Revelations 3:7-8. Very quickly this night, I speak on the “THE KEY OF DAVID”. Church Gist. We want to understand what the key of David does and to understand the secrets of the effectiveness of the key of David.
When we talk about the key of David, we are referring to the secret of David – what made David to be David. What did David know that others didn’t know? What was the mystery behind the life of David. Church Gist. Just one mystery – Psalm 34:1. What is the secret of David? What was behind the life of David? It was ceaseless, dieless, endless, tireless and discouragement-less praise. Praise that is not seasonal but ceaseless. Psalm 150:6. Church Gist. He was praising God on a continual basis, that was they of David that opened the doors for David that nothing could shut and shut other doors that nothing could open.
“His praise shall continually be in my mouth” means that even when Absalom rebelled against, I praise the Lord, even when the lion and bear came against me, I praise the Lord; when my father and mother forgot me, I praise the Lord.
What door would the key of David open?
1. The key of David opens the door of God’s presence. Psalm 22:3. Psalm 100:4. Church Gist m It opens the door of His presence and closes the door of dryness.
2. The key of David opens the door of power. You want to know power? Power with God and in ministry. Psalm 63:1-2.
3. The key of David opens the door of possibilities. Anything is possible where praise is applied. Psalm 114:1-3. Church Gist. Anything is possible including the bringing down of Goliath for the one who knows praise.
4. The key of David opens the door of potentials. Nobody was more gifted than David in the old testament. Nobody manifested more anointing than David. He walked in all the realms. What was the key? Praise. Acts 13:36. Church Gist. How did he serve God? He downloaded, as a Priest, a Prophet, a King, a music director, a musician, instrumentalist, songwriter, vocalist, he was everything. Church Gist. He was a military general, a strategist, a warrior, a people developer, a leader, anything that anybody could be in the old testament, David was.
5. They key of David opens the door of the Prophetic (prophetic light and fulfilment). When I mean the Prophetic, I’m talking about accessing revelation, knowing what God is saying and seeing what God said you would see. There are two dimensions there – getting to know what God is saying to you and walking in the fulfillment of what God has said about you. Praise would make you to hear God. Psalm 89:15. 2 Kings 3:15.
6. The key of David opens the door of provision – Divine provision and supernatural supplies. You’re not a victim or a candidate of scarcity. Psalm 67:5-7. The earth yields her increase for the key of David. The man who knows how to praise God is not permitted to be a beggar.
As we apply this key tonight, get ready for what God would do for you in this country.

7. The key of David opens the door of the palace. 1 Samuel 16:17-18,21. “Find me an instrumentalist, somebody who can play and worship well” and they found David for Saul and the capacity to worship God took him to the place. Church Gist. It opens the door for your correct placement, it opens the door to where you’re meant to be.
8. The Key of David opens the door of pardon and mercy. Psalm 106:1. When I praise the Lord, what do I expect? His goodness and His mercy. It opens the door of mercy.
– I believe that there shall be mercy for our Nation in this season in the name of Jesus!
What is it that makes your praise work?
11. Praise and worship in the beauty of Holiness. Psalm 29:2. Church Gist. Praise and worship in the beauty of Holiness, not the ugliness of wickedness or the ugliness of godlessness, it’s always the beauty of Holiness. It cleans your heart and your life so that your praise can be accepted.
2. Praise and worship God with all your might. Praising and worshiping in abandonment, that was the key of David. 2 Samuel 6:14. Our challenge in our generation is that we are too civilized. I am a gentleman, very gentle. Church Gist. If you ask my wife and those around me, they know. In my Medical school graduating class, I received a “Gentleman of the year” award by colleague classmates. But, when it comes to the devil, I lose all gentility and when it comes to the dance, your opinion is immaterial. “Did this man go to the university?” “He went very well sef”. It’s immaterial. Church Gist. I dance here, I dance at home, I dance anywhere. I was at the airport in Lagos sometime ago, music was playing and I started moving my shoulder until I said, “wait a minute, I need to be sure of what music this is”. Church Gist. That is why we need danceable Christian songs because the dance is inside the body.

– I announce today, by the dance of tonight, you’re stepping into His presence!
– I announce to somebody, the presence of God is about to overwhelm your life!
– I prophesy, somebody is stepping into a new realm of power!
– somebody here, get ready, what if you tell people, they cannot believe is what is about to happen in your life!
– the door of your potentials, the graces you carry, they are about to be unleashed by this key of David!
– prophetic fulfilment for your life, for our nation, what God has spoken for you and for our nation that is what is about to be unleashed by the key of David!
– listen, anybody who is a victim of scarcity and shortage, you’re trusting God for resources that does not seem to be there, get ready, it is being released!
– the correct placement, where you belong, the palace place that is yours, by this key of David, you will take your place there!
– what is correct for our Nation in this season, Jehovah will make it happen!
– everyone in need of pardon and mercy, His mercy cleans up our mess and messes up the devil, you will see His mercy!
