Thank You Lord! It’s done!
Prayer can be an adventure in futility if we don’t understand how to know if our prayer is answered. In the house of Mary they were praying, they never knew when their prayers were answered, they were even resisting access to knowing that their prayer had been answered. Rhoda said, “I heard the voice of Peter and they said, “No! Church Gist. You must be mad, we are still praying!” The answer had come but they didn’t know! Acts 12:15.
How do I know when my prayer is answered? Not trial by error but how do I know when my prayer is answered. You know that we serve a question-answering God, many just know Him as a prayer-answering God but we serve a question-answering God! Church Gist. It’s a question that anybody can ask, “How do I know when my prayer is answered?” But we have some answers here which we have been looking at since the week began and this morning we will look at four of them!
How do I know when my prayer is answered?
- When your faith says so and ushers you into rest on the subject matter! Rest, a vital proof of faith. Those that believe do enter into rest! Whatever things you desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them Mark 11:24. So how do I know? Church Gist. When your faith says that you have received them and that is validated by genuine rest, not mechanical rest! True rest! Hebrews 4:10 and 11, that is the struggle to see that labour has left you and you have entered into the rest! Hebrew 4:3-11.
So we have to get to the point of rest of faith! They call it full assurance of faith! Abraham entered into that realm and left off and started glorifying God- No more concern. And Isaac came! Romans 4:20. He got to that realm, received the Prophetic Word held on to it and did not allow anything to shake him off. Until our faith says that we have received it our hands cannot take delivery. It is what we believe that we have received Spiritually that He eventually delivers to us practically. Church Gist. You have to receive it first Spiritually before you can lay hold of it practically- All things whatsoever… Mark 11:24, Matthew 21:22. The faith factor is a critical factor! So praying through is not praying forever it is praying to the point of assurance of faith that ‘this’ is settled.
- Be anxious for nothing Phillipians 4:6 and 7. In the same way, it launches you to the realm of peace and understanding. Peace that is unexplainable yet undeniable. Church Gist. So when His peace rules our hearts, then we have the assurance that the prayer is answered.
Now, what do I do between the time that I receive answered to my prayers Spiritually till when it gets to my hands practically:
a) Engage in Thanksgiving. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Church Gist. And Hebrews 10:36 says, ‘And after you have done the will of God, you have need for patience…’ So we step into the will of God to take practical delivery. Thanksgiving!
b) Engage in praise like Abraham- Giving glory to God, and Isaac came Romans 4:20. Because the Lord is ready to save me therefore I’ll sing my song Isaiah 38:20. That is being fully assured that your prayers have been answered and you have received it Spiritually but you have not taken practical delivery, start singing your song! Church Gist. Celebrating the integrity of God and His Word and then to take delivery of your answer. Don’t stop thanking, don’t stop praising and the answer is guaranteed. Awesome God!
Let me give you this Covenant Plus, James 4:1-3. Somebody has a testimony and you are very bitter! Anything that is to boost your ego doesn’t fly in prayer! Church Gist. You know that prayer works by faith and faith works by love so prayer works by love. Anything that you are going to worship tomorrow, God won’t give you today- He loves you so much, He loves your soul more than He loves any other thing around your life!
So let your prayers be lust-free, let it be love-filled! Hannah said, “Give me a man child and I will give him back to you!” And God said, “You are sure? Okay! Have it Hannah!” And then five more other boys 1 Samuel 1:11. “I’m able to exceed abundantly more than you ask or think, I’m sure you will give that to Me so I will give you your own!” And without being pregnant for the next child, she carried that one child there. Church Gist. And then, boys 1, 2, 3 and 4. Not, “Give me a child and I will show them” But “Give me a child and I will give him to you!” Let your prayers be lust-free but let it be God’s love-filled! Let the love of God fill your heart.
Before I had a bank account I said, “Lord! If you ever bless me, I want to be part of building You Churches! How? What’s wrong with your head? That’s been realised over the years again and again. I saw us building a hundred Churches in one year! Church Gist. Again and again and again! Let your crave be lust-free, let it be love filled and you will get express answers to prayer! Let Kingdom dreams fill your prayers! And watch how God begins to decorate your life in all other areas!
Some have been crying for a breakthrough. God knows that if He gives them that breakthrough, that’s the end of it. You won’t find them again, never! “Okay, how’s the Church now going? I thought I was gonna be there three weeks ago but I have some meetings in my house and then the company is just expanding and then God has to understand what I’m talking about”. It’s His fault! It’s God’s fault! You know why people go up and down? Their love for God is not sustained! Why is this Church just going up and down all these years? Why? The God-first dedication mentality and crave have continued to rule this Church since inception. Please learn a lesson from the things that you see around here!
The day that you back out of your love for God, He backs out of your life 2 Chronicles 15:1 and 2. This downward trend thing is not of God oo. When your love for God gets off, His Hand gets off your life. He is no respecter of persons!
I would like you to pray this morning for grace to keep His love ablaze in your heart, “Grant it to me today! Let it be one of my packages from these 21 days of prayer and fasting!” All these lustful prayers don’t fly! Church Gist. You ask and receive not because you ask amiss- To spend it on your own lust! James 4:3. To brag! To boost your ego! “Yeah! We are the ones there!”
For an usher to tell you that’s where to sit, You say, “No! I don’t think that this one knows me!” Call your head of ushers and tell him that I’m the one!” Which one? Sir, every lustful prayer is a wasted prayer! It will never be answered but every love filled prayer will be answered. “Help me! I want to be part of helping others who are challenged! Help me Jesus! Church Gist. Bless me! I want to be a blessing to others around me! That’s when it will work! He said, “I’m gonna bless you and thou shall be a blessing!” You don’t want to be a blessing to others and you want God to bless you? It doesn’t fly! It never flies!
Do you know the number of people that can build rural Churches in this place? Church Gist. Do you know how many people that will never? ‘Oh! I don’t know what is happening to me’! Your heart is not with God! But something must turn this morning!

Somebody was going somewhere on Mission and I said, “Lord! If I have a Peugeot car, I would like to give it to this man!” I said it today and the following day, somebody brought me a Peugeot car and I said, “Oh! That’s for him!” Anything Kingdom-triggered experiences a speedy response. Church Gist. Let’s understand the rules of the game!- Thy Kingdom come! Thy will be done on earth as it is done in Heaven! Matthew 6:10.
If anybody is here today and is saying, “Lord! I’ve been hearing people build Churches, help me this year, I want to be part of the army! Help me this year!…’ I’m waiting for days when somebody will come out and say, “How many Churches do we have to build in Niger Republic? Church Gist. My family will build three of them! Our company will build five of them!” If you don’t have such dreams Sir, your breakthrough will be limited! You will soon be worshipping your money!

Hebrews 13:7…Whose faith follows, considering the end of their conversation (The result that they command). Church Gist. I want to see people here who are blessed and blessed far beyond who have proven to be forerunners here!- If you position properly! So don’t be slothful but followers of them who through faith obtained their promises. It always works!

Now, this is your year! He calls it your Isaac-order of year where He will turn every pity in your life into envy! Where there shall be no wasted labour! Just pray and press your way into it. It’s amazing! May I therefore advise, spend extra time today and tomorrow and Sunday! Church Gist. These things always speak the loudest at the end! Habakkuk 2:3. So let’s take advantage of it! Those who want to camp on the field, camp anywhere before the Lord! You better do it!
We went to the mountain, went to the valley and went to the hills seeking for God! Spend time! Tell God what you will do with what you are asking for! Let Him know! You know that He knows all things? So that when you will say, “Lord! You know what I can do!” And He will say, “I know that you cannot do anything because before Me all things lay bare! Before Me darkness is light! Church Gist. I search the heart and try the reins, I don’t need anybody to tell me anything about you!” He knows who man is, say what you mean and mean what you say and watch God manifest Himself to you!
-The next three days are your days! You will hear the news! Because it’s your year, vengeance will speak in your favour! “For the day of vengeance is in my Hand and the year of My redeemed has come!” It’s your year! Church Gist. Every barrier on your path must clear off! Every barrier you place on your path by yourself must be cleared off!
Lift up those two hands and give God thanks! And seize the day! Take command of the day! Church Gist. No nonsense day! No careless day! I take command of the day for maximum engagement and for highly profitable engagement! Take command in the Name of Jesus!
