Job 1:9-10. Speaking quickly on the subject, “The Blessing Hedge”. Job 1:10. Church Gist. We are going to be understanding as objective what the blessing is all about and to understand how to secure the Blessing hedge.
By way of introduction, it’s important to note that;
1. The blessing of the Lord establishes a hedge around the life of the blessed. Church Gist. Whenever God blesses a man or a woman or a person, that Blessing establishes a hedge around the life of the Blessed.
2. The Blessed of the Lord is never vulnerable. Meaning that the Blessed of the Lord is never at the mercy of the forces of life. It’s never vulnerable; let God be true and let every devil be a liar. Church Gist. The Blessed of the Lord is never vulnerable and never at the mercy of the forces of the enemy.
3. The provision of the Lord is always accompanied by the protection of the Lord. The God who is the provider is the protector; the God who is the provider is the preserver. Church Gist. The one who can give wealth can give health. So, God does not help you for the enemy to hurt you; He doesn’t raise you so satan can ruin you. Church Gist. If He raises you, He keeps you – that was what happened to Job.
Very quickly, from this life of Job, what is the full package of the Blessing? Job 1:10.
1. Successful endeavour in life. When the Blessing is upon a person, the first characteristic and way to know is that the person has a successful endeavour in life. Church Gist. “Thou has blessed the works of his hands” means, whatever he touches, flourishes. The Blessing prospers the works of a man’s hand. Deuteronomy 28:8.
2. Increasing output in life. Not only is he successful, whatever he does increases. It is a rising profile, increasing profile. Church Gist. Proverbs 4:18. There’s nothing that decreases around him; the things about him are on the increase. “Thou has increased the works of his hands”.
3. Undeniable impact in the land. Job 1:10. Undeniable impact wherever he is found; whether it is in the office, undeniable impact. Genesis 1:28. Church Gist. You can confirm that you’re truly blessed when your generation is filled with your result, when your vicinity is filled with the impact of your presence, the neighborhood you live in, the community you live in, the family you have come from, when they’re filled with your impact, results, services and your signature. Church Gist. The land feels you, the land feels your product and your services.
4. The preservation of personal life. The Blessing preserves the blessed. “Hast thou not made an hedge about him?” God blessed him and hedged him. The Blessing on your life is a defense for your life. Psalm 5:12. Church Gist. So the blessed man and woman are shielded by the blessing on his life.
– I announce today by the blessing of God upon this House and your life, every satanic agenda looking for you backfires to hell!
– somebody say, “I am too blessed to be a victim. I am too blessed to be destroyed by the powers of hell!”
Listen, let God be true and let every devil be a liar, there is a preservation of personal life.
5. There is a preservation of loved ones Job 1:10.
So the blessed are shielded and the loved ones of the blessed are also shielded- Mother, father and siblings Acts 16:31. Church Gist. When the blessing shields you, that shield is extended to everybody related, connected and associated with you.
The word, ‘Save’ is a Greek word ‘Sozo’ translated to be rescued, delivered, sealed and every single thing that it implies.
-From today, everybody related, connected and associated with you and this House, I declare their preservation in the Name of Jesus! Church Gist. You will not die before your time! By the blessing of God upon this House, your children, mother, father and siblings cannot be wasted before their time!
Let God be true and let every devil be a liar!
6. The preservation of possessions and resources.
You have made a hedge about him (Job)… Job 1:10. Every one of his business interests and investments is shielded. You and your resources are not permitted to be wiped off your feet by a thief or criminal. How many of you know that there are times the devil touches what a man has and that affects the man’s life? Church Gist. I know of people who have died of hypertension and stroke because their houses were demolished. You have heard such stories before!
-By this blessing hedge, I announce today, everything that is yours, every area where you have a stake, anywhere you have an interest or an investment- Church Gist. Every agenda of the enemy to destroy it, is frustrated and returned back to hell!
Declaration: I am blessed by the blessing of the Lord and everything around me- My life, household and everything that I lay my hands on are shielded, defended and protected by the blessing in the Name of Jesus!
So what is the package of the blessing?
a) Succesful endeavour in life
b) Increasing output in life- Nothing is decreasing
c) Undeniable impact in the land
d) The preservation of personal life
e) The preservation of loved ones or household
f) The preservation of possessions and resources
Two passages in the Scripture speak about the blessing hedge- Psalm 112:1-10 and Psalms 23:1-end.
Now, what are the secrets or keys of establishing the blessing hedge?
1. Embrace the fear of the God. In Job 1:9-10, satan was telling Him, ‘Does Job fear you for nothing? The product of that fear is that God has made a hedge around him. The fear of the Lord establishes a hedge around the blessed. What is the fear of the Lord? Proverbs 8:13… The fear of the Lord is to hate and avoid evil. It is to exercise that conscience that is tender and does not accommodate guilt.2. Avoid the fear of evil. Job got the hedge by fearing God, he lost the hedge by fearing the devil. Job 3:24-25. When he was afraid of only God, the hedge was around him, when he began to fear the devil, the hedge broke and the devil arrived. Church Gist. Beloved brothers and sisters, never entertain the fear of evil. The entertainment for the fear of evil is invitation for calamity, it’s invitation for disaster. Church Gist. It doesn’t matter what happens around you, never entertain the fear of evil and calamity. The fear of calamity invites adversity. Don’t!
Isaiah 8:13-14. Let God be your only fear and He will become your bomb shelter. Isaiah 8:14. Nothing is your turn until you agree that it is your turn, either good or evil. Church Gist. He said, “I place before you life and death, blessing or cursing; but choose life that you may live”. Deuteronomy 30:19. Nothing is your turn until you decide it is your turn, whether good or evil.
– it is your turn to fulfill your days! It is your turn to live! It is your turn to be everything God wants you to be! It is your turn to fulfill destiny!
– lift your hands and say, “the Blessing hedge is around my life! It is my decision to fulfill my days. It is my turn to do well, not my turn to fail. Church Gist. In the name of Jesus, I shall do well. I shall flourish, I shall not perish before my time!”
In case you never heard anything from the service tonight, nothing is your turn until you agree that it is your turn, whether good or evil. Church Gist. One woman was in an aircraft and the pilot said, “get ready for a crash” and she said, “No”. So, this woman by the side said, “so, we are going to die like this?” And she said, “No. If you’re about to die, I am not about to die. My pastor said, ‘see you when you come back’ and he would see me because I would come back”. Church Gist. Nothing is your turn until you agree that it is your turn, and never keep quiet when your destiny is being decided.
I’ve seen people even make choices on the other side. John G. Lake’s wife passed and she appeared somewhere and the angels said, ‘Welcome to the City of God’! And she said, ‘Where is this? He said, ‘Heaven’! ‘I’m not ready yet! Church Gist. Who will take care of my husband and my children’ and she returned back by choice!
Nothing is your turn until you agree that it is your turn whether good or bad. No dream is final and no Prophecy is conclusive. Church Gist. You have a choice in the matter!
No! If God can give you a choice, what is the devil? Hallelujah!
-I stand here by the Prophetic and Apostolic mantle of God in my life and I say, ‘You shall fulfill your days’!
– I said it over and over again, the sickness that killed your father and people in your family will not kill you!
-The way that others are ending in your family, you cannot end like that!
Are you ready to pray for some minutes? One thing that I know in the Scripture is that, the fact that the law exists does not mean that it will be kept. That is why there are Law Enforcement Agents. If there are no Law Enforcement Agents, we will live in a lawless earth. This is the law but here is the enforcement. Church Gist. The law document that contains the law of the land is called, ‘The Constitution’, the one that contains the law of the Kingdom is called, ‘The Bible’. It is at the place of prayer that we enforce laws.
God said that if Israel worship idol, they should not have rain, yet they were worshipping idols and rain was falling until a man arose to enforce the law- His name was Elijah. Church Gist.He said, ‘Lord! You said if the people serve other gods there should be no rain. If you read Deuteronomy 28:40 you will see those negative laws- Their sand will become dust and their Heaven will become brass. Why are they still experiencing rain and they are worshipping baal? And God must have said, ‘I was waiting for who will enforce the law’. And Elijah said, ‘I’m here’! He said, ‘Okay! Go and enforce it! So he returned from God and said to Ahab, ‘Before God Whom I serve, there shall be no rain or dew in this land until I speak again’. Why? Because it is in the Constitution.
So tonight, we want to enforce some laws and after we have prayed tonight I want you to continually enforce it.
