‘ENGAGING THE WONDERS OF SPECIFIC DEMANDS ON OUR PRAYER ALTAR.’
Only specifics count the most on the altar of prayer. A child crying for help without definition of the kind of help he needs may keep crying for life. Jesus saw that Bartimeus was blind but He said “what do you want me to do for you? I can only see blindness, I don’t know other things that you are bothered about.” Church Gist. “That I might receive my sight” – “You would have said that. Why trying to cut your throat by crying without definition?” Let’s approach the throne of grace with specifics in our demands.
We have two examples tonight we will be looking at and the first one is Elijah. We saw how he prayed for rain in 1 Kings 18:41-46. Church Gist. He called for rain and Heaven answered. Everytime we approach the throne of grace with specifics, we secure His attention.
– No wasted hour on the prayer altar this time and all through the year and no ambiguities anymore. Define what it is and He will show up.
But it’s important for us to know what was behind Elijah’s usual, speedy answers to prayer. James 5:17-18. Church Gist. Now in case that is not clean enough in terms of clarity, 1 Kings 19:10. We saw Elijah’s testimony, we saw where his heart was. Elijah was a God centered, God passionate prayer giant. He was a man of passion for God. You better know what that means. That’s the group of people that ‘before they call, I will answer while they are yet speaking, I will perform.’ There is a company of people like that in Scriptures. Isaiah 65:24….They are God centered, God passionate individuals on the prayer altar.
Now watch! What was the prayer of Solomon like? 1 Kings 3:5-9…now you see God at the center of that prayer. It’s not passion for things we are talking about. God centered, God passionate prayer will fly anyday, anytime, anywhere. Church Gist. I heard myself say something in 1985. I said “God, won’t you be patient for someone to pray before you answer?” He showed me that Isaiah 65:24. There is a company of people ‘before they call, I will answer while they are yet speaking, I will perform.’ They are God driven, God motivated, God agenda addicted people.
Watch Hannah! “Give me a man child, I will give him to you all the days of his life.” God said ‘ehen’ then she got it. 1 Samuel 1:11. Church Gist. God said to the angels, just deliver, deliver now. Every God centered, God passionate prayer will always secure speedy answers. God centered, God passionate prayers! James 5:17-18.
– Something great is breaking forth! If you believe that let me hear your loudest Amen!
– Something unusual is breaking forth in your life in the name of Jesus!
That’s so important. You know what Eshrer said? ‘If I perish, I perish.’ At the center of that prayer is God. “How can I be watching and he is destroying God’s people while I am alive? Church Gist. Let me die the death of the righteous’ and God gave her unusual favour.
Please take note. God passionate prayer was the mystery behind Elijah’s speedy answers to prayers whatever time he prayed. God passionate, God centered prayers!
The next example we have here is the example of Daniel. He demanded access to the secret that the King required and got it. Daniel 2:16-19, Deuteronomy 29:29. Church Gist. Church Gist. Every secret of God delivers on demand. You don’t sit down to wait for secrets. Secrets are delivered on demand. They prayed and then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in the night vision.
What is the Worth of Divine Secret?
1. It enthrones its beneficiary. Divine secret supernaturally enthrones its beneficiary. Church Gist. So it enthroned Joseph, enthroned Daniel, enthroned Job. It enthroned Paul the Apostle, a man of unusual access to divine secrets. Ephesians 3:1-5. Unusual access to the mysteries of the Kingdom are divine secrets. It enthrones!
‘Lord, show me the secret of Kingdom prosperity’ on demand – 3 days of prayer and fasting and searching. Then was the secret revealed unto David (Bishop David Oyedepo) live, March 22nd, 1982. Live! Live!
‘Why is this Church not growing? Show me what is behind this.’ Then was the secret revealed unto David (Bishop David Oyedepo). Live! March 24th, 1984, live! It delivers on demand. ‘Lord, show me the secret behind the Book of Ezekiel.’ Live, it came down. Church Gist. “I’ve touched your tongue with the coal of fire. As you say it, you see it.” Live! It delivers on demand. Sir, you can’t access the secret of God on any subject and be grounded there. You cannot!
Lord, who pays me? I am going out to full-time ministry, who pays me?…and then the secret was revealed to me. “You are in my employment, I am responsible. Just stay on duty.” Thank you Sir. Invisible appointment letter with reality pay back up. Then was the secret revealed! Church Gist. Maybe I would have been begging like many other people are doing now. I have never branched in anybody’s house in my life on what to eat or drink from the time the Ministry had no shape or colour. Divine secret enthrones its beneficiaries. It’s a thing to look for.
There are things that you are going through that we only need access to God’s secret to gain command. The more access we have to divine secrets, the greater command we gain over the affairs of life. Church Gist. The more access we have to divine secrets, the greater command we gain over life’s situations and circumstances.
He may choose to reveal it on His own. But when you need it, go and look for it. Demand for it. They prayed and then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in the night vision. Church Gist. Can you see the drama in Daniel 2:46? Daniel took over the throne of Babylon cheaply as a captive not a free man.
When the secret came down to the man called Joseph, the King said can we find such a man like this? Genesis 41:38-43. One secret enthroned him.
– In the precious name of Jesus, the secret required for your next level change of story must come down this time!
“Why am I going on in cycles? What is going on with me, Jesus? Why is this situation remaining the same over the time? What is the matter?”
He showed me the secret of hitch free marriage on demand. I searched, I prayed and then I found it. Church Gist. It’s one that does not require prayer points in my life. We gain command by divine secrets.
“Show me the secret of the Acts of Apostles” I did…by the third day, I was floating. I was invited to a place and I was floating. I didn’t know when I got to the back. Church Gist. The Acts of the Apostles was working inside my cells. My God! You demand for it to access it. You don’t wait for it, you demand for it.
You know why I don’t fight those who fight me? He fights them for me. He said “hey Abraham, I will bless you and bless them that bless you and leave the one that curse you to me. I won’t tell you, I will deal with them myself. If I tell you, you might be saying, “O God, take it easy.” Church Gist. So, I don’t have time. “O God, all these people are against me.” No! The Man who is fighting for me is on duty. He hasn’t lost any iota of power. He takes care of me. It’s so sweet to gain access to divine secrets.
It puts you in command. What strength, what skill can never achieve, it puts you in command of it. Divine secret enthrones.
We have been redeemed as priests and kings. Church Gist. We shall reign on the Earth but it takes access to divine secrets to be enthroned in any area of life where we are involved. Thank you Jesus!
Also, we recognize from Scriptures that the Holy Spirit is the Lord of the harvest. He is in command of the harvest field. He is responsible for drafting people into the Kingdom, convicting and converting them. Without Him, ‘pooom’ – nothing! John 16:9-11. Church Gist. Without Him, we don’t talk about harvest. He is the Lord of the harvest. Jesus said “pray ye the Lord of the harvest that He may send labourers into His field.” He is the Overseer of Kingdom harvest on the Earth. So without the Holy Spirit, every Church will be stunted. It takes Him to bring in the harvest.
We saw when He came on the day of Pentecost, His first manifestation – a mighty rushing wind. He rushed folks into that place far away out of town. I have been there. Acts 2:2,6,41. They were pricked in their hearts – that is convicted. They heard the Gospel, they were converted. Church Gist. He convicted and converted them to fulfill His mission. John 16:7-11…and then He kept doing that. Acts 3, the man at the beautiful gate was healed and by Acts 4, his testimony drafted 5,000 people in. Acts 4:4. That is His mission, drafting multitudes into the Kingdom. Don’t leave Him out in your prayers.
The prayer for growth will never answer much without praying down the Lord of the harvest to take over the harvest field. Acts 5:12,14. They were numbering them in Acts 2 and Acts 4 but now they can’t number them again – multitudes of men and women. Church Gist. The Lord of the harvest in action! The Holy Ghost in action. Acts 6:7, Acts 8:8, Acts 13:44…nowhere on the streets, the whole place jammed – that’s His mission.
Luke 11:13. So we need Him to deliver His ‘Wonder Double Agenda’ in our midst this year at Heaven’s speed. In only one day and the Church multiplied 25 times in the upper room.
Now a graphic picture and then we close. Numbers 11:31…One wind ‘woooooh’.
– That wind must be blow!
– We will see the effect this Sunday!
– The wind of the Holy Ghost that drafts multitudes into the Kingdom must blow across our harvest field in every city, in every town where the Liberation Commission is, we shall see the effect!
That’s what He does. So we must pray the Holy Ghost on, we must pray Him in, we must pray Him into actions otherwise the harvest will remain an uphill task to experience. Church Gist. Thank you Jesus. “I am the Lord, I change not.” So the wind is still blowing. But you see, the wind will blow on demand.
Psalm 63:1-3. You can’t see His power just hanging on. You see His power on demand. Isaiah 41:17-18. So there is a thirst and a panting that unlocks the Heavens to release the Spirit of God. We may struggle over many things on our own. It won’t work. Church Gist. Every golden experience in life is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit at work. Zechariah 4:1-6. Every golden experience, the kind that is ordained for us this year, they are all the manifestations of the acts of the Holy Spirit. So we need Him to get off the realm we are in to the golden realm of life which is planned for us this year in the name of Jesus!
Both as a Church and as an individual, you need to pray down the Holy Ghost on your life. Church Gist. “Refine me as gold so I may be bold to say, you are there for me.” He’s always there but on demand, He manifests Himself.
– We shall see it happen this time!
Let’s be specific. “Holy Spirit come down like a mighty rushing wind and rush people into our Churches to fulfill the ‘2024 Wonder Double Prophetic Agenda’ before the end of the first half of this year. Holy Ghost come down. You came down in the upper room, it multiplied 25 times in one day. Church Gist. Come down and surprise us again. You have done it before, do it again. Come down and surprise us…what happened in 2015 is not our effort. It’s not our skill, it’s the Holy Ghost just moving. Like we used to sing “🎶🎼🎵Holy Ghost power is moving just like a magnet. Moving here, moving there just like the day of Pentecost. The Holy Ghost power is moving just like a magnet.”
It’s time to pray the right kind of prayer. It’s not about strategy but the Spirit of God taking over.
– You will be surprised at your life this year!
– When you are believing God for one, you will find 10!
– You believe Him for 2, you will find 3 families in the name of Jesus!
– In the same vein, the rewards will be coming in torrents! Before you recover from one, the other one has come because your heart is on key with God. Amen!
