The Sword of the Spirit Ministries
Heavenly Father thank you for this great convention, thank you for the anointed ministers that have come up here. Church Gist. Thank you for light and illumination you have been shedding on our path, thank you for this great ministry, thank you for continuous and sustainable impact. Receive our thanks in the name of Jesus.
Thank you for your good hand upon your servant and his wife; it’s evident. We celebrate your faithfulness in their lives and the ministry. Church Gist. Receive our thanks in the name of Jesus. Thank you for those who have come and have left, those who are still here.
Heaven’s agenda is a relay race. Church Gist. One generation passes the baton to another, and then to another. May we play well our turn!
Psalm 24:7-10. The King is coming; and what are we expected to be doing as we await? The king of Glory is Jesus. Church Gist. It says, “Behold I come…” whether you want it or not, “…quickly and my reward is with me to give to everyone according as his ways shall be.”
He saw some folks hanging around in the market place, “why stand ye idle in the market place?” “No one has hired us.” “Go to the vineyard and work. Whatever you are due, you will be paid.” So you are not paid for being there, you are paid for serving. Church Gist. They were standing idle in the market place; in the business place. We serve a covenant keeping God and not a Father Christmas God. Father Christmas Father. He who does not work let him not eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10.
Doing nothing in the kingdom holds no value and adds no value to anybody. But our God is a rewarder and a promoter of every faithful and fruitful steward. He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Church Gist. When He said to them, “Occupy till I come,” he came and an individual came and said, “I made 10 more out of your one pound.” He said, “Have thou authority over 10 cities.” The other one came and said I made 5 more; have thou authority over 5 cities. There is nothing in doing nothing.
The King is coming but He said, “Occupy till I come.” Stay in service till I come. Stay on duty in the vineyard till I come. The challenge is that we must be found on duty whatever time he shows up for our rewards; that is where many of us miss it. Church Gist. We must be found on duty. We don’t know the day, we don’t know the hour, but He is coming. He comes checking on us. He comes to appraise us to determine what next level we qualify for.
- May we all receive grace to be found on duty whenever the King shows up for our rewards!
In Matthew 24:45-47, whatever time He comes, He finds us on duty, He rewards us. One of the pictures in Scriptures painted by Jesus is that He shows up annually among others. Luke 13:6-9. Church Gist. So there is an annual appraisal that goes on in Heaven. The month you don’t know; the week I don’t know; the day I don’t know; but blessed is that servant whom His Lord whenever he comes shall find so doing.
