What is your grouse with Bishop Oyedepo?
An open Letter to Papa Omolehin
By Oluwaseun Breakforth
One of the clear divine instructions we received as an organization was that ‘God had not kept the cane of pastors in our hands’.
1st Timothy 5:1 states
“Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;”
However this does not prevent us from writing as witnesses for posterity
Isaiah 55:4
I have given him a WITNESS to the people
Luke 1:2-3
Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were EYEWITNESSES, and ministers of the word;
It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to ✍️
We first noticed you and your ministry Sir at the end of 2024. However we observed that just like during the 2015 ‘Sai Buhari’ hype, many young people were excited. We watched your passionate messages during WOFBEC 2025. We were happy at your testimonies but paused and watched. Something didn’t sit right. We noticed many elders were hesitant to give you a right hand of Fellowship.
We then took a deep dive and began asking in Ilorin about you, we were referred to some past messages and began checking these messages including your ministry’s Shiloh 2025 messages in April 2025.
We were therefore not taken by surprise when we watched the drama and attack first with Ayo Babalola and Christ Apostolic Church and then against PFN. We expected it.

We consequently brought out old transcripts concerning some of your statements and we were maligned and challenged to bring out videos. Of course we had prepared and were waiting for that. We released the videos where you mocked Bishop Oyedepo then insulted and falsely accused Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of using charms such as parrots eggs and we were then accused of using A. I to lie on you, Sir.
All kinds of articles were written trying to excuse or justify you and call us dividers of the body of Christ. In that period, you sent out what was supposed to be an apology. It was not, but we were asked not to say a word and we didn’t.
Sir, We will never insult you, God forbid. In one of your videos, you cursed those that were insulting you on social media and said they will not reach the age of 50. The Scripture says-the curse cause less shall not come. No youth should ever insult any servant of God on social media or in any other way. We will never try it.
We are however documenting as for posterity sake and as a tongue of a ready writer-a Witness to the People.
Isaiah 55:4, Luke 1:1-3, Acts, 1:1-3.
We only want to state for the records that what Baba has done in that video is more of malice, hatred and heartfelt personal vendetta and not God speaking-at least in this particular instance not to mention the factual errors about the richest churches which we also pointed out as, well as the South African debacle with those untrue narratives which we also humbly challenged and asked for names and other facts.
We are informed that you were, at Bishop Oyedepo’s wedding allegedly and even handled the camera at some point. We are also informed that one of your pains was that a Church planted by Living Faith was very close to the entrance of your Church and this took some of your members. Whether these are completely true or not, remains unverified. We hope they are not true but we will get the facts regardless.
Nevertheless, we pray that whatever has caused the deep, seemingly veiled but unhidden hatred for Bishop Oyedepo specifically and some other fathers generally would be healed and forgiven.
Sir,
Even when our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ was on earth, ever before he even announced the great commission or the Apostles gathered in the upper room, there have been ‘denominations’ that’s why he rebuked his disciples for trying to stop another person outside their group who was speaking in Jesus name.
Luke 9:49-50 says
And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us..
The fact that there were denominations did not stop God from being God of all or Jesus from being the Father or the Head of all that later became known as Christians.
Secondly Sir, Pastor Enoch Adeboye today is the most accepted Christian leader across all Christian denominations in Nigeria from Orthodox to African instituted to Pentecostal expressions of the Christian Faith whether we like it or not Additionally, I have never heard that boko Haram differentiated between 2 denominations when trying to kill Christians.
However Sir, you tend to enjoy using this as a criterion to attack the Fathers such as Baba Adeboye. Jesus allowed denominations. Even in the time of the Apostles, we heard-I am of Paul and I am of Silas. Yes this was cautioned but it didn’t stop the fact that people genuinely felt led by these leaders neither did it take them to hell. Moderation not extremism was called for and not insults or mockery to Paul and Silas.
Sir,
Nigerian churches have gone through several phases. First the phase of dependence, where churches purely depended on foreigners from the core Orthodox churches to Baptists, some northern churches, EYN, ECWA, Foursquare, Apostolic Faith, TAC etc to the phase of Independence as expressed in churches like CAC, RCCG, CGMI and Deeper Life.
What we see now is very strong denominations who now operate interdependently. This is why we see Pastor Adeboye in Anglican and white garment churches, Bishop Oyedepo getting ready to dedicate Hand of God and Dreamland (Every father desires their sons to succeed and exceed them) Pastor Enenche blazing across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria and all over the, world, Bishop Abioye in Family Worship, Pastor KK in Enthronement, even Papa Omolehin ministering for Arome Osayi and so forth.
. If we don’t understand how to manage this phase, we have missed the point.
Just few years ago, Bishop Oyedepo was falsely accused and heavily maligned for speaking against the 2015 leadership. Even church members of his own denomination didn’t spare him including some family members. Are you saying he was speaking for Winners’ at that point? No Sir, he spoke for the body of Christ. Those that were against him then are now again falsely accusing him of not saying anything. That’s why the video below of Sunday 19th April 2026 is added.
Prophets are usually maligned. If they are not then scripture isn’t being fulfilled. Nevertheless, you have never been recorded to say anything positive about most leaders especially Bishop Oyedepo who you show so much disdain for among others like Love world and COZA. All these ministries express genuine love by ignoring your insults but we leave it on record for posterity.
Sir, I have siblings all over the world. We don’t always agree on the same things. We don’t even attend same churches but it doesn’t stop the fact that we are one family. We are one!
You attacked denominations, Sir, you also pastor your own denomination.
You attacked churches that have camps and big churches, you also have your Shiloh Prayer Camp.
They give to orphanages and own schools, you also own your own orphanage.
They fly private jets, Sir, you only fly business class in this challenging economy.
They preach holiness and giving. You also preach holiness and giving.
The only thing you do that they don’t do is pour out insults and mockery with attacks that sometimes appears envious.
Sir is there a ministry of attacks in the Kingdom?
Finally you say Pastor Adeboye is not a Father, we all know he is a father.
You say Pastor Kumuyi is not a father
We all know he is a father
You say Bishop Oyedepo is not a father
We all know he is a father
He is my own father too
You say Pastor Olukoya is not a father
We all know he is a father
We all know they are fathers and we Honour them as such
Sir, as a minister of over 50 years. we know you are a father.
You also know that no true son uses his left hand to indicate his father’s house.
Thank you for understanding Sir
The Church is marching on.

Re:
“I will hear of fathers and I ask myself-which father?
Nigerian Christianity has no father.
Nigerian Christianity has no father.
One young man was speaking so intensely, saying Enoch Adeboye and David Oyedepo should speak out, and I asked myself, are these the fathers of Christianity in Nigeria?
Without sounding disrespectful, These are denominational leaders. Christianity in Nigeria has no father. A father would be someone who looks after us all, not just promoting denominational agenda and competing over who is building a one-mile auditorium while another tries to build two miles. One has one aircraft, another wants three. The rivalry, fhe competition has no spiritual content.”
Dont get me wrong, Papa Adeboye is a very successful respected man of God but he is in Redeemed.
Kumuyi is in Deeper Life
Olukoya is in MFM
Does Olukoya know what is happening to a certain brother in Seventh Day Adventist
Does Kumuyi know what is happening to a person in Jehovah’s Witness
But these are also Christians
So a person that will be our father cannot be a denominational person
He has to deroge himself from denominational doggedness and extremism…
That’s why nobody is saying anything
We have denominational fathers
They are denominational fathers
