6th April 1969: Benson Idahosa weds Margaret Ekhoe in the little store front building where he had been teaching Bible Studies. Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory, popularly known as the Father of Pentecostalism in Nigeria was the Founder of Church Of God Mission International (CGMI) and Benson Idahosa University (BIU) in Benin City, Edo State Nigeria.


6th April 1969: The Groundbreaking Ceremony of the 12,000-capacity Sanctuary of David Yonggi Cho led Yoido Full Gospel Church is held in Seoul, South Korea. The Sanctuary was one of the largest in the World at the time it was completed and dedicated on 23rd September 1973.



6th April 1909: William Marrion Branham is born in Kentucky, United States of America. He was a Minister and Faith Healer who initiated the Post-World W@r II Healing Revival. He passed on to glory on 24th December 1965.

6th April 1961: Ituah Ighodalo is born. He is the Founder of Trinity House Church with its headquarters in Lagos State Nigeria.

6th April 1801: The General Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church (MEC) recognizes the new Wesleyan denomination, African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME). Blacks who were denied membership and/or recognition within White Methodist Churches, particularly in Philadelphia and New York, formed the original AME (Bethel AME). The establishment of the Church was led by Richard Allen.


6th April 2021: Carol Moore Liardon goes to be with the Lord at the age of 80. She was the Mother of Roberts Liardon, Author of The God Generals series and other books. She was also the President of Liardon’s New Life Christian Bookstore in Wallace, North Carolina.

6th April 1932: Eric Liddell, the Olympic Champion who refused to run in the 1924 Paris Olympics heats because it was held on a Sunday, makes his evangelistic debut by sharing his testimony to a group of men in Armadale, Scotland. His life story was featured in the film, ‘Chariots of Fire’.
