FAITH IS A COMPULSORY COURSE IN THE JOURNEY OF LIFE NOT AN ELECTIVE
THE QUALITY OF OUR LIVES AS INDIVIDUALS IS A FUNCTION OF OUR FAITH

Shall we lift up our hands to God this morning and glorify His name, thank Him for all these amazing testimonies. He is the Doer, He is worthy of our praise, don’t just mutter words, speak to the Lord clearly, thank Him, Praise Him, bless Him, glorify His name because your own testimony is around the corner. Now thank Him for hearing and answering your prayer personally and our prayers together corporately, let’s glorify His name. Father we thank You in Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Father we give You thanks and praise for this wonderful day and for the gift of life. Thank you for these amazing testimonies, you are the Doer, take all the praise, we decree,it shall be permanent. Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers and right now ,as we go into your word, Father speak to us again, transform our lives, let none of us return the same way we have come. Like we were told yesterday, this week at the covenant hour of prayer, the subject we’re looking at is captioned EVERYONE IS ABSOLUTELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OUTCOME OF HIS LIFE. Say with me “I am absolutely responsible for the outcome of my life”. By way of reminder, God relate with us as individuals in this kingdom. We get born again as individuals, even though it’s possible to be born again at the same time in a group. But salvation takes place as individuals. in the same vein, even natural birth, we are giving birth to naturally as individuals, even if you are a set of twins or triplets or quadruplets no matter what, only one child comes out of the mother’s womb per time. So we are born both spiritually and naturally as individuals, and therefore it is very important for us to keep reminding ourselves how very crucial it is to be very personal in our engagement in the kingdom. God’s Servant the presiding Bishop has told us over and again how that He has often said, the time of Brethren let us go is over, now it’s Brethren I’m gone. If you’re interested follow me. - None of us will be left behind in Jesus name. This morning we’re looking at the fact:
- We are called to build our faith as individuals. Jude 1:20. The Bible said very clearly Jude verse 20. Unto you Beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy Faith, praying in the Holy Ghost on your most holy faith. But what is faith? just to remind ourselves, one of the definitions God’s Servant has told us before is that faith is a spiritual Force within. Church Gist. It is a spiritual Force within that determines the triumphs and happenings around us. We just heard some testimonies this morning, the first person “God paid me instantly” He engaged in soul winning. I believe He must have done it by Faith. Church Gist. The force within affected the happenings around. there is someone under the sound of my voice today, God will pay you instantly.
When we engage in matters of the kingdom, whether you are praying, as you have done this morning, whether you still pray, whether you are making calls, whether you are reaching out to souls, it must be done in Faith. Church Gist. Because whatsoever is not done in faith is sin. All through scriptures, we see several examples Mark 2:9. We see the example of the paralytic and Jesus said, arise take up thy bed and walk and then you know the end of the story, the paralytic man arose totally made free because Jesus saw the faith that the man had. He had to open the roof, that’s a demonstration of faith. Church Gist. Paralysis was terminated, we saw the same thing that was done by Apostle Paul in Acts 14:9. That crippled man from His mother’s womb, remember that story he heard Paul speak, steadfastly holding him. Paul perceiving that he had faith to be healed. The faith within that man changed the course of events in his life and paralysis with which he was born was terminated. There is something that must be terminated in someone’s life today. Everything that doesn’t glorify God in your life, in my life, in whatever way whether your career, your business, your health, your family, your finances, behavior, your character, attitude whatever it may be your spiritual work with God must be terminated. And that makes it very important and crucial for us to understand. Faith is a spiritual force within, it determines the happenings around us. also we must understand that it is to everyone according to his Faith. Church Gist. To everyone according to his faith but faith has unlimited capacity for growth 2nd Thessalonians 1:3. The word of God is very clear about this 2nd Thessalonians 1:3 it says your faith groweth exceedingly. So faith is a growing force. Your faith groweth exceedingly and in scriptures there are in different levels of faith or different degrees of faith but basically three of them we have:
- Little faith that we see in Luke 18 and verse 8 little faith
- Second ,we have great faith that you find Matthew chapter 15 verse 28
- Thirdly, we have The Spirit of faith. So faith is in degrees. The Spirit of faith, that is the God kind of faith 2nd Corinthians 4:13. So faith is a growing Force, what are we saying therefore, no matter your level of faith right now it can still grow. Church Gist. So it is wisdom for us to invest in our faith because Faith will not grow on its own. It won’t grow by wishing, it won’t grow by watching you have to feed your faith for it to grow.
God’s Servant has told us several times out that it is not chocolate faith that built Faith Tabernacle. That must be the product of a special kind of faith. And if it wasn’t chocolate faith that built Faith Tabernacle, 50,000 seat auditorium. Now what kind of faith is building the Ark project that is ongoing now, stress-free, concern free? Many of us have not even been there consistently to see what is going on there. It is growing, the buildings are growing on their own, why? This is a special kind of faith and that’s why this month beginning, your faith and my faith must undergo a revolution. I said your faith and my faith must undergo a revolution, and when that happens within us then the happenings around us will show as living proofs. Before this month ends, God will turn you to a living proof. But we build our faith through spiritual understanding of the word of God. Romans 10:17. The Bible made it very clear to us, Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the word of God. But remember in Acts 8:26-35. The Ethiopian Eunuch was asked, do you understand what you are reading? He said how can I understand except somebody guides me. So we need spiritual understanding of God’s word for our faith to grow and how do I boost my spiritual understanding?
- Through prayers
- Through fasting
- Discipline
- Sensitivity
Therefore what a privilege this week is our week of spiritual emphasis let’s take it upon ourselves to build and to grow our faith again this week, beginning like never before.
- Everyone’s faith shall be transformed in Jesus name.
Remember the quality of our lives as individuals is a function of our faith Habakkuk 2:4. The just shall live by Faith. Galatians 3:11. Hebrews 10:38 all saying the same thing therefore, as we round up this morning let’s always remember, Faith is a compulsory course in the journey of life not an elective. And you are in the Church and commission called Living Faith.
- I see someone’s faith coming alive therefore Grace to settle with the word of God to build our faith and therefore win the war, receive it in Jesus name.
- Grace to settle with the word of God, build our faith and win the war may it be our portion afresh from this day forward in Jesus name.
Please rise up on your feet , receive grace right now
just lift up your right hand to God - Prayer: Lord help me by your grace to settle with your word to build my faith and win the war.
Pray that prayer for yourself right now as you look up to heaven and lift up your hands to Him.
-Grace, Lord more of your grace that my labour shall not be in vain and this wars shall be won as I settle with the word to build my faith. Pray that prayer for yourself right now and receive the Grace. Church Gist.
