Next to Salvation, the most valuable asset of this journey is revelation. John 3:16. The same word says in Hosea 4:6, they are already my people but what happens to the unsaved is happening to them for lack of knowledge. Church Gist. Fasting and prayer provides that covenant platform for outbreak of light. So it is like confirmation of our salvation. Now you’re saved, you’re free from eternal death; now light has come you are free from physical destruction, devastation and loss of control. So we need a sense of value for revelation. Daniel 11:32. Church Gist. When your light comes, your light shines, the glory of God comes in place of shame and reproach, little one becomes a thousand, a small one a strong nation – transformations (Isaiah 60:22)
- Ask God for a renewed sense of value for revelation.
Jesus thank you again for keeping us in your love till date in this fast, for continuous renewal of strength. Receive our thanks. Church Gist. For answer to our prayers, access to light, thank you. Speak to us again tonight in Jesus name.
The people I have been privileged to walk around, who are giants without questions, (so it’s a privilege for me to have access to them mostly by divine orchestration not by any arrangement of man) I have found out they are all men and women with a sense of value for revelation. Church Gist. They are studious. They are people that are ever hungry for more of God. So they rose like a roaring sea and took their generation by storm. Those great men began their journey as individuals. They were well equipped individuals not just through education in school. They were committed to personal discoveries as a lifestyle.
I remember when T. L. Osborn’s wife went to heaven. She loved swimming so they had a swimming pool in the house. He filled the swimming pool, expanded his library and from his bedroom he looks at his library. He sees what books are there. You read them, you will be wondering where are they coming from? Church Gist. They are coming from a sense of value for revelation. Highly studious people. So if you go back to Daniel, (Daniel 9:2) so the wisdom is not just floating from the air, he understood by books. You get down to Paul the Apostle in 2 Timothy 4:13, they were life long students. Romans 11:33.
No lazy believer can secure a glorious future. Time in prayer – yes, time in the Word to expand knowledge and increase wisdom – yes. Church Gist. There cannot be exploits without knowledge. It is revelation that begets a revolution – a forceful turnaround.
The live wire that is Prayer and fasting is the live wire of every growing Church. That is our exhortation line. The reason is simple: Church growth is warfare and this war is won on the altar of prayer and fasting. Church Gist. It takes a combined forces of faith, prayer and fasting to conquer the gates of hell that are out against God’s Church growth. So it’s warfare! Matthew 17:19-21. Church growth is warfare as Jesus said, “I will build my Church, the gates of hell will stand up against it but will not prevail.” Matthew 16:18. So it’s warfare. Luke 11:21-22; 1 John 5:4; Matthew 17:22. Church Gist. So there can be no healthy Church growth under the sun where these 3 forces are not at work. How much they are at work will determine how great the growth will be.
Now let’s draw the line: Matthew 28:18-19 but it said in Deuteronomy 2:24. “He won’t let you go for free, no, it used to be his land and I’ve given it to you and he’s not dead, he will stand to resist it. Contend with him in battle”. Church Gist. It’s that contention is where we fail. Those thinking that grammar grow a Church, “oh yes, I was in Alaska, I was in Los Angeles and I left Los Angeles and I went to St. Springs, then I went to Canada. I was in about 19 countries and it’s quite amazing. Thank you God. Amen. Lift your hand shout Yeah” Satan says, “keep shouting, I will show you something”. You better brace up. Church Gist. Your inheritance is being contended in case you’re not aware. Someone would say, “it’s Church they’re contending”, your inheritance is being contended, that’s why the things that belong to you are not in your hands yet and you’re not aware that there’s a battle. Satan was contending for the body of Moses, Heaven had to rise up for that occasion. There’s a contention going on over your life and my life. Church Gist. So what fasting and prayer when it’s coupled with faith does is to guarantee our victory in spite of the battles.
Please know, that although He has won the war on the cross, the one, the god of this world is contending with our possessing it and we are to rise up to that occasion. Church Gist. That’s where prayer and fasting comes in. Our people in America in those days went to South Korea to learn the principles of Church growth. They didn’t learn the power, they went to learn the principles, so they came and began to develop modules of those principles. It won’t grow. Power from the altar of prayer and fasting. Some are copying your Church now to grow their Church but it’s not growing. Church Gist. Why? They have not copied the power element. They have not copied the price to be paid. They have not copied the fight to engage in.
Prayer and fasting remains the life wire of the Church. 2 Corinthians 4:4. So, he’s (the devil) is blindfolding people against access to the light of the glorious Gospel so as to block their access to the Kingdom and that blindfold had to be dealt with on the altar of prayer and fasting. Church Gist. You know why the battle is so intense? The growth and expansion of the Church is the greatest headache of the devil. Why not? Light remains the greatest enemy of darkness because wherever light is shining, darkness is helpless and helplessly helpless. John 1:5. Church Gist. The Church is the beacon of Light to the world, so the growth of the Church is a threat to the Kingdom of darkness. That’s the reason for the contention. If we don’t understand this, we will just get tired after praying for a while, “I think we’ve done enough, we’ve tied up the devil” he doesn’t agree. Jesus came back from the mountain of temptation, He said Satan departed from him for a season. He (the devil) said, “no, I’ve lost the round but I’m coming back. I vow to come back, I’m a stubborn goat”. Church Gist. So, there’s a comeback devil, that’s why we must stay and stand strong on the altar of prayer. “He that overcometh shall receive a crown”
- you will receive your crown.
The labour room of prayer is the birthplace of multitudes into the Kingdom. Isaiah 66:7-8. No Church ever grows behind the labour room of prayer. Ezekiel 36:37. Church Gist. Psalm 2:8. No Church grows by chance. You can’t wake up in the morning and “I just discovered that I gave birth”, no, you can’t give birth like that. There’s a travail before the birth. “Praise God oh, I just woke up and saw 2 children by my side” “Everybody, praise God for me oh, I saw 6 children like that as I woke up. I was just trying to go and brush my teeth, then I saw the children. I just thank God. Everybody, thank God”. No, no, there’s a labour room experience before a birth. Church Gist. Whether male born or female born or triplet born, there’s a travail. No matter how anointed you are as a woman, you will travail. If we understand these things, it’s easier for us. Galatians 4:19. Pregnancy is not for 6 months only. After pregnancy, there’s another labour that follows; the labour of night watch and day watch. If your baby cries and you don’t answer, he will say, “I’m going oh”.
Natural things explain so much of Spiritual facts. No Church can grow behind the labour room of prayers and fasting. Acts 6:4,7. It’s a combination of the ministry of the Word and prayers. Church Gist. By prayer, we gain access to more revelation. By revelation, people gather to receive. As long as we keep our hands lifted up in prayers after the order of Moses in the wilderness, our soul-winning efforts shall continue to take territories for Christ. Genesis 17:12. Our hands must be up in prayers. Lifting up Holy hands in every place, praying. Church Gist. For our soul-winning efforts to have meaning, prayer must first go up to destroy their captors and then we just harvest them on the field.

1 Timothy 2:8. Just like Moses had to lift up his hands, when his hands were heavy, they had to support because when that hand goes down, the battle is lost. So, prayer and fasting is what keeps us winning the war in the field.

We are in the winning team of Christ, we are winning. Church Gist. We are going to see four times the size of this Church like a dream of the night as we take our strong position on the altar of prayer. We are going to see it, live, in the name of Jesus.
Prayer and fasting is the only way to destroy all the forces resisting the continuous growth of the Church. 1 Corinthians 16:9. Church Gist. There are many adversaries, they are all in the realm of the unseen but they are as real as what you can touch. We had a very interesting testimony, one cultist got arrested by the power of God. They were sent to Kaduna, according to his testimony to scatter Churches. So, they came to our Church and according to him, the place was covered with a thick canopy of thorns, they couldn’t penetrate. Church Gist. So, they went back to restrategize, they said, ‘catch the man. When you strike the shepherd, the sheep will scatter’, they also were quoting scriptures. So, according to him, they came to our Church to catch the man and they suddenly discovered that the man was in the sky, they couldn’t locate him. Church Gist. He hands down, got to Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship, gave his life to Christ and shared his testimony.
You need to be there not to be blown away by the devil. You need to be there. He’s blowing off people today.
Simon, Simon, Satan is looking for you, he wants to blow you off your feet. He’s looking for people to throw off, he’s looking for churches to blow off. Church Gist. Thank God for grace that has sustained the revival here over the years.
There’s a massive revival going on here. We are inside so we don’t know much of what is going on, but you’ll find church receiving new souls every time. Church Gist. People out there in the Believer’s Foundation everyday, what’s the matter, what going on there? Because Jesus is there and Satan has no inroad. Let’s brace up! Prayer and fasting is the way forward, both as a church and as individuals. Don’t let the devil take you for a mate. Don’t let the devil make you a prey.
Prayer and fasting enrobes us with power and light and darkness can’t play around with light. It will lose its identity on the spot. You can’t say no to power and authority, you have to bow to it when it’s from a higher realm. Church Gist. That’s what you connect with on the altar of prayer and fasting. So let’s brace up!
How long will this be? Forever! We will stop praying when we get to heaven and there won’t be anything to pray for again. Praise God. “Thy kingdom come”, Thy kingdom has now come. “Give us today our daily bread”, they don’t eat there. “Deliver us from temptation”, temptation has delivered itself from you, can’t find you again. This is the time to secure that grand view to eternity!
Lift up your hand, give God thanks for light, prayer and fasting remains the live wire of every growing church. Every growing church is a praying church. Church Gist. And every growing church must remain a praying church to keep growing, no end to it. Until satan is bound with chains in the last days and cast into the abyss, the battle continues. Thank you God for giving us victory in the battle till date. Take all the praise in Jesus Precious name we pray.
Will you please pray: Deliver me from dominion by my belly. How many people want to pray that prayer? He said Their god is their belly. Deliver me from the dominion of my belly. I don’t want to sell my birthright for a morsel of meat. Go ahead and pray. I refuse to sell my birthright for a morsel of meat. Now speak to your belly: Behave! I bring you into subjection to Christ, to the word of light. Behave, behave, be whole! I surrender my life to the Lordship of Christ and you are part of my being, so I surrender you to the lordship of Christ. Belly, behave! Church Gist. You must not rob me of my birthright in Christ. Thank you Jesus for my rescue in Jesus name.
ALTAR CALL
Jesus got it through to the end. He said It is finished. Paul got it through to the end, he said I have finished my course. Church Gist. Grace to press this battle to the gate, grant to everyone of us! Let none of us drop by the wayside! Let this year be a year of our entrenchment into Your will as our new way of life. Let it be, Lord in the name of Jesus!
I pray that this awakening will not stop with this prayer and fasting season but the fire will keep burning hotter and hotter by the day! And so shall it be in Jesus name!
Jesus said As the Living Father has sent me and I live by the Father so he that eateth me will live like me. As we partake of this communion tonight, empower and engrace to us to live like you, in words, in thoughts and in acts. Church Gist. To pray like you, pray to realms of transfiguration in the name of Jesus. Pray into realms of mighty power in the name of Jesus. Be passionate like you in pursuit after the lost. Lord empower us to live like you in all realms and the life of the flesh is in the blood. Church Gist. We receive this cup as your blood, let your lifestyle become our lifestyle in the name of Jesus Christ! Whatever cannot be traceable in you must not be found in us anymore. You didn’t carry any disease or sickness, so as we partake of this communion tonight, every disease is rooted out! Every depression is rooted out! Every fear is out! Every pain, every ache is off! Whatever cannot be found in you, from tonight shall not be found in us! So shall it be!
We receive this as your flesh and this cup as your blood. As we partake of it by faith, manifest yourself to each one of us! Thank you Lord!
