50 years no be joke! Una dey hear me so? Many don die by the roadside but when you see the man of this house, you think he just began. Church Gist. Put your hands together and let’s celebrate a giant in the land; a giant of Africa. Let’s appreciate Pastor Ayo this morning. Give God the praise and bless the Lord.
Some people are here but they don’t know how it all began but I’ve known this man of God 43 years. Exactly 43 years ago, we had to walk with him to welcome Reverend Shambach to Lagos. 43 years! Church Gist. These gentlemen just reminded me now that when Word of Life Television equipment needed to be bought, they stayed in my house in London; Pastor Ayo put them in my house. Give God the glory this house!
The Bible says in the book of Hebrews 6:9. I have a prophetic word for Word of Life today, “who no know you go know you.” Church Gist. What God started in this house, no man can stop it; if you believe it, say, “Yes.”
There are preachers in Nigeria who can pack a stadium but they are not known beyond Nigeria; their influence is local. But from a town called Warri, God raised a man. When I said 43 years ago, as at that time when he was still 7 years in the ministry – America here, America there. it means that even from that time, grace was recognized on his life. Church Gist. I don’t want you to be in the house of greatness and not appreciate it. when we celebrate grace we are appreciating it – for leadership, for being a voice, consistency, for being able to lead the body of Christ when he was president and head of CAN, for being the voice of God for Word of Life, for being the example to many who were Evangelists who didn’t also know they can pastor a great Church like this, I want everyone let’s put our hands together and appreciate this legend.
- You have come under the canopy of this house; grace will not cease in your house.
I believe the Lord gave me a word for somebody this season. This auspicious season that we are magnifying God, somebody is about to step into significance. I am glad they brought me in the 8th day of this celebration because 8 is the number of new beginnings. Word of Life get ready for new beginnings; Nigeria, Africa will not stop you. Church Gist. Your past is not your future. 1 Corinthians 2:9. One is the number of beginning; 2 is the number of witness; 3 is the number of God; 4 is the number of balance of the 4 corners of the Earth; 5 is the number of Grace; 6 is the number of man; 7 is the number of perfection but 8… I didn’t count the number of days of the conference when the Lord said, “Go and speak on stepping into new significance.”
Ruth 3:1-5. I came to preach about stepping into new beginnings. I came to let somebody know, ‘you are stepping into a new season.’ If one season does not end – 50 years, another season does not begin. Church Gist. For somebody in this service today, I may not know you personally but I am announcing to you today, ‘You are stepping into new beginnings.’
Some things happen for us to step into a new season. Ruth was minding her business when the family came from Bethlehem to marry her. Church Gist. Then one day, Mahlon, Chilion and their father … (Ruth 1:1-22). Ruth according to Hebrew tradition is actually a princess and a sister to Orpah who left.
- From this morning, you are stepping into new seasons.
2 sisters, princesses – one moved away but Ruth followed the mother –in – law. Church Gist. When she followed the mother in-law, there was nothing to see; no appearance of any breakthrough but God was putting a miracle in the making.
- There’s a miracle in the making for you. It won’t be long it shall manifest.
Ruth followed the mother-in-law, they got to the land of Israel. When they got there, (Naomi) told her, “My daughter, here in Israel according to the book of Leviticus, anybody wey no get money, e no go sleep hungry. Just go to any farm wey you see. Church Gist. They go leave food by the roadside. Just carry food come make we chop.” Princess picking food by the roadside! Some people are laughing at you; they don’t know that it is just darkness that covers the day.
- I came to announce to someone here that darkness is over!
You know some people, they look at you with the eye of yesterday. Church Gist. They no know say you are about to step into a new season. Look at your neighbour tell them, “It won’t be long!”
Ruth only went to pick food by the roadside na im she come see where dem dey harvest for one farm and she no be lazy girl because no food for a lazy man. She just told them, “Excuse me, can I do labourer work here?” Church Gist. A princess! They said come and join us. Ruth did not know that her steps were ordered to the farm of a millionaire bachelor.
- God will order your steps to the right place; to your connection in Jesus’ Name.
She joined them in picking and the owner of the farm Mr Boaz shows up. When he saw Ruth, she’s a carrier of favour, glory. There’s somebody here, I came to push your destiny out; your glory will shine! He said who is this? Church Gist. They said it’s Ruth. All the amebo wey dey the farm, they come dey begin run Ruth down. “Oga no go there oo. Die die dey follow am. Her husband, brother-in-law, father-in-law, don die.”
- Every negative they have spoken concerning you, God will rewrite your story.
Boaz himself didn’t know what he was doing. He looked at Ruth, He said, ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, that woman wey una say no good, give her a handful of purpose. Church Gist. Give her double double. Double favour, testimony.’
- You have come to this year’s convention; you are going home with double double.
Ruth come carry the food of that day. You left empty you are coming back full of favour, blessing, glory, turnaround in the name of Jesus. She arrived back home and left the food. The Mother-in-law said, “Ah ah, my daughter I see lots of food. Church Gist. Where did you go?” She said “mama, I saw one farm and worked there.” she said who is the owner of the farm? She said his name is Boaz. The mother said how come of all the farms it is the one your destiny is connected to that you went to?
- You will not miss your target, purpose, testimony, glory. God will order your steps and you will come into your blessing. You will see your testimony
The mother-in-law said Boaz is a bachelor, eligble to marry you, our kinsman. The mother-in-law told her, ‘You are going back there because it is not over yet. Church Gist. Something is about to change.’ Word of Life they think you have possessed possessions; they don’t know you are just beginning. The mother-in-law said the man will be winnowing barley tonight. You are going there. But:
- You must wash yourself
- You must anoint yourself
- Everything that has been stopping you must leave you.
- Every ugliness that Nigeria has put on you we are washing it away! From today you will forget your yesterday, your pains.
The mother-in-law was telling her, ‘Yes you may be a Moabite, but you have entered this place; don’t carry a widow face around. Church Gist. You need to wash your face.’ You cannot go forward looking like a Moabite in the land of plenty.
- Everything that held you up yesterday must let you go!
- Every witch holding you I command them to let you go
I came all the way from London to let you know: some people are looking at your face and they are describing you by yesterday. Church Gist. From today your story will change! Deuteronomy 23:2-3
- Where they said your family can never reach, you are entering from today
- Tell your neighbour, ‘wash your face.’ Every mud they have thrown on you, the Holy Ghost washes it away! It will be a new season in your life.
Who sees you matters; who knows you matters. Ruth was about to be seen by a millionaire bachelor and so the mother-in-law told her, ‘wash your face.’ I came to let you know, by the anointing, every ugly thing satan tried to put on you, God washes it away. Then the mother-in-law told her, ‘anoint your face. Church Gist. Put something new on yourself, brighten your countenance. It’s time for you to leave the past.’ No one is interested in complains. From today new oil is coming on you. Word of Life will take territories; the oil for taking territories is coming on this house! The oil of God will find your children! From today, I break the spirit of heaviness in your life. You will enter your breakthrough. Church Gist. Then the mother-in-law said, ‘Change your garment. Remove that cloth of widowhood.’
- Someone in this house, you will exceed the glory of your nation! Prepare for your coming favour. Every cloth of shame, limitation, embarrassment, mourning and widowhood is removed from your life.
The Bible says that when Bartimaeus heard that it was Jesus passing by, he removed his garment because beggars in Bible times had to wear uniform. Once you see them, they have colour for blind ones, lame ones respectively. Church Gist. When he heard that Jesus was passing by he knew that he had to change his garment.
- Somebody in this service today, today is the last day you will know poverty. Your breakthrough will come so fast.
When you were coming to Church today, you dressed up for Church. When you are going for a dinner, you prepare for it. I came to announce to somebody God is saying, ‘Get ready.’ If I didn;t receive a message from heaven I won’t be here. Church Gist. I left our services on Sunday in London to let somebody know, “Your dress will change! Your address will change. You will reach where they said you will never reach.”
Then the mother-in-law told her, ‘go to the place.’ I anoint your feet today; you are going to the place of your blessing, testimony, turnaround. Church Gist. For everyone who is hearing me this morning that has been held down by chains, I came with the anointing and declare, ‘everything holding you from the place, I break the chain.’ God said to the Prophet Elijah, ‘… for there I have commanded it…’ there is a ‘there’ for you.
- You will go there; you will enter there.
I need to tell you: when you get there, no be the kind place wey you dey enter before; it is bigger than where you have been. Church Gist. So, don’t stay in the lobby. Some people when they get to a place of greatness, they think it is too much.
- Today, the 8th day of this convention, God will push you to the place. You will enter.
I built a small house in Lagos – a nice place to rest and because I built it when I was getting a bit older, I even put lift in my house so that the lift will take me to my room. I even get cinema there; I can put the light out from London. Church Gist. I use my phone to put off the light in Lagos. I can play music in one room and not other rooms. I can play music by the swimming pool. My bedroom is the size of my dormitory when I was in Bible school. The dormitory where about 60 of us stayed.
But one man came to my house – na Bishop. When he entered my sitting room see the carpet wey dey around the table he said, I need to remove my shoe. He said this kind carpet them no dey take shoe climb am. The house intimidate am. Church Gist. He began asking me, ‘Has Bishop so and so been here?’ I said I didn’t announce to anyone; it’s just a small house.
- I came to announce to someone, you will not stay at the lobby. You will not be intimidated.
- That dream you carry shall become your reality
When I stay at the balcony I am looking at the lagoon. The lagoon is not up to the front of this Church; I can walk into the water. The mother-in-law told her, ‘Go to the place.’ And she knew Ruth will be shaking. Go where the man is sleeping? But the mother was speaking by a prophetic voice. Church Gist. The mother-in-law told her, ‘When you get there, no begin dey talk anyhow. No say anything wey no good.’ From today, your mouth will not open the wrong door. You will not invite the devil, sickness. This is 50 years of jubilee; your jubilee is here; your season is here.
When Ruth went to the place, she removed the cloth covering the man’s feet. The man got the message that she is saying, ‘I want to marry you.’ He said, ‘I have heard that you are the wife of so and so who died. I qualify to marry you; but there’s one man between me and you. Church Gist. If that man rejects you, then you will be mine.’ Now I want to ask you, if you were Ruth, you know say this one na the blessed one; a millionaire. You go wait for that man.’ Ruth come begin pray. - Anything that is not connected to you, I break it today
He got to the elders sitting. Boaz said, ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Ruth. I desire to marry her but this man is older than me. If he rejects her, I will take her.’ The sign of rejection is that he should remove his shoe and shake his shoe that he doesn’t want Ruth. The man said, ‘I know say her husband get property; can I take the property and reject Ruth?’ Some people don’t know who you are; they don’t know what you carry. Church Gist. When you see a ministry like this that 35 years of Church and 50 years of grace and it is still relevant, God is in the house. They told the man, ‘You don’t take Ruth, you can’t have the property.’ But he did not know that the property is not comparable to the destiny Ruth carries. He didn’t know that if he chose Ruth, he will get the land but Ruth is bigger than that land. The man rejected Ruth; and when he rejected Ruth, Boaz took her.
You see Boaz, his grandfather is Perez. Who is Perez? There were 2 children inside one woman womb. First one bring out im hand; test am test am testing testing. Church Gist. He no like wetin he feel outside. He pulled back his hand. Perez means breaker; breakthrough. Perez pushed his head.
- You are breaking through this year!
Boaz, grandson of Perez and Boaz and Ruth now gave birth to Obed. Obed gave birth to Jesse; Jesse gave birth to David. David gave birth to Solomon. Church Gist. On and on, Ruth come enter New Testament. The woman somebody rejected! - The people who rejected you, they will suffer; they will regret.
The woman who was rejected is now the selected to carry the destiny of Jesus
- From today, your hands will handle greatness, favour, testimony, breakthrough and glory.
When she was marrying Boaz, she didn’t know she was connecting to the family of breakthrough. That breakthrough cancelled all her past; now she is married to a millionaire. She was a Princess she walked away from yesterday to walk into a new season. Church Gist. Thank God for the past of Word of Life; 50 years of our Father in the house and 35 years of great ministry, but today on this altar, I want to speak some breakthrough into your life. They shall become your reality. Every breakthrough statement you hear, I want your Amen to shake the roof.
- You will overcome every obstacle
- You will know major advancement
- You are moving from lack to abundance, from barrenness to fruitfulness
- You will break new grounds and the yoke of limitation
- The embargo on your family is lifted; the battle is over
- Every project your hand touches shall be completed successfully
I make my boast in Jesus. I got born again when I was 20. I became 70 in March. I went to Bible School 48 years ago. I married 41 years ago. My son is 39; he is the one taking all the services today. Church Gist. Where am I going? In the 70 years since being born again, I have never slept in a hospital; not since I was born.
- I take of that grace today, the grace of health and place on your life!
- Every genetic disease and sickness, the power is broken in the name of Jesus
- It’s a new beginning for you
- Your expectation will come to pass
- Mama Naomi looked like a problem but she was a destiny helper. You will not miss your destiny helper
- You will swim in the ocean of favour; that’s the grace upon Papa Ayo
The head quarter of our Church in London is sitting on 24 acres; the largest Church premises for any Church in the United Kingdom. Church Gist. It is worth 45 million pounds; we bought it 5 (million pounds). I place that favour on you!
I was raised poor; we were so poor that you don’t need 4 letters to spell our poor – only 2 letters. We lived in the worst houses in the north. Church Gist. My dad was a soldier; we always lived where nobody wanted.
- Where you have known rejection, there you will know celebration.
- As we are entering this new beginning, the delay is over.
All the ladies in the business of Boaz wanted to marry him; he didn’t see them. Church Gist. One girl came from the land of rejection, he saw her, she saw him and she broke the barrier.
- From today, every barrier known and unknown, you break them!
