Since the founding of Word of Life Bible Church in 1987, it has experienced tremendous growth. By 1994, the Church attendance was estimated to be over 3,000, prompting the acquisition of a large piece of property in Ajamimogha, Warri. Thereafter, construction of its new auditorium called the International Gospel Centre commenced at the Church’s permanent headquarters. Within this period of the construction, the Church attendance increased to 8,000, prompting the completion of its new auditorium. In 2000, the church relocated to the International Gospel Center (IGC), which was officially opened on 19th November, 2000 by Dr. Morris Cerullo. The IGC is located in southwest Delta State along 118/120 Ajamimogha, Warri and is over five times the capacity of its former tabernacle. The IGC houses a 25,000-seater main auditorium and 5,000-capacity children’s Church.
In 2018, to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Church, Papa Ayo Oritsejafor announced the opening of 80 branches around the world as well as the ordination of Pastors, Deacons, Deaconesses and Gideonites who will serve in these branches. A move which he attributed to the leading of God. However, prior to this, the first branch of the Church (The Lord’s Chapel) was established in the late 90s in Moloney Street, Obalande, Lagos State out of the vision of Papa Ayo to preach the Gospel in the City where he grew up.
Word of Life Bible Church owns the Eagle Flight Microfinance Bank that was founded on 9th October 1992. Papa Ayo Oritsejafor partners with Eagle Flight Microfinance Bank to hold poverty alleviation programs annually in Warri which has now transited into the Papa Ayo Oritsejafor Wealth Creation Initiative. The Church also has several educational institutions including Eagle Might Group of Schools and a Bible School called International School of Ministry located in Warri, Nigeria. This College offers diplomas in Bible and ministry-related studies. In addition, the Church in May 2014 announced the construction of its university called Eagle Heights University located in Omadino, Delta. Eagles Height University groundbreaking was done on 3rd June 2022 with the then President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as the chief groundbreaker.
