I bring you greetings from Ibadan where we had the most amazing Healing and Deliverance crusade.
This morning, we are going straight into the subject, “Faith for Supernatural Supplies (Finance)”. Psalm 27:13. Church Gist. Our objective this morning is to understand the pathway to supernatural finance/supplies. I want to mention 3 things by way of introduction.
1. God is the God of supernatural supplies, unnatural supplies and beyond normal supplies. For example, we saw His supply for Elijah. 1 Kings 17:3-6. Church Gist. Another example is the example of the miraculous sustenance of the widow of Zarephath. 1 Kings 17:13-17. Example 3 was supernatural supply for Peter and the Master. Matthew 17:27. That was not normal supply, it was supernatural and beyond natural. Church Gist. The fourth example was Peter at the Lake of Gennesaret. Luke 5:4-6. Fifth example was the wedding in Cana of Galilee. John 2:5-11. Let it remain clear that we serve the God of supernatural Supplies.
2. Faith in God is key to seeing the goodness, goodies and supplies of God. Psalm 27:13. Hebrews 11:6.
3. Obedience to Scriptural instructions or injunctions is key to accessing Divine supplies. Church Gist. The Faith that brings us supplies is obedience-driven Faith. Deuteronomy 28:1-2. Job 36:11. There’s a connection between obedience and abundance. Isaiah 1:19. There’s good in the land but it is for the willing and the obedient.
– right now, I prophesy to someone here, your obedience to what you will be hearing this morning will usher you into a realm of resources that will amaze you!
4. The endtime is a season for both spiritual revival and resources explosion. Joel 2:23-26. Church Gist. That is, fire is burning – fire of prayer, study of the Word, fasting, Evangelism; miracles we have never seen before are happening; the kind of things eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, things that have not entered the heart of man. We saw very unusual things in Ibadan – drastic miracles in Ibadan. Church Gist. All manner of things would be happening, in the middle of that, the kind of resources that the Church have never handled before, the kind of wealth, money and abundance, for the sake of global Evangelization because this Gospel must be pushed out in a hurry. Zechariah 1:17. Haggai 2:6-9.
5. God is in search of vessels to entrust with endtime wealth. 2 Chronicles 16:9. If God will not find believers who will be relevant to His purpose on earth, He will locate unbelievers that will be faithful. Church Gist. They may not go to Church too much but they understand Kingdom assignment. That was what He did with Cyrus. Cyrus, a hidden king, He called him, “my anointed”. Isaiah 45:1-3. “Lord, why is it that you’re looking for Cyrus to anoint when there are other Israelites? Why couldn’t You get an Israeli?” Isaiah 45:13. Did he not build the city? Cyrus it was that commanded for the rebuilding of Jerusalem after the captivity. Church Gist. He empowered Nehemiah and gave him all the resources and finances, everything Nehemiah needed for the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem; empowered Ezra for the building of the temple. That is what the Bible means that, “if these hold their peace, the stones will cry out”. “If I can’t find those I will use in Church, I am going to find those that will be committed. Church Gist. They may not speak in tongues or do all the things that Church people but one thing I can count on, if I tell them ‘do this’, they will do it”. One songwriter said, “I will never let a stone to take my place”. I won’t allow a stone to take my place, I won’t allow a gentile to take my place, I won’t allow the heathen to take my place.
– I believe there are people seated here right now that God is saying, “It is you I am looking for. Church Gist. Originally, I have you in mind but if you will not function and understand Kingdom mentality, then I have to look somewhere else to somebody who may not have been in Church as long as you have been and then, I will tell him, ‘do this’ and he will say, ‘yes, Sir!’ “.
– I believe a mantle is coming on somebody today, grace is coming on somebody today! Help is coming on somebody today!
– God is going to cause you to do what you are meant to do for your generation!
– lift your hands and say, ” here am I Lord, use me. I will not be alive for another person to take my place and do what I’m meant to do. I am available, try me Lord with your resources, try me Lord”.
Having said all of these, what are the pillars of our obedience for supernatural supplies? What do we do in order to see supernatural supplies?
1. The revelation of the Word of God for supernatural supplies. You need to know what is in the Word for you and know what the Word of God says about you. Church Gist. Psalm 35:27. 3 John 1:2. Deuteronomy 28:1-12. What would revelation do for you?
1a. Revelation brings possession. The things that are revealed belong to us. Deuteronomy 29:29.
1b. Revelation precedes releases.
1c. Revelation determines manifestation. If you want to manifest in any realm, you must have revelation in that realm. Church Gist. If you want to manifest in the realm of finances, you must have revelation in the realm of supplies.
2. The conviction of the heart for supernatural supplies. Psalm 27:13. You must be convinced in your heart.
2a. What you believe determines what you see. I believe to see. Church Gist. Those who believe that they are going to struggle like their fathers struggled will see struggle. What you believe determines what you see.
2b. What you believe determines what you receive. John 1:12
2c. What you believe determines how you behave and how you behave determines what you become. Church Gist. If you believe that scarcity is not your portion, you won’t behave it. Proverbs 23:7. We used to sing this song in Deeper Life many years ago
🎵🎶 I’m a millionaire. My Father in Heaven is rich in houses and lands and I’m his heir. I’m a millionaire. I’m a happy happy millionaire 🎶🎵
Even if you’re a pauper, yet you’re singing it. You believe it. These are the kind of mentality that occupy some of our heads. Church Gist. We don’t look inferior to nobody under Heaven. Don’t look beggarly, don’t look pitiable, not today, from the beginning.
3. There must be the understanding of the covenant of supernatural supplies. Genesis 8:22. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7. Church Gist. Take note of these regarding the covenant of supernatural supplies.
3a. Supernatural supply or Divine provision is not a promise to claim but a covenant to walk in.
3b. God is obligated only when man is committed as far as the covenant is concerned. Church Gist. The commitment of man provokes the obligation of God. There is something man does that makes God to do what He is meant to do. Everything that can be done to bring about the harvest is exercising futility until the seed is in the earth. Church Gist. Acts 20:35. If you’re going to receive from God, the Blessing is in the giving.
4. Practice the covenant of supernatural supplies. Genesis 8:20-21. Why did we say understand the covenant and then practice the covenant? Church Gist. This is why; what you know is not what changes your life, it is what you do that changes your life. What you know may make you intelligent, it is what you do that makes you wise. Information brings intelligence, action confirms wisdom. So, there are many intelligent fools. Church Gist. It’s not that the man does not know, he’s a consultant pathologist, he knows that alcohol will give him fatty liver, liver cirrhosis and primary liver cell cancer but he’s a drunkard, he’s an intelligent fool. He’s a consultant cardiologist, he knows that tobacco smoking is destroying his heart, it’s giving him heart muscle disease, cardiomyopathy and other diseases but he’s a chainsmoker, he’s a very intelligent fool. Church Gist. There are many like that in the Church, I’m sorry to say it, but your information made you too intelligent, your lack of action made you so foolish. Boasting about what you know is a useless form of boasting, it’s a waste of boast.
– today, I see people of action stepping out of here. If you’re among, you will shout the loudest Amen!
There are 2 things you would know about giving;
4a. Give revelationally. When you’re giving, whether you’re tithing, sowing a seed or making a sacrifice, let revelation and understanding fuel the action. Isaiah 32:20a. Ephesians 5:26. Church Gist. If you want to sow, let it be around the revelation. Your sowing is blessed if it’s beside the waters. There are many people in the village who would say, “our Priest said we should give 1/10”. That’s how they call tithe. Church Gist. They have been doing it for donkey years, they don’t expect anything out of it, it’s just a religious duty. So, it may not produce anything. Isaiah 32:20a.
4b. Give relentlessly and tirelessly. Weary out the enemy with your giving. Galatians 6:7-10. Ecclesiastes 11:4,6.
5. The possession of the picture and mindset of abundance. Proverbs 23:7. Genesis 13:15. Proverbs 21:5. Things to note;
5a. Mental picture determines actual future. What is not your picture can never be your future. Church Gist. I heard that from Bishop Oyedepo for the first time.
5b. What goes through your mind overflows into your life. Church Gist. Criminals commit crime because it has been going through their minds.
5c. What you imagine eventually emerges. Ephesians 3:20. Listen, God responds to our asking the same way He responds to our thinking. Don’t let the negative thoughts of your upbringing overwhelm your mind. Church Gist. I told my wife the other day, I said, “one of the greatest things my own father did that I will appreciate permanently is that the thought of scarcity doesn’t exist”. He had plenty lorries and buses and when they returned from journeys, they would be counting raw money. You will just be seeing money, although you can’t touch it but the fact is that money is that easy and not that scarce. Church Gist. All of you who tell your children, “sit down. Do you pluck money from trees?” and all manner of demotivating things, stop it! You’re giving them a negative picture of scarcity and hardship. Now, all that money I just mentioned now, before you see one out of it (laughs), it is just available for the sight. It’s the way you smell food without eating it. Church Gist. My father would wait for his change at the filling station. But even if that was not your own experience, you can create your own, for your children and for your generation. If you need to put physical pictures around you instead of a picture of somebody riding a bicycle on your wall or a picture of somebody living inside a hut, saying it’s an artist impression. I don’t have any challenge with those pictures if you already have skyscrapers everywhere. The possibilities of your mind affect the realities of your life.
– I announce today, in the name that is above every name, Jesus Christ the resurrected Lord, I see unusual possibilities coming for somebody!
– if you’re the one, shout the loudest Amen!
I would like you to see yourself paying for an Airbus or owning it for Evangelism to South America, Russia, China and Japan. Let your mind be filled with unbelievable possibilities. Church Gist. If the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof and your Father owns the land, anything is possible in your mind.
Papa Oyedepo said they went for a program one day, I think it was in Benin. It happened to him twice. One day, at Benin, they were rushing to Lagos, they saw a man with a private jet, they sent one of the Pastors, “go and tell that man that we want him to give us a lift until our own arrives”. Church Gist. When they spoke to the man, the man laughed and said, “you people, come please”. It wasn’t there yet but he said, “until our own arrives” because he can think it. Now, he has been flying the plane. By next year, it will be 30 years. If it cannot cross your mind, it will not mistakenly cross your life.
– I announce to somebody, every closed mentality or closed mindset, I declare, it is open now!
6. The maintenance of the right utterance. What comes out of your mouth must be correct. Proverbs 18:20. Church Gist. What is coming out of his mouth will determine his fullness and satisfaction. Proverbs 18:21. Take note of 2 things;
6a. The heart, the hand and the mouth must cooperate to bring about desired supernatural supply results. What is that cooperation? The heart believes, the hand releases and the mouth declares and Heaven delivers. Church Gist. The heart believes that God is a covenant keeper and supernatural supply, the hand releases in accordance with the covenant then the mouth declares, “I can’t be stranded. I cannot be wretched. I can’t be a beggar. My God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory. Even if it is terrible in Nigeria, it is written, when men are cast down, I am saying, there’s a lifting up”. Church Gist. You’re not talking like everybody is talking. The heart believes, the hand releases and the mouth declares and Heaven delivers. You will never allow your mouth to go against your heart and your mouth.
6b. When the belief is right, the release is right but the speech is wrong, the outcome would be wrong. Church Gist. When the belief is right – you believe God will supply all your needs; the release is right – you’re a giver; but the speech is wrong, “how are you?” “We are managing”, when did you become a manager? “How is life?” “We are patching”, where did you learn tailoring from? (Laughs).
– look at your neighbour, say, “I’m not patching. If I need to patch anything, I will look for a tailor”.
And people think they are just being frank. In the realm of the spirit, there’s no joke in words. Numbers 14:28. Ecclesiastes 5:6. Church Gist. So, what your hand is doing in giving can be destroyed with what your mouth is saying. That is why we don’t play with words. Inside the lift, “are you going down?” “I can never go down!” “Are you going to the ground floor?” “I can’t even go to the ground, we are going to the reception”. That was one of the first lessons my wife learnt. “Food finished?” “No. Food doesn’t finish, nothing finishes here”. Church Gist. Things can need replacement, rice, beans, soap can need replacement but they can never finish and since we said they need replacement, they are always replaced. I want you to take it very seriously. You need a serious approach to life in order to have a glorious destiny. Ecclesiastes 5:6. Church Gist. There are people who joke all manner of joke; “I was admitted o, I nearly died” you will say, “really?” They’d say, “I’m just joking”. What? There are unbelievers who joke like that.
– lift up your hand, say, “I am doing well. Everything is working fine, nothing is bad. All things are working together to my advantage. Things shall end well in my life”.
6c. The words of your mouth ultimately bring home your harvest. Proverbs 18:20.
7. The maintenance of joy and praise. Psalm 126:5. Isaiah 12:3. Jeremiah 30:19. 3 things I want you to note;
7a. Joy and praise are the irrigation and fertilization of the seed. Church Gist. Joy and praise water and fertilize your seed. Joel 1:11-12.
7b. Joy and praise are sickles of the harvest. You use joy to reap. There are many people whose harvest is ripe but joy is not available so they can’t bring it home. Church Gist. You reap with joy. It doesn’t matter how you sowed but if it comes to reaping, you reap with joy. Murmuring and grumbling will only bring dryness and destruction. Listen, joy is not a gift, joy is a choice. You can choose to be excited and you can choose to be depressed, but if you know that there are too many things that are connected to your joy. “The joy of the Lord is your strength”, if you want to be weak, be depressed. “They shall reap with joy”, if you want to remain poor, be depressed. Church Gist. That is, you carry face like LongJohn bicycle, not excited, not excitable, not exciting – nobody can hang around you, atmosphere is very toxic, you’re angry with everything. That’s transfer of frustration. Church Gist. Some children suffer it a lot. The husband is having challenge with wife, wife is transferring it on children, especially the one that looks like the father the most. She will say, “see your big head”, the insult she cannot insult the man directly.
– that will never be our portion!
There are too many things. “With joy shall you draw waters”, joy makes you draw light and insight from the Book. Joy guarantees the presence of God around you, “in your presence, there’s fullness of joy”. So, when you know that this joy we are talking about is determining many things in your life, nobody will beg you to be excited. Church Gist. Things are not working and you’re depressed, the more depressed, the more you press the things that are not working down. This is a secret many don’t know. You’re a tither or a giver and you’re permanently depressed, “they said we should give offering and I’ve given, I’ve tithed and I’m waiting. God, over to you o”. Over to you. If that’s the case, don’t give at all, I’m begging you because nothing will come out of it, so that you don’t say they lied to you. Don’t give at all. Church Gist. This is one of the Churches where nobody will beg you to give, where we would even forget to take offering until the people will remind the Pastor. If offering was what on your mind before you came to preach, will you forget it? That may be the first thing to take in case you forget later, and then maybe make more offerings available.
– look at your neighbour, “I reject depression!”
When you see anybody coming to fraternize you with depression, run away for your life. Joy is very critical.
8. Avoidance of anti-covenant practices (Borrowing and waste). Borrowing and waste are enemies of supernatural supply. Church Gist. We live in a time today, I don’t know the number of people, I want to beg everyone today on the matter of borrowing. My wife used to ask me when people said me a message, “how do they get your number?” She has stopped asking now. Some of the frequent messages I get now, “I borrowed money and they have put my name online and they have threatened they are coming to arrest me and my guarantor. I want to commit suicide. I cannot face the shame anymore, let me just die”. Church Gist. This is almost as frequent as text for kidnap or anything. It’s everywhere. When they are trying to borrow you the money, they won’t tell you the consequences, they will sugarcoat everything. It’s when you have entered it, it’s like fly that entered spider web.
I told you, I sat with a billionaire and he said before he borrowed money from the bank, he was at least one billion dollars of his own. Church Gist. Then, they came with incentives. It ran him down to a point where he’s looking for money. In fact, he said, they were organizing to take over his business. He said, it looks like those people are so wicked that they want to deliberately make his business to fail so they can take it over. Church Gist. Only God rescued him. You know what he told me? He said, “please, beg the brethren to avoid borrowing”. Let me tell 3 or 4 things about borrowing.
8a. Borrowing takes a man out of the covenant platform and program into self help and alternative sources. Deuteronomy 15:6.
8b. Borrowing is disobedience and rebellion against Divine instruction and rebellion brings dryness. Psalm 68:6. Romans 13:8. Church Gist. One of the major sources of problem between brethren is borrowing. So, when you’re going about owing and owing, you’re in disobedience and it will bring you dryness.
8c. Borrowing is emptying tomorrow into today such that when tomorrow arrives, it arrives empty. The money that is meant for tomorrow, you use it today. Church Gist. That is what wicked governments of the world do to their nations when they borrow and borrow. I traveled to Singapore some years ago, my wife and I, and they were showing us houses, condemenuons, 15-30-storey buildings everywhere. You know what our guide told us? He said, “these are unoccupied condemenuons and houses for citizens and children that have not yet been born”. Church Gist. Our own case, poverty, scarcity, shortage for generations yet to be born. Borrow and borrow for projects that can’t be seen. God will definitely deliver this nation and other such nations from the hands of such leadership.
– you believe that, shout the loudest Amen!
– may your earthly father never leave you the heritage of debt and poverty.
That was what happened to the Prophet’s children, when the father died, they came to carry them as bondmen because their father died in debt.
– that will never be your portion!
Borrowing is spending money you don’t have. What is my counsel? Avoid borrowing where possible at all costs. Church Gist. Trust God for guidance on how to exist without borrowing and begging. There’s a way He would show you what to do.
There’s one kind of borrowing that is not technical borrowing where they will carry what is yours and give you money in exchange. Church Gist. They gave 100 million and they are with your house of 150 million. Technically, they are meant to be the ones owing you 50 million but they don’t do so. By the time you’re unable to pay that money and they sell that house, if you’re not careful, ‘shishi’ will not enter your hand back, they might even ask you for money because they will say, “interest has entered”. Church Gist. Technically, you’re not owing each other but even if that can be avoided, let it be avoided.
– lift up your right hand, I break the plague of debt! Anybody already in debt, I decree, help to come out of it is released upon you! I declare, that plague is broken!
Of course, you know of waste. Waste destroys potential wealth, where you’re just buying things you don’t need. John 6:11-13.
9. Avoidance of dependence on man. Don’t look up to any man. Don’t make any human being your source. Jeremiah 17:5-8 Psalm 34:5. Church Gist. Refuse to make any human being your God. Refuse to make any man your source. Two things I want you to note;
9a. Looking up to man is looking away from God and looking away from God is looking away from good.
9b. Looking up to man is looking away from God and looking away from God equals looking down in shame, brutally. Church Gist. If we were looking at the offering that came in every Sunday in this Church, this building would not be built by now. Church Gist. That is how serious it is that the offering that people give every Sunday is the source. It won’t be built. Because the offering that was coming at that time, I’m not sure whether one year’s offering could do one month’s work that was going on here. Church Gist. There was a time where it was almost like a million dollars a month, at the peak of construction. When they give you iron rod bill, 90-something million, 100 million, rod that will enter the building and disappear. How much is the offering?
– God will show you help and mercy.
If we were looking up to one man for the building, the man would have been mixed with the concrete if possible. Church Gist. Because himself would have been so depleted and he will say, “just mix me with the concrete. I don’t have anything to bring anymore”. That is what happens to people who look up to man – when the men dry up, they dry up.
– look at your neighbour, say, “your destiny is big, no man’s pocket is big enough to sponsor your big destiny. Only God has enough pocket”.
When you see people talk, you hear it in their voice, “my uncle that is the only supporter of our family, he’s not looking at anybody anymore”. “My only help is not receiving my call anymore”, you hear it in people’s mouths. Church Gist. And God who is a jealous God will say, “Is it a human being that you’re talking about like this? Let me leave you and the person and watch how you handle each other”.
– lift up your right hand and say, “God is my source! Man may be a channel but God remains my source!”
10. Openness to Divine direction. “Lord what is the business you want me to get into? Lord, what is the investment? Lord, where is my harvest?” Your portion is not everywhere, there’s a particular position for your portion. Psalm 23:1-3. Church Gist. If God is the one leading me, it will be green pastures, not dry pastures; it will be still waters not turbulent and troubled waters. Isaiah 48:21. Isaiah 49:10. He leads you away from hunger and thirst. You’re permitted to hunger if you lead yourself, you’re permitted to be thirsty if you’re disconnected from His voice. Church Gist. Church, let us stop struggling, let us start resting in His leading and direction.
There’s a business where your money is waiting for you, there’s an investment that is for you, there’s a career and a partnership (that is for you). “I’m a tither and a giver”, it’s not enough. You’re a tither and you went into timber business and God has no plan for you there. Church Gist. There may be millionaire timber men but that is not your realm, He has something else for you. Maybe truck operation, haulage business, whatever, and you’re just here, “I’m paying my tithe”, yes the Heaven is open, rain is falling even on your seed but you’re on a dry ground. Take note of two things;
10a. There’s a connection between Division provision and Divine direction.
10b. You’re not permitted to hunger and thirst If He’s allowed to lead and guide you – into business, the right investment, etc.
When a man feels the calling of God and he wants to step into ministry, he would take a fast, if he’s serious, days before God; “where, Lord? What, Lord? Where am I going? When am I going? What am I preaching? What do you want me to do?” Church Gist. In the same manner, if you’re a Christian business man, don’t just jump into business, separate yourself, “What business, Lord? Which area, Lord? What area of investment? Where am I putting my resources? How do I go about this?” You operate it like you operate a calling and at the end of the day, you will be flying.
11. Submission to Prophetic instruction and impartation. 2 Chronicles 20:20b.
11a. The prosperity of the people is tied to the mantle of their Prophet. Church Gist. A woman came from America and she said God sent her to come here because, in her words, God told her to come for a prosperity mantle, it broke that devil.
11b. Prophetic instruction is connected to supernatural provision. Luke 5:4-5. John 2:5. Virtue is drawn by value. The virtue you value is the virtue you can draw. My wife asks me to pray for her at various junctions and points, for different things. At the second night of the crusade in Ibadan, she ministered. Church Gist. If I didn’t minister, it would have been okay, it would have been the same quality and order of what is seen, by virtue of valued impartation over the years. There are some who think they know the person they are close to, no. Church Gist. Mary thought she knew Jesus until Jesus said, “don’t you know that I need to be about my Father’s business?” She said, “what? Age 12? Which father are you talking about?” He said, “Mary, I was the one carrying you, you didn’t carry my pregnancy”. Please, I beg you, if your child is anointed, value the unction. Church Gist. My mother valued the unction, my father. In our crusade at the National stadium in 2007, my father was present. Cleared blood pressure, cleared blood sugar.
– I stand here with that Prophetic mantle, your days of scarcity are over forever!
12. The practice of habitual thanksgiving and appreciation. Church Gist. Every slight harvest and favour you see, appreciate it.
12a. Appreciation establishes the blessing, both of the past and the present. Thanksgiving stabilizes what God has given you and what He’s done. When you say ‘thank you’ to God, whatever He has done, what He is doing gets rooted. Malachi 2:2. Church Gist. That is the mystery why some people’s prosperity disappear suddenly, breakthrough and big manness disappear suddenly. When it happened, they took it to mean that they were so intelligent, powerful and connected. Malachi 2:2. Thanksgiving, don’t say, “what is this?” That was what the children of Israel said in the wilderness when manna fell. They carried it and said, “what is this?” Instead of saying, “thank you Lord”. God said, “you said, ‘what is this?’ eat it for 40 years, don’t change it”. Church Gist. If they had said, “thank you Father, this is powerful, even though we don’t know what it is but we are grateful”, all of them said, “what is this?”. You want God to change your story, appreciate Him for where you are now.
– I see somebody here now, under the next 72 hours, a change of story is coming your way!
12b. Appreciation brings multiplication. Everything you appreciate multiplies. He took the 5 loaves and 2 fishes, it increased. Church Gist. Matthew 6:11-12. Jeremiah 30:19. Profuse multiplication will happen with profuse appreciation.
