YOU MISSED OUT ON YOUR FAVOUR BECAUSE YOU WERE WAITING FOR THE GLAMOUR FORGETTING THE ASSIGNMENT

WHEN GOD DECIDES TO FAVOUR A MAN, HE GIVES HIM AN ASSIGNMENT FIRST

YOUR ASSIGNMENT IS A POINTER TO YOUR SEASON OF FAVOUR

YOU WANT FAVOUR BUT YOU HAVE OVERSHADOWED THE SPIRIT; YOU ARE IN CHARGE INSTEAD OF THE SPIRIT

SO THAT YOU DO NOT LOSE YOUR FAVOUR SEASON, THE SPIRIT OF GOD COMES TO OVERSHADOW YOU

I DON’T CARE HOW OTHERS WERE FAVOURED, BUT YOU SEE FROM JULY TO DECEMBER, YOU SHALL BE CALLED HIGH FAVOUR

People of God lift up your right hand, thunder with a loud voice, say, ‘July, favour has been laid. August, favour has been laid. September, favour has been laid. Church Gist. October, favour has been laid. November, favour has been laid. December, favour has been laid.’ It will not be up to 7 days after this program, favour will not just be a word but it will be evidence in your hands.

Luke 1:26-38.
Father we ask that you make your word and your will known unto us. Let there be not any man but all of you. We ask that you incubate your word, that you give life to your word. Have your way Emmanuel.

I am aware that today is not the beginning of this meeting. So I know that great servants of God have stood on this pulpit and have laid foundation and given us dimensions of the favour of God, and they have brought life to the issue of favour. Church Gist. But I came with few words that God has laid in my Spirit concerning the next dimension favour.

People of God, I am excited with Mary because the Angel did not come and say to her, ‘you are favoured.’ Church Gist. The Angel said to her, ‘you are highly favoured.’ And so among all other favours spoken in the Scripture, I am always attracted to the fact that Mary’s own was called high favour.

• I don’t care how others were favoured, but you see from July to December, you shall be called high favour.

I sit back and I look at the Scripture and I told myself, ‘this is nothing but the template of the protocol of God’s favour.’ If you don’t mind, let me jump into the heart of the matter. The Angel comes to Mary and says, ‘you are highly favoured.’ Do not forget that the Scriptures were clear enough to let us know that Mary was already betrothed, about to be married to Joseph. Church Gist. And the Angel comes to her and says, ‘Mary you are highly favoured.’ And Mary would have just been saying, ‘Okay’, she was asking, can you break down this high favour for me. Then the Angel goes on, ‘the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Mary you are about to get pregnant to carry a holy thing in the womb. Mary the world is about to see what they have not seen before.’ And the Angel went on and on.

How do you tell me I am highly favoured? Do you know that if God did not warn Joseph, Mary was about to be embarrassed. Mary was about to be pushed out as someone that had premarital sex as it were. Pastor Jerry where are you going tonight? Church Gist. Let me inform everyone who is getting ready for high favour in the second half of the year, let me announce to you before you say the next Amen, let me remind you that favour is a disruptor.

Let me remind you that God’s favour is placed on your life to fulfill God’s agenda not your own agenda. God places His favour on your life in order to take you where He wants you to be, not where you desire to be. Church Gist. So, when God is bringing a favour upon a man, the first thing that you will see happen is that, your plans will start getting disrupted. ‘Pastor, I thought by this time I will be here.’ It is because you are favoured, that is why God is disrupting everything you wrote down.

How you know a favoured man: there was a man you thought you were going to marry, somehow the man walked away from your life. You are too favoured to be linked to that kind of person; favour came in and disrupted. So, one of the early signs to show that a man is favoured is, ‘divine disruptions.’ Permit me to call it divine disruptions. Church Gist. People will walk away not because you are a bad person; because favour is disrupting. Things may not align anymore and you are asking yourself, ‘has God forgotten me?’ ‘No Sir, God did not forget you but like Mary, if it is favour, it will disrupt your plan.’ Don’t be afraid, you are still favoured. If it is favour, it may not work according to human calendar but don’t be afraid, you are still favoured.

• Lift your hands and scream, I am still favoured.
• I don’t know if there is anyone who feels like your plan in 2022 is a little bit disrupted, lift up your right hand and thunder, ‘I am still favoured.’

So I came to remind you, if you will lay favour on your way, there might just be a few disruptions here and there. ‘I thought this was going to work this way, and it happened the other way’. Church Gist. When it happens, be calm; it is a sign of favour; it is not a sign of God forgetting you. Mary was said, ‘highly favoured’ but unfortunately Mary, you are not going to get married to Joseph and sleep with him now because God is going to take your womb. God is going to disrupt a few plans because of the favour He has placed on your life. Does it shock you to know that after he said to Mary, ‘thou art highly favoured,’ he said, ‘blessed are you amongst women.’ I know you know the meaning of the word, ‘blessed’ but among so many meanings of it, I love the very pedestrian one. Church Gist. The pedestrian meaning of the word blessed, from the original Hebrew and interpreted in English, it means, ‘empowered to prosper.’ And then he says to Mary, do you know you are highly favoured? You know the reason why? It is because you are blessed, you are empowered to prosper.

Let me look at the etymology of the word, ‘empowered’ from the word, power, you get the word, empowered. In other English Mary, there is favour on your life but it needs power to be activated. Mary now asked and said, ‘how shall these things be?’ Church Gist. And the Angel said let us tell you: that the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Mary even though you are favoured, but you have need of power. Mary there is already favour but it is latent. When I look at your faces, I see the faces of favoured men; but favoured with no power. I came to beg you, don’t joke with your prayer life; don’t joke with your consecration, study of the Word; that is where we draw power. Church Gist. That is what keeps us relevant. You are not going to pray for the favour to come, it is already on your life. But I am afraid, it may not rise well until there is enough power. In other English, the favour is already there like the light but it needs fuel for it to manifest.

They see you speak in the Holy Ghost and then you are walking on the road, they don’t understand. Don’t criticize me, I am energizing my favour. What the people of the world have is, ‘good will’ what we have is ‘favour.’ Church Gist. The difference between good will and favour is our own is energized by power. And I came to remind some people who are here, that this is a season for power. I am afraid to let you know, that you can’t do July, August, September, October, November, December, without power.

God looks at you carrying the destiny of a time bomb. He looks at you and says this destiny is too huge. But because there is no power, you are showing up like a knock-out. And God is saying, there is so much I want to provoke from your life but I need you to up the power dimension of your life because you know what? This is what they did not understand about Joseph. Church Gist. They thought the favour was in the cloth and favour is not in the circumstance, or what they gave you; because we say we are favoured because someone gave us a new car. No Sir, I am favoured because he worketh in me both to do and to will of His good pleasure. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in my mortal body and is able to quicken.

I came to remind you, there is no lasting favour without power. Except you are not done enjoying good will; seasonal, occasional, happenings of God, and then you just get it. Church Gist. But if you can stay in the place of power, I don’t have to explain what is going on in my life, why I am studying the word, because I am generating the power for my favour. That is why I said that the favour on your life is not to accomplish your own desire. If it is just to accomplish your own desire, then it is too minimal.

When the Angel says to Mary, ‘Mary you have to understand that you are going to be empowered,’ the Angel said to Mary again, thou hast found favour. Now, this is why Mary was shocked. And Mary was obviously asking, ‘when was I looking for favour? I wasn’t looking for favour.’ But the Angel shows up and says, ‘Mary, you have found favour.’ Let me put it in other English, ‘Mary, you have found what you were not looking for.’ Church Gist. So, the question is, ‘Lord, for there to be a finding, your word cannot be a lie. For me to have found favour, I obviously looked for it not knowing that was what I was looking for.’ The Bible says, ‘Jesus grew in favour right?’ He didn’t grow in favour because He asked for favour but there was something that He was doing that was causing the growth of favour in His life even without Him asking for favour. Did I confuse you?

So the Angel says to Mary, ‘You have found favour.’ Mary had no idea; for the day she chose and said, ‘my sexuality, I consecrate it to He that has called me, He that loves me.’ And Mary said, ‘I am a virgin’ because if you understand virginity in Israel, they had moments when they went to the mountain to pray, of course that’s why the Bible would say call the virgins of the house of Israel. Church Gist. So while Mary was consecrating herself, she had no idea she was finding what she was not looking for. Every time Mary saw one thing to do wrong and Mary turned her eyes away from it, God in Heaven was saying, ‘Mary is finding what she is not looking for.’

I came to let every believer know here, that between July and December, you must make up your mind and say, ‘Lord, no matter what it takes, I am going to seek…’ Listen, there are no coincidences in the realm of the spirit. ‘Pastor, I just woke up in one morning and somebody from somewhere called me and said come and take this contract.’ Church Gist. No Sir, you found that favour. And you say Pastor, how did I find it? You were busy seeking the Lord, not knowing that the Lord was releasing favour on your life. Hear me as I hear the Lord, as you seek the Lord, may you find favour like never before!

And the Angel said to Mary, ‘Listen Mary, because of the high favour on your life, you are going to be doing something for God. You have an assignment Mary; there’s a high favour on your life. You are going to carry the Holy One.’ People of God, I know that you believe that with the high favour on your life, you should be receiving. Church Gist. But Heaven says, ‘when I decide to favour a man, the first thing I give him is an assignment.’ Do you know why you missed out on your favour? YOU WERE waiting for the glamour forgetting the assignment. Whenever they talk about favour, oh my goodness, you didn’t know. Pastor said something jokingly on the pulpit, the Spirit of God reminded you, ‘that’s your assignment, pick it up right now.’ But you didn’t pay attention to it but yet you still said an amen to a prophetic utterance. Church Gist. But you didn’t realize that your assignment is a pointer of your favour season. People of God, you must realize that that was what Mary was told.

The Angel said unto Mary, ‘the power of the Most High will overshadow you.’ Let me go very pedestrian with overshadowing: Mary, there’s a level of favour on your life. I want you to realize it is not going to come by your skin colour. The Lord said to Mary, ‘you see this favour protocol on your life, for me to bring it into manifestation, one of the major things I’m going to do is that I am going to block the Mary they used to know. Church Gist. I’m going to overshadow the personality of the Mary they used to know.’ This is because if they see the Mary they used to know, they are going to credit the success to Mary. Mary is going to excel and they will say, ‘oh, it’s her skin colour or certificate, those that she is connected to, that gave her that.’ And the Angel said Mary, so that you don’t lose your favour season, there is an assignment that the Spirit of God is coming to do. He is going to overshadow you.

People of God, when you are overshadowed, people don’t see you, they don’t know you, they don’t know what happens. People of God, you want favour but then you have overshadowed the Spirit; you are in charge, it is not the Spirit that is in charge. You talk like you are the one running your life. Church Gist. But it was told Mary that there is a favour coming on your life but you must let the Spirit overshadow you. Mary so that you don’t miss out on this high favour, you must let the Spirit. This is why the final words of Mary were, ‘let it be unto me according to your word.’ In other words, ‘I submit to this overshadowing.’

If you are not careful, there are days when you get favoured you will think it is because you are fair. There are days when you get favoured, you look and you got that job. Unknown to you, you never really said, ‘thank you God,’ but you said it was because of the additional qualification. Church Gist. People of God by virtue of what I do, I’ve seen people who have certificates from all over the world, their certificates looks like tissue paper. And then I say God, how can you be giving people with ordinary school certificate job? But then again someone who has PhD, the wife has PhD, both of their PhDs look like tissue paper.

In this season as your favour comes, let one prayer be at the back of your mind, ‘Lord please, don’t let me be seen.’ Church Gist. Let me tell you God’s kind of favour: people don’t favour you because they like you, people are favouring you because there is something they see. You don’t even see that thing about yourself.
I have seen people who don’t like me very much but they are very kind to me – it is called favour.
I pray for you in this season, may the presence of the Lord overshadow you, give you evidence that sounds like a lie!
