Spiritual Week of Emphasis, Day Three
Hallelujah!
Shall we lift our hands to Heaven this evening and give glory to God; appreciate Him for bringing you to this third day in this week of Spiritual Emphasis. “After two days He will revive us and in the third day, He will raise us up”. Now speak to Him and thank Him for bringing you to this third day, the climax of the third day; the season of rising, your time of elevation. Give Him the glory, give Him the honour.
Thank Him also for all of the prayers that you have offered and the answers that you are sure you have secured on the altar of prayer. Give glory to God; give praise to His name. Give honour and adoration and celebrate His faithfulness. He is worthy of all the praise and He is worthy of all the glory. He is worthy of all the honour and worthy of all adoration. Father, we say thank You.
Begin to ask Him to speak to you tonight; I have come here tonight for an encounter with You; I have come here tonight to be transformed by You. I have come here tonight to be changed by You. Speak to me tonight, Lord. Church Gist.
Blessed be Your Holy name, in Jesus precious name we have prayed.
Our Father tonight we have come before You to give glory and praise to Your Holy name for all that You have done, thank You for Your faithfulness, for the answers You have been granting to our prayers, for the encounters You have been giving us since this Week of Emphasis began; we give all the praise and glory to You.
Lord, our eyes are on You tonight, we ask of You that You will speak to us yet again, that by Your Word, You will transform our lives. Thank You mighty God, in Jesus precious we have prayed.

Our Prophetic Focus for this month as we heard on Wednesday is: I AM REDEEMED FOR THE TOPMOST TOP
- That shall be your experience in the name of Jesus Christ!
Our series of teachings in our Mid-week Services has been Unveiling The Fundamentals of Success. We began that journey in this week of Emphasis and we are going to continue with the third part in this series of teachings. Church Gist. By way of introduction, let’s be reminded that every child of God is ordained for the top in his or her adventure on the earth (Deuteronomy 28:13). That is why the Word of God makes it clear that the redeemed of God are ordained to ride on the high places of the earth.
Deuteronomy 32:9-14
From the Word of God, it is clear that every one of His people are ordained to be high flyers upon the earth. That means you are ordained to be a high flyer. That is why the end time says and as described in scripture as saviours (Obadiah 1:21). That is God’s program. In other words, we are sent after the order of Joseph with solutions to the challenges of a generation (Genesis 45:7). This is why the Word of God makes it clear that the whole of creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19-21).
- My prayer is that for each one hearing my voice tonight, you shall be registered among those that will manifest!
What that therefore means is that, failure and mediocrity is an abuse on the privilege of redemption. Redemption is for lifting, not for mediocrity (Ephesians 2:5-6). You are not to be brought down but to be raised up. So, to be average or to be on the ground, is contrary to your redemptive design. It is an abuse on the package of redemption. Church Gist. You are not designed in redemption to beg the world; the world is to beg you. That is God’s design in redemption (Zachariah 8:23). The answer the world is looking for is in the hand of the redeemed. You are not packaged to be reduced; you are ordained to be raised.
- For somebody here, in this month, the hand of God will raise you to unimaginable height!
Isaiah 2:1-3.
You are not designed to be relegated to the back but to be projected to the top.
- For somebody here, by the encounters you will have with God this month, you shall be catapulted to the top!
No wonder we are told that the destiny of the redeemed is glorious (Romans 8:29-30). So, every child is ordained to have a colourful, glorious, beautiful, enviable destiny. That is the package of redemption for the redeemed. So when you are born again, you are changing lanes; you are no longer packaged to be average, you are no longer permitted for failure; you are ordained for the top.
- For somebody here, that topmost top that God has ordained you for; you will manifest it in the name of Jesus Christ!
To enjoy this success package that God has ordained for the redeemed, there are laws to be engaged (Joshua 1:8). So good success is a product of engaging laws; spiritual laws. Church Gist. These laws are forces in the realm of the Spirit that position you and I for exploits and we’ve been looking at some of those laws and forces of the spirit as we began on Wednesday and tonight, we are going to look at a particular vital force and that is what we refer to as the force of prayer and fasting.
Somebody may ask; Pastor, we are talking about success, we are talking about explores, what is the role that prayer and fasting has to play?
We are going to look at that very closely tonight and I believe that as God’s light comes into your spirit man, may the grace required to engage with it come afresh upon our lives.
First of all, let’s recognize that the foundation of everything physical is actually spiritual (Hebrews 11:3). So, God’s Word makes it clear that the raw material for the physical is the spiritual; the starting point, the controlling axis for the physical is the spiritual. Church Gist. In fact, the spiritual realm is the control valve of the physical realm. What becomes of you physically is determined by what you do Spiritually. If you lose control of the spiritual, you have lost control of the physical. The height you can get to in the physical is determined by the height that you get to in the spiritual (2 Corinthians 4:18).
Every time you engage a spiritual force, you can change a natural course. It does not matter what it is that is taking place in the natural, it can be transformed from the spiritual. That is why the starting point in the realm of the spirit and prayer and fasting is the instrument of enforcement in the realm of the spirit (Matthew 17:21). Church Gist. Whatever will not change by choice will only change by force and what requires spiritual force requires this engagement of the instrument of prayer and fasting. That is why when a man withdraws from the altar of prayer and fasting, he has left his life at the mercy of the winds. He can be blown in any direction, he can move in anyway; he can only move according to where the wind carries him. He’s left helpless.
In the past when people used to say, they used to use windsail and when they are used with any boat, you can only go where the wind allows you to go. Wherever the wind does not permit you to go, you cannot go there. So, you are at the mercy of the wind. What you do is, you are just expecting the wind to blow in your own favour in order to get to where you want to get to. The truth about life is that, there are many contrary winds; you want to go forward, the wind is going backward. You want to go right; it is blowing left. Church Gist. You want to go left; it is blowing right. It is usually contrary to the direction that a man ought to go and that is what keeps many individuals impeded in their journey towards progress but then, there is the development of setting boats that are now engine boats, steam engine boats and these boats do not depend on the wind. The wind can be going backward but the engine is pushing them forward. It does not depend on what is happening in the environment; the environment is on its own, the boat is going in its own direction. That is what happens when a man begins to subject himself to the force of prayer and fasting. The winds of life do not control your destiny; you begin to move in the direction that God has ordained for you in spite of the various resistances on the earth.
I’ll like you to understand that we are in the season on the earth where the earth will be facing increasing difficulties and this is the time where there is a requirement for us to be propelled by force, not left to the choice of the environment. Like God’s servant will say, the laws of man are usually based on all things being equal but now, all things are unequal. So, when all things become unequal, what is it that still gives you steady progress and guarantee success. It is not the laws that man enact but the laws that God enacts. One law may be pulling men down but there is a superior law that can push men up. The law that pushes men against the force that pulls them is the law of the spirit, it is a force. It is not something that allows you to be subject to the environmental realities. Realities are there but your own experiences are contrary to environmental realities.
- For somebody here, it doesn’t matter what is happening in the world around you; you will be scaling to the top!
In nature, we are told that there is a force of gravity. What is the job of gravity? To pull down. When a man jumps up, he comes down. Not because of anything, it is not his weight that pulls him down, it is gravity that pulls him down. There is a force that keeps saying, “you want to go up? I am pulling you down.” That is what the enemy keeps doing; grounding people, pulling them down, trying to keep them on the ground, trying to ensure that there are not kept up. Church Gist. That’s why you discover that even in nature, whatever keeps you off the ground is extremely uncomfortable. Lift your leg, you will be tired very soon. Why? Because it is off the ground. The force of nature says, this leg must be on the ground. It says that your system must be on the ground continuously but then, there is a force of uplift. That force counters the effect of the force of gravity.
In prayer and fasting, you engaging a countering force. There is the gravity of the enemy pulling destinies but then, there is a countering force of prayer and fasting, pushing destinies up.
- From today, your destiny shall be powered upwards!
What are some of the vital effects of prayer and fasting, particularly as it has to do with success?
1). It unleashes the breakthrough anointing.
The reality of life is that, on the journey towards success, there are opposing forces (1 Corinthians 16:9). To break through those forces, there is an auction that is required (Isaiah 45:1-3).
The barriers of life are organized by the enemy to resist and repel your progress but God has designed you by redemption to advance in spite of opposition. So, “all of them are fighting me” is not an excuse in redemption. No! It is not an excuse in redemption. As a redeemed child of God, you are ordained to break through every barrier and that breakthrough unction can be captured on the altar of prayer.
- I see somebody here today, encountering a new dimension of the breakthrough auction in the name of Jesus Christ!
Jeremiah 1:18-19
The force of prayer and fasting is a breakthrough force.
Luke 4:1-2, 14
Jesus the Son of God was relegated to Nazareth, a tiny village where He was kept without identity. He carried Heaven’s deposit inside of Him but no expression but suddenly, He went to pray and fast and by the time Jesus returned, something had changed (Luke 4:14).
Prayer and fasting is force that unleashes supernatural dimension lof breakthrough (Zachariah 8:20-23). Church Gist. Those who are committed on the altar of prayer and fasting, they are the ones that enjoy breakthrough without limit.
- That will be somebody’s experience here!
So you want the breakthrough anointing? The key is simple; engage in prayer and fasting. When the breakthrough anointing comes upon your life, you don’t need to fight your enemies; God will be fighting on your behalf (Psalm 89:20-24). The altar of prayer is the altar of unction; where we come into realms of power. That is why we are have been told that in prayer, we don’t only secure answers; we secure power. As you stay with God on the altar of prayer, there is usually a transfusion of power; there’s a spiritual transaction taking place where God is depositing His power base inside of you; you find yourself operating in new dimensions of power.
No matter how angry you are, you will not go and hug a transformer because of what is inside it. You can’t spark now and then go to a transformer and hold it out of anger. No, the holding is damage, the holding is death because of the power base. Church Gist. There is a dimension of power that you carry danger sign; where the enemy sees you and begin to clear out of the way.
- I see somebody entering into that dimension in the name of Jesus!
You know when you see where they keep certain things, transformers and so forth, you see signs; skull with two dry bones – danger. So people who are walking besides transformers, they naturally move slightly away in case the transformer spark and blow. So, everybody gives it a space of respect. Church Gist. That is what happens when power changes level. If you see a socket, you will stroll by it but you are careful with a transformer. Both of them carry power but at different levels. When you change level of power, the enemy begins to give you space; he begins to clear out of the way.
When Israel was to go through the Red sea, Moses raised up his rod and the sea parted, they walked on dry ground. When the priests were to go over Jordan; Jordan is smaller than the sea, the Bible says they have to put their legs inside the water before the water began to clear. Both of them, power but different levels. There are some dimensions of power that will still struggle with opposition; there are other dimensions of power that opposition will begin to take its leave as soon as you appear. Every time you are praying, keep reminding yourself; I am changing power level. Understand this; it is not requesting power that upgrades power. It is staying in prayer that upgrades power (Luke 9:28-29, 43). So power changes levels as we stay in prayer. It is not just the prayer power point that brings power your way, it is staying at the power point of prayer that changes your level of power.
If you take your phone and plug it into your socket, it’s already drawing power but it will take time for it to be full. It is how long the phone stays with the power that determines the degree of power that the phone carries. Church Gist. If you don’t stay with God in prayer, you can’t roll with God in power. Our power growth is tied to our prayer growth. If you want to grow in power, simply grow in prayer – it changes your level.
- Somebody’s level is changing in the name of Jesus Christ!
God’s servant went to the Nation of Libya, many of us have heard the testimony and got into the hotel and in that hotel, there was a woman, the Queen of Sheba, an occultic leader, when she came to the Nation, she was received with celebration but as soon as God’s servant entered into the hotel, no discussion. She packed her load and ran out, not ran out of the hotel; she ran out of the country, just because somebody arrived into the hotel. Church Gist. There was a warning sign in the realm of the Spirit – Danger!!!
Why? Power base was already in the environment and therefore, it cleared the environment. All these ones that something runs in the ceiling and you say those are the things that are chasing you, that are stopping your success, no! Somebody must grow in power here.
Stop giving excuses; the way some people talk, you’ll think satan left everybody to face their case. Stop giving excuses, just change level and you will see the devil clear out.
- Somebody’s story here is changing!
We have a testimony here that just came recently from one of the converts of God’s servant, very powerful testimony. This individual gave her life to Christ last year March, 2021 and then, she has been committed in church and doing all that is necessary and suddenly one day, she said the daughter of the mother’s elder sister came and then, they decided to come down to Canaanland. Church Gist. As they got towards the gate of Canaanland, she said she wanted to return back home but she said she forced her to enter church. She said during the ministration, she became uncomfortable and began to make all manner of strange movements. On Monday, she then told her that she has offended her and she wants to confess and began crying and refused to talk. So this person sprinkled the home with the blood of Jesus and gave her communion and immediately, she started confessing.
What was the mission of this person? She said that she saw a vision where a man wearing white came to tell her if she does not confess her mission in that house, she will die; the person she saw on the altar came to meet her in the night; the power base followed her into the dream. Now listen to the confession; that the mission was to kill everybody not serving God and that she wanted to kill the children, kill the wife and collect the husband. That was the mission in that house. She said but immediately she took her to the Mission Pastor, the Pastor prayed and she was delivered and became free and she has come to give glory to God.
That is, somebody was attacked, an agent was sent but the agent met a power base that they did not have conversation with. She saw the person on the altar and what she encountered began to disturb her even in the night. Church Gist. Like God’s servant will say, what if you had that same power? Whatever could keep the person from coming towards the gate of Canaanland, won’t it stop the person from entering your house? Don’t complain about the strength of the enemy; settle down to build up your own strength. The Bible does not say that when you are defeated it is because the enemy is strong. It says, it is because your strength is little (Proverbs 24:10).
Tell yourself; “I must grow. This month, I must grow.”
So when we are talking about success, you can’t divorce it from your power base. Do you think the devil wants to see the saved lifted up? No way. If he can ground you, he will ground you but when a person begins to carry a danger sign, the enemy looks at him from far and begin to clear the way.
- From today, the enemy that had been harassing you before will clear off the way for you!
2). It provokes the flow of supernatural favour (Nehemiah 1:1-11, Nehemiah 2:1-9). Favour is a treasure in the journey of life. As one engages the altar of prayer, particularly Kingdom advancement prayer, such individuals begin to enjoy supernatural dimension of favour.
Favour is about attracting blessings without demanding them. A favoured man magnetizes blessings without demanding them. That is the power of favour. The Word of God tells us concerning Solomon, it says he went before the Lord and worshipped before Him and prayed before Him and offered a sacrifice and God came down and said, now Solomon, ask me what you want (1 Kings 3:4-6). Church Gist. The man was in the mountain of prayer, not asking anything for himself and then, God said, ask me what you want and he began to pray a Kingdom focus prayer; Lord give me wisdom to carry out the assignment that You have put me here for. God said what? You mean you did not ask me for riches, honour or the lives of your enemies (1 Kings 3:13). Now listen to this; that wisdom that you have asked, I’ll give you above every other person but that which you have not asked; riches, honour and all of your enemies; I will give you all of that all the days of your life that there will not be one that can be measured with you.
Solomon was a man of unusual unexplainable honour, riches and all the things that he did ask for, he got it above others. You know Solomon got to a point the Bible says they were no longer counting silver; silver became like stones in Jerusalem. What gravel is; is what silver is. When silver come, there was no need to count. Just put it aside, only gold was worthy of counting – by reason of simply positioning under Heaven’s favour. From all the nations of the earth, gold and silver were coming to meet him in Jerusalem. So a man of favour does not look for complimentary cards, a favoured man is always sought after.
God’s servant said all the great people I’ve met on the earth today, there is none of them who I went to meet; every one of them came to look for me. That’s what favour does. When a man is favoured, that individual receives without demanding.
- I see that dimension of favour coming afresh upon somebody here!
So, when you commit to prayer and fasting, particularly for the Kingdom, you begin to emerge with unusual dimensions of favour (Matthew 6:6-18).
- Somebody’s story here is changing in the name of Jesus Christ!
3). It provokes supernatural wisdom. The wisdom of God is the critical element; the critical factor for the relevance of the saints after the order of Joseph and Daniel. Daniel ruled for 65 years by wisdom; wisdom came upon him and that wisdom catapulted him into relevance (Daniel 2:16-19).
The altar of prayer is an altar of wisdom (James 1:5). Wisdom is the secret of principal people. Why? It is the principal thing (Proverbs 4:7). It you want to be a principal personality, wisdom is a necessity and to actualize access to wisdom, you must engage effectively on the altar of prayer. This Commission is experiencing strange height by supernatural wisdom. The wisdom that God gave to his servant is what we are seeing manifested in various aspects of this Commission today, exploding on every side by wisdom. When Wisdom comes, you subdue territories, industries and terrains without struggle (Proverbs 21:22). So, as you stand in prayer, understand that you are gaining access to heavenly wisdom.
Finally, prayer and fasting propels one into realm of supernatural greatness. Paul was a fasting and prayer man (2 Corinthians 6:5, 2 Corinthians 11:27). He emerged into realms of unusual greatness (Acts 19:15) because the grace required to make great is contacted in prayer. The altar of prayer is called the altar of grace (Hebrews 4:6). So, you can’t be in prayer and lack grace (1 Corinthians 15:10).
You are not wasting your time engaging in prayer and fasting. No! You are building up power, you are increasing in favour, you are growing in wisdom and enlarging in greatness. So, stay committed and watch what God makes of you.

Lift your hands to Heaven and give thanks to God for His Word you have received tonight. Father, thank You for Your Word, blessed be Your Holy name, in the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
