4th August, 1998: The Redemption City formerly known as Redemption Camp obtains her Certificate Of Occupancy with number 23876 issued by the Ogun State Government of Nigeria. The facility started as a prayer camp in 1983. Redemption City, the largest single private property estimated at well over 45,000 acres is the camp ground and international headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

4th August 1957: Prophet Isaiah Ghele Sakpo receives a prophecy about the building of a national temple that will take hundreds of thousands as part of the ‘Glorious Vision’ for the Apostolic Church Nigeria. The foundation-laying ceremony for the project took place during his leadership of LAWNA in 1986. It took 25 years to complete the construction of the National Temple which Church Gist independently estimates as about 30,000 capacity.

4th August, 2018: President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo officially opens the Center for Historical Research into World Evangelism and Global Missions (CHRIWEGM). This is a museum instituted by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills that houses pictures and statues of many Heroes of Christian Faith.

4th -10th August, 2008: The Pastors’ Seeds Family (PSF) is inaugurated during the Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. It is headed by Pastor Leke Adeboye. The Pastor’s Seeds Family is the family of children of pastors, ministers and workers set up to address unique challenges facing young people, grow them spiritually and practically

4th August, 1892: English medical missionary Sir Wilfred T. Grenfell arrives in Labrador, Newfoundland, Canada. He labored as a physician and missionary for 42 years and was instrumental in building orphanages, hospitals, cooperative stores, and other community organizations.
