6th July, 2012: Pastor Uzoamaka Connie Madubuko passed on to glory. Pastor Connie was the wife of Apostle Anselm Madubuko, the Founder of Revival Assemble, until her passing.

6th July, 1861: James Stewart sails from Southhampton, England, to South Africa on the Ship, Celt. James Stewart is viewed by many people as a pioneer in medical missions for his founding of the hospital in Lovedale, starting a medical school and developing the founding scheme of the South African Native College, now the University of Fort Hare.

6th July, 1993: Kenneth Pike is awarded the Doctor of Philosophy, honoris causa, from Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, Germany, giving a lecture on “Language and Living.” Kenneth Pike was the First President of the Bible-translating organization Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL).

6th July, 1813: Granville Sharp passed on to glory. Granville Sharp was the son of Thomas Sharp, a former Archdeacon of Northumberland, Newcastle and prolific theological writer. He was a British scholar, philanthropist and one of the first campaigners for the abolition of the slave trade in Britain.
