Nicholas James Vujicic popularly called Nick Vujicic is an Australian Evangelist and Motivational Speaker aged 37. He is Married to Kanae Miyahara. Growing up, Nick thought he would never get married because of his rare disorder called tetra-amelia syndrome; born without arms and legs. The opposite is the case resulting to a union which has inspired many, Nick and Kanae fell in love at first sight.
The great faith displayed by Pastor Nick has kept people wondering till date, how he is able to serve God amidst the worries that comes with the inability to carry out some functions due to his physical condition. With the rise in anxiety, depression, suicidal attempts and its actual act, anyone would consider a condition as his to be a good reason to quit believing.
Well, here is Pastor Nick’s first stride at driving based on a documentary covered by TLC five years ago. He was totally in awe of God’s faithfulness. He said, while talking to his wife and the man who encouraged him to try
“I can’t believe I just drove, the feeling… I am so glad I tried. I really didn’t believe that was possible. I had a lot of concerns knowing my limitations and you telling me I can and I’m like, no I don’t think I can…At 32, always wanting to know how it felt to drive. My brain is still registering what just happened. It is like surreal, I waited that long to drive a car and knowing the feeling, I am like wow. Finally!”
In one of his inspirational videos, Nick mentioned that he had tried committing suicide at the age of 10, engineered by the bullying at school which convinced him that he was a mistake but he shut his ears to the lies of the devil and told himself that he is wonderfully and fearfully made. Pastor Nick is like any one of us with a challenge, doubt or limitation but his faith shows that we can break boundaries amidst the circumstance, that we can win.
He is a great motivator and a preacher of faith in Christ Jesus. In his words,
“Sometimes, when you are dialing into Heaven and it feels like He is not picking up, don’t hang up on God, He’s listening. I hung up on God because I didn’t understand His plan. God said through my parents, Nick God’s got a plan for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 I have a hope, plan and a future and I said, no God, there’s no race like that…Look at all the pain in the world. If God loved the world, why is he letting so much pain? Later on, you realize in the bible that God doesn’t give us pain but what ever the enemy tried to use for bad, God turned into good.”
At a golf play and interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Nick was asked by the presenter
“So do you see yourself as a disabled person?” And his response was thrilling.
“I know I have no arms and no legs but the definition of disability is something stopping you from being able to do something, In my life, there’s hardly anything that I found that I can’t do…even golf”
Pastor Nick is indeed a case in point of winning on all grounds; Ministry, Career, Relationship and Family. He is a father of four and an author with book credits to his name such as; Unstoppable, Life Without Limits, Be the Hands and Feet, Attitude is everything and Stand Strong.
So far, Nick has spoken to more than two million people, and his show “Life Without Limbs” has become one of the biggest show ever.
