Ezekiel 36:26-27.
This morning, we have ‘EMPOWERMENT FOR OBEDIENCE’. God said that we have heard too many things but we have done little or nothing with what we have heard. So there is a need for my people to be empowered to obey me!
This Message is not only applicable to a Spiritual environment, even in your secular life, you need an empowerment for obedience. Otherwise, you will just be going from one office to another office in the name of offence but your problem is disobedience!
I was in one office a few days ago for an 8 am appointment. I had to be there at 7:45 am because I needed them. Church Gist. And most of you approach life as if life needs you, but you are the one who needs life. You are still backward in your mindset!
In Warri, not in America or Abuja, once you are on time to the office and you place your finger on a sensory device, it shows a green light but once it is 8:01 am, it begins to show a red light which means that you are late to the office and your money will be deducted! If they have to deduct money from your head for coming late anywhere- Spiritually or secularly, you will be completely bankrupt.
Once you don’t regulate your life, life will regulate you under pressure!
There is one notorious guy in this city that travelled abroad and then, I was telling somebody that he should leave all these people in Warri that are making mouth up and down, if they get abroad, they will be humble. And he said, “I believe you!”. I have this friend who shook Warri to a standstill but we are asking him now how he is operating every week in the country where he resides abroad with all the rules and regulations.
And he said, ” The system is not designed to make anyone afraid but everybody is designed to obey the system”. Church Gist. If you break traffic laws, you don’t need to fight anyone but a few days later, you will see a paper in front of your house billing you for the things that you did and thought that nobody saw, but the camera picked it.
Stay where you can manage oo, only Nigeria can manage you! For instance, abroad, you waste water and at a point you will find out that your tap is no longer running because your water limit for the month has been exhausted, but the house is still your own oo but water can’t flow! Church Gist. You have exhausted the water rate! The system fights you, you don’t fight anybody!
So when you hear, ‘Empowerment for obedience’. You will say, ‘They want make we obey God again’. No! It’s not just Church but anywhere you find yourself in this life, you need to be empowered to walk in obedience!
And then, you need to upgrade yourself because life is a developing world! Church Gist. There are fueling stations that you get to now and you don’t see any attendant! That you are a fuel attendant now does not mean that you have a job because there is a way that the system will improve and you will lose your job! The way that you are going, is like you want to die at this level- Be improving!
I’m not teaching you this for you to survive Church but for you to survive life! Because Church is two hours while life is twenty-four hours. Church is not everyday but life is everyday! Church Gist. People are getting wiser by the day and adjusting! If you observe any system or leader who does not have problems with managing people, he is thinking ahead of the people!
If that young man was to be in Warri, he would have been fighting everyday with people but he got to that country and became humble!- Nobody to fight with! Gossip only operates where people are jobless! Our joblessness is the reason for our uselessness!
So I want to bring you to a place of pressure to obey!- Obeying at will! I know that you want abundance, protection, healing and deliverance! But everything about life is regulated by obedience!
There is a Spirit for obedience, for you to do and keep the statutes of God, the Spirit of obedience must work within you! Ezekiel 36:26-27. Without the empowerment of the Spirit of obedience, you can’t do the things that you want to do! Life is greater than will power!
We know so much but we have very little to show for the so much that we know because we lack the empowerment to obey!
We are in the days of knowledge!- From the internet, books and everywhere! Habbakuk 2:14. My sons came to visit me just to fellowship with me- one came from Benin and the other from Abraka, as one of them was going, I gathered books that were authored by me and other great men. Church Gist. He was surprised and said, “My father, this is too much!” I told him that he should go and read it and get to his next level. I also said, “It is not enough to read it, do what you find there!”
If you have done ten percent of the things that you know, you won’t be where you are today! You have known enough, start doing the little that you know! The Spirit must enter into you for you to do what has been spoken to you! That’s what you are going with this morning oo. That you have heard ‘Love your wife’ but you still beat your wife, which other book do we need to write on marriage! You still keep malice and misbehave! It’s not a new book, Message and revelation that you need, what you need now is the empowerment to love even when you don’t feel like loving!
Now, why are we having problems here, Ephesians 2:1 and 2. There is a spirit called the spirit of disobedience!- Powers in the air! One of the first things that they teach children is obedience! This is because if you miss it at infancy, your destiny of greatness will end in shipwrecks! Church Gist. This is the spirit behind all the woes and abominations of man!- The spirit of disobedience!
I keep begging God every day, ‘Help me to obey, knowledge is not my problem’! Sometimes you like the air conditioner! One day I turned on the air conditioner but my body does not want it!
Even Mama does not want it that day but something in me wants to use the headship and the authority of man to leave the air conditioner on- Church Gist. The thing is killing me oo because I was having signs of catarrh, cold and cough but the spirit that rules in the atmosphere that will make people do what will kill them said, ‘Leave it, you are the leader and man of the house’!
When this spirit of disobedience is upon your life, you will use your hand and kill yourself- You will joyfully bury your destiny! So I just slept off and woke up and saw that it was only the fan that was turned on! Mama had turned it off and that spirit kept telling me to go and turn on the air conditioner that was previously turned off and another voice asked me to leave it because this woman (Mama) loves me and has done exactly what my body needed at that time!
I’ve observed that I can use the air conditioner in the car or in the office but whenever I sleep and wake up with it; I will always wake up with a cough, cold and catarrh. So it is that spirit of disobedience that will want you to go ahead and do that which will kill you.
-Anything that the enemy has orchestrated to bury you, with the Spirit of empowerment for obedience, may you be free finally!
What is obedience?
1.Obedience is compliance with God’s instructions. I heard one man say that for thirty years, he has not drank coke and I went ahead to also decide that I will no longer drink coke. Church Gist. The following week, I drank three bottles. You don’t emulate declarations and utterances without an empowerment to obey them!
-When this water touches you, anything fighting your financial destiny must die!
That thing that tells you to sleep when your shop should be opened, then at 2 pm when you wake up, you will say, “Today don pass, let me not go today, I’ll wait till tomorrow!” You have missed the blessings for that day because He daily loaded us with benefits. The Devil did not come; it was you and Mr. Sleep!
2. Obedience is coming under the command of the commander. One of the greatest challenges that I have as a Pastor is that I have no one to command me. So I constantly look for people to command me by myself Jeremiah 7:23-24.
3.Obedience is absolute surrender to the Will of God Matthew 26:39. Take me to any place in the world, I will still come back and pastor this Church. Some Pastors are waiting for money and breakthrough to leave pastoring. Church Gist. Give me any billions, it will never take me away from the altar because my will is completely sold out to the altar. The problem that you are still having is that you have a say when God is still saying his own say.
4.Obedience is doing the ridiculous to access the miraculous! It may not make sense! A woman met me after prayers on Thursday and said, “My mother just can’t breathe, she has been on oxygen for close to twenty four hours, not responding, I don’t want my mother to die”.
God took me to where it all started and I said, “ Somebody left a position for another to come and you all assumed that that person is dead but that person is still alive and is still fighting the position” and she said, ”Yes!” I said that I will solve the matter now! I was talking with the authority of someone who knows the God he has heard!
That was the testimony that I put up on Answers Assembly whatsapp platform. She said, “The best thing that has happened to me is to have you as a Spiritual father!”- That is the voice of somebody whose mother could have been buried in a witchcraft coven. Church Gist. I asked her to get me her picture and a clean bottle of water so that I can work it out! And I did and finished what I need to finish and the same day, she came out of Oxygen. Church Gist. Water does not make sense; to print her picture does not make sense! If it makes sense, God is not in it!
We need wine and He said, put water in the water pots- it was not logical! It is the ridiculous that gives birth to the miraculous! If she had argued about following the instructions, she would have had her burial! Church Gist. And God will remain God!
5.Obedience is doing what is written to handle what is happening. And in case that you don’t know what is written, what is happening will still happen.
6. Obedience is doing what is revealed where it is not written. Bring a picture and water and see that your mother will not die! Where can you find it in the Bible? Obedience is doing what is revealed! All these, “My mind is telling me, if you like no follow your mind, nobody will mind you in this life!” That thing that your mind is telling, it’s your God that is telling you! As long as it is something good and positive, never play with it! It is revealed but may not be written! Psalm 103:7. Remember that the letter killeth but the Spirit giveth life!
7. Obedience means being subject to a higher authority in the Faith and in the Church Hebrew 11:13. The command may not be sweet but it’s for your life not to remain bitter! Hebrews 13:17. Every department in the Church needs to know the Bible so that you can quote correctly! Higher authorities rule you for you not to be ruined! The Bible is very deep! Church Gist. The question is: Which Spiritual covering is watching your soul per time? Hebrews 13:17.
My own is to declare God’s instruction for His people and your own is to obey, if you don’t obey nothing moves me oo. I don’t have an emergency anointing again. My anointing is that of prevention because prevention is better than cure! If your Shepherd is to call for a meeting that will counter the meeting in the demonic coven against your own head, then you are nonchalant! Church Gist. Take cover under the blood or they will slaughter you! Don’t kill yourself about people who don’t want to take God seriously. Most of you are depressed on behalf of people! Hold your God well!
A doctor said, “Your wife should not take in for the next one year so that she can recover very well”. I said, “Yes Sir”. And I said, “Since I don’t have another wife or a girlfriend, I must sleep with you!” Then, after about two to three months, I discovered that she was pregnant against medical advice! I said, “No, we will remove it!” She said abortion is a sin, and I said, “Yes, but it’s not a sin to save your life because they said that there will be a relapse if you go through the stress of pregnancy!
And then, like a Sheep would talk to a Shepherd, I went to my Shepherd- The then state Pastor of Winners Chapel, Pastor Abraham Ojeme. I said, “Sir, you are aware of what the doctor said, we have gone contrary to the doctor’s advice and I need your prayer and cover for us to get rid of it”. And then he looked at me and said, “Boy!!! It’s the boy that you are praying for! Leave it!” And I said, “Sir, what about if the doctor’s concern comes to play, won’t I be blamed? He said, “I am your Pastor, the State Pastor of every other Pastors in this State, I join my Faith with you, nothing will happen! Church Gist. Keep it! The miracle came when you would have a good reason to pull it out! So that you would never know what it means to have this miracle again! Leave the battle and face the blessing!
You must have a Shepherd whose word is final! As I came back, I said, “Thank you Jesus, we bless Your Name for blessing us and I removed my mind from it! And nine months after, the boy, Omodiagbe landed! It was a Shepherd who I valued, respect and fears his words and authority that spoke and I left the matter. Whether good or bad instructions, when your Shepherd speaks, listen twice! I may tell you what does not make sense or that which is against the philosophy of life- Listen to me! Church Gist. What that Prophet told me was against Medical Science but I listened.
One of the best gifts that I have in this life is that of my boy! Once I am depressed, I play with him! But I would have used my hand with the spirit of disobedience to pull it out!
You don’t choose Pastors; God gives you Pastors Jeremiah 3:15. A Pastor is a gift and not a choice! If you choose Pastors, any small thing, you don vex, I no do again, I no come again! Church Gist. That’s why the boy is a very stubborn boy because his father is a very stubborn father that wants to abort him!
Sometimes, I will look at him and say, “All my bad sides that you carry, May God deliver you from them!- Take only the good sides!”
-May you listen to the voice of your Shepherd!
If I say, “Come out”, come out! And if I say, “Stay”, stay! Even if I may be wrong in the morning, I will be right in the evening! I told somebody, “You want your marriage to work?” Be very far from your mother! The anointing that comes from your mother is the type that break marriages, don’t hate her, she’s not your enemy, still love her, but when it comes to marriage, be far from her but she is still your mother! And then she obeyed! It was not easy but she obeyed!
Today, she’s enjoying her marriage and her mother is enjoying her own life where she is! Church Gist. But once upon a time, they looked like inseparable twins! They would come together and gossip about the husband and plan evil against the man.
-Receive the empowerment for obedience!
Now, seven ways to empower your obedience.
1.Be willing Isaiah 1:19.
2.Be prompt in your obedience. God cannot talk to you on Monday and on Tuesday and Wednesday, you are still analyzing. A voice tells you to carry all your clothes and give to the less privilege, there is a coming glory that the voice is tied to. And after three months, you are still thinking! Church Gist. Abraham departed immediately and did not debate Genesis 12:1-4.
3.Avoid half obedience. Half obedience is full disobedience! 1 Samuel 15:3-24. I have suffered something in this life, when God said, “Do this and this”. I did one and left the other one! – I cried, because that was one of the biggest pains that I have experienced in this life! People adviced me and I followed them. That was when I knew that you were sent to the people and not by the people.
Saul was asked to kill both man and beast and he took one King Agag alive. Church Gist. That one that he took, took him out of the Kingdom 1 Samuel 15:8.
-The problem that prayer cannot solve, may you not find that problem!
Even if you are doing it to please God, as far as it is far from God’s instructions you will suffer for it! 1 Samuel 15:15.
-Can I pray for my Church members? Anything that will make you bigger than me in your own eyes, may that demon never locate you! You will be bigger than me in glory, wealth, prosperity and property. But when it comes to my instructions, may you remain smaller than me!
Otherwise, the day that your enemy will want to kill you, you will mock and disobey the voice that wants to save you! The advice may be sweet but it is an error! 1 Samuel 15:21. If I take advice that I know is not good, it is because I know that I can survive the consequences! Church Gist. My wife knows that I have a policy that if you are in charge of the choice, you must be in charge of the consequences!
I don’t manage consequences for a choice that I am not part of. Whenever I want to make a decision, I go to the realm of consequence and find out whether I can be alive to manage it! If my answer is not in the affirmative, I will leave it!
Everybody may be deciding to go for that thing, I won’t decide but they will still come and tell me their problem! Anybody who walks in disobedience is walking in rebellion and rebellion is as a sin of witchcraft! What a witch suffers for witchcraft is what a Christian suffers for walking in disobedience! And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry 1 Samuel 15:23.
-Between now and 31st December, anyone that is yet to experience royalty in life for the things that you have disobeyed, may God give you the empowerment to obey and climb your throne! You are delivered from half obedience!
4. Obedience must be joyful Deuteronomy 28:47-48.
5.Obedience must be tireless Genesis 22:1-4. I have done some things for 26 years and I have not yet seen the results but I am still doing it! Even if at the end of the day that I didn’t see the results, I will still be grateful to God that those things made me a better Christian!
Somebody said, “If he gets to the last day and there was no Heaven, he won’t regret anything”. Church Gist. This is because the consciousness of Heaven made him avoid certain pitfalls and battles. So anywhere that God stays when we get there, there becomes Heaven! But when they tell you now that there is no Heaven, you will be misbehaving!
6. Obedience must be done without assumption! You don’t assume that God said that you should do something and you go and start discussing with people! Sarah wouldn’t have allowed Abraham to sacrifice their only son! – That would have been a costly assumption because Sarah would have killed Abraham before he kills Isaac! Mothers love their children more than the fathers! Even Mama here, loves our children more, I know! Look at the other assumption- when God asked Abraham to leave his father’s house to a place that He would show him. Abraham carried Lot!
At this point, he assumed that since all of them are staying together and God is calling him to leave his father’s house that Lot should be included! All the problems that he suffered at that time were because he took Lot, his nephew.
This your best friend, family friends and informant that is planted around you- exposing you to your enemies, who gave them to you? There are voices that you cannot hear until certain persons exit your life! I’m very conscious of evil energy.
Whenever I begin to sense that, I’ll quickly look for God and drive you! Your next level is tied to that your best friend that is not of God that you are ready to let go! Church Gist. Most of you are carrying evil baggage. And until Lot goes, you cannot access your lot in life!
That was the mistake that we made in this Church when we started Answers oo. I assumed that since they were my boys in Winners Chapel that they should follow me. Church Gist. One of them was in the bookshop, one was my Personal Assistant and the other was my driver. God told me to go, but He didn’t say, “Carry these boys!”
I assumed and I gathered these boys and they nearly killed me in the Ministry! Sometimes, they will carry out a meeting and plan against me. Sometimes I would even meet them in a conference room and about two to three persons that were not in the meeting would send me a message saying, “You think that you can say anything and we won’t hear, we heard what you told your staff!”
One day, I came to the Lord and said, ” Lord! Instead of you to leave me, let Lot go!”. Church Gist. And God cleared all of them. People were mourning and feeling for me but I saw it was a deliverance!
-Anybody that needs to go for you to grow! I declare a disconnection now!
They came after money and not after mantle! And when they couldn’t see the money from the Ministry, they left both the money and the mantle. And God replaced them with Pastors who want the mantle and not the money! Church Gist. When you come after mantle, you will also have money with you! But those who come after money, will miss both the mantle and the money!
Unlike my present Pastors, I bought cars, paid house rent and hospital bills for some of them! Church Gist. I dash them my money! Anybody’s mind that your good cannot change, that your good will kill you, stop doing it! My present Pastors are the replacements for the bereavement!
-May your replacement be better than your bereavement!
7. Obedience must be done with patience Hebrews 10:36. You may say, “I don obey God for one month and two months and nothing happened”, something is wrong with you- You lack patience!
-Be empowered to obey God patiently!
Even when you don’t understand your Shepherd, obey him! I told one of my members to break up from a relationship. You know why? How can your father die, and your husband-to-be can’t come! Your widowed mother! Your husband-to-be can’t call her to say, “Mama, I hear wetin happen!” When you see signs, run from wonder! Church Gist. Otherwise, you go carry wonder dey go counseling for every Church oo. It must be signs and wonders!
When the devil shows you signs through any person, run from the wonder! Run for your life! Daddy, I’ve told him and he is begging- that is what I want! The mercy is not complete because he must see your mama and pay condolence! He go bring beverages and show love! He who can’t show you love before marriage will kill you after marriage!
Na me be your Papa, when it comes to instructions we no dey debate! My relationship with you is not discussion, it is instruction! When we get to discussion, you will kill something in me that should help you! Church Gist. And I’ll now start seeing you as a colleague, mate and contemporary! You are finished! You will forever remain a child under this grace!
Even if you marry him and the marriage turns out to be good, I have not failed! I have only done what a father would do!
The seven greatest obediences on earth.
Romans 16:26.
If you have faith in the matter of obedience, you will not have challenges obeying God when He speaks!
1.The obedience of the great commission. Somebody invited you to Answers Assembly, who have you invited? Somebody got you born again, who have you gotten born again? Church Gist. On the last day, we will not be remembered for the Church that we attended but we will only be remembered by the souls that we won! On your crown, how many souls will be there? Never hate sin to the point where you hate sinners in the process! You must know how to separate you hatred for sin and hatred for sinners!
2.The obedience of tithing and giving Genesis 8:22. Pray from today till tomorrow, if you are not a giver you will die a beggar! Church Gist. Even this water that I am giving you will carry and flood you, if you pray from now till tomorrow without being a giver!
3.Obedience to ‘Husband love your wife and wives submit to your husband’!
Don’t wait for your wife to submit, love her the way you should love her! Then she will submit! Don’t wait for your husband to love you, submit to him, the way that you should submit! Church Gist. No marriage can survive without the woman being loved by the man and the woman having to submit! You can forgive your girlfriend but you can’t forgive your wife, then you’re a demon!
And the truth is that people forgive who they love! I made a post on the seven things that I love about Mama on her birthday and people were clapping for me, I can also choose to write the things that I hate about her! Marriage is what you choose to see! Church Gist. Na only you marriage and wife bad? You are not mature!
4.Obedience to God’s specific direction and guidance. When they say love someone? What does it mean? The Bible said, “Love covereth a multitude of sin!” It means there are many things about that person that you need to cover! There are many things that you need to cover for her! And to the extent that you don’t want to cover, you have failed as a man! Why you are the covering to that person is because of the things that you are covering for them! Church Gist. As a man, you are a covering to cover!
5. Obedience in walking in love with everyone! Romans 13:8, John 15:17.
6. Obedience in living a holy life 1 Peter 1:15-16. Without holiness, your life will have holes! There is a demon behind a young man following a married woman! It is a demon of disobedience! When this demon is after you, you don’t know when you will sleep with somebody’s wife! There is a depth that you will reach in God and you won’t even sleep with your wife when you have certain meetings, fasting and encounters Exodus 19:15. Don’t get carried away, holiness is still the pathway to heaven!
Don’t enjoy the mercifulness of God and begin to mess anyhow! A girl was to marry, and when the man carried the girl to show his parents, the man said, “I love your choice but I can’t hide this from you, I have dated your wife-to-be, I have slept with her! So that you don’t end up being angry with your father!” Church Gist. If you choose to go ahead, no problem! But I can’t be a party to my son marrying my former girlfriend. This free sexual relationship that you are giving out is the freedom that you will look for one day and you will never find!
7. Obedience in coming to Zion regularly Hebrew 10:25. Sunday-Sunday Christians no dey work! You must attend Sunday Services, Wednesday meetings,Thursday morning prayer and Friday evening meetings. If I have a member that a prophet or prophetess dupes his or her money, you are a bastard! Pastors be careful! Church Gist. You can never be big secularly and in your career with the approach that you give to the work of God. The level that you are looking for, those that are already in that level are still looking for God!
-For this empowerment for obedience, let it rest upon you finally!
