9th – 10th July 1930: The Ilesha meeting in which the raising of a dead 10 years old child by Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola sparked off the revival at Oke-Oye, Ilesha in what was then the Southern Protectorate of Nigeria (present day Osun State) is held. The 1930 Revival is renowned as the event that sparked the beginning of pentecostalism and the main apostolic move of God in Nigeria.

9th July 2021: Anchor University holds her Inaugural Convocation Ceremony. A total of 63 students graduated with 23 bagging first class degrees. Anchor University is a Nigerian private university founded by Deeper Christian Life Ministry.

9th July 2021: The Karu-Jikwoyi Road of Abuja constructed by the Dunamis International Gospel Church Commission is dedicated by Dr Pastor Paul Enenche.

9th July 2016: Deaconess Eunice Olawale Elisha is martyred by suspected religious extremists while on evangelism in the Federal Capital Territory. She was a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

9th July 1896: William Cameron Townsend is born. He established the Wycliffe Bible Translators, the UK’s largest Bible translation organisation.
