Thank Him for answers to prayers, for diverse encounters with light from His Word that you have received. Give Him thanks and glory and praise. Church Gist. Thank Him for a new beginning in your spiritual life. Thank Him for amazing open doors that await you as a result of this engagement.
Ask him to speak to you tonight. He sent a word to Jacob and it turned his life around. Thank you Jesus.
One of the reasons we need the help of the Holy Spirit is that most of the times we pray but we don’t even know what to pray. Church Gist. We know what is wrong but we don’t know where it is wronging from. Romans 8:26-27.
- Whatever remains as your portion in this prayer and fasting time, (this is the third day of the 6th module) Lord reveal to me wherever the issues are hiding that may be responsible for where I find myself. Holy Spirit I need your help.
Mary came praying to Jesus. He said you don’t know what you’re asking. Many times we are just praying we don’t know what we are saying. It’s not relevant to what we need but we are praying it anyway. Church Gist. After a long time you say, “I’m tired.” You’re not using the right key? You will be tired no matter how long you stay by the door without the right key. Kingdom Advancement Prayer opened the grave of that family that was jobless for 3 years. (Referring to documented testimony) Within one week of intense engagement – the 2 of them not one of them. Church Gist. Miracle jobs! New dawn by knowing what to pray and praying it.
That my son came from Port Harcourt (referring to live testimony). He said his prayer changed when he got here. Then Jesus appeared to him and said, “Enough!”
Now watch this is the implication of that Testimony: as your grave opens up and you come out, your enemies will be buried there. They will never come out of it!
He said in that trance, “leave it there; that’s not mine.” And glaucoma disappeared.
- Everything pursuing after your soul to hurt you will be buried in that grave!
You know we don’t need to just hear testimonies; we must understand them. Psalm 119:144. Church Gist. The good news is: as every one’s grave opens up by that Prophetic word, it will close up on your enemies. You will come out if it, your enemies will be buried there in. Thank you Jesus!
Our line of exhortation is, “PRAYER AND FASTING – THE LIVE WIRE OF EVERY GROWING CHURCH.” No Church grows without an effectual prayer platform. No Church can keep growing without maintaining that platform. Church Gist. Every praying Church is a growing Church and every growing Church must remain a praying Church to keep growing. Prayer is a covenant platform that guarantees noiseless breakthroughs in Church growth. Isaiah 66:7. Just like I said earlier, can a woman just wake up and find a set of twins by her side? And say, ‘I just woke up and I discovered I have delivered’? Isaiah 66:8. Church Gist. The labour room of prayer is a non-negotiable process for birthing supernatural Church growth. No amount of grammar, phonetics, exposure, experience will be a substitute. Every growing Church that stops praying will stop growing; and you’re either going up or coming down. You can’t be neutral. No one gives birth to a child without passing through the labour room. Church Gist. No Church experiences healthy growth without passing through the birth place of the labour room of prayer.
You can have visitors who come, “hello, just to say hi, we heard of this Church and we just came to see how you’re doing.” You may count them but they are not members. Church Gist. They just came on tour. So they stay about 3 weeks to censor what you’re doing and walk away because they need to visit many Churches before the year ends.
No substitute! Noiseless Church growth is a function of an effectual labour room of prayer. It’s also important for us to know that divine guidance is a vital factor in experiencing supernatural Church growth. Church Gist. This is accessible also through the altar of prayer and fasting. He guides the way to go and he leads on how to get going.
Prayer and Fasting enhances access to Divine guidance that provokes Supernatural Church growth. Jonah blew up the whole of Nineveh – a city that demands 3 days of trek; not a mean city. Jonah 1:2. Church Gist. “Get down to Nineveh and preach to her the preaching that I bid there”.
The greatest revival in the Bible you see was recorded there where animals and livestock were involved and everybody fasted. Church Gist. As greedy as the chickens were, they fasted- You know that chickens eat every moment, they don’t drop the food, they are never satisfied as they can be eating and shiting at the same time- The appetite was suspended at the preaching of Jonah that routed the whole city in three days by Divine guidance.
Guess work can be stressful! ‘But they thirsteth not when He led them through the desert- He brought forth water for them out of the rocks, He claved the rocks also and water gushed out’ Isaiah 48:21. No Church suffers dry seasons while following Divine guidance! Isaiah 58:11 is one of the outcomes of fasting- The Lord shall guide thee continually… Church Gist. Divine guidance is an asset of destiny not just for the Church but for us as individuals. For I am the Lord that leadeth in the way that you should go, I am the Lord that teacheth thee to profit Isaiah 48:17.
So profitable adventure in the Kingdom requires Divine guidance. The Lord. The Lord is my guide! My Shepherd! So I shall not want! He will make me lie down on green pastures Psalms 23:2 and 6. As I follow His guidance, His Presence is domicile with me. His Presence is the cheapest cure for fear Psalms 23:4. Church Gist. You can’t carry His Presence and be fearful at the same time. His Presence allays all fear and His guidance is what secures His Presence.
Now, let’s reflect a bit on what Divine guidance has done for us as a Commission. In 1984, I was in prayer and fasting with three of our co-workers asking one question, “Why is this Church not growing?” We prayed about this in a fast oo not with a bowl of garri. We continued the second day asking the same question!- “Jesus what are you saying? Where are we missing it? Church Gist. What steps are we not taking? Show up Jesus! Lead the way forward!” On the third day, the Heavens came down and gave four instructions that we call today, “Our Church growth mandate”.
That guidance received in three days brought us to where we are today! Don’t eat your destiny away! Don’t live with confusion! ‘I will instruct thee’! So God is committed. Church Gist. ‘I will lead there in the way thou shouldest go, I will guide you with My eyes’! So go ahead and secure His guidance for a sweatless adventure. In the course of the prayer He said, ‘Stand up’!
God loves to guide us! He said to me on 1st October 1983, ‘I’m committed to leading you if you are committed to following Me’. You know the reason why He is not leading us? We are not committed! Church Gist. We have already determined where we are going, the way we are going to do it! We are just informing God saying, ‘Hello God! This and this are the agenda, stamp it’! I know that you have stamped it, Amen! Well done! You are the applicant and you are the one approving the application!
You are the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Managing Director (MD) and Chairman. Let Him lead you and you will just enjoy the flight! No struggles, you get on the eagle’s wings and He bears you up far above the storms! Great God! That was in March 1984 and the Church picked up from there with about twenty four people and then growth!- Church Gist. Heavy Words as revealed by the Lord, back-to-back seminars every weekend and by July we were ninety in number. He said, ‘Eh! Is that exponential Church growth? You don’t know the meaning! A Church can be fifty for ten years and for twenty years! So the door began to open!
In the second year, we jumped to five hundred people and now we are where we are! Come on give the Lord Praise! The Lord shall guide thee continually through the platform of prayer and fasting! Ezra led the people in a fast- He proclaimed a three day fast Ezra 8:21-28. Jehoshaphat proclaimed a fast all through Judah and what was it? He said, ‘We have no power or might against this great army that came against us neither know we what to do, our eyes are now on You to locate which way out’! And then, a Prophetic Word came, you shall not need to fight in this battle 2 Chronicles 20:17. Church Gist. And God said, “Set yourself in praise and watch me in action!” What a solution! They sang in the warfront and won the war without shooting an arrow 2 Chronicles 20:11-12, 2 Chronicles 20:14-17 and 2 Chrinicles 20:22-24. They won the battle through Divine guidance without shooting an arrow!
Now, come back to Church! January in the course of the fast in 2019, ‘You are planting five thousand Churches this year’. It was January in the course of the fast. That cannot be programmed, that cannot be planned, it’s far beyond projections. And we began to watch and we saw Him plant it- Five thousand and eighty two Churches within the year. Don’t mind us, we had already finished the budget for the year in terms of planning and budgeting by November of the previous year so it was not part of the budget. Church Gist. Okay! Then January came in 2020, and we had already convinced ourselves that we are not doing any Church planting this coming year that we are going to be doing Church establishment. We are planting ten thousand Churches this year, it also came during fasting and prayer!
-Things that you never imagine in your life, when you release yourself to God, He guides you into it!
And then again in January 2021, He doubled the number of Cell Fellowships in every Church this year! No exemption! We were around twenty thousand Home Cells here in Lagos State, He doubled them by giving us twenty one thousand Home Cells in one year above all we knew in 27 years of Cell Ministry. Church Gist. Then came January 2022, can you see that they are so recent! ‘You are entering into seventy five new nations this year’. Thank you Jesus! I never planned it! I never projected that, it’s never normal! It’s not scientific! It’s not sound! You saw what He did, He opened the door to eighty three new nations in one year. Come on, give the Lord praise!
Now! Come down to you, ask God for guidance! All these trial and error can be very frustrating and stressful, ask God for Divine guidance! I have in my fingertips now what the year is up to, I’ll be unveiling that tomorrow night. Church Gist. One of the vital returns on prayer and fasting is access to Divine guidance. No guesswork here, that’s why things are working. Somebody once asked me, ‘How do you get things done so cheaply?’ We do nothing except He has commanded! No guesswork! Zero guesswork!
-May guesswork end in your life today!
Don’t just see the visa and start jumping like somebody without a bearing. Ask God what are you saying. Not every open door is God’s door; many are traps in disguise. I would have lost destiny in the United States! No! Let me pray about it! This place needs you, let me pray about it! No! Capital No! Church Gist. I would have been lost out in Japan, He said although there is a need in Japan you are not the one that I am sending! Thank you Sir. That they need a hospital in your town do you go and start one when you are not a doctor? No! Not every open door is God’s door, many are traps in disguise! So stop leaning on your own understanding! Stop!
There are some ordained to be the President of their nations but they are crying for daily bread in another nation. Some of them are to be celebrated as employers of labour, but they are jumping from one office to another working three jobs in a day like they are under the bondage of Egypt they won’t let God lead them! Church Gist. And they are too proud to receive corrections.
One thing that I’m sure of forever, as I am standing before you, I am in the centre of the centre of the will of God for my life. That is one thing I am sure of, you can’t take it away from me. I am in the centre of the centre of the will of God for my life. May you get on that frequency this time. The next three days remaining seek clarity of divine guidance. Experience is not a substitute, seek it. That is our journey in church growth and expansion. It all came through divine guidance. We were set for the Ark Project, God was not set. I said, “Lord we are set”. Church Gist. He said “who are you to tell me if you are set. Do you know my set time?” I said to God again the following year “we are set”. Then He said to me “speak no more to me on this matter until I speak to you if I need to”. I never mentioned a word. That was in 2016. He only spoke in 2021 and there He was without stress. Don’t carry what you can not carry. Allow God to carry it by letting Him lead you.
Now, what else should we pray for? For the day of vengeance. Isaiah 63:4. God is so full of mercy, He will never render vengeance without a demand. God will never render vengeance in the camp of our enemies without our demanding for it. How much more will God avenge His own elect who call upon Him night and day for vengeance? He will avenge them speedily. Luke 18:7-8. You have to cry for vengeance before it answers. He is too merciful, God won’t render vengeance on His own. Church Gist. You have to cry to Him “Enough! Enough! God of Vengeance show yourself”. That the Church has lost out on it. Love your enemies is what they understand. More often than not, until vengeance shows up, your enemy will never give up. God said I will send one more plague upon Egypt and upon Pharaoh and after that, he will let you go. You never go. The Church was never born with vengeance. There was a cry in the land of Egypt as never heard before. Every house was visited by vengeance. They called them that self same night “Go! Go! Go!”. Then the Church in the wilderness was born. T
The latter rain of Isaiah 61:1-2 began with the day of vengeance of our God to comfort all that mourn. Isaiah 61:1-2. Until vengeance shows up, more often than not destiny never opens up. Destiny never opens up. Matthew 16:18. If there are resistances, what do you do? Invoke the vengeance of God seeing that it is righteousness with God to recompense tribulation to them that troubles you. It is a righteous thing with God. Church Gist. When we demand for it, He plagues them with tribulations so as to carry through His plan in our lives. 2 Thessalonians 1:6. Isaiah 54:14-17. So we rise to condemn whatever won’t let the Church go forward. You better know how to pray that prayer or you will be roaming about in one spot.
Now back to you, whatever mocks your destiny is entitled to a curse. Elisha went out and 42 children, children not adults began to mock him. 2 Kings 2:23-24. Whatever mocks your destiny must go down for you by crying out “enough is enough. Wherever this arrow is coming back from. I command it returned back to sender”. Whosoever won’t let me go must go down for me. That is the kind of prayer I pray. No agent of the devil can play around with me. When you hear me say except I am not sent, I know what I am talking about. Church Gist. You better wake up out of your religious slumber, come to the reality of life in the kingdom. Jesus went to a fig tree looking for fruits and found none, he cursed the tree. Mark 11:13-14, 20-21. He cursed it openly. God delivered it. It dried up from the root. Whatever mocks your destiny- “let me see how your children will go forward”, they will go down for you.
Do you want to hear this? God curses. Genesis 12:4. Are you holier than God? Jesus curses. Mark 11:20. He didn’t stop there. He said “Woe unto you Scribes”. You think “woe” is a blessing? If you don’t leave here securing vengeance in the camp of your enemy, you may never see the way forward. In the same vein, every enemy of the Church of God in Nigeria will go down for the Church.
- Every scheming of the devil and his agents against the expansion and enlargement of the Church in Nigeria will go down now.
On your case, you will hear news that the camp of your adversaries is burning with fire. You will hear news. You must hear news.
So the latter days are the days of God’s vengeance. So vengeance came. We saw vengeance raw in Chapter 4 of Acts of the Apostles. We saw it again in Chapter 8 when Peter confronted Simon with the power of God. Church Gist. We saw it again in Chapter 13 when Paul filled with the Holy Ghost, brought vengeance upon Elymas and so the Church went forward. If you don’t curse the resistances, they will stall the church from going forward.
- Every gang up of hell against your family, against your children, against your business comes under judgment now.
So think of guidance, think of vengeance you are not wasting your time. They are all outcomes of standing strong on the altar of prayer and fasting. I am not sure any agent of the devil has gone scotch-free fighting this church. Church Gist. I am not sure anyone has and I am not sure anyone will ever. It is a hard thing for anybody to kick against bricks and you are one of such. Anybody that kicks against your destiny will lose his leg, will lose his eyes, will lose his mind.
Lift your right hand to heaven and give God thanks. If anything came through to you, give Him thanks.
Somebody just jumped out of the grave and your enemy got closed up there. You shall be visited tonight. You shall enjoy a lifetime encounter tonight. Church Gist. Your enemies will smell tonight. Your path shall be supernaturally guided from tonight
My admonition for us: stand on your watch, set yourself on the tower and watch to see what He will say to you. He will speak. Write what He says. Believe what He says. It shall surely come to pass. Church Gist. Revelation 1:10. We live in the Spirit but it is time to walk in the spirit. Galatians 5:25.
- May the last three days of this fast be your most awesome experience in your walk with God.
Something interesting is this. His agenda speaks loudest at the end. I was on five days of hanging around with God on details concerning the ministry. It was on the fifth day that He spoke. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. All of what He said is speaking today. Disconnect from every association that can break your being on your watch. Disconnect from TV. You are not a media man, nobody is talking about you there. I broke away from it years ago so I can hear the voice from heaven. Church Gist. I won’t tell you how long. It is a weight. I can’t feed myself on those junk and lies of those so called international media that are just inflicting fear on people. Whatever won’t let you stand your watch these three days, stay off it and pick the last moment instructions, corrections and rebukes so we can be perfect, honourable vessels in the hand of God. Something will happen. Be blessed.
One thing I can assure you is that the assault of death shall be laid to rest in this church and in your family. Death will pack its luggage and go. It shall be said if this assembly “they don’t die young there”. In a place where a 100-year-old person is sharing flyers around. Church Gist. Haba! Death you have lost out. Death of foetuses in the womb you have lost out. Death in our midst has lost out. The blood will stay in the hand of the destroyer.
Lift those two hands and give God praise.
