WHEN WHO IS PUSHING YOU IS BIGGER THAN WHAT IS STOPPING YOU, YOUR STRUGGLE IS OVER; YOU MOVE WITH SPEED AND YOU MOVE WITH WAVES.
THOSE WHO SEE FAR BEYOND THEIR IMAGINATION AND THEIR EXPECTATION ARE THOSE WHO KEEP ON MOVING.
THE BEST PERSON TO COMPARE YOURSELF TO IS YOURSELF; AFTER YOU ACHIEVE A RESULT, DEFEAT YOURSELF IN THAT RESULT AND MOVE TO THE NEXT.
DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF WITH ANYBODY. GOD’S MEASUREMENT OF IMPACT IS NOT THE PHYSICAL RESULT, BUT IT IS THE RATIO OF POTENTIAL OVER EXPRESSION.
IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANY PROBLEM GIVING GOD THE GLORY, GOD HAS NO PROBLEM MANIFESTING HIMSELF.

Those who are seeing results according to their expectation and nothing more. How many of you know that there is something more? Church Gist. Nothing more! But that is not the will of God. I will come to that later.
They have just come to a certain position. What they think they want to see in life and ministry is what they are seeing but nothing beyond that. How does that happen?
1). They are married to their result and content with their accomplishment. Church Gist. So, they are at ease (Amos 6:1, Proverbs 4:18, Psalm 84:7, Romans 1:17)
I heard from Smith Wigglesworth that if you remain on the same spiritual plane for 2 consecutive days, you backslid. That is, every single day should be an improvement. Something should grow, something should increase. An insight should come, a light should come, something more. Church Gist. Never get to that point where you are married to your results. When people get married to their accomplishment, they become established in tradition. What became of all the traditional churches? What we call Orthodox churches? I will talk about that shortly. So, that is what happens when people, they think they have seen their expectation and no more.
What is it that gives rise to such a situation? It is the plague of comparison. They compare themselves with others around them, and realize that they are higher than most people around them, and they settle (2 Corinthians 10:12). Church Gist. You can’t compare yourself with anybody because nobody has the combination of potential, graces, experiences, divine help and revelation, that you have. How do you compare an eagle with a lion? They are not operating on the same plane; they are not meant to compare. You don’t compare eagle with lion. The eagle may be comparable to another eagle, but the best person to compare yourself to is yourself; after you achieve a result, defeat yourself in that result and move to the next.
You will never fulfill your destiny if your yardstick of result is the people around you. You know the reason why? There are people that earth is clapping for; Heaven is crying for. On earth they said, he has defeated everybody, he has won. In Heaven they say, he hasn’t started. I read a book many years where a big evangelist was preaching, he had seen all manner of results and he had a crusade in South Africa and he said, “the world is under my feet now.” Church Gist. That was his last crusade. He was incapacitated in a wheelchair. While I was reading that account, the Lord told me, He said that man stopped when he was meant to start.
Don’t compare yourself with anybody. God’s measurement of impact is not physical present of results, but it is the ratio of potential over expression. That is, what I put inside you versus what you push out. Let’s say, God says, I put 100 deposits in Mr A and he pushed out 20. God puts 20 in Mr B and he pushed out 10. On earth, we will say Mr A is more successful, he pushed 20/100. Mr B pushed 10/20. If Mr A is looking at Mr B, he relaxes; “I have succeeded, around me nobody has reached 20” and Mr B may be feeling intimidated that Mr A has done what he cannot do, meanwhile God gave him 20 and he has pushed out 10, God gave Mr A 100 and he has pushed out 20. If Mr B moves forward a bit and he pushes out 15, it is now 15/20 and Mr A is 20/100. Mr A will still be thinking that he is shinning, but when we arrive in eternity, there will be too many surprises.
People that we thought never did much, God will tell you, you didn’t know what I put inside them. That is why, if you mind people, you will miss purpose. This is one reason why people have some expectations they think they have and they stop at that realm of their expectations. Church Gist. Another reason why people stop on the road is that, they get blinded by the glory of what they see and they can’t see beyond what they are seeing and it is as far as a man’s eyes can see that God gives. They get blinded by the glory of what they see and they can’t see beyond.
Another reason why people stop where they stopped is because they were not able to handle the applause that came with the result; the clap of people, so God became uncomfortable with giving them more results. Another reason why, they couldn’t handle the glory; one day I went on a fast, there were many people in the church trusting God for the fruit of the womb for children, trusting God for one thing or the other and I said that, I shouldn’t see people in trouble and be helpless, Lord help me and I prayed, fasted for about seven days. In those days, no water, no food even though I advise people, if you are fasting beyond three days, please drink water liberally. On the fourth day, God said to me, “what you are asking me to do is not hard for me to do but can you defend my glory? Church Gist. I am not looking for who to share glory with. My glory will I share with no man; I don’t want you to touch it and I don’t want anyone to touch it where you are.” It changed my life and I said, “Lord, I will not touch it, I cannot touch it. Try me, I will return it.”
That is why many people are just where they are, if God should shift them further, they can almost be worshipped as God, so God said, remain here. I heard of somebody that if he prophesy an accurate prophecy, people will carry him on their shoulders; all manner. No, what have you that you have not received? Who is here that has received something that God did not give?
That is the fourth category and finally, very rare are people who are called and see beyond their expectations, they see beyond their imagination. Unto Him that is able to do, exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or imagine, He is saying, imagine the biggest thing you want to imagine, I can still do more that that. Very few people reach there; what they see is far beyond their wildest imagination. Who are the people who reach there?
1). They possess a hunger that can’t be conquered, die-less hunger; a hunger that can’t be conquered. The kind of hunger that Paul the Apostle cried and said, that I may know Him, after 33 years of ministry, that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection. Hunger that can’t be conquered or quenched; hunger for God, His reality and everything.
2). They are the people who are determined, that they won’t stop moving until they see Jesus face-to-face. “I will not stop moving until the day I see my Master, face-to-face (2 John 3:1-2). Church Gist. Until He appears, there is one more step, there is one more dimension; until I see Him face-to-face, there is still something to do, there is still a level to step into, there is still an anointing to walk in, there is still a power to move in.
Those who see far beyond their imagination and their expectation are those who keep on moving. Success will not stop them, they will not park beside success, even failure will not stop them; disappointments will not stop them, criticism will not stop them, accusations will not stop them. They are just in motion; one more step, until the day I see the Master.
3). They are the people who turn their milestones into stepping stone. What is a milestone, they step on it to see further. Some turn milestones to monuments, they build around it; this achievement, nobody has ever achieved it. So, let’s build three tabernacles here, but these people, when they have a milestone, they step on it, it becomes a stepping stone, they see further. When they have a higher one, they step on it.
My father in the Lord said, you know that until you do more than what we are doing, you haven’t started. I said, Sir, please; he said, “Paul, you know I am not resting and you know you have no right to rest.” He is constructing the Faith Theatre, I am sure you are aware. The Faith Theatre is over a 100,000 seaters. The basement is over 20,000. He told the Church people and said, “If it is for this project, don’t bring an offering. Church Gist. The money to build it is complete.” We are talking of millions of dollars for roof alone. “We have rural Church planting to do and other plantings, you can apply the money into that, feel free to give towards that. But for this construction, no need to bring anything. The money for the fan, AC, everything that will be in the building, including chairs.”
In Nigeria, we will say, “Level dey ooo.” 50,000 seaters auditorium, two mega universities, 10,000 churches planted in one year, haba! All manner and then, you are still running, that is, you see beyond your expectation. When you are at such a place where you are too restless to be arrested by result.
4). They are people who are incurably humble and tirelessly grateful. Humility that can’t be cured, that can’t be corrupted. Gratitude that is tireless, “Lord who am I, who is my family? What do I do different that You should give me this privilege? I am grateful.” Church Gist. In the closet and before the people, gratitude that is palpable, humility that is feelable and if you don’t have any problem giving God the glory, God has no problem manifesting Himself.
Beyond your imagination, beyond what you can comprehend; “Lord, why??” He says, because I can trust you.” Incurably humble and when that happens, God will work. One day, God’s servant, Bishop Oyedepo said, “God, won’t You even wait for somebody to ask before You answer?” He said, God said to him; there is a set of people, before they speak I have heard and before they ask, I have answered.”
Earlier in our ministry, I met our Father in the Lord and I said, we have so much to do in the ministry but the resources are not as much as the project. He said to me, “what you saw, what did you buy and sell before that income came? That is, how did you contribute to its arrival? I said, nothing. He said, thank God tirelessly for whatever amount you see and it will grow. Church Gist. That is, after you have done every other thing you are doing tirelessly. So I told those who sort out offerings, I said, when it is time to sort it out, it is a praise session, it is a thanksgiving worship session, because as Jesus blessed and thanked on five loaves and two fishes, it exploded. You don’t carry it and say, “What is this?” No, carry it and say, “Father, what do we do to deserve this?”
During our construction, there was a time we were spending about a million dollars per month and what was coming in was more than that what could be accounted for in the offering. Where is it coming from? Only God.
Lift up your right hand and say,
“Father, I receive the grace to be tirelessly grateful, I receive the grace to be incurably humble.”
5). Those are are connected to higher inspiration. You are connected to mantle bigger than yourself. When you walk with giants, you cannot take dwarf steps. Church Gist. Almost immediately, something happens you begin to step further, even if your step does not reach their own, it will be many times faster than your normal step because you are walking with giants.
Who you company with determines what accompanies you. Bishop, there are many people he grew up spiritually together, they didn’t believe in spiritual authority; they are even those who boast that nobody has ever prayed for them or lay hands on them; they are self-made people. Church Gist. Who made you? And you see them with results; they carry tittle, no mantle and title without mantle equals battle because you have to fight to defend the titte. Bishop with 20 members in primary school.
- That will never be your portion!
Whatever you do, let an unction bigger than you carry you. You know, in the course of our construction, a big truck, the type that carries stones and chippings and sand, like 12 tyres, it was carrying sand to a part of the construction and got stuck inside the mud and so, the more it tried to move, the more its tyre sank in the earth. Church Gist. Every attempt to move it, it was impossible, it just sank further into the mud. So, we realized that there was a bulldozer working at a department of the site, so we invited the boss to come and help us assist this guy, so the bulldozer came gradually and moved the truck. It didn’t push it, it behaved as if…, It didn’t break to move, it didn’t slow down, it was moving as if it was pushing something.
When who is pushing you is bigger than what is stopping you, your struggle is over, you move with speed, you move with waves. That is why it is important to be continuously connected to higher inspiration, to see higher and to see wider.
6). Hold nothing back, push it all out. Paul the Apostle said, I have held nothing back. There is nothing I know to do, I haven’t done. Leverage on everything you have got; your learning, education, experience, revelation, encounters, insights. You know before Elisha could part the Jordan, the Bible says, he wrapped the mantle. Wrap your mantle together; everything you have got, wrap them, pull everything out and minister like there is no tomorrow. Church Gist. Function like there is no another day. When we started our Convention, after preaching the first night, my wife said, “what are you doing like this? You have said everything today, what will you say tomorrow? Now, the convention has ended because you have preached everything.” I said, “wait till tomorrow. Everything I know for now, let it be pushed out, sufficient until the day is the issue thereof. When tomorrow arrives, God will give the Word for tomorrow.”
If you want to see beyond expectation, don’t hold anything back. You are holding it back till when? The best time to make news is prime time. Hold nothing back.
7). Always go the extra mile. Don’t do normal thing. Many years ago, almost 30 years ago, I put a sticker on my car titled, “Why the normal?” Don’t do average thing, don’t do regular thing and I am not talking about the abnormality in the negative sense. Do extra thing, this is what they asked you to do, go beyond. This is what everybody does; Joseph was in the prison, he was gifted to dream and interpret dreams. Church Gist. The Pharaoh sent for him. He said, I have dreamt a dream and I have no interpretation, can you give me the interpretation of my dream? And Joseph said, “Yes, I can. The dream you dreamt is summary that there will be 7 years of plenty that would be followed by 7 years of famine and the famine would be so terrible that it will not be recognised that there was a harvest.” That was his assignment. That was what they told Joseph to do: “Give me the interpretation of my dream.
He went there extra mile, he said, “I will not only give you the interpretation, I will offer the solutions. So, this is the solution, choose city, appoint officers and take a wise person (he was describing himself), that can administer the food in Egypt” and Pharaoh said, “who is wiser than you? Church Gist. You have give me interpretation, solution, proceeding and implementation. Implement your solution.” That was how the extra mile took him far beyond his imagination. If he only interpreted the dream, Pharaoh would have said, thank you. Please give him a bottle of coke and return him back to the prison until I have another dream. But Joseph made up his mind; “the prison door has opened for me and I stepped out of faith, I can’t step back.”
- You are not going back to that prison!
Don’t do regular thing; do extra thing. How many of you know the difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary? Extra, there is just one difference between ordinary and extra. So, move into the extra and you move into the extraordinary.
Give Him the praise, honour and adoration.
- I see the mantle falling tonight!
- I see the fire falling tonight!
“Father, I am looking for You tonight. Father tonight, place Your hand on me, place Your fire on me, place Your mantle on my life. I am available tonight to fulfill Your call on my life. Place Your fire, mantle and hand upon my life, oh Lord, in the name of Jesus
