We have heard of 19 years restoration back to work but we have never seen 29 years. This God is never late. The kind of visitation you have never known in your life will still take place this year and all to the glory of our God. But he stayed on, hit and run believers have no future. He stayed on serving God with all his heart. Church Gist. Grace to stay on with God to fulfill your glorious destiny, receive it now. Paid back 29 years’ salaries and allowances all in one day. God will visit you today. Whatever you may have lost that seems to be lost forever, God will visit you this time.
We have been celebrating the works of God at Covenant since Monday. This morning the Pro-Chancellor, Bishop Abioye, is there with them and the R.P. in continuation and thanksgiving because we didn’t do it. He did it all. What His mouth spoke, His hand performed so the glory goes to Him. All the accolades, all the awards, all the global impact the glory goes to Him. Church Gist. To Him alone be all the praise. To our ministry, running Covenant is like running a primary school. There is no stress, no strain. The next great act of God in your life will be stress-free.
Ask Him to speak to you this morning as we get into the word. You sent a word to Jacob and it turned His life around, send me my word today.
Lord let no one return without an encounter with your Word. Appear to everyone by your Word today. A word came to a man, he received it and turned his business into millions of dollars. His instructions are for our change of position. His name is I AM. We obey Him, I AM. We don’t obey Him, I AM. Church Gist. We worship Him, I AM. He is I AM, there is nothing we do that will change Him. Every obedience changes us. My prayer is that grace for tireless obedience to every instruction which is for our profiting receive it this morning.
Quickly we are concluding our teaching series on UNVEILING THE REALITY OF WISDOM FROM ABOVE. How real? How applicable to life is the wisdom from above? Don’t forget we began by acknowledging the four categories of wisdom recognized in scripture – earthly wisdom (common sense, natural wisdom), intellectual wisdom that we acquire through education and learning, devilish wisdom and then the wisdom from above. They are in that order in terms of impact. A child does not have to go to school to know where to put the feeding bottle and the nipple of the mother’s breast. He doesn’t open his mouth to “wee wee”. He doesn’t carry his two legs to walk, he takes one, staggers, falls, gets up and the other. It is natural. Church Gist. We have seen sensual wisdom which is intellectual wisdom and then we have devilish wisdom which is diabolical wisdom which occultic people use. Church Gist. Then we have the wisdom from above which is superior to all of them. Whatever is from above is above all. When that wisdom came to Daniel, he was master of all magicians, master of astrologers, master of Chaldeans. Chaldeans are native doctors. Master! When he is passing they bow. It humbles principalities and powers, puts them in their place. The wisdom from above. That is our birthright, every child of God. Just like every child of man has natural access to the wisdom of man. So every child of God has direct access to the wisdom of God because like begets like, everything reproduces after its own kind. We have these treasures in us ordained to our glory, it is to establish our peculiarity, our uniqueness in the world. Expect a new dawn.
Our God is the only wise God. Jude 1:25. He gives wisdom to the wise out of His fullness. Daniel 2:21. He is the fountain, He is the source. His wisdom is delivered to us as a gift. So to be proud of it is to crash. Jeremiah 9:24-25. The wisdom that works has its source in God. The exploits of Daniel came from the wisdom of God. Genesis 41:15-16. Joseph acknowledged the source of the supernatural insights. Daniel 2:30. It is a gift, when you think you own it, you become a victim. Church Gist. Ahithophel thought he was that wisdom bank and we saw how stupid he was. 2 Samuel 17:1 – he committed suicide because his advice was not taken, will it now be taken in the grave? When you think you own it, you lose it. Solomon thought he owned it (Ecclesiastes 2) and he became the most stupid one at the end of the day. God only! The source of divine wisdom is God alone. His wisdom covers every aspect of human life, you know why? That no flesh will glory in His presence. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29.
I am as amazed as anybody else by what God is doing at Covenant University. The raw hand of God. Light comes from one source and you now think you have it, then you have lost it.
The following examples validate the facts of divine wisdom, the wisdom from above being a gift. We saw that in Joseph, Daniel and Solomon. 1 Kings 4:26. God gave not that Solomon had. So they are all gifts from God. “and as for the wisdom given to our brother Paul” so it is given to him from above, it is not from his law practice. People pride themselves on nothing. There is no comparing this dimension of wisdom with any wisdom from any school of learning. Church Gist. Thank God for Harvard, they have their limit – intellectualism. Can you unravel the dream of a man even though you slept on the same bed? And he was nodding his head, that is what I saw. That is the supremacy of this wisdom. You have a writing that has no interpretation on the earth and somebody came and said the interpretation belongs to God. “You are in trouble”. God is changing your level.
Now we have been around here for so long so we have lost our true identity. Kenneth Hagin told a story of a lion baby that was captured and was growing among the sheep. He was eating what the sheep were eating, fearing what the sheep feared until one day he saw his picture on the face of the water. Church Gist. He said, “wait a minute, I am like those lions we are running from”. The next time a lion showed up, he just crossed over to the other side. We have been so much around here that we have lost our identity of redemption. He said He will build this sanctuary in one year, and He did. Now you are a major engineer, is that technically possible but spiritually it is cheap. So it was a gift to Solomon, a gift to Joseph, a gift to Daniel, a gift to Paul, so it is ordained a gift. James 3:17. You can explain from scripture how it came to be. Pure gift of God.
What then is divine wisdom?
- It can be defined as a product of putting our spiritual understanding of the Word to work.
Because God’s word produces to the level of our understanding. If you understand it and engage with it, it will always command outstanding results. Not just doing it but doing it with a deep enough spiritual understanding of what is in it. I have never bothered for once about who pays me. He already told me, I am in His employment and as I stay on duty, He owes me my hire. So I have never branched anybody’s house and said “Excuse me, you know I am a man of God. Things are tough, Coro 19, coro 20. If there is anything you can give so the man of God will not die. Church Gist. Not once, when you engage according to your spiritual understanding of the truth, outstanding results come out. Matthew 13:23. People don’t want to value these basic things, results are according to our levels of understanding not according to our activity. Matthew 7:24-25. Putting God’s word to work with spiritual understanding makes wise. Psalm 19:7. God’s word makes wise.
- It can also be defined as a manifestation of the wisdom of God at work in us.
Genesis 41:16. The wisdom of God at work in us is what we define as divine wisdom. He comes in and by light from heaven, shows the way out of unwanted situations. The way forward when you are being withheld and the way upward when the devil is trying to put a seal on your life. The spirit of God in us speaks forth when no one else knows the way to go. So there is a force in us that make men think we are wise or recognize that superior wisdom in us. Isaiah 11:1-3. John 14:15-17. Spirit of God show me the way to go and He rises from inside.
We have two channels of access we are looking at this morning,
- Access to this wisdom requires meekness of spirit.
God does not speak to Jack and Harry. The proud have no audience with God. 1 Corinthians 8:2. If you know what you claim to know, it should show. I was preaching prosperity before I knew it, you know, to preach anything is very simple. Church Gist. You hear the story and you tell others. But those who know, they shall be strong and it will show. This wisdom shows in mighty works, in impact not theoretical wisdom, not the wisdom of big grammar that people are clapping for. Men can see that something is working in the life of this man or woman, they shall see that in you in Jesus name.
- Through focused observation of things around us.
You saw that Solomon spoke of trees, the cedars in Lebanon to the hyssop that grows on the walls. He spoke of ants, he spoke of this, spoke of that. It is inspired insights from the things we see around us. He said “even nature teaches us” 1 Corinthians 11:14. Church Gist. Nature beams the glory of God at us and we draw lessons from it. God’s wisdom draws insights from the things around us. Proverbs 24:27-30, 6:6-9. Somebody’s story is changing. My prayer today is that the wisdom of God that shows with undeniable proof begins to work in every one of us.
We have been examining various channels since these teachings began, please get a hold of those materials and dwell in them. Church Gist. It will go a long way in boosting our access to this awesome treasure called wisdom. No one shall miss it in Jesus name.
Today is our Financial Fortune Banquet and all financial misfortunes must end in everyone’s life today.
3 John 2. Matthew 7:11.
So we serve a good God who has a bounty full of good things for His children among which is financial fortune. My prayer is that the key to a world of financial fortune will go home with you today. Why do we need this key? Before Jesus comes, the world around us will continue to face worsening economic circumstances, famines in diverse places, we have those prophetic words preceding the coming of the Lord. Isaiah 60:2. Church Gist. The earth shall burn like an oven and all the proud and those that do wickedly, the day that cometh will burn them up. Malachi 4:1-2. You shall be going up like fattened cows in the midst of this season. God said I have an agenda for your exemption.
With the key to a door, you don’t need to cry. You open at will. We have never prospered at the rate He brought us into since coro began. The covenant is superior to all economic circumstances under heaven. Superior for every. We hired the largest workforce in all of our history under coro. Started the largest number of churches under coro. Nothing will stop your way forward anymore. Nothing shall stop your way forward anymore.
This is the key that God placed in my hand. I was in that three days of prayer and fasting seeking the secrets to kingdom prosperity. There are all kinds of prosperity around, come today, disappear tomorrow. The Lord said to me loud and clear direct, “My son David, my prosperity plan is not a promise it does not answer to prayers, it has no respect for fasting. My prosperity plan is a covenant until your part is played, I am not committed”. I heard from the mouth of Jehovah God by His Spirit. Church Gist. What is your covenant Lord? Genesis 8:22. How reliable is that covenant? Jeremiah 33:20-21. His covenant is as binding as His covenant of day and night. When you engage with the covenant, just as no witch or wizard or government policy can change the covenant of day and night so also is His covenant. Can any government stand up in any place and say now day and night stop, only day from now? it is our policy. It will be equal to madness. Jeremiah 33:20-21. If you can’t break the covenant with day and night, forget it. That was when I screamed Yeah! I can never be poor. I exclaimed that on March 22nd 1982. This is 2022, Some may not find out till they die. What a privilege. He said what I tell you in secret, shout it on the housetop. We are not where we are by guesswork. I knew the day God brought this commission under an open heaven. It is no guesswork. 4th of September, 1987 I was in Sheraton Hotel, I came there for a Foursquare conference and God visited me from Hebrews 7:1-8. Church Gist. This is one of the most financially relaxed charity organizations in the world without begging, without stress on nobody. He said the tithe that Abraham paid was not his personal tithe, it was his corporation tithe, he went with 318 men to war, they came back with the spoil and he paid the tithe of all. That was it, our church came under the covenant of tithing. That was it. Unbelievable blessings, unsearchable blessings, unapologetic blessings somebody here is breaking forth to something new.
I saw prosperity before I became a pastor of a church, I was a freelance minister doing fellowship on Fridays when I was around. We didn’t collect offerings in our fellowship, so it is not about collecting offerings from people. There are many offering collectors who are pastors and they are very poor. What you collect does not prosper you, it is what you give. There are very many pastors of big congregations who are paupers. He said to me “get back home and make my people rich”. I said how? He said “as poor yet making many rich. Church Gist. Don’t look at you, you are not the source of what I am asking you to tell them. Tell them how to access my riches in glory”. That’s what I am telling you his morning. May this gain entrance into you. It will terminate all forms of financial misfortune and make you live above all economic circumstances. No guesswork. Some young people are running around saying that there is nothing like tithing in scripture, sit down with your financial tightness. He told me, I heard Him, I believed Him and it showed.
Somebody brought me a seed from Jos last week and after hearing what she was saying. I knew God wanted me to return the seed back to her. “I place this in your hand as Abraham returned to Isaac with a sworn blessing. This will open new chapters in your life”. She was crying, I said don’t worry God told me not to take it. People are not looking for what to collect they are busy giving. One of the professors at Covenant University was testifying, He said “Sir I was on your scholarship when I was at the University of Ilorin” you heard it, did I know him? No! How much do you have? I won’t tell you, we were busy distributing and God kept supplying. Today, he is a professor. I met another one, he said I have been on your scholarship since I was 14 years old. He is an associate professor today. We didn’t have a school so it is not that we are preparing them to come to our school, school for where. Church Gist. This thing works every day, works every time. A young man met us at the Outreach Office and said “Sir, I was on your scholarship from K.H.M.S to Faith Academy, I ended up at the University of Benin, I am now a graduate”. You can’t sit down there and be watching and expect things to change, wake up and start putting God’s word to work if you truly understand it. If we are not magicians, we are not sorcerers and they are doing that kind of project in your Church and nobody is feeling anything. You are wearing white coat, everybody is wearing tie and putting excess money. This pocket thing can do another tie. Everybody is laughing genuinely. The remaining days of your life shall be free from pressure.
There is nothing mystical about financial fortune, it is just an understanding of the covenant and putting it to work under all circumstances. We had a drama in our home many years ago, we needed baby food and there was nowhere to find it because there was scarcity and the Lord said to me “give all you have as a seed. We did and the following morning, 24 cartons of baby food unsolicited for. Church Gist. Not mentioned to anybody. This person said there is no baby food in town and I know you may need. So the Lord spoke to me to bring twenty four cartons. Life! Life! Do you know why you could do that? You have an understanding of this covenant. God won’t tell you to do what will hurt you. Don’t copy somebody else, hear from God if you want to.
By sowing into the lives of people going to school, we never know when we pay school fees. It has never shown that we are paying school fees. The covenant works and works forever. There was so much famine in Egypt, people were offering themselves to be bought as slaves. It was so bad but Israel God’s covenant people stayed in the same nation, they had possessions and grew exceedingly. Genesis 47:15-27. They multiplied exceedingly in the midst of a burn down. That is a raw interpretation of Malachi 4:1-2. Luke 16:11. We are in the days of the true riches of heaven. Which your church is celebrating. True riches, no corner cutting, no talking to the governor, no talking to the president. That’s your portion.
Wealth in the kingdom is an enthrustment, not an achievement. It is only available to those who God can trust. Can God trust you to use it for His purpose? If He cannot, forget it.
If you cannot be trusted, you cannot gain access. Can you be trusted? Because you are blessed, to be a blessing. Church Gist. Are you available to be a blessing to the world around you?
You can never be blessed beyond your commitment to be a Blessing, it would kill you.
God would not give you beyond what you are willing to discharge. Church Gist. God would not bless anybody beyond their ‘capacity’ to be a blessing. No, He won’t (Genesis 12:2).
Would you be willing to pay a tithe of one billion naira profit? Everybody would say; Yes. But there are people that, if God tempts them beyond one billion naira profit today, they would marry other wives (Laughs). They would build houses where they don’t need it, they would hire hotel rooms that they are not living in. When they say; Have you paid tithe? Tithe for what?
You know something about true riches? It endures. They call it – durable riches and righteousness (Proverbs 8:18).
I have never known one bit of setback. True riches endure, keeps multiplying.
In the name of Jesus, ups and downs in your finances end today.
Now caution!
Some of my students were here yesterday with me. They said; We still remember – CAUTION! One of them said; You have not said the third one (Laughs). When I’m warning them, I say; Caution! Caution!! Caution!!!
God does not bless the crooked. The integrity of the upright, shall preserve them but the perverseness of the wicked, shall destroy them (Proverbs 11:2-4, Zechariah 5:4). There’s nothing ‘abracadabra’ about God’s blessings (Psalms 112:1-3).
Don’t curse your coming generation, walk straight! Church Gist.
These fellows that see some ‘small-small’ things, they call ‘Breakthroughs’ and say; How’s that your church, is Papa still there? I would say; Look at these ‘small-small’ children. When you touch the kind of things I touch, I don’t know where you would be.
Now let me tell you this: I’ve never taken a dime of books’ money since 1985. That they pay me royalty for what, for what I didn’t do? He paid me, asked me to write as he was dictating and then, now asking of money from him?
I’ve never taken a dime from tapes, CDs or cassettes. I don’t know if they have an account for it.
1985…watch what I was earning. It’s not about earning, it’s about ‘Covenant Mentality’. The world is going from here on mystery. Church Gist. Why not you? Sitting down on this place, people just use their mouths without thinking. I pay for my books. They give me invoice and I pay.
I pay to give. Otherwise, I am stealing. Somebody’s story is changing. Amen.
What I’m saying this morning is this; If you are not a giver, you are not a candidate for Financial Fortune. Is that not a good conclusion? That is the best conclusion. If you are not a giver, stop wasting your time on prayers. The day you stop giving, your candidature ceases.
Enjoy Dominion. Enjoy it! One day, we had ten naira income in our church and somebody had a problem of ten naira and we gave it to him – Church Service. You know the meaning of ten naira? It’s a lot of money. Church Gist. So, it’s a giving church from the onset. Somebody’s life is changing. I decree, the giving grace that terminates financial misfortunes, shall come upon everyone of us.
From henceforth, major financial surprises will start visiting you.
- His purpose for wealth is to make us a blessing:
He will never bless us beyond His own satisfied conviction of our commitments, to be a blessing.
Number two purpose; COMMITMENT TO KINGDOM PROMOTION ENDEAVOURS. You give to charities, parents, needies around you, yes: Seek ye first the kingdom of God… (Matthew 6:33).
Somebody sent me a seed and I said; Help me ask him – has he given this kind of a seed to God before? Church Gist. Till I go to heaven, there is nothing I give to man, that can match what I give to God. He’s my source! And these are not ‘kobo-kobo’ givings.
In the precious name of Jesus, the grace of tireless giving as a lifestyle, receive it now in Jesus’ name.
Danger!
Solomon built lavishly and built one temple but gave no more. And, he started building shrines. At least, he built three hundred shrines but built only one temple and he crashed under his own wealth, struggling under pressure. Your life won’t end like that.
Progress is in phases. Destiny is in processes. Church Gist. Enjoy where you are – it’s the gate to where you are going.
Start your tithing from ten naira’s profit, and it grows.
No one here will give up. Amen.

Prayer – Today, maybe you are being harrassed by Landlords. Tomorrow, you would be housing the homeless, taking care of the needies in the name of Jesus. Grace to keep enjoying where you are, money without complaining. Receive it now in Jesus’ name.
Everything keeps changing in your favour. Sorrow and mourning have fled away from your lives in the name of Jesus. For everyone who had received the word of life this morning, I decree your supernatural story. And so shall it be, in Jesus’ name.
