Father let your Word bless us. We thank you for the past 2 days the Word that you gave to us yourself. Thank you in advance for today’s word. Church Gist. Open our hearts to receive, give us understanding that we will be able to put the Word of God to practice in Jesus’ mighty name.
LIVING IN THE SUPERNATURAL is the theme. Today is the third day. The subtopic for today is, ‘DREAM SEEDS FOR SUPERNATURAL EXPLOITS.’ Daniel 11:32.
Many know God exists but they don’t have a revelation of His person. Daniel 11:32b. You can’t know God and not be known. Hear this and hear me well: I will be taking the message from Isaiah 54:2-3. Enlarge the place of your tent; you can’t use narrow thinking for tomorrow’s manifestation. Church Gist. Break out of your cocoons of small thinking, enlarge your mind to think global and refuse to remain local. Enlarge the place of your tent is talking about supernatural elasticity of your mind. The brain has a size but the mind has no size. The mind is limitless.
- Somebody will break forth as I am talking right now.
Exploits means out of this world order of results; results that are unconventional. It is extraordinary accomplishment. When they say this man is a man of exploits, they are saying this man is getting results that are out of this world. In Isaiah 2:2-3, it says the Church will become a centre that will give light to the rest of the world. Church Gist. The world will learn from the Church the way forward. We are already in the last days. If you watch now, the whole world looks at Church people as different people. If you watch today, the only people laughing are Church people. They can’t understand why we are laughing in the midst of all the darkness. The only joyful people on EARTH today are Church people because there is so much gloominess on the Earth.
- After this day, those who thought you are down will eat on your table.
The church will become the envy of the world. They used to say, as poor as Church rat. They are even now saying, ‘don’t mind them, money money.’ Now they are saying buying airplane but they forgot that they used to abuse the Church. Church Gist. They even used the Church of Jesus to equate with a rat. Now they say, don’t mind them because the story is no longer the way they expect.
- That is how those who were mocking you, very soon they will swallow their words in the name of Jesus.
- Genesis 26:14; Galatians 4:28. Very soon from today, the world will envy you!
- Before this year is over, people that knew you will envy you!
In Genesis 12:2, He was speaking to Abraham but He was speaking to all of us. It is your dream to be a blessing that qualifies you to be blessed of God. You have to dream to be a blessing then God begins to bless you. Abraham had an invisible photograph of his many generations of children. He had a picture from Scriptures of what God told him of his future. Church Gist. In Romans 4:18, 20. If you look at Scriptures, everyone who had a miracle had a picture. The woman with the issue of blood, people just say she touched the hem of His garment. No, she had a picture before the miracle. In Mark 5:28-29, ‘For she said…’ that was the dream seed for her healing. Her mind grasped it, so she dreamt it before she moved.
- Every dream that is in line with Scripture you today begin to see will become a reality in your life!
Dream seed is the invisible photograph within you of a desired miracle or blessing you want from God. It may be health, healing, marriage, employment, name it. As long as it is in line with God’s Word and you dream it, no devil can stop it. Church Gist. Let me say this to you: do not allow challenges make you lower or rewrite your story to accommodate a tragedy or standard below your expectation. Dream what God wants you to dream. Dream only scriptural dreams.
For instance, God said you shall lend to nations and not borrow, Deuteronomy 28:13, stop because of circumstances begin to borrow up and down. See yourself to get to the position of a lender. Psalm 1:3. Church Gist. Don’t go and marry a man because you have waited for too long and marry a man far below what you want because of desperation. Dream the kind of man or wife you want. Psalm 30:5. That you are suffering today does not mean things will not change for the better. Don’t change your standard by lowering it.
- Your joy is coming! Don’t accept an Ishmael when an Isaac is coming
Have a strong desire and pursue your dreams. Psalm 37:4. Listen carefully: don’t allow any nonsense dream to affect your mind. Do you know a man that went to Heaven by the name Lazarus, desired to eat the crumbs from the rich man’s table. Church Gist. Luke 16:20-21. That was his dream and God left him there. Abraham never desired such. That’s why they never say children of Lazarus; his desire was wrong.
Please, you can start from one room but don’t desire that you will live in one room forever. Where you will use one big curtain to cross, where your children will sleep here and you and your wife will sleep on the bed. Church Gist. When you start from there, desire that you will give that room to somebody else. Mark 11:24. In your desires, always have a mental picture of what you want from God.
I take permission from my wife to share this testimony: she said the first day she saw me, she said this is the kind of man I want to marry. She said she saw me just coming to Church. And God answered her straight; I was the one that proposed to her but that was her desire. She would have said, let me marry any kind of man. God answered her that day because 2 of us, we were not even talking in class. Church Gist. One day I was just talking with people and she stood. I turned and looked at her and that was it. She didn’t say, ‘O God, since I am not tall, give me a man like me.’ Don’t allow where you are determine what you want. You decide what you want and God will grant it to you. Psalm 84:11; Psalm 34:10.
Desire is powerful, a dream seed. When God called us to ministry, I said, ‘I don’t desire Americans to give me money. I said I will give Americans money – that was my desire.’ Every preacher of Nigeria that time, our generation, they were expecting Americans to help them. One day somebody came to me and said, ‘look, they want to take us to America.’ I said I am not interested. He said if he goes to America, he will get money and come and build house in Nigeria. Church Gist. I said I am not interested; I want to give to Americans. I have worked with an American top legislator to the bank and he was at crossroads. I said, ‘well, I can’t be alive and see you suffer like this. This is my own personal 100,000 dollars, pay the Church debt, and come out of this situation.’ He used 2 hands to shake me – in their country. I gave him my money not salvation Ministries money. What do you desire?
- Whatever you desire from this day, it will become a reality in your life.
One day, I stayed like this and I said I desire to give a million Dollars – in my heart. 2012 He said, give me one million Dollars. It was my desire, He made the provision and I gave Him, and I felt good. Church Gist. That is 700 and something million Naira in one service. I had no house then, so when people talk now, they should be quiet. I gave it as an offering in one Sunday service.
Let me say this to you: relate with people who will create strong momentum towards your dream. Then, focus on the completion of one worthwhile goal at a time. Genesis 11:6. Anything you imagine, no devil can stop it as long as it is in line with the Word of God. Say I hear! Church Gist. Begin to see your children as great children. Stop seeing them as suffer-heads. Genesis 13:14-15. From you not being able to pay school fees, see yourself paying school fees for people. Miracles begin in the soil of your imagination.
For instance, Abraham carried a dream seed planted by God. What God does, He gives you the Word, plants the seed, you now begin to move the seed to where you want it to produce. Genesis 13:16; Genesis 26:4. So, your future is determined today from your dream. You have to begin before you can be accomplished. Church Gist. What you don’t dream about can never be accomplished. And what you don’t begin cannot be accomplished. Zechariah 4:10. Every great vision must begin somewhere. Many people are not able to take small to big and I will tell you why they are not able. Every big thing has to start small, and get big, and grow bigger. Every great future is characterized by small beginning.
Let me say this to you: God has given every one of us this incredible gift; that is the ability to picture within our minds something we want to happen. Every child of God has it but many don’t use it. Never see where you are, see where you want to be in life. Hebrews 12:2. In John 14:2, His mind was on resurrection not Calvary. Church Gist. He was crucified on the cross but He was after how He will rise. That is what I am talking about. You are in one room but you are seeing mansions. Heaven was always on His mind while on Earth. Matthew 6:33; John 14:2. Call it goal setting, visualization, imagination, they are all the same.
Let me give you this illustration: God created only one man, Adam, and then they became two, Adam and Eve. Today, we have billions on the Earth. Jesus only had 12, from 12 to 120 in the upper room, Peter preached message of 3,000 and 5,000, but today, we are billions of people. So, you don’t do nothing only because you are doing little. The little you are doing can make the difference, so start off from where you are. Job 8:7. Church Gist. God called me, my wife joined me, 20 something persons came for the first service, but today we are millions all over the world, and still growing. Don’t despise that small thing. The small orange seed has an orange tree, the orange tree has orange fruits, and orange fruits have orange forest. That is how life goes. Despising the seed is despising the whole plantation of oranges. People without dream despise small thing.
Jesus gave a parable in Matthew 25:14-30, the one given one talent despised it. Few will never become much on its own but when you do something about it, small does not become big automatically. You must give the small a skilled approach. The question is: What must I do to make the small to become big? Don’t tell me you don’t have money. Our income of this Church was 7,000, April, 1997. Church Gist. It was even less than 7,000, we had to approximate it. The tithe was 700 Naira. There was a Church then, they will come to tell us that they were able to raise 100,000. I will be laughing because if 7,000 was monthly offering, you can imagine Sunday offering. My first salary in this ministry was 1,000 plus, 1997. My last salary was 15,000. So how do I take the small to become big?
If you know what to do at the beginning, thy later end shall greatly increase. Church Gist. If you don’t know what to do with the small beginning, it will die small. You can start small, dream big, and grow bigger. Ecclesiastes 10:5-7, 10, 15-18.
If you don’t have wisdom, you will not know what to do with what you have. But when wisdom is in place you will be able to take the small and make it big. Church Gist. There are people who work very hard with nothing to show. The missing tool is wisdom.
Verse 16: like some nations where you put leaders who have nothing in their head. Some nations are having that problem; true? Some of you want to repeat the problem again. You are seeing that this person cannot perform yet you are seeing he is in our party. Party nonsense! I’ve told you: don’t vote party this time, vote personality. If you vote party the way you will suffer, me I will tell you, I won’t suffer with you. Church Gist. I know too much that I cannot suffer but you will know I am a man of God, try to make mistake, Naira will tumble to 5,000. If you don’t want Naira to tumble to 5,000 better tell yourself what to do. Woe to you when you vote people who have nothing in their head. I don’t belong to any party; I don’t have any party card. I have kingdom card. I have registration card (don’t misquote me) but I don’t belong to any party. I belong to kingdom party but when I want to vote, I know who to vote.
Nigerians if you vote party this time, we will fold our hands and be watching you people. All the things you are suffering am I suffering with you? I am too connected by covenant to suffer what people are suffering. Ecclesiastes 10:16. That means any leader who they will be using diapers is sickness. Church Gist. It is in Bible, I am not the one who said it. They use diapers for children so if you have a leader who they use diapers, woe to you. Except you want to argue with the Bible. Everything is in the Bible. If you look at everything we read, I am going to bring 4 things from those Scriptures.
Listen to me people of God: you don’t find yourself where you want by wishing. If I want to take small to be big, there are things I need to do for exploits. Anybody in the body of Christ can be great if you follow the things I want to talk about. Church Gist. The sky is too big; God has space for every one of us. No star overshadows the other. Every child of God has a place in the kingdom of God if you do what I am about to say to you.
WHAT TO DO TO TAKE THE SMALL TO BECOME BIG
1) Apply divine wisdom: Ecclesiastes 10:10. You need divine wisdom to actualize your dreams on the Earth. Proverbs 4:7. Wisdom is the principal factor for turning small to big. Church Gist. Divine wisdom is the baseline for growth and expansion. Wisdom is the true use of knowledge. James 1:5. Wisdom is your ability to know differences.
For instance, hair is important but not as important as your blood. I can decide to remove all my hair and it means nothing but I can’t remove all my blood and survive. Church Gist. So, everything has different values. Wisdom is the ability to know what you value. To disregard wisdom is to settle for frustration and mediocrity. Matthew 7:24-25.
For instance, employing staff or labour you cannot pay is lack of wisdom. Living above your income is lack of wisdom. Between your business and your pleasure which should come first? For the first 9 years of this ministry I did not travel. Church Gist. I wanted the income to grow. If I travel everyday today, this ministry will not be affected. In wisdom you also follow divine guidance. Ecclesiastes 10:10. Do you know divine guidance guarantees prosperity? Isaiah 58:11.
- Somebody will leave the dry season.
Every instruction of Scripture is a device of God to bring you enlargement. Honesty is the first chapter of wisdom. All crises are traceable to lack of wisdom. I was earning 1,500; with my family and everything I never borrowed because I knew what to do. Church Gist. We have never lived alone since we got married; it has always been with crowd. And we are not using Church money to feed; we are feeding with our money. - Today, be baptised with fresh wisdom!
2) Discipline: no life can be distinguished without discipline. Let me say this to you: acquire all the knowledge, without discipline you will not succeed. Church Gist. Have a sense of mission in pursuing your task. Be a law to yourself as to accomplish your goals.
When this ministry started, I go to office, nobody was supervising me. I am the President, General Overseer, Founding Pastor, name them. It was me and my wife, nobody can shout at me. My wife will tell you: I never went to the office a minute past 8. By 7:30, I am dressed with my tie. I will sit on my seat, no fan, do morning devotion, she will join me, and we do devotion together. I was a law to myself. Church Gist. She was my first P.A. (Personal Assistant) but you know, your wife to be your P.A., you know what is inside – P. A. that you can’t shout anyhow. She was the first sanctuary keeper; I was the first technical officer. We wake up in the morning, she will clean the whole Church, I will mount the equipment, put speaker, put the cassette, before I preach I will press pause, when I finish I will edit the tape and make sure before they come for next service, the tape is ready. I didn’t get here by luck.
Many live a prodigal lifestyle. You cannot be a waster today and not be a beggar tomorrow. Set order in your life. If you do any job without supervision in your office I can tell you, your growth will be very fast. 1 Corinthians 6:12. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27. Please discipline yourself; discipline your conversation, your reading habits, your prayer life, your study life. Church Gist. 2 Timothy 2:15. Discipline your friendships – it is better to be alone than to have friends that will destroy you. Select friends as you select the food you eat. Any relationship not adding value is destructive. Discipline your music and programs you watch.
I have deep revelation of music. You can’t play nonsense music where I am. Music has 2 things it attracts. Any music you play has a spirit behind the music. If you play a worship, immediately Holy Ghost starts manifesting. If you doubt it you will know that I have deep revelation of music, play any music that you call blues. Immediately, spirit of whoredom will come upon you. Church Gist. The spirit of immorality will overshadow you; everything in you will be saying, ‘who do I hold now to sleep with?’ The devil will manifest through the music because he was in Heaven, he understood what music does. That is why if they want to invoke demons in the village, they play drum. Check anywhere demons want to come, first thing they do is to play music, and they play drums. Music rises either with the Spirit of God or the spirit of evil.
When you say you have listened to Michael Jackson, and like it, it’s not fun; that Michael Jackson can Jackson you.
Life story: as a young man I was watching a program I will never forget, it was mermaid spirit – Flash. In the night, in my dream, it reflected. They were showing where they were shooting, I saw somebody try to fire me with gun. Church Gist. My spirit man picked the news in my sleep because the spirit picks anything that is going on in the atmosphere. The television was on and I slept. And I woke up like an attack and the news that time, they were showing where they were shooting people.
Discipline your spiritual life by constant fellowship. Discipline your time. Time investors always end up as stars on the Earth. Ephesians 5:16. Discipline your thoughts. Until your mind is renewed, your life cannot be transformed. Church Gist. Stop thinking poverty, failure and sickness. Proverbs 23:7. Stop thinking negative things Proverbs 10:22 – “How can I, a tomato seller, become rich?” it is against Scriptures. Joseph never thought anyhow; so from prison he ended in the palace.
- You will end there!
Thought is very powerful, it shapens your destiny of the future. Proverbs 18:21. But the tongue cannot speak what the mind has not thought Matthew 12:34. It is what is in you that your mouth keeps saying. Your thoughts determine your words. Numbers 13:30-33. People see you the way you see yourself. You can’t have grasshopper’s mentality and stop hopping. Church Gist. Discipline your thoughts, your words, and your actions. Start thinking Scriptural disciplined thoughts. Proverbs 4:23. Every time thoughts that contradicts God’s Word is coming to you, don’t allow it settle in your mind; say, ‘blood of Jesus!’ 2 Corinthians 10:5. No life can grow until it is focused, dedicated and disciplined. To be disciplined is to be distinguished. So, discipline every aspect of your life.
Discipline even your taste, what you wear, the way you spend money. People who take money from me spend more than me that have the money. When I see them I say, ‘excuse me, I discipline myself and don’t spend money anyhow.’ Church Gist. Do you know people who collect money from you spend more than you? They will buy phone that you will be afraid to use.
Long ago somebody came to me in the office, he was asking me for small money and the phone he was using that time was Nokia. He was holding this flip Nokia and me that time, I was using one tired Samsung like that. Church Gist. The money he was asking me, I looked at his phone and said, ‘Bros, your phone can’t you sell it and collect the money?’
3) Diligence: high flyers are smart workers. Proverbs 22:29. The moment you start working, things will start working in your life. Let me say this to you: you can only be influenced by others; you are the principal architect of your destiny. Oyedepo influenced me but he cannot do my work for me. Church Gist. Even if they lay hands on you, you will still accept responsibility. People will assess you by your results not by your title. Dignity is an offspring of diligence. Go and work without supervision, you will rise in any office. Proverbs 13:11. Anything you don’t work for will not last in your hand. Get excited at working and poverty will leave you alone.
You say, ‘no work,’ that is the trick of people who are lazy. It is a lie, there is work. You are only selective because of pride. Stop wishing and start working or you become a washout. Do you know slothfulness or laziness is a killer of mental excellence? Church Gist. The moment somebody is not working, your thinking level will come down. Work is powerful; it occupies your mind. Ecclesiastes 10:18. Diligence is the essence of duty.
A man that is not working is worthless. Ephesians 5:16. Time investment is living. You become wealthy by working. Successful people are busy people; they are always moving towards their goals. I was studying the book of Genesis 26:15-22, they opposed Isaac left and right. Church Gist. The more they were doing, the more he waxed strong. Your opposers will soon be tired if you remain tireless. They opposed me, I was shifting forward; everybody is tired now.
There is too much laziness in our society today; waiting for free money. Young ladies are lazy, young men are lazy, doing nothing. There is no respect in cheap money; it cheapens destiny. Philippians 2:12. People are so idle expecting people to give them free money. Even young men now are very idle; they are waiting for young ladies to give them money. You are the most useless young man on Earth. Church Gist. You are a disgrace. So a full fledged young man will sit down and a woman will be giving you 40,000, 50,000 every month? Is that how you will live your life? You have no dream. Let me say this to you: woman money, they no dey chop am. Even your wife who is a woman, when she has money she will say, my money. When it comes to the husband’s money it becomes our money. If you borrow money from your wife she will say, “My husband when will you give me my money?” When she takes from you she will say, “You know say na our money.”
So for a man to now say he will depend on a woman, (exclaims). And these days, young boys do nothing. They look for married women who are rich and worry them up and down to serve them, O God! That young man, you are an Ogbe! You have no dream. Won’t you marry your own? You are a young man, you are already getting matured, go and marry your own wife. Why will you look for another man’s wife who will be feeding you? Are you serious? If you are in this Church, work! Church Gist. Do you know men respect every woman that works? Can any man on this Earth insult Okonjo Iweala? Who are you? When women want to learn, look at the other women who work. Draw inspiration from women who are working. You know Nigeria, till we change our attitude, we will never be rich; until we begin to work. The economy of Nigeria is not growing because we don’t have money but because people don’t work; they just eat money. So there is no way economy will grow.
Now, you want to vote people who have not been working. Last time you said now, change government. I asked a journalist, I think you have changed now? You want change, the change you want they have given you the change now. He said, Papa we no know now. He was among those who campaigned against Jonathan. I said, take your time oo, I am a man of God. Jonathan will be better than the worst ones you want to bring. Church Gist. He said, ‘no! Jonathan must go!’ I said he will go; bring the one you want to bring, we go see am. All the people who said the government is good, they no dey talk again. You know there is a way something will fail and you won’t know where to start from. I am watching all of them who are talking, none of them is talking. Now you want to go for another election. Only God will help us. But if you get sense, make your sense work now. I know you have sense, use your sense well.
4) Accountability: you must keep proper account. Never compromise your values. In Matthew 25:14-15, 20-21, they gave account. Church Gist. You can’t run that organisation as a private entity and it becomes a corporation. Yes, it is a private business but keep records. Put in place a workable accounting system.
From the day this Church started, we have record of everything we bought. I will go to transport, it is recorded. The rich, the educated, the illiterate must be accountable. Your approach today will determine your destination tomorrow. Church Gist. Be accountable. Even money given to you, account for it. That way, you grow from one level to another. Many don’t like accountability so, they don’t grow.
My wife, I know how much I give her for feeding. There was a time I was to give her money, she said, no, don’t give me; the money you gave me, I have some change left. It will still serve us for the next month. Church Gist. But there are women, who the money is never enough. If you want money from your husband, tell him to give you. But be accountable for the one he gave you. It is against Scriptures not to be accountable even to yourself.
These 4 things, obedience is doing what God asks you to do regardless of how you feel. Start from where you are now and apply these principles for supernatural encounters. Apply faith to make it a reality because without faith, nothing can be accomplished. Church Gist. Hebrews 11:6. We don’t get to the top by chance. Many of us think it is the devil. Did you see the devil in the 4 things I talked about?
