Welcome to Father’s Day!
-Father, speak to us through Your Word, let everyone, both men, women be blessed of Your Word in Jesus’ Mighty Name!
Today all over the world, the world is celebrating Father’s Day and the Message this morning, I will be taking two sessions – I will be taking the Message and I will be taking the Father’s Blessing which is more of a Prophetic Session. Church Gist. But the Message is: ‘THE FATHER THAT PRAYS – PART 2’.
Who is a father?
A father is someone who takes on the role of a caregiver, protector, provider and mentor for his children. He is someone who nurtures and actively participates in the upbringing and well-being of his children. Hear this and hear me well, no family can succeed pursuing God’s plan for them in the energy of the flesh. Church Gist. Trusting in your academics, human connections, skill and strength has their limitations because by strength shall no man prevail Ecclesiastes 9:11, 1 Samuel 2:9 and Romans 9:16. A father must take the lead as the head of the family to commit things into the hand of God through prayer.
In Psalms 37:5, it is what you commit unto the able hands of God at the altar of prayer that delivers the desired results. If you don’t commit things to God’s hand, you will do nothing. One major weapon satan fears and dreads with his angels is the weapon of prayers, satan does not fear your elongated English, he does not fear your dressing, satan has no fear for your grammatical expressions, satan has no fear for even the anointing – It will shock you, he has only fear for prayers. Peter was anointed when he came to prison. Church Gist. He killed James as an anointed man, satan has no respect, the only thing satan dreads is prayers. That’s why he will do everything to make you weak not to pray.
-But I pray today, you will never be weak anymore!
How to be a praying father?
A. Study the Word to know the will of God otherwise you can never be a praying father 1 John 5:14.
It is locating His will which is the Word of God that qualifies you for audience with God. Church Gist. God will not give you audience until you know what God has said concerning you and your family. So get connected with the right Scriptures per time by the help of the Holy Spirit for Prophetic Release. Every time you know the will of God, you can establish what God has said concerning you and your family.
-And I pray that from today, whatever God has said concerning you will be established in the Name of Jesus!
2 Peter 2:19, God’s Word is the sure word of Prophecy. Anything God says here is automatic but hear this, it will shock you: ‘Do you know, if you read Bible without prayer, you will not get revelation? It is prayer that gives you access to revelation of God’s Word Psalms 119:18 – Your eyes will not be open… Every time that you are prayerful and you read the Bible, you get revelation, insight comes! Church Gist. If you are prayerless and you read Bible, you will not get insight! It is those insights, the revelation that will make you have revolution on the earth Jeremiah 33:3. So for God to show you, you must come first in prayers. You can’t have access to the deep things of God if you are not prayerful.
Things to do as a father as regards prayers?
1. Contend in prayers
What He says to the men, He is also saying to the women oo, we are just saying it because it’s Father’s Day, God is also talking to the women because the principles are the same. I said so in the First Service, satan does not say, ‘Women pass here, men pass here’! Does he say so? Okay! Have you seen where satan wants to do bad things, he says, ‘Women go this way, men go this way’! In Deuteronomy 2:24, … ‘and contend with him in battle’. That ‘Contend’ is not carrying God, it’s all about prayer because every blessing from God will be contested by the devil so you have to rise up, either you rise up or nothing will be given to you. You have to get up and say, ‘No! Satan! He belongs to me’!
-And from today, I see you get whatever God has given to you!
2. Take what belongs to you by force Matthew 11:12
It is at the altar of prayer you take back what belongs to you in Christ. Now, God has said to you, ‘This is yours’. But don’t think that satan will just watch, I say, ‘What you don’t want, you don’t watch it, you contend in prayers – Satan take off’! God gave us where the Cathedral is, but there was heavy contention, it was prayers that made us get it back. Church Gist. Are you getting what I am saying now? There are certain things God has given to you that satan will not let them get to you, you have to get up and take it by force.
-And from today, they will be released to you.
3. Resist the devil with prayers
What do I do as a praying father? Resist the devil with prayers. In Luke 11:20-22, the strong man is the devil so you will stand against him and take all that belongs to you in redemption. You have to come fiercely in prayers and say, “Satan! No way!”. Church Gist. Your health is being threatened, you say: ‘Satan, you can’t destroy my health, I come against you, you can’t kill my son, I come against you! You can’t attack my family! I come against you in the Name of Jesus! Take your hands off’!
-And as you stand in the gap, God will hear you in the Name of Jesus!
4. Engage in Spiritual warfare to guarantee the good welfare of the family
Have you not seen where you send children to school and they turn upside down? The boy, satan has taken over him to destroy your destiny. You get up and say, ‘God! The blessing of the Lord maketh rich and addeth no sorrow Proverb 10:22. You say, ‘The fruit of the womb is Thy reward! You said, ‘Thy seed shall be mighty on the earth! Church Gist. I can’t give birth to this child and he becomes a problem to me. Satan! Take your hands off my son now! I rescue him by the blood of Jesus’! Are you getting me, Sir? ‘This my son will never be a nuisance, Lord it is my own seed, I am born again now, I decree wherever you want to hold him captive to destroy his destiny, I lose him by the blood of Jesus’! And your son will just one day come back and say, ‘Sir, daddy, sorry’! That sorry is not physical, you have taken charge.
A great man of God called Yonggi Cho of blessed memory, he is gone to be with the Lord, had a son called Samuel, this boy was in South Korea, was a problem to the father, the father got tired, sent him to America believing that if he goes to America he will change but he went to America and became worst. In Korea, he was not better and then America. Church Gist. You know some of you when children is in UNILAG (University of Lagos) you say, ‘Let me send him to UK (United Kingdom). This time if he was smoking cigarette, he would now smoke the other one. So this boy became a problem to the father, he will drink and drink, you know? When his father comes to visit him in the United States, he will do like this, ‘I want some money, money, I mean money’! His father would give him.
The mother almost died, the doctors advised her ‘If you don’t stop, you will die of hypertension! So one day, the father went to United States. He prayed, he said: ‘Samuel, you will never be useless’! – This man went to the city, prayed for Samuel. Then one day Samuel came as usual, the father was afraid thinking that Samuel has come with his problem. Church Gist. Samuel now sat down and was looking at his father, then he now said: ‘I know you thought that I have come again to trouble you, I have changed! His father said, ‘Ah’! He said, ‘I have changed, sorry for all the troubles I have caused. Samuel is a great Man of God now. Are you understanding? So, you don’t watch your family go down, are you getting what I am saying?
Ephesians 6:12-14, there are people who don’t like your children. They pick your child’s name and since they cannot reach you, they say, ‘This boy will be useless, let him take alcohol – They put alcohol and put his name. Do you know why I hate ‘White garment Churches’? People don’t know why I hate them. If you know what they do, you will never like them. They can take your own name, surname and put inside one bottle of gin and make incantations, ‘This boy, as this gin is, that is how the boy will be drinking’! Ask them they do it, all these Cele prophets, they will take the name of somebody and put it inside ‘kaikai’, you know kaikai? Hot drink and then they will read all those demonic psalms and the boy will just say like this, ‘Give me a bottle of Schnapp’! A boy who was not taking it before. And that time, you say, ‘Satan! Take your hands off me’!
-I stand as your own Pastor, any child under you held down by the devil. I command, loose in the Name of Jesus’! By the Blood of the Covenant, you will be free now! Ephesians 6:12-14. Church Gist.
Pray and fast in order to take charge, learn also to pray in the Spirit Ephesians 6:18. Be baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in new tongues. Are you getting what I am saying?
5. Your mind must be guarded always with the Word of God 2 Corinthians 10:5
Cast down everything! Listen! Don’t sit down and imagine bad things for your family. Are you hearing me now? Church Gist. Be very careful! ‘E be like say my pikin go die’! Why will you think that your child will die? Satan is the one giving you that kind of imagination – ‘Get out of my mind, you devil’! None of my children will be lost’! Proverbs 4:23.
Mental warfare is more important! After you do spiritual warfare also have what? Mental warfare. Satan will come to tell you nonsense. Tell him, ‘Satan! Quiet! That’s not my portion! My portion is that the blessing of God maketh rich and addeth no sorrow’. He will just look at you and say, ‘You will be poor’!! You can’t even train your children! Blood of Jesus! No! You will train your children! He says, ‘You see this your boy, this your boy? He will be very useless’! So that you will begin to say, ‘This boy? He will be very useless oo’! He says, ‘Your seeds shall be mighty’! Work on your mind! Don’t allow satan corrupt your mind with negative thoughts! Ephesians 3:20.
-So tell yourself, I will be prayerful.
A man of God is not somebody who holds a microphone, a man of God is simply a man who has a relationship with God. Was Abraham a Pastor? But he was a man of God. True?
One major Benefit:
When you are prayerful, one major benefit is that spiritual empowerment becomes your portion. You become spiritually empowered. Prayer and fasting will empower you supernaturally, it will put you on top of life’s situations and circumstances. Matthew 9:14-15, Luke 4:14, listen men, don’t live your life where in a week you don’t have a day to fast. Church Gist. All men hear me now! In this Church we fast every Thursday, please don’t play with your life. Every Thursday, as a disciplined man, fast every Thursday whether you are home oo, whether you are abroad oo, live it as a lifestyle. You people are all matured, you see in the world nobody is neutral. Even those that say, ‘I don’t care!!’ they enter places you don’t enter. Some of you were there before you got born again, true? So you were there before! So now, you can’t be born again and be living your life carelessly.
Were you not there before? Put one leaf here and one leaf there! Before you got born again, you used to take back enter house. You say, ‘That’s how I like to enter house’! How can you now be born again, thinking that those kinds of people cannot challenge you? You are going for supply with them, they put something on their tongue, something on their eyes, some of them they even tie on their waist. And you, no fasting for the whole week, no nah! Don’t play with your life like that, are you hearing me now? When you are fasting and praying, you become spiritually empowered Luke 4:14. Church Gist. That’s why we call the week of fasting, ‘Week of Spiritual Empowerment’! The reason why we call it empowerment is because that’s the week you become empowered to move forward. That’s why every month in this Church, we have days we fast. The reason why we call it that is because we are empowered for that month. And check most of the people who fast, you will agree with me that, that month you are charged. Are you getting me now?
Every month, we have three days, the next one will be seven days. Every month, we have days we fast and every Thursday we fast in this Church. Church Gist. And, you too fast! Not every time morning till night you carry food – “Give me tea!!” Don’t tear down your destiny. Tea and tear is ‘r’, resist tea in the morning. That ‘r’ is resist tea in the morning! That ‘r’ is ‘Resist’! If you don’t want to tear down your destiny, resist some days to be empowered! How many of you will be empowered?
Rise to your feet!
——–PRAYER——-
-Every negative name or negative identity given to you, I command today it must change.
-A better new name be given to you!
-They’ve labelled you poor man, they’ve labelled you failure. Church Gist. Whatever negative name that people have labelled you with, I command it torn in the Name of Jesus!
-You shall be named by a new name which the mouth of the Lord Himself has named you within the Name of Jesus!
I heard God clearly, if you have a child giving you concern take that child’s name on a piece of paper.
-Now, in the Name of Jesus, as the Name of that person is so the person is, so I decree and I declare by the blood of the covenant, that name that you are presenting (Call the person by name).
-In the Name of Jesus, by the blood of Jesus, be out in Jesus’ Name! I bring you out of that evil habit, I lose you by the blood of Jesus.
-You are free right now!
-As I’m led by the Spirit of the Holy Ghost, by Your hand, bring that person out of that habit. Restore to the person the joy of Salvation. It’s a new dawn! Give thanks, it is done!
I sang in the First Service but I’m not going to sing because I used singing to create an atmosphere for this Supernatural, please set your heart, it is not how long. Bishop Oyedepo did not pray for me for long, he prayed for us for less than thirty seconds but the effect is still on till today. It’s not how long, if somebody prays for you it is your heart. My wife and I were set when we entered this office in the year 2000 and that one word in the year 2000 shifted us to another level, that was where everything turned.
How many hearts are set? The Father’s Blessing. When a father blesses you, it is irrevocable, irreversible or contestable. The pronouncement of the Father’s Blessing can turn a carpenter to a jet owner. When God created man in Genesis chapter 1, the first word God pronounced on the man He created was, ‘God blessed them’! He was saying, ‘God empowered them to succeed and prosper’!
Today in the Name of Jesus, I speak the words from my mouth as a means and medium for the blessing:
-Be blessed in the Name of Jesus!
In the First Service, I told the young man with pain to come out, I didn’t say, ‘Be healed’! On the spot, pain left him. Those who were in the First Service will tell. When I say, ‘Be blessed, it is beyond just material things’! Blessing is, you are empowered to succeed, empowered to prosper. Now, I decree:
-Whatever was not working in your life, with the blessing now, it will work!
-No matter the government, let government come, let government go, I decree the blessing will distinguish you in the Name of Jesus!
Every time God wants to change a man’s story, the first word you will hear: ‘And God blessed them’. When the world was destroyed the first word God pronounced on Noah was, ‘And God blessed Noah’! Genesis 9:1. It was after the blessing, other things that follow the blessing began to happen. Church Gist. After God changed the story of Abraham, the first word He said to Abraham was, ‘And God blessed Abraham’. And He said in all things, we are also connected to the blessings Galatians 3:29, Psalms 115:12-13.
-God will bless us!
When Paul came, he said, ‘I came with the fullness of the blessing’! Romans 15:29. Church Gist. As God sent Paul, He sent me and I come on this Father’s Day with fullness of the blessing.
– I decree, the fullness of God’s blessing rests on you right now! It means, complete blessing to move you to another level.
– I decree today, the fullness of the blessing of God that is pronounced now rests on you in the Name of Jesus! Proverbs 10:22, the blessings of the Lord maketh rich not your works, not the appointment. Church Gist. How can a slave like Joseph become a Prime Minister? Blessing! They removed the coat of many colours but the blessing could not be removed.
I don’t care who hates you, I’m pronouncing these words as a man sent by God.
-Today, God will distinguish you from now!
-In the midst of where things are not working for others, the blessing will take you up!
The blessing can make you get married, the blessing can make you have children, the blessing can make you prosper.
-Now, I decree, whatever you lack in redemption, the blessing has supplied it in your life!
But let me say this to you because of time, every time God wants to change a man’s story, he connects the blessing with something. I’d like you to look at Noah, where we read in Genesis chapter 8, Noah gave an offering and in Genesis chapter 9, God blessed him. Abraham gave an offering, He blessed him, Jacob in Genesis 27:27-29, gave a seed to Isaac his father, the Bible said, ‘And God blessed him! There is always a connection to receiving the blessing. Church Gist. You are not buying the blessing but it’s a covenant principle, you don’t buy blessing because you can have a wrong heart. And if you have a wrong heart, it will not work! Your heart must be pure because you are not doing… Jacob did not go there to play pranks with the father, he went there to receive what? The blessing. He didn’t go to say, ‘You are a useless man, yeye man’! He went knowing that his father’s words will not fall to the ground.
When Bishop Oyedepo blessed us – My mentor and your grandfather, our life turned. Where I am and where my parents are, the gap is too much. It is not because I work harder, it is because of the blessing. The blessing supernaturally catapults you. The blessing is like, little effort, more results. Let me make it very simple, when you are not blessed, you are riding bicycle when you are blessed you are flying jet. There is no speed of bicycle that will meet jet. Church Gist. Travel from here to Ore, you are close to Lagos, that is you are with bicycle at Ore and somebody is taking off with flight now from Port-Harcourt, you will get to Lagos, he will finish meeting before you get to Lagos. The fastest bicycle cannot meet the slowest jet. The blessing is jet, no blessing is bicycle.
-Now, I pronounce you blessed Isaiah 65:8.
-Now, in the Name of Jesus, because every blessed man satan reacts, when Job was blessed satan got angry.
The words I’m pronouncing, they are not mere words.
-Whatever wants to destroy you, the blessing I pronounce on you now will never allow that evil.
-Any form of evil that is extended in your life, by the passing and pronouncement upon you, you will be unkillable.
Declaration: Because I carry the blessing satan, I am indestructible.
The couldn’t kill Joseph because of the blessing!
-Now, by the words I’ve spoken now, all that hates you can’t kill you.
-In the Name of Jesus, on this Father’s Day, may the Father’s blessing which maketh rich, which turneth a man’s captivity, which brings fruitfulness, blessings and liftings of all kinds rest upon you in the Name of Jesus!
-All those who curse you, who say you will not prosper, who say life will not go well, enchanters, occult men, I command their works destroyed.
-You are blessed!

In Jesus’ Mighty Name, I am standing before the Holy Ghost, I hear God as a man hears his friend. Hear what God says to me, ‘Tell my people not to use their mouth to cancel what they have prayed’. One careless statement you have said here: ‘Don’t mind Papa’! That is the end. Everything I have said will go. Be careful! For God to give me that warning even if somebody wants to talk, leave him. Anybody wey em mouth dey leak, commot’! Church Gist. Carry your blessing go your way’! Some people are very funny, Satan can pass through them and say, ‘All these things wey Papa dey talk, it’s only money money e dey talk’! And you say, ‘No mind am, na so I see am oo’! Just that one word will remove the whole thing I said on you.
For God to give me warning, He’s talking to somebody who is already at that point. Please allow those evil people to go their way, they may be in Church allow them go their way. Abeg carry your wahala and go, na the blessing I want, I no wan this your talk, this talk wetin em go put for my table, carry am go. Church Gist. For God to give me such a word from Heaven, be careful. If anybody’s mouth want to leak, leave the person’s mouth to leak, carry your own blessing and go. All those whose mouths leaked against Bishop Oyedepo, they are nowhere to be found, me I’m just carrying the blessing and I’m flying.
-Fly with the blessing in the Name of Jesus!
God sees my heart, I love you! And from my heart, I pronounce you blessed!
No good father who would love his children to suffer, no! I love you so much to allow you suffer!
-May my God bless you! From my heart, may the God that called me bless you in Jesus’ Mighty Name!
But make sure you honour your parents spiritually and physically to tap into the blessing! The blessing is tapped with a venison, you don’t buy it but you tap into it.
