain days. Church Gist. You will hear on a certain day – it was an ordinary day but became a certain day because of the great event that took place.
- May this day be a certain day in your life!
- A day you will live to remember!
- A turnaround day!
- A landmark day in the name of Jesus!
Now, everyday is God’s day. Your day of encounter is your certain day. 2 Corinthians 6:2. Church Gist. Therefore get set to make today your own certain day where the siege of sickness and disease shall be over (the siege of career frustrations, stagnation and failure) in the name of Jesus.

It is faith that makes your ordinary day a certain day. Church Gist. The Word comes and your faith catches with it like we say in our Church “I caught it.” That means your faith caught it.

Welcome to this awesome day. I’m persuaded that not one person under the sound of my voice today whether on ground here or online around the World will return without a turnaround touch! Church Gist. One ordinary day God just appeared to Abraham and destiny landed. One day God showed up to Moses, one day Jesus showed up to Peter and He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
- He will show up to you today!
1 Samuel 3:21. He will show up in your affairs today by His Word!
“WHAT IS IN THE WORD THAT HEALS?” Psalm 107:20. What’s in the Word that heals? Please listen.
- God’s Word carries medicinal values. Proverbs 4:20-22. God’s Word carries medicinal values that quickens our mortal bodies. John 6:63. They carry quickening power – curative power. Church Gist. I was teaching in 1982 and a young man was there in the Fellowship; he felt a touch in his body. Now listen, we were teaching on prosperity. God’s Word (because God’s Word is God’s Word), it got through to him. He felt a touch in his body. He went to the toilet, for the first time in 6 years, there was no blood in his faeces. He was being prepared for operation before – that ended forever. He sent His Word, the medicinal value of it goes forth and it quickens the mortal body.
Somebody is hearing me now, as you receive the Word, you are empowered to manifest it. John 1:12. You don’t have to wait to be laid hands upon. Church Gist. Matthew 8:8,13. The Word went forth, it became like vaccines; entered the body and that was the end of it.
- May His Word enter you today!
- The Word is surgical. It was God that opened up Adam, removed one rib from him and with that, He formed a woman. Genesis 1:17-18, John 1:1. Church Gist. So the Word carries surgeries in our bodies.
- Whatever should be removed in your body, it will go today!
Malachi 3:6. So He’s still carrying out surgical operations today. I was in Uganda and I was talking about the surgical power of the Word. And a woman that had an accident, she was the only survivor in that accident but all her ribs were broken. So they packaged her like a specimen. They put bracelets and all that to keep her body. Church Gist. She heard the surgical power of the Word. She went to bed that night and saw this Man showed up (His name, Jesus) and began to press her ribs. She woke up in the morning, the Surgeon had done the job. Live story!
I did that (teaching) in our European Convention in London and there was this lady that had this terrible waist trouble and then the Surgeon showed up in the night. When they are going to do surgery, they put you to sleep. So He showed up in the night and began to pull out strands from her waist like spaghetti – yellowish in colour. She woke up in the morning, the Surgeon had perfected the job. Church Gist. In fact, He appeared with about 3 or 2 nurses according to that testimony. Nurses came along. And He said, what’s the time? 5:30. She opened her eyes and it was 5:30 exactly. She turned her body, the Surgeon is at work.
- Today, whatever evil that has been planted in your body, the Master Surgeon will remove them!
- The Word is creative. If your situation cannot be cured, then it can be repaired. If it cannot be repaired then, it can be replaced. In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the Earth and He did by His Word. “And God said and God saw.” ‘And God saw everything that God said and behold it was very good.’ Church Gist. God’s Word is creative. If your case cannot be cured then, it can be repaired. If it cannot be repaired then, it can be replaced.
- In the name of Jesus, every case that requires replacement today: replacement of the heart, of the kidney, your intestine, your eyes, your ears – whatever requires replacement, the replacer God is in the House, the creative God is in the House. It’s done today!
So we saw how He created brand new eyes with the Man that was born blind. Some translation said, ‘he had no eyes.’ Jesus created it. Church Gist. And He is the Word – the living Word. Lazarus was dead and stinky, He created new life.
- Whatever may be dead in anyone’s body or dying, it shall be replaced!
- The Word transmits divine nature. 2 Peter 1:4. God’s word transmits divine nature that is immune to sickness and disease and all assaults of the wicked one. Church Gist. Whatever can never infuse sickness into God has no legal right to infuse sickness into you as a child of God particularly haven found and embraced the truth of Scriptures as a way of life, it keeps increasing our divine nature content thereby making it impossible for the devil to have his way in our lives.
- It’s your turn!
So the Word is medicinal, the Word is surgical, the Word is creative, the Word transmits divine nature that is immune to sickness and disease and all oppressions of the devil.
- The Word is prophetic. Isaiah 34:16…That means every Word from Me is prophetic. 2 Peter 1:19-20. So He’s talking about the prophecy of Scriptures. He calls it the more sure Word of prophecy. Church Gist. You can count on anything you find in this Book (The Bible) as a pointer to what God has vowed to do. Isaiah 14:24, Matthew 8:16-17.
Our liberty from sickness and disease is prophetic. 1 Peter 2:24. Can I have you say with me? “My healing is prophetic, fully settled in Heaven and set for delivery on the Earth by my faith.” Isaiah 53:1,4. Church Gist. So we are redeemed to live a sickness and pain free life. (Speaks in tongues) It’s already paid for. 1 Corinthians 6:20.
- Today is your day!
For healing and deliverance is the children’s bread. Matthew 15:26, 1 John 5:4. He has to be born of God before he can live the overcomer’s life. Church Gist. He has to be born of God. He has to be born again. He has to become a child of God before he is licensed to live the overcomer’s life.
- It’s your day!
Every provision of Scriptures requires faith for delivery. Without faith, no provision of redemption will see the light of the day. Church Gist. “I have been here for so long” – it won’t change anybody’s story.
- But your story will change today!
They cried to Jesus – 2 blind men. ‘Have mercy on us.’ He said, well you need to answer a question. Church Gist. Matthew 9:28-29. So your healing is delivered according to your faith not according to your attendance – according to your faith.

Let faith arise in your heart. He has no other way of reaching you and me except by His Word. I met a woman in Jos. The woman had no womb. They have gone round the World by their privileged position but no change. And I said “hey, God knows there is a thief in town who has come to steal, to kill and to destroy. But He said, I have come to replace whatever the thief has stolen and replaced them in perfect form.” And I said by revelation, no manufacturer operates without a spare part store. God knew that there is a thief in town that steals parts. So he has stolen your womb. He said, ‘and I will give you more abundantly.’ I said, do you believe that? Church Gist. They said, yeah! And I could see faith on their faces. Paul perceived that ‘that man’ had faith to be healed. I perceived faith and I said now, you receive it. The next time I was in that City about a year after, they were there to share their testimony at the Full Gospel Meeting – bouncing baby boy without a womb. Because God’s Word is creative. God’s Word is prophetic. God’s Word is surgical.

Why do I say that? The price has been fully paid. You are just to take delivery and it’s only by faith, you can take delivery. Let faith arise in your heart. Church Gist. Jesus, the Master Healer is in the House. Jesus, the Master Surgeon is in the House. Jesus, the Master Creator is in the House.
- So your case is settled!
- I therefore speak to those issues challenging your health to lose their grip right now!
Where you are seated, put your right hand on any part of your body that needs the healing touch. If you don’t know where it is, put your hand on your chest. You want miracle children, put your hand on your tummy. Church Gist. Your eyes are challenged, put your hand on your eyes. Your ears are not hearing well, put your hand on it.

- That blocked sight opens right now!
- That blocked ears open right now in the name of Jesus!

- Now that healing virtue is flowing!
So expect a turnaround. Expect it to start changing. Expect the lumps to start disappearing. Expect the pains to find their way out. Expect that discomfort to find their way out because God never lies. He was teaching and the power of God was present to heal them. Church Gist. There is power in this House. It’s the power of God not the power of man. It’s the power of Christ not the power of a pastor. That power is up to anything in your life and it’s flowing right now.
He said, who touched me? Because virtue is gone out of me. He said to the woman, thy faith hath made thee whole. Your faith is what draws the virtue. Church Gist. So let your faith come alive and let your faith stay alive.
- It is your certain day!
- It’s a day you will live to remember in the name of Jesus! So shall it be! Thank you Father!
Every covenant child is redeemed a blessing and not a burden. So career stagnation, career failure, career crisis is not your portion. Every covenant child is redeemed a blessing and not a burden. Genesis 12:3. Church Gist. Every child of God is a seed of Abraham. Galatians 3:29. So you are a seed of Abraham if you are saved. That means you are redeemed to be a blessing to your world, a blessing to your family, a blessing to your relations not a burden. “He’s coming again. He always has issues. He’s coming again.”
- Therefore in the name of Jesus, not one of us today will be termed a burden again!
Genesis 22:18. It was a sworn blessing on Abraham. Genesis 22:16-18. Church Gist. Say with me, “I am redeemed to be a blessing. I refuse to be a burden.”
- Therefore, I speak, everyone’s career here – open in the name of Jesus!
Follow this line before I pray. Isaac was a blessing – a major employer of labour. The Nation said, you are mightier than us. Galatians 4:28. Church Gist. Say with me one more time, I am redeemed a blessing. I refuse to be a burden.
But listen to me. What God blesses is what we do, not what we desire. Psalm 1:3. So it is what we do that God blesses not what we desire. Proverbs 13:4. People are dying of desires. God does not bless desires. He blesses the works of your hand. Only working hands become profitable hands. Church Gist. “All the profits of the Earth belong to us. Even the king has to work to partake of it.” Ecclesiastes 5:9. So you have a share of the profit of the Earth. I want to provoke your sincere heart to the realities of life in the Kingdom. Matthew 20:1-9. The righteous are not redeemed to be beggars. Psalm 37:25.
- The days of borrowing to eat – they are over in your life!
We are redeemed to be givers. Jesus said, “I was hungry, you didn’t feed me. I was naked, you didn’t clothe me.” That means His disciples are not permitted to be looking for what to eat and what to wear. Matthew 25:31-40. Church Gist. If one is not a worker today, he’s sure to end up a beggar tomorrow. Proverbs 20:4. “You know the reason why I’m still looking for a job?” First year, second year, third year, fourth year, fifth year, haba!
- It ends today!
Interestingly, God has made adequate provisions for all of us to be profitably engaged. All we need is to locate those opportunities around us. 1 Timothy 5:8. So God provides for His house. Watch, Hagar’s son was dying of thirst. She put the child far away. I don’t want to watch my child die and (she) cried unto God. The water is finished, the child is dying of thirst. And then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water that turned her tears to testimony. Friends, there is a well of water within your reach that will turn your desperation to celebration. Genesis 21:15-19.
The problem has been (that) nobody wants to start from the beginning. Nobody wants to start small. Nobody wants to. For though thy beginning be very small and (that) is the normal way up. Nobody is born an adult. No one is born an adolescent. Everybody began his journey in life as a baby. People don’t want to have a small beginning. “Except I got a job in (an) oil company, I’m not taking any job.” Okay, take hunger. I once taught in (a) primary school. I taught in (a) secondary school but I’m not there now. Listen to me, get started. Labour is more fashionable than begging (laughs). There is dignity in labour. Being a burden is a reproach. Zechariah 4:10.
Those who despise the days of small things never see great days. I was flying on my feet for Jesus. One day I ran across my father’s house to catch transportation to where I was going to minister on my legs. They said they saw me running. They told them in the house, they said “is he mad? Church Gist. How can he be running across the house?” Yes, I was mad. At another time, we had a borrowed motorbike (flying on the motorbike) before we started flying in the air. Wake up! Living on your parents as an adult is a failed life.
- In the name of Jesus, I pray for everyone’s eyes to be opened!
There is a well of water within your reach that will stop your tears and turn them to your cheers; will turn your lack to plenty. It was a bottle of water they had that finished. Church Gist. It was a well of water that God showed them. From a bottle to a well.
- Now, there is no single person in this Spiritual Family who will not step into fortune this year! Thank you Jesus!
The good news here is this, there is something in your house that holds the solution to the buggy issues of your life. Look inward. Church Gist. There is something within that God has put in there that will lead the way to earning legitimate income not ‘yahoo yahoo’ income, not drug pushing income. You have something in your hand that guarantees you a future. Ecclesiastes 9:10.
- I pray that your eyes, be opened!
There are things within your reach that will heavily dignify your destiny.
- Eyes be opened!
The following testimonies will help trigger your faith. They are illustrative of what God can do with our small beginnings. I was in Ghana many years ago (1995) and I saw a lorry on which was inscribed “there is no food for an idle man.” I loved it. I said to myself humorously, “if I was going to Nigeria by road, I would like to board this vehicle.” Church Gist. Sunday morning (that was a Saturday), I said “I’m speaking to you this morning, there is no food for an idle man.” A young man just left his job from the North, an accountant. I said in the course of the teaching, some of you are driving a job looking for a job. Something hit him. He took his car to the airport on Monday “V.I, V.I, V.I” (Victoria Island) – (he) came back home with 3,000 naira. The wife said how? (He replied) From yesterday’s message. My God! He ended up building a duplex near the Old Church from that message. He went further exporting African food to European countries. Story changed by one word.
- Somebody’s story is changing today!
You don’t need a tie on your neck to make marks. No, you don’t need it. A young man in Liberia, he got this little Book ‘Wisdom Diary on Diligence’ and he saw in page 3 (they are all just quotes) living without working is dying without knowing. Ecclesiastes 10:18. He had just finished in a computer’s school. It wasn’t long after the war and (he) couldn’t get any job anywhere. This Word hit him. He had 100 Liberian dollars. Church Gist. He went and bought a brush and bought polish, he became a shoe shiner. That was where his journey began. He ended up opening a computer school from that business; built a storey building from that business. He sowed the seed of land to the Church (our Church) in Liberia. God opened up his destiny from one word. Ecclesiastes 10:18. Wake up!
One of the greatest corporations in the World today began as a vendor of newspapers. Vendors! People hate to have a beginning and they want to be prize winners. This Church began with 4 people. Are we still 4 today? You despise small things, you don’t see great days. Listen to me, there are many looking for a job that carry potentials to be job creators – to be employers of labour and they are busy roaming the streets carrying those potentials around without expression. Church Gist. The Lord said to me, “some of the people you are praying for to get jobs, they are to create jobs if their eyes will be opened and their ears will be opened to see what I’m showing and hear what I’m saying.” You are the one God is talking about.
We had a young university student here in Church then. He was selling bread in ‘molue’ buses to pay his way through school. He was paying his fees by selling bread in molue. Finished his first degree, did his Phd programs. He is a faculty…of that university today. He began small. We had a graduate of Covenant University. His business was bread to pay his way and he succeeded to do it. Wake up! Opportunities are bound. Church Gist. Every child of God is redeemed to be a blessing and not a burden. At Landmark University, one of the students, the father died at 100 level when he just resumed. The only option was to withdraw but he began a small fish pond. He didn’t only pay his way through school, he helped other classmates to pay.
- God will show you the way forward!
Don’t you ever forget, God does not bless our desires, He blesses the works of our hands. Psalm 1:3b.
- It’s your turn!
- As this Word is going forth, creative power is coming in!
- Destiny is showing up!
Can I tell you what these opportunities are? One of our graduates here at Covenant University, during NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) was teaching from school to school a subject that had scarce teachers. Church Gist. He made 2 million within one year by teaching from school to school. He saw the opportunity, bought into it and something came out.
- May every opportunity hovering around your life be captured by you to live a dignified life in the name of Jesus!
- We are going to beat the devil hands down!
- We are going to beat his hand, hands down!
Can I tell you why? Companies are fleeing Nigeria because of economic situations, power issues and some security issues. So if a company needs 10 people and they already have the 10 and there’s where you must work. Church Gist. You have to kill one of them then you become a murderer. And that you kill them does not mean they will use you to replace them. But there is always a way out. 1 Corinthians 10:13.
- It’s your turn!
- I see you as a covering for many!
- I don’t see any of us as a sufferhead!
- I see God’s hand upon you bringing fortune about in your life!
A young man came from the US with a master’s degree, he couldn’t get a job – a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. We were in Kaduna then. So he saw an opportunity, he went and did a research on how much palm oil is selling in Kaduna market and how much they sell in Edo State. Church Gist. So he became an oil guru. He began to use the money he has to move palm oil to the market. Before the oil arrives, they have been booking for it. He bought his personal house in Kaduna GRA (Government Residential Area). That’s oil industry (laughs).
- I see an army of job creators in this place!
- I see that when some of you even get any job of your desire, you will still keep those businesses going and offering covering for others in the name of Jesus!
On the other hand, one of us was out on soul winning outreach and the Lord said to her (him or her, I can’t remember) go to that office, there’s a job waiting for you there. He knocked on the door, “hello, there is a door for me here.” Like a dream of the night, it was done. Giving God his place will secure your place. Church Gist. Somebody asked me (a senior minister of the Gospel), he said, tell me “what is the secret of the prosperity of this Church?” I said, we teach people to be responsible. Take responsibility, you will not end up a liability.
- Therefore today, I decree that your hands become finding hands!
- Whatever your hand findeth to do, do it with all your might. I decree that your hands today become finding hands!
- That these hands will never be empty again!
- Now watch, when the enemy shuts a door against you, God said, I will open 7 to replace!
- You are in consultancy and nobody is consulting you – I will open 7 more doors. You are a contractor and contract is not coming – I will open 7 more doors!
- You are not permitted to be stranded!
- You shall not be stranded!
- As the Lord lives, between now and the end of June, you have landed a platform of fortune!
Now watch, let me say this. At a time, the wealthiest man in the World was an Indian living in India. Nevermind the value of your currency. My God! Nevermind it! Church Gist. The wealthiest man in the World was in India. If you know the dollar rate of the rupees, you will laugh like a drunkard. How much more you a covenant child? When God stretches forth to bless the works of your hands, it will show around the World.

Opportunities are found everywhere but only those with open eyes that can see them.
- I decree eye opening miracles for everyone in this Service so as not to remain a burden but to become a blessing to the World around us in the name of Jesus!
