THE LORD TOLD ME “IF YOU WILL NOT TAKE THE STEP I AM ASKING YOU TO TAKE, YOU HAVE FAILED ME AND YOU HAVE FAILED A GENERATION.”

AT 6 YEARS OLD PAPA IDAHOSA VISITED US AND DECLARED I WAS GOING TO DO STRANGE THINGS FOR GOD: I SAID “I KNOW”

THE REAL BIBLICAL AND APOSTOLIC FAITH IS ALREADY BECOMING EXTINCT.

WE ARE RAISING A GENERATION IN CONVENIENCE THEREFORE THERE IS A LACK OF FIRE.

THE FAITH THAT WAS ONCE DELIVERED DIDN’T HAVE TOO MUCH TALK BUT HAD A LOT OF WORKS.

THE FAITH HAS BEEN MODIFIED TODAY, WE CALL IT AN UPGRADE YET IT IS A DOWNGRADE

THIS GENERATION IS NOT JUST CALLED TO FIGHT THE FIGHT OF FAITH BUT TO FIGHT FOR THE FAITH.

ONE OF THE ASSIGNMENTS THE LORD HAS SENT US TO DO IN OUR GENERATION IS TO BREAK DOWN THE WALLS OF DENOMINATIONS.

GOD DIDN’T BRING ABOUT DENOMINATIONS, MAN DID.

THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW DENOMINATIONS AND CHURCHES BUT DON’T FOLLOW CHRIST.

WHEN THE CHURCH BECOMES UNIFIED, WE WILL BECOME INDOMITABLE.

THERE ARE DIMENSIONS WE CANNOT TOUCH IN CARNALITY

IF YOU WANT TO OPERATE IN A NEW DIMENSION PARTICULARLY IN THE MIRACULOUS, JUST HAVE COMPASSION.

THE DAYS OF APOSTOLIC POWER ARE THE DAYS OF APOSTOLIC PERSECUTION.

FASTING MUST NOT BE LOST IN OUR GENERATION.

–   Evangelist Isaac Oyedepo on IGNITING LOST FIRES – THE FAITH THAT WAS ONCE DELIVERED at Awaken Abuja Day 1 || The Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries || 4th January 2024 ||

Lord unto you we have gathered. Men of every tribe, men of every tongue, you called this gathering and now we have answered. Thank you for looking down on our generation. You called this gathering a gathering where lost fires will be ignited in this Year of the Holy Ghost and Fire and your good work has already begun. Now, Lord, we are ready. Ready for communications from heaven, ready for impartations from heaven, we are ready for batons to be exchanged, we are ready for mantles to be delivered. Church Gist. Holy Spirit, this is your meeting interrupt, intercept. We have come out of the traditional Church gathering so that you may move as you please. Move like a mighty rushing wind all across this place and wherever anyone may be reading this from. Holy Spirit, I vow to give you all the glory for all you do in our midst. Thank you, Father. I stand in awe of you. Holy God to whom all praise is due, I stand in awe of you.

IGNITING LOST FIRES.

Tonight the Lord gave me a word for you and I will be sharing on the topic, THE FAITH THAT WAS ONCE DELIVERED. Jude 1:3. IGNITING LOST FIRES – The Faith That Was Once Delivered. Matthew 11:12. Luke 16:16. 1 Timothy 6:12. Luke 18:8. This generation is not just called to fight the fight of faith but to fight for the faith. It is a very strange dimension the Holy Ghost is opening. We have been taught to fight the fight of faith, it is a good fight but the Holy Ghost opened me up to another dimension. Church Gist. Don’t just fight the good fight of faith, fight for the faith. The real biblical and apostolic faith is already becoming extinct. We are raising a generation in convenience therefore there is a lack of fire. The faith that was once delivered.

1 Timothy 4:1. I add to you that doesn’t mean they will leave Church but that they will modify the original rugged faith. Still in Church, still religious, still shouting Hallelujah and Amen but the faith has been modified. We call it an upgrade yet it is a downgrade. The faith that was once delivered. I strongly believe one of the problems of our generation now is that we lack the history of the faith. Church Gist. If you know where we are coming from in the faith, you will know we are already departing from the faith. The Faith that was once delivered!

The Lord is saying, the faith you profess weigh it on what I am about to reveal. Is this the faith that was once delivered or the faith that is popular today? Contend! Previous generations will count it exciting to be beaten up for God. To be killed on his behalf, what happened to the faith? Church Gist. The Churches are full, everywhere explosion! But God is calling a generation back. Contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints. Fight for the faith that was once delivered.

The threefold task here tonight:

1. The faith must be defended.

We shouldn’t watch our generation rubbish the faith and keep quiet. Enough of the debate on whether God is real, if He is real, prove it. The faith must be defended. Philippians 1:16-17. Church Gist. One of the things the Lord spoke to me about that shook me very deeply, He said “If you will not take the step I am asking you to take, you have failed me and you have failed a generation.” The faith must be defended.

2. The faithful must be awakened.

It takes faithfulness to gather here on a Thursday night. Ephesians 5:14. You are not dead but you are asleep. Those who are not saved are dead but many who are not dead are asleep. Church Gist. Being asleep and being dead are almost the same. There is no awareness of what is happening around. I stand here to declare that every spiritual state in our spiritual lives shall be awakened.

3. The apostolic faith must be reignited.

This order of faith knows no impossibility.

The faith that was once delivered:

1. Is the faith of proofs.

James 2:18, Mark 11:23. The faith of proofs. This is not a faith of theory like we hear it all around today but a faith of practicality. The faith that was once delivered didn’t have too much talk but had a lot of works. Church Gist. The faith that was once delivered was the faith of proofs. This is not a faith just taught but a faith that could be touched. 1 John 4:4, 1:1.

2. Is the faith of possibilities.

Matthew 19:26. There is nothing impossible with God so there should be nothing impossible with faith. Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory, I am so privileged that my father, Bishop Oyedepo will take us to him as young children and we will spend holidays with him. I heard many things that people my age never heard. For instance, I heard him say “When your faith says Yes, God cannot say No”. Statements of depth. Somebody reminded me two weeks ago, that as a young child of 4-6 years old thereabout, Archbishop Benson Idahosa visited our house while I was sleeping and while he was seated, if you know him he used to wear a lot of agbadas, but they could not tell what happened to me. Church Gist. I was not the only child at home. I got up from sleep and took his agbada and wrapped it around myself. He looked at me and declared that I was going to do very strange things for God and according to the story, I looked at him as a child and said “I know.” I turned back and went back to sleep. Mantles don’t go to heaven.

(Agbada is a large flowing native garb worn mostly by men across West Africa)

3. The faith of persecution. Our generation doesn’t like that. The faith that was once delivered! If you operate in that dimension, you are guaranteed to be persecuted. Your world can’t be comfortable with you operating at that dimension. Colleagues cannot be comfortable with you operating at that dimension. Church Gist. In fact, as you ascend, many around you begin to drop because you have left the comfort zone. How many want to do things that if it were told you, you will not believe? Anybody like that? Lift your hands!

– O God of the ancients, O God of our fathers, look at the hands of your thirsty people. Church Gist. Wherever you are, in the authority of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, may you step today into a new dimension!

But let me quickly tell you. The days of apostolic power are the days of apostolic persecution. Acts 4:29-33, Acts 5:12,18. Church Gist. You want to flow in this dimension of the faith that was once delivered, deafen your ears and toughen your skin. How can you come from many signs, many wonders, now you are in the common prison?

The faith that was once delivered is the faith of persecution. We cannot desire the power and detest the persecution. Church Gist. In fact, Peter puts it this way. 1 Peter 1:7. He says “the trial of our faith is precious.” The faith that was once delivered is the faith of persecutions.

We’ll soon go to look at the texture of this faith. Let’s first understand what God is talking about. Church Gist. So we’ve looked at 3 major things.

– The faith that was once delivered is the faith of Proofs.

– The faith that was once delivered is the faith of possibilities and

– The faith that was once delivered is the faith of persecution.

Now, I want to quickly by the help of the Holy Spirit before there is an outbreak, we’ve to quickly rush through this because I sense a shift in the atmosphere.

What is The Texture of This Faith?

1. It is a holy faith. A Church that loves God does not equal a Church that fears God. Holy faith! Hebrews 3:1. Holy faith! There is a call for our generation to return back to holiness. Church Gist. There are dimensions we cannot touch in carnality. Holy faith! Jude 1:20. So the altar will be opened tonight regardless of the title, regardless of popularity, regardless of relevance.

The faith that was once delivered to the saints is a holy faith. Not a holy look but a holy faith. Church Gist. Not a holy speech only but a holy faith. Holiness that goes beyond what is seen on the outside but dwells within. The Holy faith!

2. It’s a unified faith. Acts 1:14, Acts 2:1-4. One accord! I began to check through the Scriptures ‘one accord’. Acts 4:31-32 – one accord. Church Gist. The reason why we are not able yet to operate many of us in this dimension of this texture of the faith that was once delivered is because we are largely divided. Unified faith! God didn’t bring about denominations, man did. Unified faith!

Should the Church be unified, we’ll become indomitable – if we’ll stand one with another. Same God, same faith, same baptism – unified! One of the assignments the Lord has sent us to do in our generation is to break down the walls of denominations. Church Gist. It hasn’t done the Church any good. It has done more evil than it has done good. Now there are people who follow denominations and follow Churches but don’t follow Christ.

They know more of the doctrines of their Churches, the traditions of their Churches, the traditions of men but lack the revelation of Scripture. A unified faith! How many for instance believe miracles will take place here tonight? Anybody? If we’ll all come to the unity of faith, there is no sickness that will escape this Service. I’m telling you the truth. Church Gist. Take your eyes off who is here, who is not here, who is watching, who is not watching, who may find you on the television, who may not. Today individuals may go for meetings and they are afraid to enter their Churches back because somebody may have spotted them. Is it not Christ we are looking for?

3. It’s a compassionate faith. Compassion! If you noticed every time the Scripture says Jesus had compassion, there was an outbreak of the miraculous. A compassionate faith. Church Gist. Too many Scriptures. Matthew 9:36, Matthew 14:14. We can go from A to Z. Compassion! In fact the Scripture says, “having compassion, making a difference.” Compassionate faith!

Let me show you a secret. If you want to operate in a new dimension particularly in the miraculous, just have compassion. Have you noticed, people who have been sick before, God uses them very easy to flow in the miraculous? Because they have an understanding of what sickness is. Church Gist. You don’t have to be sick to flow in that realm. No! But in our human nature, many times, compassion is born out of personal experiences. Compassion! Compassionate faith!

4. A prayer and fasting enhanced faith. Jesus was dealing with a particular case and he said “it’s because of your faith but this kind goeth not out but by prayer and by fasting.” Fasting must not be lost in our generation. Church Gist. In fact, we should step to the point that we begin to live a fasted life. Prayer and fasting enhanced order of faith – that’s the texture. People who will wait upon God, they will wait. People who will stay…🎵🎼🎶I will stay at the altar to drink of your living water till I overflow. I will be satisfied for this is what the nations need. 🎵🎼🎶I will stay at the altar to drink of your living water till I overflow.  🎶🎼🎵I will be satisfied for this is what the nations need.

– Stay with the Lord. Stay, stay. Wait on the Lord. Wait, wait. Build up your strength.

— Singing —

I remember one year ago, this song played very often in the early hours of the morning. There are steps you can’t take until you have stayed. Church Gist. There are decisions you can’t make until you have waited. There are mantles you don’t qualify for, let no one deceive you, until you have stayed.

Please, in 2024, be sure of the tribe you hang around. The 2 men among others that are here tonight are people personally with me in a circle. Minister Dunsin Oyekan, you count people who are downloading sounds, you can’t miss his name and then here we have Apostle Michael Orokpo. Church Gist. These are…please, watch your tribe. God has brought you here into a tribe, a tribe of fire. God is raising up a generation, that the fathers who have gone to glory, when they look down will say, ‘That is what we are talking about’. Men like Elijah that will say, ‘If I be a man of God, there will not be rain’. God didn’t say there would not be rain, but Elijah said so. How do I know he said (so)? ‘But according to my word’ and Heaven stamped it.

If we stop here tonight, it’s alright. I want you to understand what we’re talking about. Prayer and fasting is not something we do because our Church said we should do so. You have been praying, you have been fasting, have you changed clothes? Church Gist. Which new mantle are you wearing? We may start together doesn’t mean we are still at the same level. Please, make it a point of duty to stay, to wait to the point of overflowing.

Now hear me, there are nations that may never be delivered until some of us rise. Communities, cities, states. It’s no mistake God said ‘Start in the Capital. Set up fire in the Capital of this Nation’. We didn’t come to start Church, we came to awake a generation. Church Gist. Look, it’s like me telling him (tapping an usher), ‘Wake up, you’ve been sleeping too long’. Hear me, there is nothing normal about the faith that was once delivered, nothing normal. Men like the Archbishop Benson Idahosa will be travelling in a convoy and he will see people gathering, he’ll say ‘What happened there?’ They said ‘Somebody died’. He’ll say ‘Park’. Our generation will say ‘Speed’. A man will say ‘Park’ and will park and his escort and police will come out and he will go and lay hands on the dead and say ‘Come back to life’. Church Gist. What if the dead didn’t come back to life? My question is, what if they did? If you know where we are coming from, you will be angry where we are. What we call Church is not what it is. There are dimensions.

Evan Roberts will hold an entire nation at the age of 26. Men like Daddy G.O. (Pastor Enoch Adeboye) began at our age. Men like Oyedepo began at our age. Time is already passing. In fact, the Lord told me, He said, ‘If you don’t take this step now, by 2025, the door is closed for you’. The Lord told me last year, He said ‘I am already selecting my men for this generation. Church Gist. Men that will shake the World in the next 20 years. I’m picking them everywhere I can find them’. You may not have a name now, you may not have an office now, but if God has given you the nations, faith must come alive. Not bread and butter faith. Not faith for a car, not faith for a house, faith for nations.

So leave me at the Altar with my Father.

— Singing —

People that will wait are men of the Altar. It was at the Altar men will say ‘Give me Scotland or I die’. At the Altar! What are you doing in your comfort zone and a generation is wasting? You see, when you stay at the Altar, you begin to take steps and men think you are mad, but until you are ‘mad’, you cannot be made. Church Gist. It takes someone who has waited to hear the voice of God. ‘Leave your father’s house, your mother’s house, to a land I will show you’ and the Bible says ‘Abraham departed’. He didn’t depart alone. He departed with his wife, departed with Lot, departed with all the souls to an unknown destination. Why? He had waited. We are not mad, we are men of the Altar. I told the Lord one time, I said ‘If there is a crime I am guilty of, it’s that I am too hungry. I am too thirsty. I am not satisfied’. Church Gist. I’ve read too much to say ‘Hallelujah. Amen’ and close my Bible. If there is a true revival, our nation too will change. Men of the Altar.

In case you are not aware, we were here 4 o’clock to 5 pm in the Upper Room, praying. Praying and fasting. Please, go beyond 21 days sir, go beyond. Let it be that you are truly waiting. Isaiah 40:31. Men of the Altar. We don’t have to climb the Pulpit in our Churches to be men of fire. Church Gist. Are you hearing what I’m saying? We don’t have to have a title to be men of fire. You can serve in the ushering unit and as you shake someone, miracles take place. ‘Leave me at the Altar’. You have notes filled from Church. Do you have notes filled from His presence? ‘Leave me at the Altar with my Father’.

I just heard something now in my spirit. You say ‘Leave me at the Altar’. Now, if people belong to your tribe, what should you tell them? ‘Meet me at the Altar’. Church Gist. Where do we meet? At the Altar. Meet me at the Altar with my Father. ‘Isaac, where will you be in January?’ ‘Meet me at the Altar with my Father’.
