Covenant University turned 20 just last Friday, October 21 2022. The University Community engaged in a week-long thanksgiving and praise to God with the theme: “COME AND SEE THE WORKS OF GOD”.
The following are some of the undeniable acts of God at Covenant University:
- Infrastructure
In 20 years by the hand of God, the university campus has grown from four major buildings infrastructure to a glorious city with world class infrastructures.
- Student’s Subscription
In 20 years, God has enabled Covenant University to redeem her status as the most highly subscribed private university in Nigeria. Church Gist. Validated by over 50 per cent of the top 10 highest JAMB scorers applying to Covenant University including the best student in JAMB for 2021.
- Uninterrupted Academic Activities and over 21,000 Graduates.
In 20 years, God has granted the university an uninterrupted academic calendar that has resulted in over 21,000 graduates till date. Church Gist. Many of whom are making undeniable impacts in their various endeavours.
- Unending Financial Supply.
In 20 years, God has made abundant financial provisions for the university. We have never lacked, begged or borrowed to run the university or pay staff salaries. Church Gist. Conferences and publications sponsorship has been gloriously funded with ease.
- Awards Won by Students
At several times in the past 20 years, Covenant University undergraduate students have continued to win national and international awards. Church Gist. Including the First Class graduates of CU emerging tops at the Presidential Scholarship Scheme for Innovation and Development three times in a row.
- University with the Most Employable Graduates.
In 20 years, God has made this university the training ground for a highly responsible and contributive workforce, validated by Student Report naming Covenant University as the university with the most employable graduates in Nigeria.
- Grants and Awards
In 20 years, the favour of God has attracted numerous corporate and research awards and grants to the university including JAMB Merit Award as the Most Compliant University In Keeping To Admission Guidelines, Best Tertiary Institution Website / Portal Award, African Most Impactful Quality Education University of the Year by The African Brand Leadership Merit Awards, International Sustainable Campus Network Excellence Award, Africa’s Best World Class Quality Education Private University of the Decade Award, Best Entrepreneurship University of the Year by Nigeria Small Scale SME National Business Awards.

Over these 20 years, God has always supplied quality faculty and staff to run the mandate of the university with a number of faculty members making global impact.
Finally, in just 20 years God has moved the university from a local university to a globally ranked university all to the glory of God.
