YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO PREVENT LIGHT FROM SHINING UPON YOU, ALLOW THE LIGHT OF GOD TO SHINE UPON YOU.

I thank God that after several years, it has pleased God to bring me back to Cameroon. I believe that God will do something special in your life tonight. Mark 10:46-52. I believe the miracles have started already. Church Gist. You will be the next fellow to shout for joy. The story we read to you is a story you are fully aware of, Jesus came to a city and there was a huge crowd following him. Of all the people in the crowd, only one got a miracle. Tonight, at least one person will get a miracle.
When we say let there be light. We can see in the story of Bartimaeus that he had many problems but when he finally got the attention of Jesus, Jesus asked him what do you want? His answer was let there be light, give me my sight. Church Gist. The Bible says the eyes are the light of the body. He got the light and all his problems were solved. In the name of the one who sent me to Cameroon, all your problems will end tonight.
In John 9:5, Jesus Christ said “I am the light of the world.” When we say let there be light, we are simply saying, “Allow Jesus to pass by your side”. Let there be light means you have the ability to prevent light from shining upon you. Let there be light is actually an appeal to someone here tonight, allow the light of God to shine upon you. It could mean allow Jesus to pass by your side. When Jesus passes by your side. Church Gist. He can change many things immediately. He can change your night to day. Because the one who was blind lives his whole life in darkness. He doesn’t know the difference between morning, afternoon or evening. Everything is black to him. But the moment his eyes open, it means his night has changed to day.
– I prophesy to somebody here tonight, your night will change today!
…And the implication of that is this, according to Psalm 30:5, the Bible says “weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.” If God changes your night today, it means no more sorrow for you. Church Gist. You see, when you allow Jesus to pass by your side, according to Psalm 16:11, the Bible says “in His presence, there is the fullness of joy.”
There are some of us here who have never known what is called joy not to even talk of fullness of joy. Church Gist. There are some of us, we have joy in certain areas of our lives but in some areas of our lives, there is sorrow.
– But because you came tonight, in the name that is above every other name, anything that is not allowing your joy to be full will disappear tonight!
When Jesus passes by your side, it means you will no longer be begging; you will begin to give. It means poverty will become a stranger to you. You will remember the story in 1 Kings 17:8-6. Church Gist. There was a widow who had only one meal left but then God paid her a visit and from one meal left, she became someone who was feeding a prophet for 2 and a half years.
– I decree to somebody here today, because of tonight’s Meeting, you will soon become a stranger to poverty!
Oh, you say ‘can God perform such a miracle?’ He is the Almighty. He’s always on time. When your time comes, all you need is a single breakthrough. Some of you have heard this story before. There was this young Arab boy, he gave his life to Jesus Christ in his Islamic country and he had to run for his life. So he came to London without papers (without correct papers). Church Gist. So he couldn’t get a good job. So he got a job in a fast food restaurant and the owner there was paying him anything he wanted. Then one day, his time came. A very wealthy Arab man came to London. He wanted to buy houses but his English was not good. So whenever he sees a good house, he would go to the landlord – “me house buy” and the landlord would say get away from here. Who told you I want to sell my house?
So after going from one house to the other, he was tired and hungry and he came to the restaurant where this boy was working. He sat down and began to grumble in Arabic – “stupid people, I want to buy houses, they don’t want to even sell to me” and the boy went there to serve him and heard him speaking in Arabic. So he spoke to him in Arabic. What’s the problem sir? He said “ah, you speak my language and you speak English too? The boy said ‘yes.’ He said “I want to buy houses and I need somebody to interpret for me. Will you please help me?” Church Gist. And the boy said “no, I can’t do that because if I lose my job here, what will I be eating?” And the Arab man said “I will pay you, I will pay you very well.” The boy said ‘how much?’ He said “one million pounds per day for 3 days.” The boy said “please don’t go sir.” He went to the owner of the restaurant – “bye bye sir.” And that one said “if you go, when you come back, I won’t give you the job again.” The boy said: ‘I will never come back’.
-There is somebody here today, you are going to say: ‘Bye, bye! To poverty’. If you’re the one, shout hallelujah!
When God is passing by – When that Light (Jesus) is coming your way, you will suddenly cease to be a burden.
-And He said: ‘You will become a blessing’.
You see? When Bartimaeus was crying for help, the reason all those people were asking him to shut up is because he had always been a burden to them – Always begging for money. Church Gist. And they said: ‘You mean, you’re going to disturb the big man of God? You want to embarrass us again by begging? But God heard him when he cried and he never begged again, he was never a burden to anybody again.
-And I am decreeing to somebody here today, you will never be a burden again! You will not be a burden to your family. You will not be a burden to your Church. You will not be a burden to your nation. Church Gist. You will become a blessing! If you believe that, shout hallelujah!
You know the story in Mark 2:1-12, there was this Man who was carried by four people because he was paralyzed from (the) neck downwards. They forced their way through the roof so they can just get him to the Light of the World. As soon as Jesus saw this Boy coming down through the roof, He took compassion on him. The Boy was carried in but he walked out on his own. He was never a burden again. There was a case like that at the Redemption Camp in Nigeria. There was this Man who was completely paralyzed and his friends heard that miracles were happening at the Camp, so they carried him in. But there was a huge crowd and so by the time they arrived, the crowd was already much and miracles were already happening.
-And may I tell you: Miracles are already happening now. So don’t wait till I end, you can begin to check yourself – You’ll suddenly find (out) that certain things are already happening.
And so his friends dropped him and said: ‘So, we have brought you to the Camp. When we finish we will come back for you’. And the Man said to God, he said: ‘Oh God! You see me here, they have dropped me here. And God spoke to me and said: ‘There is someone here, who said: ‘God, You see me oo’! God asked me to tell him: ‘I’ve seen him’. Church Gist. And as soon as he heard, the power of God came on him and suddenly, he was able to stand, he was able to sing, he was able to dance. So when the program was over, his friends came to where they dropped him and they couldn’t find him on the ground. While they were looking for him, he came from behind and tapped them from behind. ‘Are you looking for me’?
-Tonight! This very night, my God will surprise somebody. By the time you’re leaving this Place, even your friends won’t recognize you.
And then, another thing that could happen when Jesus is passing by – When the Light of the World (Jesus) is passing by your way, is that any reproach in your life will end. You know? A reproach is that problem that is in your life that people will talk more before they even talk about you. Ask any Sunday School child: ‘What do you know about Bartimaeus’? They will say: ‘Oh! Blind Bartimaeus’? They are still calling him ‘blind’, more than two thousand years after he received his sight.
When people want to describe you, they look for your problem. “Ah, you know that sister who should be married by now is not yet married. Oh, you know that woman who had been married 15 years and has no child. Church Gist. Oh you know that brother who has not been promoted for the past 10 years.” That’s how they want to describe you.
– But in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, every reproach in your life will disappear tonight!
At least you know the story of Naaman. 2 Kings 5:1-14. With the “but” (of leprosy) they destroyed everything (about Naaman).
– Everything in your life that is called a reproach, my God will wipe it away!
It has happened before, that’s why I am sure it will happen tonight. We had a program at the National Stadium in Surulere and the Stadium was full and there were people outside the Stadium and there was a man right at the top of the gallery and he had a big growth – a goitre – and there was a lady sitting by him and you know if you have that kind of problem, they see the goitre before they see you. So the sister had been looking at they goitre with one corner eye. Church Gist. Then suddenly God spoke to me and said, “that there was someone in the crowd with a growth round his neck that the growth has disappeared.” The sister turned and suddenly saw that, “ah ah, the man sitting next to me, the growth has just flown away like a bird.” She was so frightened that at the end of the program, she trekked almost 10 kilometres before remembering that she parked her car at the Stadium.
– You know, a miracle is going to happen to somebody tonight that will frighten your neighbour!
Let me give you just one more thing that happened when God is passing by and that is: your stagnation comes to an end. You know Bartimaeus couldn’t move because he couldn’t see. But the moment he received his sight, he began to move. Not only was he moving physically, he was also moving metaphorically. The one who used to be the man by the road side, became the centre of attraction. Church Gist. Everybody was looking at him. I wasn’t there that day but I’m sure it wasn’t long after that that he got married because everybody wanted to be close to that man who got a major miracle.
– Your progress begins tonight! Your promotion will be accelerated!
But you have one thing to do. Revelation 3:20. God has come all the way from Nigeria to visit you, it’s up to you now to open the door to him. That’s why we said, let there be light, let the light come into your life, surrender your life to him, open the door for him and he will come in and all your problems will be over in a single day. Church Gist. 2 Corinthians 5:17. So if you have not really surrendered to Jesus, please come now. The moment you surrender your life to him, everything will change. We are not talking about going to Church, we are talking about surrendering your life completely to Jesus Christ. He knows those who are his own and he knows those who are pretending.
