I welcome everyone here this morning in the precious name of Jesus. It remains the day the Lord has made and we shall rejoice and be glad in it. Church Gist. This morning in our month of Above Only in Supernatural Supplies, I decree that it shall be real in your life. The type of supplies you have never seen before, you shall see.
I’m speaking on “DIMENSIONS AND CHANNELS OF THE HARVEST”. Our objective is two fold. First of all, we start with understanding dimensions of giving and then we understand the dimensions and channels of the harvest. Joel 3:13. Church Gist. Whenever the harvest is ripe, it is time to put in the sickle.
Now, two things I want to say by way of introduction:
1. God is a rewarder of both the diligent seeker and the diligent sower. Hebrews 11:6. Genesis 8:22. If there’s a seedtime, God is duty bound to ensure that there is a harvest time. Psalm 126:5. Church Gist. If there’s a sowing, God is committed to ensure that there’s a reaping. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7. God is committed to the harvest if we are committed to the sowing. Acts 20:35. Church Gist. There’s the blessing in the giving, heavier than in the receiving. So, God is a rewarder of both the diligent seeker and the diligent sower.
2. It is not only important to be a good sower, it is vital to be a good reaper. There are many good sowers who fail to recognize how to reap. Joel 3:13a. Church Gist. So, it’s not only important to sow, it is important to reap and it’s important to know how to reap and channels of reaping or to know how the harvest comes.
So, we have two things we will address this morning: first, dimensions of giving or the basic giving types and then second, dimensions of harvest. So, let’s start.
Basic giving types:
1. Freewill Offering.
That is, service offering. Exodus 23:14-15. Deuteronomy 16:17. Psalm 96:8. It’s called freewill offering. It’s not a decision of man, it’s a spiritual ordinance. Mark 12:41-44. Church Gist. He (Jesus) was observing, during the offering time, He sat there and observed how the people gave. That was how He noticed the poor widow that gave the widow’s mite. This is freewill offering, it’s a service offering, a love offering where we give to God because of service.
2. Tithes.
Genesis 14:18-20. This was the first mention of the tithe in the Scripture and nobody told Abraham to tithe, it was his relationship with God and revelation that initiated the tithe. Church Gist. Almost 400 years before the Law of Moses was given, so the tithe is beyond the matter of the Law. It’s a matter of the covenant and relationship. Malachi 3:10.
We will not be able to go into all the benefit of these givings today but we have preached other messages that deal with them and you can know that each of them, they have their respective impact on the lives of the givers. Hebrews 7:8.
3. Sacrifice.
Genesis 8:20-22. Sacrifice is that which you give literally beyond normal givings. It cost you something. Psalm 20:1-3. Sacrifice is something that gives you a memorial before God. Church Gist. An altar of sacrifice is an altar of remembrance before God. It’s something that is given that costs you something. It’s not what you do all the time. Church Gist. Offering is what we do all the time, tithe is when income comes, sacrifice is what between you and God, you decide to offer a sacrifice and to shift your life.
4. Project giving.
Giving towards Kingdom project. Exodus 35:29. 1 Chronicles 29:3-5. This is giving to enhance Kingdom projects and Kingdom constructions. Church Gist. We’ve seen people who took a whole building from foundation to roofing on the behalf of God. We’ve seen people in the course of this construction do one thing or the other.
5. Outreach giving.
This is more like outreach or soul-winning seed. Whatever is given to bring in souls into the Kingdom. Zechariah 1:17. Church Gist. That is, “I empower my people with prosperity so that my Kingdom can spread on the wings of prosperity”. These projects and outreach, if you wish, are departments of sacrifice but they are target specific. Luke 5:1-3. Church Gist. That is somebody (Peter) made his livelihood available for the preaching of the Gospel. When He was done, He said, “launch your net into the deep for a draught”. Luke 5:4-6, and he did that and he enclosed a great multitude of fishes. Church Gist. This is giving to make the preaching of the Gospel to happen.

We just came back from Port-harcourt crusade, that was last weekend and one person asked and he said, “what is the bill for that crusade?” Given the bill and that bill was handled at once. Church Gist. Just one transfer, a whole bill that covers TV advert, paying for stadium, bus transportation of people to the ground, covered every single thing apart from the stage that we took from here and then the sound equipment and so on, every single thing else. Church Gist. That is giving for the spread of the Gospel and so on and so forth. We’ve had other places where this was done. So, this is outreach giving.
Somebody may not be able to say, “I will take the whole crusade” but, “this is my giving towards the monthly crusades”. Church Gist. We have Kaduna Crusade, we have London England in April, we have Kenya, Ethiopia and so on and so forth. Outreach giving.

6. Giving to less privileged.
I’m avoiding the use of the word, ‘poor’. Less privileged giving. Proverbs 19:17. Psalm 41:1-2. Church Gist. Giving to the less privileged, people that are lower than yourself that are in need, especially in the times we are in right now. People are looking for food to eat, stranded people, school children who cannot pay accommodation, parents who can’t pay accommodation for their children, people struggling to pay school fees and so on and so forth. Church Gist. You can do it directly, you can also label it and put it through the Church. We have a welfare outreach that minister to the less privileged every single month. People are empowered, sewing machines, bakery equipment and so on and so forth. Church Gist. So, less privileged giving, it has its own impact.
7. Priestly or Prophet’s giving.
Matthew 10:41. 1 Kings 17:13-15. 1 Corinthians 9:7-11. Genesis 12:2-3. This Priestly giving, I put it number last because of the tendency of misunderstanding and because of the preaching of it that will make it look like somebody is asking people to give them. Alright? Church Gist. Now, I want to make it very clear, this is done on a person’s volition. We have only one place in Scripture where the Prophet asked directly to be given. That was the Widow of Zarephath and he did that to rescue the woman from perishing. So, asking to be given is not the rule, Am I communicating? Anytime you see any Pastor, Prophet or Priest asking you, ‘bring me money’, that is an indication not to give. This is done as a man’s volition. Church Gist. As the Lord leads you, as you feel led in your heart that this person is a blessing to my life and I want to connect to that blessing, it is possible. But when you see someone in the name of a Priest or Pastor come to you and say, ‘The Lord said you should give me your car’. Tell him, ‘God said I should not give you’. Church Gist. I decided to clarify this and I’m happy because all of us are connected worldwide hearing this. Nobody should use the name of Priest or Pastor to oppress you to give what you’re not willing to give.
A Priest or Pastor, whatever told a woman, he said, ‘the Lord said you should sow seed to me’. She said, ‘okay, I will give you 100,000’. He said, ‘No. The Lord said it’s too Small’. (Laughs). Church Gist. That is fraud. Am I communicating? He said, “every man according as he purposeth in his heart” 2 Corinthians 9:7, not according as he’s pressured to give.

Please, I want to make that very clear and I believe that there’ll be no reason for misunderstanding this at all in Jesus’ precious name.
8. The first fruit giving.
Proverbs 3:9-10. I’ve demonstrated the first fruit before, it’s a bit different from the tithe. I will use two ways to explain. The tithe is, I got a 100,000, 10 percent of it is 10,000 that is tithe. Church Gist. There are two ways of first fruit and it depends on the leading of individuals. First way is when somebody says, ‘this is my first salary and I want to give it to God as first fruit’. Another way is, “I just got a salary increase. I was receiving 100,000 before and now, they’ve increased my salary to 120,000”. The first fruit is actually the increase. What came new. Church Gist. There are those who feel like, “well, I will just give the whole of the new salary to God”, that’s your decision but the first fruit is actually the first increase that steps into your hand and you give it of your volition and according as you feel led to do and the direction in which you intend to give it.
So, we have all of these givings itemized. Again, all is according to your volition and you can identify. What I do as a person is that I have a budget for each of these givings in percentage. Church Gist. I started with a certain percent such that you don’t have to think when something enters your hand. It is going in the direction it goes and you can increase it as the Lord blessed you.
Now, having said all of that, let us get into dimensions of harvest because it is important to know, “if my harvest is coming, how do I recognize?” Dimensions or channels of harvest.
1. Open Heavens over lives and endeavours.
What is the meaning of that? Malachi 3:10. This is how I want to explain it: it is experiencing results beyond the scope of earthly conditions and circumstances. Church Gist. When God decides to open the Heavens over a person’s life, it causes you to experience results beyond the scope of earthly conditions and circumstances. Church Gist. What is prevailing on the earth, especially the earth we’re living in now, both in this country and globally that I can cause you to see things that is beyond what you normally expect to see.
Two examples, Isaac in the land of the Philistines. Genesis 26:1-3, 12-14. He was experiencing results that were beyond the scope of the prevailing condition. Church Gist. Everybody was in famine but his case was different because he existed under open Heavens.
Also, example of Joseph in Potiphar’s house. Genesis 39:2-5. This was a slave that was prospering in a strange land by virtue of the working of the covenant.
– I see God doing that for somebody!
– in this season when men say they are cast down, you shall be saying, there’s a lifting up!
– Shout the loudest Amen!
2. Blessing of the work of the hands.
Deuteronomy 28:8. The Blessing of the Lord is looking for the work of your hands. ‘God bless me’. Church Gist. Listen, there’s a limit to the blessing of salary. ‘Lord, bless me’, they increase your salary by 50,000 or 20,000. ‘God, bless me’, they increase your salary again when there’s a work of hands. If you’re a salaried person, I’m not necessarily asking you to resign, no, I’m asking you that in addition to that salaried work you’re doing, if there’s something that money can be put into for multiplication. Church Gist. While you do that, don’t become unfaithful to where you collect your basic salary except if you want to resign. Is there a balance? So, you remain very faithful to your regular duty but if you really want to explore beyond limitations, give God work of hands. Church Gist. Even if you don’t have a work of hand, you can invest where there’s a work of hands. I’m not talking of where they bring 10 naira and it will multiply to times three every month, that’s not what I’m talking about. All these ponzi scheme, pyramidal scheme and all of that, that’s not the type I’m talking about. Church Gist. Where there’s the work of hand, you take one step and God gives you the result of a thousand steps all of a sudden. If you’re a covenant practitioner, a tither, a giver and you’re able to present God with work of hands, then you have presented him an opportunity for harvest.
– I announce to somebody here today, everyone who is a hard worker that is experiencing any limitations, today, the limitation is over!
3. Divine ideas, inspiration and wisdom.
I’m talking about wealth generating ideas and inspiration. Church Gist. That is, God may say, “this my child, always faithful in giving, tithing and this and that, let me drop this idea in your mind that you’ll pursue to become an effortless billionaire”. That was the idea that Jacob used in the house of Laban. Genesis 30:37-43. Church Gist. By one idea, he exploded. Example number 2, Solomon. 1 Kings 10:23-25.
– I prophesy upon somebody here, the kind of ideas and inspiration that will change your life, I declare their release now!
How many of us know that some of the world’s greatest billionaires are ideas driven. Church Gist. If you go to social media and all of that, you’ll see a lot of people who brought certain ideas on how some people will place their picture and all manner of things. Before you know it, everything exploded. I believe that the world is ruling because the people of God have not decided to take their place. Church Gist. I say it all the time. In every generation, the most impactful and influential are designed to be the people of the Kingdom. Look at the time of Abraham, Isaac and all the times, you see them. This is divine ideas, inspiration and wisdom.
– anybody getting anything here, say a loud Amen.
Your harvest can come as an idea that will explode you into resources.
4. Divine favour and opportunity.
God will bring His favour and opportunity that will be His reward or return to your Kingdom efforts. Church Gist. God releasing favour on you that makes you take position. Deuteronomy 33:23. When you’re satisfied with favour, all you do is to take possession of what is yours. In the land of Egypt, one of the things that made Joseph in Egypt was favour. Acts 7:10. Favour gave Joseph the whole of Egypt. Favour is a harvest. Church Gist. God opened the door and an opportunity that your money couldn’t have opened, that nothing could have opened. It’s a harvest.
5. Restoration of lost things and years.
God can make what the enemy took from you before return as a portion of your harvest. Church Gist. God bringing back into your life what the enemy took previously from your life. I’m one of those who believe that nothing is too lost to be found in God. Restoration of lost years. Joel 2:25. Church Gist. There’s somebody here God is talking to, what you think has left you or is lost is not lost.
– I announce today, it is returning back. They are returning back!
– shout the loudest Amen!
Israel spent 400 years in Egypt, their fathers laboured without pay. When God decided to pay them, in one day, He paid them the arrears of 400 years of labour. Church Gist. They emptied Egypt. Exodus 12:36. That was what they used to build the Tabernacle in the wilderness. That was necessary throughout the wilderness.
Listen, my brothers and sisters, in your covenant walk, God is going to pay you what the devil took from your father. Church Gist. I may not be talking to everybody but I’m talking to somebody here, God is going to put systems under pressure to release for you what the devil took from your father and your father’s house and your lineage, the labour of your mother is not going to go in vain. Church Gist. God is going to release the harvest back to you.
– If you’re saying Amen, shout the loudest Amen.
– Look at your neighbour, say, get ready for the harvest that is coming your way.
– Give the Lord a big clap and a shout of praise.
6. Divine orchestration and transfer of resources.
When God decided to orchestrate and transfer resources to you as your harvest. There’s no Scripture that captures it aptly like Deuteronomy 6:10-12. Church Gist. Where a house is full that you did not build or fill is handed over to you. It can happen in various ways. House worth 150 million where someone says, “whatever you have, bring”. He said, “Why are you saying?” He said, “I really like you or something is telling me (and that something is the Holy Ghost) to just hand this thing over to you. Church Gist. I just want you to drop something. It’s just that I don’t want to give it free of charge”. You can drive car from car shop with 1,000 naira. I’m talking from experience while I was a Medical Doctor.
You can step into a house, that is under Divine orchestration. We talked about the mystery of supernatural wealth transfer but God is an orchestrator. Church Gist. Young man submitting under the cover of this commission came here the other day and was telling me how a house that has reached a lintel level in a highbrow area was given to him for, is it 5 million or 6 million. I told him, I said, the land alone there should be up to 50 million or 20-something, alone. Church Gist. He has almost finished the house to move in and he came to town newly. Many of us are looking for harvest of raw cash. If God gave you a property of 150 million for 50 million, he has dashed 100 million without your notice. That is, you just got a harvest of 100 million. He gave you a car that others buy for 50 million and they just sent it to you like that and said, all you need is just do custom clearance and you did that for a few thousand. Church Gist. I am not just preaching, I am prophe-preaching, I am preachisying.
– somebody get ready because this particular week, this final point I mentioned shall happen to you!
– Stand on your feet and shout the loudest Amen!
Beloved, if there’s anytime to hold on to the covenant, it is the time of scarcity, the time of shortage, the time where the systems of the earth are unreliable. Church Gist. Some years ago, billionaires got wiped out of the world’s billionaires list. Some committed suicide. I can’t remember the year. Crashed to zero because the system of the earth is subject to failure. Church Gist. Some people say there are people who don’t do any covenant practice or walk with God but they have some resources.
1. You cannot guarantee the future of these resources
2. Their eternal destiny is in total jeopardy. What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his soul?
We are talking about the kind of wealth of Job. Integrity with prosperity with a guarantee of eternity and there are so many people who have allegiance to all manner of altars. Church Gist. It’s not written on their forehead, some are deep in satanism. Let me tell you something, there’s a limit to which hard work will take a man but in certain realms, there’s something you bow for. Satan told Jesus, “bow for me and I will give you the whole world and all its glory”. When you see people who seem to own the world and its glory and they’re not connected to God, there’s something they have bowed for. Church Gist. So that you don’t feel deceived. Many people don’t talk about it, they won’t talk about it. I’ve heard of a billionaire, world billionaire, all of you know him, when they were talking about God and worshipping God and so on, he said he doesn’t believe in God or heaven. Church Gist. He said in case if there’s hell, he doesn’t mind going there because hell will be very interesting because from what he’s seeing, it’s like the majority of the people will go to hell so it’s better to go where more people are. Church Gist. That is a celebrated billionaire globally talking like that. Do you understand what I’m talking about? That is directly or indirectly communicating where their allegiances are, where they have bowed for. So, you don’t use people who don’t know God as example of nothing because you don’t know the altars behind their glory. Church Gist. But there’s a Glory that is superior to glory and that is the Glory, the one that came from above. The Glory that Abraham, Isaac, Job and all of these people walked in.
– Say a loud Amen!
That is why it is critical to walk in the covenant because the covenant is our covering.
