– Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche on “INTENSIFYING PRAYER FORCE – Part 3A” || August 2023 Blessing Sunday Service || Glory Dome, Abuja.
James 5:16. We intend to finish the unfinished business of last month and that is “INTENSIFYING PRAYER FORCE (Part 3A)” before we trust God for the release of the blessing today. Church Gist. Our objective remains understanding those factors that can intensify the force of prayer. Last month, we outlined the steps to take, specific action steps that may guarantee answers to our prayers. We said atimes, you may have taken those steps and it appears like prayers are still not answered, what do you do? We then said that it is possible to intensify the force of the prayer with many things. Church Gist. We preached the first part of this message two Sundays ago, the second part, last Sunday and I will like you to pick them up if you were not here.
We mentioned:
1. Praying with vision
2. Praying with fasting as the second factor that would intensify our prayer force.
3. Praying in agreement. You’re coming into agreement with a brother, Church or the brethren, that will help intensify the force of your prayer.
4. Praying in the spirit. Praying in tongues is a factor that intensifies answers to prayer. Church Gist. You have prayed in your understanding and it looks like results are not coming, then you shift further to pray in the spirit.
5. Praying with vows and sacrifices. Where you let God know, “Lord, I am trusting you for this, if this happens to me, this is what I will do” or “Lord, I am making this sacrifice for the sake of this particular issue in my life.
6. Praying with praise. Church Gist. That is, you have prayed and done all you can do at the altar of prayer and then the next thing to do is to begin to praise God at every remembrance of your prayer.
7. Praying for others in intercession. Matthew 7:12. Praying in intercession for others amplifies the effect of your prayer. Church Gist. I’m going to look at two examples in the Scripture.
7a. Job.
Job ignored his own challenges to reach out in intercession for his friends and then God turned his captivity. Job 42:10. Church Gist. Job was in captivity but he overlooked and despised his own captivity and decided to go ahead and pray for his friends and when God saw that job prayed for his friends, God turned his captivity.
7b. Joseph.
In this case, it was not prayer but the interpretation of dreams. Joseph despised his own frustration and decided to handle the frustration of his co-inmates in the prison in Egypt. Genesis 40:5-9. Church Gist. He interpreted their dreams whereas his own dream had remained uninterpreted. At the end of the day, God showed up and changed the life of Joseph and gave him the interpretation of his dreams.
How does intercession work?
A. Intercession works by the power of love. You love a person so much or you decided to work in the love of God to ignore yourself to pay attention to another. Church Gist. It works by the power of love and God is love. 1 John 4:8. Where God sees love, He moves. Galatians 5:6. So, when you walk in love, you put faith to work and when God sees Faith, God moves.
B. Intercession works by the power of sacrifice. It is a great sacrifice for you to be in need and you’re not praying for your own need, you’re praying for the need of another person. Church Gist. I sacrifice my own problem and situation and praying for another. Throughout Scripture we know that everytime God sees sacrifice, the fire falls. 2 Chronicles 7:1. The fire of Divine intervention falls everytime God sees sacrifice. I told you the story sometime ago of how a man was praying for healing for people and he had a heart condition, arrhythmia for 21 years. Church Gist. He said, one day he met a man on the line who was trusting God for healing from arrhythmias, heart condition, he laid his hands on the man and as he prayed for the man, both of them fell down under the anointing. When they woke up, both were healed. Church Gist. In other words, “you have decided to despise your own problem to pray for him, I heal him and I heal you”.
– Today, I see God intervening for somebody here, if you’re that one, say a louder Amen!
There’s someone here, God may be telling you, you have prayed for yourself for too long, you have focused on yourself for too long, try and pray for somebody. You want God to give you a husband, try and pray for somebody trusting God for a husband, you want a child, try and pray for somebody else and I see God changing your story!
8. Praying with Kingdom service. Exodus 23:25. These are all the things we pray about that service is doing. Exodus 23:26. It is clear throughout Scripture that the platform of Kingdom service is the platform of answered prayer. Church Gist. Another way to say it is, the answer to your prayer is waiting at the place of your service. All the things that people ask for is what He said He will do if you will serve. Examples include David in Psalms 69:17. Zechariah, of course in Luke 1:5,8,11-13. Zechariah wasn’t praying at that time, Zechariah was serving at the altar. It’s like you’re in the choir singing or standing as an usher or the crowd control, the prayer department, the camera, wherever and you’re not praying, you’re working for God and God is saying, “your prayer is answered”, the question is, what prayer? Church Gist. The one you prayed before. Whatever you’re trusting God for is answered because you’re at your place of duty.
– I prophesy to everyone here today, every faithful, dutiful and committed servant of the Lord in this house, I decree, your prayers are answered! Every delay to the answer to your prayers, those delays are over forever!
That is why it is not good to be an executive Christian. That is the one the one that is a big man Christian, goes to Church without doing anything in Church, he’s not involved in anything. Church Gist. I was with a man the other day with my wife, we were together speaking. This man is a Church usher, he said, “I just finished signing a contract of 200 billion today”. He was in his house when they sent for him. The billions didn’t stop him from standing as an usher. Wife, choir. There are many of us, we haven’t reached anywhere, we have already arrived, we are already too big. Church Gist. Who said you can be too big to be an usher or too big to clean the Church or too big to clean toilet in Church or too big to direct traffic. No sir. “You shall serve the Lord your God and He shall bless..”. Church Gist. Answered prayer is waiting for you at the place of your service.
– I prophesy to somebody here today, in the name of Jesus, your service will distinguish you in this season!
How does service work?
8a. God is committed to the welfare of those who serve Him. Psalm 35:27. You don’t cry before He answers.
8b. God promised His blessing and goodness for those who serve Him. Exodus 23:25. Church Gist. There’s someone here saying, “I’m faithful in Church, I pray, I fast, I give. What is the missing link in my life?” The Lord is saying to you right now, the missing link is called service. There’s something you can do, you might not be able to sing in the choir or stand with the ushers, in fact, one of the easiest things that most people do is to come to Church on Saturday and clean the sanctuary. Church Gist. We have people of all manner, professors, all manner and categories of people, they come to do that. You’re going to say, “Lord, I won’t sit down like I’m an executive before God. I am a small boy and a small child before God and I can do anything”.
– somebody say a loud Amen!
Kingdom service makes your prayer answered; answered prayer is waiting for you at the place of your service. That was what happened to Zechariah.
9. Praying with soul-winning. You don’t just pray, you win souls, you lead people to Christ, you’re interested in leading people to Christ. Church Gist. There’s a direct Scripture here, John 15:16. These are dimensions of prayer that many of us never knew before. Don’t just invite people to Church, ensure that they’re established. John 15:16. This is too direct, it’s a straight line equation.
Let me give you two Scriptural examples of this situation of soul-winning. Now, in the old testament, I will give you an example of one person called Anah. Genesis 36:24. Church Gist. He was looking after his father’s flock, preventing the missing of the flock and while he was looking after his father’s flock, he found his own. When you become interested in the Father’s assignment, you won’t struggle for your own assignment. Church Gist. I will give you a second Scriptural example; Luke 22:35.
– somebody today, the end of your lack has come!
How does soul-winning affect our prayer life? Two things;
9a. God promised answered prayer for the soul-winner and soul establisher. Church Gist. It’s a promise and God cannot break His promise. John 15:16.
9b. If the interest of God becomes your interest, your interest becomes the interest of God. That’s how it works. James 4:8a. If what interests God interests you, what interests you will interest God. Church Gist. You’re interested in getting married, making a lot of money, maybe for the sake of the Kingdom, you’re interested in impacting your generation, become interested in what interests God and what is that? Souls! 2 Peter 3:9.
We had a very hectic week with the youth this week, the Ignite conference. Powerful meeting, I was preaching almost everyday. Fire on the mountain. Church Gist. Some days, they scheduled me twice, then Friday was vigil, we left here almost 5am. Intense impact. Those children can never remain the same. By next year, we are trusting God that this sanctuary will be jammed to capacity with youths and children to go and impact their world. After such a hectic meeting, I was meant to rest, but we went out again. Church Gist. Around evening, I was feeling somehow, maybe there’s somebody that may need an encounter, let me go out for outreach and I went out one by one and truly when I came to the place I was ministering, crowd gathered. One place, so many soldiers came around me, went on their knees. Now, I have done soulwinning throughout the week oh, Healing service, I led people to Christ, youth conference, I led people to Christ, so if I was thinking of my quota of soul-winning for the week, it’s already overfilled. Church Gist m Don’t feel comfortable going from Sunday after Sunday without thinking of somebody going to Heaven with you. That is religion. Compel them, there’s a world that is galloping to a hopeless eternity and the frustration in our land today is far more than any other time in history. People are looking for God, they are looking for answers and solutions, you will give them those solutions. We have testimonies of people, somebody was on evangelism ground when his phone rang, he had a gift of a car. We have had all manner of testimonies. Church Gist. A woman, whose house couldn’t he sold, big house in Abuja here, she was on evangelism field and she said, “Lord, I’m going to do your work for you”. While she did that work, the testimony came. Young lady was on a field in Asaba, we were talking of evangelism here and she found herself in Asaba and she went out to preach and while she was preaching, the young man she was preaching to was already a born again Christian and the Lord was telling the man, “this is your wife”. Church Gist. Young lady was trusting God for a husband, not knowing that the husband is in the Evangelism field. At the end of the day, he was the one who won the girl. Both of them came here to testify. She found her husband at the field of evangelism.
Beloved brothers and sisters, let us walk Scriptures because they work. Church Gist. You have prayed enough, now step out in soul-winning and in Kingdom service. You have prayed for yourself enough, pray for somebody else and something will change.

– every curse that worked against you before today, I declare they are cleaned out by this blessing in the name of Jesus!
– I prophesy to you today, the blessing of life is released upon your life!
– you shall not be cut short before your time!
– the blessing of Divine health and vitality is released upon you!
– every trace of disease and death in your body, be swallowed up by the Blood of Jesus!
– in the name of Jesus, I speak the blessing of supernatural supply, every demon of scarcity, empty-handedness and poverty, be cleared out of your life right now!
– in the name of Jesus, I speak the blessing of liberty, every chain and bondage on your life be broken right now!
– in the name of Jesus, I speak the blessing of peace! Everyone currently in any trace or form of crisis and battle, I declare the battle is over!
– I speak the blessing of Divine direction. Everyone in the midst of confusion, the confusion gives way for direction!
– anywhere you need direction from God, it is released right now!
– I speak the opening up of your destiny today in the name of Jesus!
– I speak over the destiny of our nation, Nigeria, the agenda of evil is arrested! The agenda of Jehovah is established! In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost! So shall it be!
