“RUNNING WITH THE PRIZE IN VIEW” Philippians 3:13,14. Every runner presses. Whatever runner desires a prize, press, they press. No athlete wins a prize without a press. No one wins a prize in a race wishing. You win the prize pressing. No one goes forward in life sitting down, you go forward taking steps. “I press”. 1 Corinthians 9:26. Church Gist. No one makes much out of life without a run, without a fight against whatever wants to hold you down and he presses against whatever may not be convenient but is required, he presses.
Running with the prize in view, among others, we must engage the power of self imposed necessity for delivery. 1 Corinthians 9:16. Self imposed necessity is a natural medium through which we deliver any given task, self imposed necessity. As it is commonly said, necessity is the mother of invention. Church Gist. I wrote in one of my books, when your assignment becomes a task, all your senses will come alive. When it becomes a task, not when it is a hobby. Not when it’s a ‘Make them see me’ kind of thing, when it becomes a task, that all I need to step into the fullness of God’s Fortune Agenda is ‘bring many’. Daniel 12:3. To pray many into the Kingdom, to witness to many to be saved, to bring many to Jesus in Church so they can meet with Him with their salvation, deliverance and breakthroughs. Church Gist. When that becomes a task, you are naturally motivated, naturally self motivated. Self imposed necessity is key to the delivery of any given task.
I once stated one cannot be committed and not creative. Genuine commitment spurs creativity and innovation. One cannot be creative in his approach to a given task and not be productive. Church Gist. One cannot be productive and not be successful at the delivery of the task. So, it begins with commitment. Genuine commitment will stir creativity, creativity will breed productivity, productivity will result in successful delivery.
The problem we have had in the Body of Christ is ‘So let it be, I’ve done my best’ They said you didn’t pass, you said ‘I’ve done my best’ What’s the relationship? Do you mean your best is failure? No! Your commitment failed, not necessarily you failed, it’s commitment that failed.
One of my students asked a question, he said “Some of us take coffee to stay awake, we take kola nuts to stay awake, what do you take?” I said, “Responsibility, that is what I take to stay awake, responsibility.” I mean, you don’t need kola nuts to wake up and go to work in the morning, you wake up by responsibility. Church Gist. You live in Iyana Ipaja and you work in VI (Victoria Island, Lagos State), you don’t need kola to wake up, then you say you slept because you didn’t eat kola, no, you don’t need kola, responsibility jerks you up.
– Praise God.
But the reason why many are not sold out to these things is that they can’t see, no, they have heard, they have read but they can’t see the outcome, they can’t see the benefits of doing it. You can’t see what benefits you and ignore it, no. Church Gist. You can’t see what enhances your worth and ignore it. You can’t see what secures your future and ignore it. You can’t see what secures generations after you to come and ignore it. So, we need to pray “Open my eyes oh Lord, that I may behold the wondrous things behind your commandments so I can engage with delight without any coercion.”
Any believer under the law of self imposed necessity is bound to deliver any divine task at his disposal, bound to. Church Gist. I said to God “Should I pretend not to have heard you that you called me to ministry? Let me not succeed in any other thing I do.” Necessity. You can’t sit down and be wishing.
– May the task for the year never fail in the hands of anyone.
I’ve always mentioned, Sir, please listen, a time is coming when your entire worth and my entire worth, your entire skill and my entire skill will not worth a dime. You will hold money and not have what to buy except you know how to connect with heavenly supplies. They had all the gold in the World but they had nowhere to buy food on the journey in the Wilderness. Church Gist. They didn’t even let them pass through the Town where they could buy. What if there was no supply from Heaven? They would (have) all died of hunger, straight. “Let them go that they may serve me” They were running after God who brought them out, so their supply was guaranteed in a land of nothing to buy.
I once told a story of when we had our son and there was no baby food in Town and the Lord told me what to do. “Give all that thing you have as seed” and then the following day, somebody rushed in and brought 24 cartons of baby food. That’s supply Sir, without any contact. He said ‘There is no baby food in Town to buy and the the Lord led me to bring 24 cartons’ Can you imagine? He’s a seller, not that he bought it in his house, without a dime. Church Gist. So, our obedience today is our security tomorrow. Before your eyes and my eyes, see what money is worth now, see what money is worth. But there are riches in glory that answer to those who are serving His interest on the Earth. Sir, there was nowhere to buy clothes, but their clothes never waxed old. How? He was changing their clothes. They said ‘Let us pass, we are going to pay for anything we take’ ‘You can’t pass through here, never, to the bush’ They were walking from wilderness to wilderness, yet all their needs were met because they were sold out after God. Church Gist. You can’t sit down and not be awake. A time is coming that there is nothing that you and I are worth that will matter to our well-being. Philippians 4:19.
Malachi 4:1,2. Malachi 3:17,18. So, this is the time to secure the future. This is your time and my time to secure the future. You better see that now. It’s not about Church movement, Church growth, it’s about me and my security, it’s about me and my eternity because when things go tough, the love of many will wax cold and they will depart from the faith and suffer eternal loss. Church Gist. But when you connect with God, you are flourishing in season and out of season, because of His goodness, you can’t depart from His house. Psalm 23:6. So, it’s time to secure that connection and stop playing religion. Stop showing up in Church and be running up and down.
Among others, serving God fruitfully guarantees express answers to prayers. John 15:16. It secures access to our high places. Habakkuk 3:2,17-19. Church Gist. So, it is connectivity to the move of God that secures a great tomorrow even though it may not appear so now, but it’s guaranteed to be so.
We are going to begin to see the difference between those who are serving God in truth and those who are having fun in Church. Church Gist. The difference will be glarier by the day. It will be as clear as sprite they say. You better strive to fall on the correct side and that on time. The days of the proud are running out very fast.
Serving God secures our generations after us. Can you imagine somebody who left for his children one million naira? He kept it somewhere under his bed and says “when I die, give it to them.” And he says ‘we know the money will increase’ and then money loses value by 80 percent. Well-done! Value gone! Church Gist. But connect them to Jesus and then the future is sustained, their generation is sustained – they pass it to their children, their children to their children’s children – they are ongoing. Serving God secures our generations after us. Psalm 112:1-3…A man that delights himself greatly in the commandments of the Lord, a man that walks in the fear of God – that’s his end. Nobody can see that and believe it and still be dragging. The fact is that we have heard it, we have read it but we have not seen it. So we can’t run with it.
Our future is secured through fruitful Kingdom advancement stewardship. Our generation after us is secured through our delightsome engagement in the same. Church Gist. So everything in the now and the hereafter is guaranteed.
What more?
It secures our continuity in the faith. Luke 13:6-9.
– No one shall be cut down here!
That’s where we are. So wake up! Kingdom advancement stewardship is a hidden treasure of the Kingdom. What it offers has no comparison on the Earth. If you agree that your health is secured by doing it, you will run. Church Gist. If you agree that it will wipe away the challenges of lack and want, you will run. Luke 22:35. If you believe that will bring you to that realm, won’t you run? Sure, you will.
Can I conclude by saying, no one regrets serving God? People only regret faking it. No one regrets serving God in truth and verity, people will only regret faking it. No one regrets investing his time, energy and resources in the pursuit after souls, people only regret acting it. Church Gist. No one regrets giving towards the establishment of souls in truth and in deed, people only regret posing to be doing it when they are not. We are in our season of opportunities. Some lack opportunities, some despise opportunities, anyone can do what he wants with opportunities. We are in our season of gorgeous, glorious and enviable opportunity calling for those who are interested in grabbing it. We are in our season of opportunity. Please, don’t toy with it, don’t play with it. It’s time to get active in your partnership with Christ in advancing the course of His Kingdom on the Earth.
– This Morning, there shall be great harvest!
– There shall be awesome harvest!
– Every devil holding down captives is cursed!
– There is liberty today!
– Utterance is granted to everyone on the go this Morning and everyone praying, their prayers will be answered!
– There is no investment of time, energy and resources today that will not return with abundance of results!
– I mean open rewards!
– The one you won’t need to talk about, they will see it that God has changed your story!
– So shall it be! Thank you Jesus!
—PRAYERS—
– Tomorrow, there shall be mammoth harvest!
– The angels of the Lord are on the loose, they will gather innumerable company of people tomorrow into Church!
– Everyone involved in carrying these precious souls on their shoulders, God will enthrone you!
– God will honour you!
– God will change your story!
– He will open new chapters to you in the name of Jesus!
Please, let all the good samaritans in Church, please watch out to ensure that there are no people left behind in the loading bays. God is watching. Get excited at it. Be concerned how your contacts and converts will get to Church. Church Gist. Be concerned! Somebody with a swollen stomach, swollen leg oozing highly offensive odour is witnessing and is concerned about how they get to Church. And then God said, enough to the oppressor and a mango seedling came out of the body. You can free yourself from the oppression of the wicked by just pursuing after God with every sense of mission. Please, partner with Jesus, it’s for your good and my good.
