3 April 2020: Pastor Adeboye makes a donation of twenty million naira ($52,000) to Osun State Government to cushion the effect of COVID-19 on Osun residents.

3 April 2020: The Governor of Osun State, H. E. Adegboyega Oyetola appoints Pastor E. A. Adeboye, General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God; Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) and others as part of the 21 notable personnel to make up the COVID-19 Relief Committee of the State.

 3 April 1926 – R. W. Schambach was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Robert William “R.W.” Schambach was an American televangelist, pastor, Word of Faith leader and author.

3 April 1826: Bishop Reginald Heber passes on to glory in India. He was Bishop of Calcutta and Composer of Hymns. Among his influential hymns composed are: “Holy, Holy, Holy” and “From Greenland’s Icy Mountains” which was reputed to have inspired more people into foreign missions than any other hymn in the greatest century of missions.

3 April 1593: George Herbert is born in Montgomery Castle. He was an English poet, orator, and priest of the Church of England. He is recognised as “one of the foremost British devotional lyricists”
