ENGAGING THE WONDERS OF PROMPT RESPONSE TO SCRIPTURAL INSTRUCTIONS AND PROPHETIC DIRECTIONS.
John 12:35-36. Yet a little while is light with you, you don’t engage with it, it disappears; it fades away. After every daybreak comes nightfall. Amos 3:7. There is a mouthpiece (Prophets), He speaks to His people through them. Every step taken in line with the revelation of the truth is a proof of one’s faith. James 2:18. When the truth does not move a believer into action, he is yet to believe. Hebrews 11:7. Church Gist. Faith is a mover. True faith moves whosoever claims to believe into action in line with what he claims to believe. Genesis 12:4. Any Scriptural instruction of prophetic direction that does not stir obedience in an individual, he has not yet believed. So this thing does not need any prophet to come and talk to you when the Word has spoken to us. That is, any Scriptural instruction or prophetic direction that does not stir obedience in an individual, he has not yet believed.
Please note, unbelief is evil and its mission is to rob the believer of what belongs to them in redemption. Hebrews 3:12. Unbelief is evil! Its mission is to kill, to steal and to destroy. Unbelief is evil. John 10:10. Some are toying with: ‘I don’t believe Jesus’. They are toying with eternal death without knowing. Unbelief is evil and it does that by blinding the eyes of people to the glorious Gospel of Christ. You can keep struggling with life. 2 Corinthians 4:4. Church Gist. You know? Without light faith is not in view. It is light that stirs faith, it’s revelation that stirs faith and when it blocks our access to it then there can’t be faith. Please note, unbelief is evil!! It robs people, the believer of God’s provisions for them. We saw how Christ illustrated Kingdom secrets through parables. John 3:12. So parables are to help boost our understanding of the truth. Matthew 13:34. Because these illustrations help the understanding of the people. The Parable of the Sower? Easy. And He said, I’m talking about the Word, that when the Word is sown into your good heart it will grow and bring forth fruits. To the level of your understanding of it. So it becomes easy, they can relate with it.
So here are some parables this morning: If any of us truly believes that soul-winning brings believers into favour with God would you respond or not? Nothing flies like favour, it can turn a slave to an heir of the family. Nothing flies like favour, it can bring a man from the prison and catapult him to the palace. Nothing flies like favour, it can turn a cupbearer to a governor. If we truly believe that Kingdom advancement prayers, soul-winning, follow-up brings believers into favour; if you truly believe, you act. Church Gist. The problem is, how many truly believe? ‘Go after my things first and I will add all these other things that others are dying to get’. If you truly believe it, you move. I did, I moved. Now, if we truly believe that Kingdom advancement endeavours such as soul-winning, Kingdom advancement prayers secure the health and vitality of believers, you won’t need any coercion to act – it is the cheapest medication without any side effects. A faithful ambassador is entitled to healthy living. An ambassador is one reconciling the World back to God. Proverbs 13:17. 2 Corinthians 5:17-20. It’s every believer’s right, every believer’s ministry to reconcile the World back to God. And when you do that as an ambassador, you are entitled to healthy living.
-In the name of Jesus, every engaging Winner this year is declared sickness-free, disease-free. Church Gist. Anyone under any attack on his or her health is now liberated. Thank You, Jesus!
John 15:2. So, fruit-bearing (in the Kingdom) keeps us fit.
-And that’s your portion this year.
If we believe that soul-winning guarantees having miracle children without IVF, without complex medications and all that. Will any parent in waiting wait anymore? You jump into it. If you believe that bringing two souls to the Kingdom in February… You say February? February is too long! Say: Tomorrow. (Laughing). Why? You believe in the package, you believe in the returns. Our problem is just to believe that what God says, He will do. He will do it when we do what He tells us to do. This is where the problem lies. ‘Oh! My case is complex’! Church Gist. Your ignorance is complex! I wrote a piece just two days ago, ‘And Beware of the Affliction of Ignorance’. Kingdom keys are very simple, they are in most cases, they are believed to be too simple to be true. 2 Corinthians 11:3. A woman here was out, over fifty (years old) and witnessing, they began to mock her in her environment. ‘The reason you are going about is because you don’t have children’. She became pregnant in the same outreach season and gave birth, I think in her fifty-one or fifty-two (years old). We saw the baby here in Church. So simple, yet so true!
Now if you believe that turning men to righteousness makes a star of believers, would you pursue it or not? Because God asked me one time – ‘There is a place for you on top if you are interested’? I said: ‘I’m interested’. ‘Then, whatever I tell you to do, do it. You don’t need to cry and weep and break your head, if I tell you something do it’. If you believe that turning many to righteousness makes your light to shine out of obscurity, bring you to the limelight of life, make a star of you. Church Gist. Would you engage or not? You sure will. Does anybody hate to be on top here? Does anybody hate to be on top? The bottom is not good when the top is available. When there is access to the top, why hang around at the bottom? Proverbs 11:30. Daniel 12:3. Every Kingdom-passionate individual ends up a star, the circumstances notwithstanding. Every genuinely soul-passionate individual – Passionate on the prayer altar, passionate in pursuit after souls; except God’s Word is not true, that’s what it is. So stop crying for a change of story, engage in what changes people’s stories. Proverbs 3:35. So you want shame and reproach wiped off? Engage.
If you believe that soul-winning secures express answers to prayers. Will you pursue it or not? Isaiah 65:24. You will jump at it sir, you are not guessing anymore. Amen. John 15:16. So, soul-winning guarantees express answers to prayers. Church Gist. I once told you a story, I said to God: ‘Won’t You be patient for someone to pray before you answer’? He said: ‘Before they call I will answer, I’m committed. While they are yet speaking, I will perform’. You get to a point in your life where even things you never asked are answered. And what triggers that is your soul-passionate drive!
If we believe that Kingdom advancement endeavours such as soul winning puts a believer in command of the supernatural, I mean, you will jump. The colour of redemption is in the supernatural. The supernatural is ordained to be the natural estate of the believer…And when that grace comes on you, He blesses you first before going forth to bless others. Church Gist. “The husbandman that laboureth must be the first partaker of the fruits.” So when that flow of the supernatural comes on you, it blesses you first and flows through you to bless others. Can I hear your Amen?
He sent them to go and said “these signs shall follow them that believe.” As you go, signs follow you. You are outgoing, signs follow you. Church Gist. You are on your way going, signs follow you. Praise God! Amen! Mark 16:15-17,20, 2 Timothy 2:3-6.
If you believe that helping the challenged to get to Church where Christ will change their story entitles believers to honour from God, we will engage or not. Church Gist. Proverbs 14:28, 1 Samuel 2:30.
If you believe that praying Kingdom advancement prayers entitles believers to open order of reward, you won’t have to tell anybody that you are praying. Your story will be changing for even the blind to see. “God that sees you in your prayer closet pressing the Kingdom forward, pushing the Ark of revival, He will reward you openly. Church Gist. God that sees you praying and fasting for souls to be saved, for the Church to be growing, He will reward you openly.” That’s what He does. Awesome God! That’s what He does.
So our inaction is obviously a proof of unbelief in the reality of the returns from Kingdom advancement stewardship. Church Gist. You can’t believe in those amazing returns and not engage.
Can I say this and it will help us? The disciples asked Jesus “we have left all and we have followed thee, what shall we have then?” He said ‘shut up!’ He said “whatever you have left for my sake and the sake of the Gospel, you shall have hundred folds of it in this present time and in the world to come.” Mark 10:28-30. Church Gist. So Jesus believes in our confidence in the returns. He believes in it. So it’s not ambition, “I’m not serving…” He said “He has not asked the seed of Jacob to seek Him in vain.”
– Your days of serving God in vain are over!
So understand that your engagement is absolutely to your benefit and my benefit. Absolutely! You think you are serving the Church, you are wasting your time. But the Bible said “with goodwill we serve God from the heart not with eyeservice.” Ephesians 6:6. Church Gist. You are a servant of Christ not a servant of a Church, not a servant of a leader. You are a servant of Christ and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
Lift up your right hand and bless the name of the Lord. Thank you Jesus! Glory to your name! Amen! Thank you Lord!
– It’s your year of fortune!
Now the question then…If you are not not moving, you don’t believe it. If nothing said now moves you, sir, you don’t believe it and if wishes were horses, all the beggars will ride. Church Gist. Stop waiting, start taking steps. Nobody goes forward without taking steps. Take steps!
Would you go throughout the Month of February without a soul to meet with Christ? No! You are too much for that. No! Have you ever made any list since you have been crying? You know! Do you ever have any target in your heart or that I have enough needs? Church Gist. You want your needs to be met, obey Him. All you need to have all your needs met is God and holding to His instructions is your guarantee for having your needs met.
