12th April 1906: William Seymour receives the Holy Ghost baptism. He was the Leader of the Azusa Street Movement and one of the most influential men in the birthing of the modern day Pentecostal Movement.

12th April 1914: The organizational meeting that broke away from the Church of God in Christ and formed the General Council of the Assemblies of God which held at the Grand Opera House in Hot Springs (Garland County) ends. The Assemblies of God would later become the World’s largest Pentecostal Denomination.

12th April 1799: Church Mission Society (CMS) formerly called Church Missionary Society is founded in Aldersgate Street in the City of London by a group of people whose hearts were stirred to go to the edges. It was originally called the Society for Missions in Africa and the East.

12th April 1940: John Charles Hagee is born. He is an author, televangelist and the founder of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas. He has served the Lord as a minister of the Gospel for over 63 years.

12 April 1964: Pastor Yonggi Cho embarks on his first trip overseas by invitation from the US Assemblies of God for her 50th year Church anniversary celebration.

12th April 1972: Watchman Nee’s 20th Prison Anniversary. This was 5 years more than his maximum sentence and within weeks, he passed on to glory. He was arrested in 1952 and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment with reform by labour for the sake of the Gospel.

12th April 1970: Bolu Adubi (nee Adeboye) is born. She is the only daughter of Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). She pastors alongside side her husband, Pastor Akinsanya Adubi at RCCG, Jesus Palace Parish, Maryland, USA.

12th April 1944: The National Religious Broadcasters Association is founded in Columbus, Ohio, in order to represent and build the credibility of Evangelical Christian broadcasters.

12th April 1850: Adoniram Judson, pioneer Baptist Missionary to India and Burma (now Myanmar), goes to be with the Lord during a sea voyage on the Indian Ocean. He translated the Bible into Burmese. He was aged 61.

12th April 2021: Forty three Sangere Marghi Housing units built by the Catholic Diocese of Yola in collaboration with Development Partners for IDPs in Adamawa is commissioned by the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Umaru Fintiri.
