PRACTICAL STEPS ON HOW TO GET PROPHECIES FULFILLED IN YOUR LIFE

Magnify Him just wave those hands to Him, tell Him you love Him. He is worthy to be glorified. Blessed be your name mighty God in Jesus Most wonderful name.

People are afraid – how will they survive for the next day all over the globe. Church Gist. But God has good news for you, in the midst of all the challenges he will do great things in your life! - When others are saying well, Naira is to Dollar, refuse to be afraid!
- No matter the thing, your case will be different!
- God will do something spectacular in your life
Appropriate that prophecy to yourself.
We are still in the month of, ‘LET’S PRAISE HIM’ and today we will be looking at, ‘PRAISE FOR FULFILMENT OF PROPHECIES (Part One). Church Gist. What is praise? Praise is the exalting and magnifying God in words, songs, clapping and dancing for who He is. Fulfilment means to convert and to bring into reality something predicted, foretold or promised. Prophecy means an inspired utterance. It is something declared in advance to happen. In this context, prophecy is something declared in advance to happen by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Church Gist. So, praise for fulfilment of prophecy simply means singing and dancing to exalt and honour God for Him to bring into reality what He has promised or spoken in advance.
2 Peter 1:19-21. Everything in the Word of God is a prophecy to you. Prophecy is not somebody vibrating; most times people see nothing. Whatever is written in God’s Word is a prophecy and is more authentic than whatever any man says to you. Church Gist. So God’s Word is the surest prophecy. It is surest because it is all inspired by God and thereby, infallible. The Bible is a book of divine prophecies.
Some things to note about biblical prophecies:
1) God’s Word is for fulfilment: every prophecy is for fulfilment. Matthew 5:18. Mark 14:49b. Church Gist. So the prophecies in the Word of God are failure proofs. They are to be fulfilled.
- Today, and beyond today, they will be fulfilled in your life.
Isaiah 34:16 (KJV, AMPC); Isaiah 55:11; Matthew 24:34-35 (GNT); Hebrews 6:17-18 (NLT). Every prophecy of God’s Word is backed with an oath sworn by Himself that is why it is impossible to fail. If any prophecy has not been fulfilled, it is because of ignorance. Church Gist. It is ignorance that makes people to doubt that it will not come to pass. Listen carefully: if God has said anything here, no matter the contradicting circumstance, stand on the integrity of God’s Word, it will come to pass.
- I decree that today, as you begin to stir God to make them work, everything God has written in His Word shall come to pass in your life!
You can bank on God’s Word all the time because God is not a man that He should lie. Numbers 23:19.
Prophecies do not fulfil themselves; you provoke the fulfilment of prophecies. So we are looking at, how to get prophecies fulfilled in your life. So, how do I provoke the fulfilment of the prophecies of God? Church Gist. For instance, God said to all of us including me, we shall lend to nations; we shall not borrow, is that not true? I had to provoke that Word, I have never borrowed as a Pastor, rather I give people.
I saw one Word, 1997, when my wife and I were together and I read Gloria Copeland’s book and I said, listen I am taking a decision today as husband and wife, we will never owe. I said this is the last day in our life we will ever owe. I saw, ‘owe no man.’ (Romans 13:8). I provoked the prophecy. Church Gist. Everything was turning in our face, poverty was in our face, all we had in the house was 50 Naira but I stood and provoked that prophecy and I have never been indebted; not that I came out of debt. I have never owed; I’ve never bought on credit, it’s a principle I have. It’s not a sin to buy on credit – please don’t misquote me, but I don’t.
One time I was in Detroit, Michigan and I met a young man who was in his 40s. With the age now, he should be up to 60. Church Gist. He had only one daughter; he is a multi-billionaire on dollars. We were talking together, 2 of us alone, he said, ‘Pastor, you like cars, I said yes I love cars. He said follow me.’ I entered, he opened his garage, said I bought this from Bill Cosby – 4 million Dollars, I bought this car from so so actor – 3 million Dollars, he was just calling millions. Church Gist. Then, at the end of the day he said Pastor do you know one thing about me, I’ve never owed. He said I have never collected a loan all my life. In America? Owing is not a sin there; in fact if you don’t owe you’re a misfit.
So, it’s possible to live in a society where you’re not practicing what society says, you practice the Word of God. Church Gist. And Detroit then, was in the highest crises. Michigan was going through financial crises and somebody was saying he is heavily rich. So, prophecies can be fulfilled.
- Today you too, your own will be fulfilled!
HOW TO GET PROPHECIES FULFILLED IN YOUR LIFE
1) Fight in faith: have faith in God and His Word. Mark 9:23; 1 Thessalonians 5:20. The Word you despise cannot be fulfilled. Faith is absolute confidence in God and His Word that what He has said must come to pass. Church Gist. Faith is a covenant force for the fulfilment of prophecies because without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6; Luke 1:45; Numbers 23:19. God wants you to trust Him; He hates it when you doubt Him. So, stand on the integrity of God’s Word.
Every prophecy can be fulfilled on the grounds of faith. Faith is the fight. 1 Timothy 6:12. Sit down and consciously build up your faith in the Word of prophecy that has been declared. Church Gist. Anything God has said to you, build your faith that area and then stand on the integrity of the Word of God in that area for God to fulfil it.
2) Contend in prayers: Jeremiah 29:11-14. God is simply saying ‘is there anything He has said concerning you, Go ahead and pray for that thing to be actualized.’ Hebrews 4:16. Church Gist. Prophecy has gone forth, now you pray it. ‘Lord, this is what you said; I pray it till it comes to pass.’ Zechariah 10:1. Every word of prophecy you have received is a seed. So no matter how precious the seed is, without rain, it will die in the ground. Prayer is the rain you are pouring on the seed for it to germinate. And sometimes, you back it up with fasting. Matthew 17:21. Church Gist. There are things God has told you and you see that the opposition is so thick, you fast. In Matthew 10, He gave them power over unclean spirits but in Matthew 17:20-21, they could not cast out demon.
Some of you have never fasted all your life is that not true? We fast every Thursday in this Church, but there are people who have never fasted. Church Gist. Even in the midst of fasting, how you know some people don’t fast, when we go for rally, like during the Glory Reign, you see some people by 11am, they are taking water. You know that they didn’t fast all through 21 days but they are coming oo.
I met a man of God, he said Pastor I have never fasted. I said how are you a man of God now? I told him to fast; he said he has never fasted. Church Gist. I said, no wonder nothing is working. I said how can you not fast? And he was born into Church; the only thing is that they didn’t name him, ‘Mission.’ I looked at him twice, and if you look at him you will know that he is a vegetable Christian. I told him it can’t work like that. And he came for me to find out how he will do it, I said, ‘this one you have not done is one of the things you will do.’ Church Gist. I said if you don’t fast, satan has no respect for your English. He has big big degrees but the Church is not growing. He has a PhD.
3) Praise God for the prophecy to be fulfilled: Praise God in expectation of fulfilment of His Word. Psalm 106:12. If you believe God’s Word then praise Him. Psalm 52:9; 1 Peter 1:8-9; Psalm 56:10; John 1:1, 14. Church Gist. You praise God and the Word becomes real in your life.
I’ll give you an example: Isaac was in figure, Abraham praised God and Isaac came. Every promise of God is the Word of God invisible; when you praise God the invisible becomes visible. Church Gist. So, it is not enough to believe God’s Word, it is important that you praise Him. Romans 4:17-21; Luke 1:30-35, 38, 46-49.
I am going to give you practical steps on how to make it happen because all these ones are written theory. You know, there’s Chemistry theory and there’s Chemistry practicals. Church Gist. After they say Oxygen plus Hydrogen equals, you must go and carry it out practically otherwise a chemical combination will not be complete. After the theory, you go to the laboratory.
So now, some of you, you have copied note. The challenge comes face to face what do you do?
Somebody was with me and was sick of diabetes, and he quoted all the Scriptures and I said Sir, if you know all these Scriptures you still have diabetes? Practicals are different from theory. Church Gist. A man wrote a book, ‘1,000 ways to grow Church’, he has no Church. He has all the theories and has no practicals.
PRACTICAL STEPS ON HOW TO GET PROPHECIES FULFILLED IN YOUR LIFE:
1) Locate the appropriate Scriptures concerning your situation: Every time you are confronted, locate the appropriate Scriptures concerning your situation. Church Gist. Psalm 68:11; Psalm 107:20; Isaiah 9:8. Receive and Believe the Word you have located because the Word you don’t believe cannot produce.
2) Give God quality praise continually: Psalm 34:1; Romans 4:20-21.
I’ll give you practical example: I’ve shared this testimony before but many of you don’t know the … Long ago, some journalists came after me – very fierce. Either they were to destroy me for life or I triumph over them. They went to the presidency and reported me that I should be arrested. I knew nobody, it was a fierce battle. Church Gist. The then President of the NUJ was also part of them. I said what kind of fight! They were on air, on social media, everywhere. It was a gang up between the occult world, some journalists, some pastors inclusive, some politicians; they said ‘finish this man whichever way you finish him.’
So at that point, I went to the Word; that’s why you must locate the Word. I laid a sacrifice because revelation comes with sacrifice – I don’t want to teach that one. Church Gist. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. When I laid the sacrifice I said Lord, give me a Word, give me a revelation. While I was sitting down He said, Psalm 18:39-40. So, I took this Scripture and I praised God in the night. After I finished praise, the battle turned. The person who led the team died physically. Church Gist. Others were locked up; God took over the battle and fought them to shege (African colloquial). And that was the end of the battle.
Your own case will be different from my own case but every time there’s a situation, pick the Scripture. Put the Scripture before you and then praise God with the Scripture then the Word will become flesh. Church Gist. First and foremost, it is not just dancing. For any prophecy to be fulfilled in your life, you must first and foremost locate the Scripture relevant to the situation, and then praise God based on that Scripture.
Let me give you another example in the Bible: Abraham, you shall be a father of many nations – that was what he saw, God said so, there was no Bible then. Romans 4:17-20. Don’t consider, ‘how is God going to do this thing’ because that is our problem most times. Stop analyzing how God will do it. Scriptural prophecies are unbreakable. Church Gist. Isaiah 55:11. Your own is to stand on the integrity of God’s Word and praise Him. Not even doctor can explain how the baby is formed. Ecclesiastes 11:5. Even when they want to do IVF, they have to take sperm from a man. Nobody can form a baby; no medicine can do it. True? God says, ‘Since you don’t understand that mystery, don’t try to analyze how I will do it.’
Mary said, ‘I don’t want to know how I will be pregnant, just do it according to your word. Now if you were Mary, you know you will be sitting down to think, ‘how am I going to be pregnant? No man?’ Church Gist. She said, ‘I Believe your word, be it unto me according to your word and I magnify you.’ She began to praise God. How many will praise God? Praise God that Lord, this Scripture must be fulfilled.
