Acts 2:46-47
The Apostolic age was a period of Explosive Church growth. There are at least 2 reasons:
1) New Testament (people) knew the reasons for House Fellowships.
In Matthew 2:11, House Fellowship was considered a house suitable for worship of Christ.
Matthew 26:18, the first Holy Communion was in a house. Mark 2:1.
Houses were used for preaching the Gospel in Acts 2:1, Acts 2:46, Acts 8:3, Acts 12:5.
2) They knew the secret of consecration.
Acts:25:25
The second reason: Their consecration. They knew the truth.
What is consecration? Hebrews 7:26-28.
The act of setting apart (something/someone) for the Service of God.
1 Chronicles 29:5.
When a house fellowship leader knows the truth and practices the secret of consecration, it will result in church growth.
1 Peter 8:18-19
Know that you are no longer your own. Consecration involves:
1) Giving up my will or sacrificing my will, this is confirmed in Hebrews 10:7, Galatians 1
2) God’s acceptance of you.
Hebrews 12:1-2.
3) When you give up your will, you will hear from God
It will help you as a person to set yourself apart from sin.
It will help you to devote yourself and your substance to God.
Micah 4:13.
Elements of Consecration
Consecration is a voluntary decision
It will help you as a person to devote yourself and your substance to God
Romans: 12:1-3
. It is a personal decision
. It is a sacrificial decision
Roles of house fellowship leaders
1) Lead a house fellowship center
2) Be a host
3) Attend house fellowship meetings
4) Care for the spiritual and material needs of members
5) Engage in neighborhood activities.
Spend your life for God, release your home for house fellowship.
Impact some lives today, don’t stop at that, pray for the people and pray for the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
